Dawood Safi, 28, carried out a triple stabbing in Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge on Oct 27 which resulted in the death of Wayne Broadhurst, 49.

Two other people, 45-year-old Shazhad Farrukh, Safi’s landlord, and a 14-year-old boy were injured in the attack.

At the Old Bailey last week, Safi, who entered the country illegally in the back of a lorry in 2020, was found guilty of the attempted murder of Mr Farrukh.

He had previously pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Mr Broadhurst through diminished responsibility.

French investigating judges have added racism as an aggravating circumstance to the cases against all the suspects formally investigated over the 2023 killing of 16-year-old Thomas Perotto.

The decision, announced on Thursday, July 23rd, comes more than two and a half years after the fatal attack at the village’s winter dance in Crépol, in south-eastern France.

According to a source close to the investigation, the judges amended the charges after considering around 10 witness statements reporting remarks hostile to white people at the end of the dance, including: “We’re here to stab white people.”

Thomas Perotto, a secondary school pupil and rugby player, was fatally stabbed during the night of November 18-19, 2023, after violence erupted at the village event. Three other people were seriously wounded.

The alleged perpetrators are believed to be a group of young men from North African immigrant families from the working-class neighborhoods of nearby Romans-sur-Isère.

On June 12, prosecutors in Valence requested that eleven people stand trial over Thomas’s death.

Fuming Long Island residents are fighting to the opening of a Muslim boarding school for boys that’s expected to house 120 teenage students — claiming it will destroy a quiet suburban neighborhood.

A group of Bay Shore homeowners claims the proposal for an overnight dorm is illegal under codes for the suburban Saxon Avenue, on a 13-acre waterfront property that housed a Catholic seminary years ago.

“The proposed use by the new property owner is far more intensive than what is appropriate for a quiet residential neighborhood,” Kevin Colgan, an Islip resident and leader of the anti-boarding school movement in the neighborhood, known as “Saxon Says No,” said in a statement.

“This is about protecting the integrity of our zoning laws — not opposing any individual or organization — zoning laws exist to preserve the character, integrity, and quality of life within our neighborhoods while ensuring that land uses are appropriate for their surroundings,” Colgan said.

Youth violence is becoming an increasingly serious concern across Vienna, with district leaders warning that gangs of young offenders are committing brutal attacks, robberies, vandalism, and assaults throughout the Austrian capital. Following a series of high-profile violent incidents, districts across the city are calling for stronger police presence and immediate action to restore public safety.

District representatives report repeated incidents involving fights, robberies, property damage, and attacks. They also warn that children under the age of 14 are becoming involved in criminal activity more frequently. Because these offenders are below the age of criminal responsibility, they often face no legal consequences after being apprehended by police.

One particularly striking example comes from Brigittenau, where district officials say a single suspect under the age of 14 is linked to 270 offenses, highlighting the difficulties authorities face when dealing with unpunishable repeat juvenile offenders.

District politicians also warn that the perpetrators are becoming not only younger but increasingly aggressive. Many see this as both a public security issue and a broader societal warning sign. They further argue that many known offenders operate across multiple districts, making it difficult for local authorities to respond effectively within their own jurisdictions.

A veteran Swedish police officer has warned that Islamisation will soon overtake migrant gang violence as the greatest threat facing the country.

Maria Rosander, who has served in the police for 17 years and leads the national-conservative Sweden Democrats in Uppsala County, said tougher criminal laws were beginning to reduce the shootings and bombings that have plagued Sweden for the past decade.

However, she argued that such measures cannot address religious segregation, Islamic radicalisation and the refusal of some migrant communities to assimilate.

In a recent interview, Rosander recounted the dramatic conditions that Swedish police officers have to face while in the line of duty since migrant crime skyrocketed in the past decade. Just last year, there were 189 bombings (as well as nearly three hundred foiled plans) in the country, along with 158 shootings, a number relatively low compared to the 2022 peak of 391.

Three rambunctious Moroccan “youths” attempted to make whoopee with a young lady in Playa de Palma on the Spanish island of Mallorca. When their advances were rejected, the young miscreants used violence in a bid to have their way with the reluctant victim. Fortunately, the young woman made a spirited defense, and came out of the incident with her virtue intact, despite having injuries from being beaten.

A Muslim outreach leader told visitors at a Plano mosque Saturday that Sharia is “already here,” describing it as a religious framework Muslims follow through charity, family obligations and personal conduct.

Outside the Islamic Association of Collin County, an Iran-born Christian who said he lived under Sharia offered a starkly different warning. He argued that Islamic law becomes dangerous when it gains political power and is enforced by the state.

It has been well over a year since I last reported on the murder of Saman Abbas in Italy. For readers who are unfamiliar with what happened, here is a précis of the case:

In the spring of 2021 a young Pakistani woman named Saman Abbas disappeared from the Italian town of Novellara. The local authorities eventually concluded that she had been “honor-killed” by her parents and male relatives for refusing to be married to her cousin and for daring to want to live like a normal teenage girl. It wasn’t until months later that her body was found.

Saman’s father and mother fled to Pakistan. Her uncle and two cousins were arrested in various European countries. At first her uncle Danish was identified as the likely killer, but he fingered her mother as the perpetrator.

Saman’s parents were tried and convicted — the mother in absentia, since she was still in Pakistan, although the father had been extradited — and sentenced to life in prison. Eventually her mother was also extradited to Italy.

As of my most recent reports, the two cousins had been acquitted when the parents were acquitted. However, in the interim the prosecution has appealed the acquittals, and the cousins were eventually convicted and sentenced to life.

After an appeal to the Court of Cassation, the court upheld the convictions. I’m not certain whether this is the end of all appeals, or whether there might possibly be more.

A Texas imam is under fire after appearing to celebrate the death of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, writing, “May you live an eternity in ruins.”

On July 12, hours after Graham’s death was announced, Omar Suleiman, president and co-founder of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, posted on social media.

“In other news, Lindsey Graham is dead,” Suleiman wrote. “Bye Lindsey. May you live an eternity in ruins for the ruins you helped create in Gaza. Ameen.”

His remarks sparked outrage among Republican lawmakers, with U.S. Rep. Chip Roy of Texas writing on social media, “A U.S. Senator dies—and an Imam in Texas celebrates. We are at war—and only one side understands it.”

A flight from Turkey to Düsseldorf became the scene of a violent altercation—with a ‘culture clash’ at the heart of the conflict.

In the early hours of June 1, a male passenger refused to take his assigned seat with Turkish Airlines because it would mean him sitting next to a woman. He explicitly cited Sharia law to justify his actions. When a female flight attendant approached the man to address his non-compliance and defuse the situation, the confrontation quickly escalated.

Witness testimonies now coming to light reveal that the passenger slapped the flight attendant during the dispute. Upon landing at Düsseldorf Airport, federal police officers immediately boarded the aircraft to secure the scene and file a formal report for bodily injury.

The suspect, identified as a German citizen of Turkish descent, reportedly admitted to the assault on the spot during his initial questioning by federal authorities.The investigation has since been handed over to the Düsseldorf Police Department for further legal action.

Industry estimates suggest that flight attendants now face some form of aggression on roughly one out of every 500 flights.

Houthi rebels are preparing to shut the Bab el-Mandeb strait on behalf of Iran.

The Yemeni group, Tehran’s most capable regional proxy, is laying the groundwork and quietly extending their reach to the Horn of Africa, according to sources in Yemen.

The Houthis will work with al-Shabab, the Somali militant group, to control both sides of the waterway in order to inflict more pain on the global economy and ramp up pressure on Donald Trump.

“There are a lot of indicators showing coordination between the Houthis and al-Shabab,” one source told The Telegraph.

The cleric runs an annual five-day “spiritual warrior” training camp with religious education in the Peak District, one of which took place last month.

Israel has shared intelligence with the United States that Iran had developed a new plot to assassinate President Donald Trump, according to media reports.

Citing an article by The Wall Street Journal Thursday and two people familiar with the matter, CNN reported that the intelligence revealed there was a “new” and “specific” threat. The details were not disclosed. However, the story added that U.S. intelligence agencies had not independently identified the threat or vetted it.

Israeli officials reportedly passed the intelligence to Washington in recent days or weeks.

Chaotic scenes broke out on the streets of Amsterdam and The Hague again over the weekend after Morocco defeated Canada over 5,000 miles away in Texas. Groups of Morocco supporters took to the streets, with reports of fireworks being fired into crowds, reckless driving, and clashes with police.

Despite the disorder, police adopted a restrained approach. Riot squad commander Sander van der Hulle said officers deliberately avoided intervening in some incidents to prevent wider violence.

“If you start enforcing against minor offences, it becomes war,” he told De Telegraaf, adding that police sometimes choose not to intervene in order to stop situations from escalating.

Germany recorded 751 gang rapes in 2025 and the majority of the offenders were foreigners, according to figures released by the federal government in response to a parliamentary inquiry by the right-wing opposition Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party.

While there was a slight decline from 788 recorded cases in 2024 and 761 in 2023, the fact remains that gang rape was a relatively rare phenomenon in Germany before 2015, the start of the European migration crisis.

Liberal-led Berlin recorded the highest number of cases, with 118 offences, making the capital the country’s principal rape hotspot.

The statistics identified 1,083 suspects in connection with the recorded gang rapes. Of these, 53% were non-German nationals—among them 110 Syrians, 64 Afghans, 46 Iraqis, and 44 Turks. The rest of the perpetrators held German citizenship, but the data doesn’t say whether they are of a migrant background.

Pro-Palestine marches are being funded by a complex web of foreign donors and state actors, a report reveals.

The report by the US charity watchdog NGO Monitor found examples of Iranian and American far-Left groups bankrolling anti-Israel groups in the UK, creating an “ecosystem” of disruption.

Police have admitted that they do not know what country the Belfast knife attack suspect is from.

Hadi Alodid was charged with the attempted murder of Stephen Ogilvie, 44, who lost an eye and suffered injuries to his back and head in the attack last month.

Footage shared widely on social media at the time showed a knifeman holding down and stabbing his victim, in an attack which triggered violent anti-immigration protests.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) originally said Mr Alodid was from Somalia, before stating that he was Sudanese. However, a month after the attack, the force has said he may be from the neighbouring African country of Chad.

In any case, I think we can presume he’s Muslim, and therefore where he’s ‘from’ is the Dar al-Islam.

Donald Trump has declared an end to the ceasefire with Iran.

The US president told reporters he didn’t “want to deal with them any more” after launching overnight strikes on Tehran.

In an angry address at the Nato summit in Ankara, Mr Trump told reporters: “These are evil, sick people,” and described them as scum and a cancer that needs to be cut out.

Apparently The Donald is out of patience.

The US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on June 17, which paused fighting between the two countries and committed to a 60-day negotiating period to reach a final, lasting peace agreement.

But Iran has continued its attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz – a key global oil artery.

He lasted longer than I thought he would. And, truth to tell, longer than I would have.

Somali pirate attacks on shipping in the Gulf of Aden region are on the rise, according to the U.N., a naval task force and a joint naval communications operation. The spike comes amid ongoing tensions in the Persian Gulf between the U.S. and Iran, and one regional military task force tells us these Somali Pirate Action Groups (PAGs) may be taking advantage of that situation. Meanwhile, a think tank suggests that the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels of Yemen are aiding these pirates in a form of so-called gray zone conflict.

Regardless, these incidents are posing increased security risks to a commercial shipping industry already roiled by the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran and its ongoing aftermath, which is starting to heat up again after about a week of calm.

The U.S. military announced that it had launched strikes against Iran Tuesday evening, marking the latest exchange of blows between the countries amid a fragile ceasefire.

In a post on X, U.S. Central Command announced that American forces had begun launching a “series of powerful strikes against Iran to impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping crewed by innocent civilians in an international waterway.

“The U.S. strikes are in response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” the post continued. “Iran’s demonstrated aggression was unwarranted, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire.”

The latest round of violence could further imperil U.S. negotiations over fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz and reviving talks over Iran’s nuclear program.

On Monday evening, hundreds of people gathered to protest in front of a residential building in Kraków, Poland’s second-largest city, after it had been revealed that a “community center” in one of the rental apartments had actually been operating as an illegal mosque for some time, without the knowledge of other residents.

The main organizer of the demonstration was right-wing activist Micha? Kostrzy?ski, who led a months-long investigation into the alleged community center and documented his findings online. Kostrzy?ski learned that the space was actually a house of Muslim worship, run without proper authorization by the Al-Fajr Foundation, a self-described “Islamic and cultural foundation based in Kraków, established to serve, support, and empower the Muslim community in Kraków and across Poland.”

While the staff insisted that it was only a “community center” for cultural education and nothing more—the same thing they told residents—Kostrzy?ski found their fundraiser requests from last year, in which they were openly asking for donations for a third “house of prayer,” because the other two in the city were already at full capacity.

The town of Woodbridge, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C., was recently home to a public roadside march of Islamic supporters who chanted sayings in a foreign language, beat their chests, and flew flags written in Arabic.

The scene was captured in a video posted on X.

Amy Mek, founder of the Rise, Align, Ignite, Reclaim Foundation, described the march on social media as an organized event from the Mohammadia Center of Virginia, a group that describes itself as “a cornerstone for the Shia Muslim community in the Washington metropolitan area.”

The Mohammadia Center of Virginia did not respond to the Daily Signal’s request for comment.

Ahmed, 73, was released from prison last week after serving 14 years of a 22-year sentence for 30 child rape offences. He cannot be returned to Pakistan despite being stripped of his UK citizenship.

ot much remains today of the walls, ramparts and moats that once surrounded Benin City in southern Nigeria. Yet for centuries these giant earthworks—second in length only to China’s Great Wall among man-made structures—bespoke a mighty civilisation whose authority extended across much of west Africa. By the standards of pre-colonial Africa, the Benin state was exceptionally strong: erecting the wall in a single dry season might have required mobilising as many as 5,000 men, each working ten hours a day. But as the empire withered and eventually succumbed to British invaders in the late 19th century, most of the earthworks vanished. So did those of many other fortified towns across west Africa.

Now they are returning. Since the mid-2010s, as jihadist insurgencies have spread across northern Nigeria and the Sahel, defensive earthworks have risen up around towns and cities. Many are so extensive they are clearly visible in satellite images. According to new research by Olivier Walther and Steven Radil, geographers at the University of Florida, all urban centres in north-east Nigeria with populations of more than 10,000 are now secured by trenches. Most big towns there and in the Lake Chad basin are surrounded by sand berms up to three metres high.

There is a nervousness in Lebanon’s corridors of power. But the whispers are not about the US or Israel. They are about Unit 121 – a threat from within.

Known as “Hezbollah’s death machine” and the most secretive and brutal arm of the terror group, the unit has been linked to some of the country’s most notorious political assassinations, including that of Rafik al-Hariri, the former prime minister, in 2005.

Now, angry at a peace deal between Lebanon and Israel that neuters Hezbollah’s operations against the Jewish state, they are regrouping.

“This is one of the most secretive and lethal units in the world, second only to a similar Russian unit, the GRU,” Ronen Solomon, the author of an upcoming trilogy on Hezbollah and its global operations, told The Telegraph.

A migrant who attacked a group of small children and caused riots in Dublin has been found guilty of attempted murder.

Riad Bouchaker was convicted on Wednesday for the knife attack in Parnell Square in 2023.

Bouchaker was found guilty of the attempted murder of a five-year-old girl, who was stabbed in the heart during the attack and is now non-verbal, uses a wheelchair and cannot swallow safely.

Iranian hardliners abruptly cut off a television interview with the country’s chief peace negotiator as he was defending the deal with the United States.

The pre-recorded interview with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stopped midway through its broadcast on the IRINN state TV channel on Tuesday night, prompting a rare public protest from parliament.

Mr Ghalibaf was in the middle of a sentence which started: “The $12bn – yes, they can do it and it is ongoing” when the screen went black and then switched to an old speech by Ali Khamenei, the former supreme leader.

Denmark’s government, led by the center-left Social Democrats, has once again announced plans to pursue a nationwide ban on the public broadcast of the Islamic call to prayer via loudspeakers. This now amounts to the third time the center-left government is trying to ban the call to prayer.

Almost ten years ago, a Catholic priest was set upon by Islamists who had sworn an oath of allegiance to the Islamic State group. Now, as part of a relatively rapid administrative process, Fr. Jacques Hamel looks set to be beatified by the Church he served for many years.

Hamel was murdered on July 26th, 2016, in the Church of Saint-Étienne in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, near Rouen. His two young killers entered the church during Mass and pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, before killing Hamel at the altar. (Another churchgoer was seriously injured.)

In the years since, this still notorious case has prompted pilgrimage to the crime scene, where a once blood-soaked wooden altar, still showing knife-marks, stands beside a desecrated cross.

Whereas there is a standard waiting period for a beatification process, normally at least five years, the Pope has waived this. Instead, the Diocese of Rouen was allowed to commence work on Jacques Hamel’s case significantly earlier, completing this phase in 2019 with an 11,000-page dossier, now under review in Rome.

Vatican News describes the document as comprising more than 100 kilograms of paper, around 10,000 hours of work, 600 transcribed sermons, and interviews with 60 witnesses. Officially already a martyr, this process puts Hamel on the path to beatification.

Arab Muslim migrant Loay Alnaji, a former community college professor, walked up to 69-year-old Paul Kessler at a protest in Thousand Oaks, California, two months after the horrific October 7th terror attack carried out by Hamas jihadis.

Alnaji, a jihad-lover, was angry that Kessler was counter-protesting the mostly peaceful pro-jihad rally. The two traded verbal spars, then witnesses say Alnaji walked over to Kessler and smacked him on the head with his megaphone.

Kessler fell backward on the concrete, busted his head open, and died due to the resulting brain bleed.

Judge Derek Malan offered Alnaji a sweetheart deal after he pled guilty in May to felony involuntary manslaughter and felony battery causing serious bodily injury. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to one year in county jail and two years of probation.

During the march, observing a holy day that holds major historical and religious significance for Shiite and Sunni Muslims, attendees openly chanted the name of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in a 2024 Israeli airstrike, and paid tribute to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The event drew severe criticism online and from civic groups, particularly due to the treatment of young children during the processions. Social media footage showed children dressed in ceremonial robes and bound with ropes, being led through the streets in 40-degree heat. The Jewish Forum for Democracy and Against Antisemitism (JFDA) condemned the scene on its X account, calling it a “disturbing instrumentalization of children” who were put on display for an “Islamist spectacle” under dangerous weather conditions.
