Scientists Identified a New Blood Group After a 50-Year Mystery

31st January 2026

Science Alert.

A pregnant woman’s blood sample taken in 1972 was mysteriously missing a surface molecule found on all other known red blood cells at the time.

More than 50 years later, that strange absence finally led researchers from the UK and Israel to describe a new blood group system in humans. The team published a paper on the discovery in 2024.

“It represents a huge achievement, and the culmination of a long team effort, to finally establish this new blood group system and be able to offer the best care to rare, but important, patients,” hematologist Louise Tilley from the UK National Health Service said in September 2024, after nearly 2 decades of personally researching this bloody quirk.

A Breakthrough That Could Make Ships Nearly Unsinkable

31st January 2026

ScienceDaily.

Researchers have found a way to make ordinary aluminum tubes float indefinitely, even when submerged for long periods or punched full of holes. By engineering the metal’s surface to repel water, the tubes trap air inside and refuse to sink, even in rough conditions. The technology could eventually be scaled up into floating platforms, ships, or even wave-powered energy systems.

Neil Young Encounters Tthe Most Boomer Leftist Problem Imaginable

31st January 2026

Read it.

Aging rocker Neil Young has encountered perhaps the most boomer of leftist boomer issues, and of course it’s all President Trump’s fault.

He can no longer use his ancient flip phone because orange man bad.

In a rambling post on his website, Young details his epic struggle to ditch Verizon service, convinced that every dollar he spends fuels a “Trump Fascist regime.”

It’s peak boomer leftist TDS paranoia, where everyday consumer choices somehow morph into grand acts of resistance.

Young kicks off his diatribe with the revelation that his flip phone bears the Verizon logo. “Mornin’ folks….It’s a new day….a big day for my Flip phone. I noticed it says VERIZON on it. Of course I can’t use a Verizon phone. Verizon is a supporter of TRUMP with big $!” he writes, as if discovering a hidden swastika etched into the device.

Muslim Leaders in Italian City Demand Removal of Plastic Pig From Deli Shop Window

31st January 2026

Read it.

A plastic pig displayed in the window of a newly opened delicatessen on the Piazza dei Signori in the Italian city of Padua has triggered a local controversy after a senior representative of the city’s Muslim community called for its removal, arguing that it is offensive and inappropriate.

The pig, placed in the window of the deli Mortadella… e Non Solo, is used to advertise the shop’s sandwiches and cured meats, which are primarily made from pork.

According to Il Giornale, Salim El Mauoed, the regional vice president of Padua’s Muslim community, urged both the shop’s owners and local authorities to intervene, describing the display as “in bad taste” and offensive to Muslims who pass through the area.

Then they ought to  pick another route.

NYC Targets Newsmax in Taxis, Seeks Ban

31st January 2026

Read it.

New York’s Manhattan borough president has launched a campaign targeting Newsmax and seeking its ban in the city’s taxicabs.

Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal, a Democrat, announced this week that he is demanding Mayor Zohran Mamdani pull Newsmax from the city’s taxi TV screens.

Newsmax called the move an “act of pure censorship.”

New York City’s taxicabs are privately owned. The City issues licenses — called “medallions” — to cab owners.

Tower Hamlets Councillor ‘Represents’ Constituents From Bangladesh

31st January 2026

Read it.

Sabina Khan, a councillor in the Labour-dominated London borough of Tower Hamlets, has been carrying out most of her duties ‘remotely’ from Bangladesh for the past eight months, while continuing to receive her full council allowance, Daily Mail reports.

Khan receives a total of £20,600 a year in allowances. This includes £11,898 as a basic councillor’s allowance and an additional £8,702 linked to her role as Scrutiny Lead for Resources, which involves overseeing council spending. According to the Daily Mail, Khan has spent most of the past eight months in the Bangladeshi city of Sylhet, rarely attending council meetings in person and instead joining remotely, sending a proxy, or missing meetings altogether.

The newspaper reports that Khan is seeking to pursue her ambition of becoming a member of parliament in Bangladesh and has been actively campaigning for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Videos shared on social media show her speaking at rallies and taking part in campaign events, while she plans to retain her council seat until the local elections in May. Several local government sources have described the situation as “scandalous.” Khan, GB News reported in November last year, in fact failed to win the BNP nomination.

Communities Secretary Steve Reed said it was “shocking” for a councillor to abandon her constituents in order to pursue a political career in another country. Khan has argued that British law does not prohibit political activity abroad and that she has continued to serve her constituents remotely.

The latest controversy further damages the reputation of Tower Hamlets’ leadership, long overshadowed by allegations of corruption and poor governance.

Democrat Faces Expulsion Over Findings of MASSIVE Fraud

After the House Ethics Committee announced it found over two dozen instances of “serious financial crimes” against Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, D-Fla., Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., announced on Thursday night he will be filing a resolution to expel the congresswoman.

“In November, I filed a resolution to expel [Cherfilus-McCormick] following her indictment by the [Justice Department],” Steube posted on X. “Today’s House Ethics findings detail more than two dozen counts of serious financial crimes. When we return to Washington, I’ll call up a resolution to expel her from Congress.”

The Department of Justice previously charged Cherfilus-McCormick for allegedly stealing over $5 million in COVID-19 disaster relief funds and making illegal campaign contributions. If convicted, she could face upward of 53 years in prison.

What’s Up With All These Leftists in Healthcare Professions Who Proudly Advocate Harming MAGA Supporters?

31st January 2026

Read it.

You’ve seen the articles: healthcare workers (often nurses) who boast that they won’t treat MaGA supporters or even that they’ll harm or kill them. Another variant is the same claim about not treating, or outright harming, Israelis.

This shouldn’t surprise us, although it probably does. People who work in healthcare are people, after all, and there’s always been a certain number of natural sociopaths drawn to the profession. We’ve always heard of the random nurse or doctor who injects patients with something lethal, although their numbers have mercifully been very low. But they have always existed.

However, what’s going on now seem to be a new phenomenon, and although it continues to involve a small number it’s certainly more people than the group I described above. This time, also, they seem to have little awareness that they will face any negative consequences for publicly stating their willingness to harm or kill patients. They brag about their intent to commit such crimes, and seem to consider it a good way to virtue-signal. When they are suspended or fired, they’re probably very surprised.

If they are young (and by “young” I mean anything under forty) they’ve been steeped in leftist education, for the most part. So some of this is a generational phenomenon. Then there’s widespread TDS and the demonization of anyone supporting Trump, which has increased over the years rather than decreased. I see it myself, nearly constantly. It becomes standard in many circles, and that escalates matters as well, when one’s colleagues and friends and family seem to all agree that MAGA equals Nazi. That thought is reiterated and magnified through the MSM, Democrat and NeverTrump politicians and pundits, and social media.

Healthcare professionals often go into the profession through a desire to do good, and if killing Nazis is good then they’ll do that, too. Nor is their professional training politically neutral, either.

DOJ Joins Lawsuit Accusing UCLA Med School of Unlawful Race-Based Admissions

31st January 2026

Read it.

The Justice Department is joining a lawsuit against the University of California, Los Angeles medical school for alleged race-based admissions that it says violate a Supreme Court ruling.

Last May, student groups sued the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA regarding the continued use of race in admission practices, despite a 2023 Supreme Court ruling that barred universities from using race as a factor in admissions decisions.

Plaintiffs who brought the initial case included Students for Fair Admissions, which previously sued Harvard and the University of North Carolina in cases that were decided by the high court. The other plaintiff is Do No Harm. Both groups represent students denied admission into the UCLA medical school.

“Even after the Supreme Court banned race-balancing, the Geffen School kept discriminating by using illegal DEI preferences in admissions,” Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said in a public statement Thursday.

Asylum Seeker Sentenced to Life for Brutal Stabbing of UK Hotel Worker

31st January 2026

Read it.

A Sudanese asylum seeker has been sentenced to a minimum of 29 years in prison after murdering hotel worker Rhiannon Skye Whyte at Bescot Stadium station in Walsall, England in October 2024.

Deng Chol Majek—an illegal migrant from Somalia who had been in the UK for less than three months—stabbed the 27-year-old mother of a five-year-old son 23 times with a screwdriver. Eleven of the blows struck her head, one piercing her brainstem. Whyte survived for three days in hospital before succumbing to her injuries.

Majek followed Whyte from the Park Inn Hotel, where she worked and he was housed as an asylum seeker, to the station. CCTV footage and witness testimony showed him returning to the hotel in bloodied clothing, then “drinking, smoking and chatting” with friends. After the attack, he threw her phone into a river and left her for dead.

French Crime Breaks New Records

31st January 2026

Read it.

Following the release of immigration figures for 2025, the French Interior Ministry has published crime statistics for the past year. These figures dramatically coincide with the French people’s perception that they are living in an increasingly dangerous and violent country. Furthermore, cross-referencing this data with immigration figures confirms another intuitive observation: foreigners are over-represented in crimes of all kinds.

Apart from burglaries, absolutely all crime indicators rose between 2024 and 2025: 5% on average for physical violence and homicides, and up to 8% for sexual violence. This increase is not new: it is a significant trend, as analyst Marc Vanguard points out. As far as assaults are concerned, there has been a 25% increase since 2017, when Emmanuel Macron came to power. For sexual violence, the increase is as high as 132%.

Never Let Leftists Say They Are the First Amendment Stalwart

31st January 2026

The Foundry.

The leftist media cabal constantly imagines itself as the grand embodiment of democracy and freedom of speech, even as it seeks to put Republicans in jail and hopes to censor them from speaking on social media. It doesn’t live up to its First Amendment boasting.

For example, there’s “CNN International” host Christiane Amanpour, whose leftist ravings are also broadcast on PBS stations. On Jan. 23, Amanpour led off her show with this attack on President Donald Trump: “He says he’s bringing free speech back to America, but one year into Trump 2.0, few presidents have done as much to degrade civil liberties and muzzle the free press. Former Washington Post Executive Editor Marty Baron joins me to discuss how American journalism can survive.”

Oh, the overwrought ardor! How will journalism survive as they seek to destroy Trump 24/7? Any pushback on their destruction campaign will be painted as an attack on freedom of the press.

New Brussels Guidelines Suggest Granting Asylum to ISIS Affiliates in Sweden

31st January 2026

Read it.

The European Union has issued new guidance affecting asylum decisions in Sweden and across the bloc, particularly concerning applicants with links to terrorist groups such as ISIS.

According to internal directives sent to staff at the Swedish Migration Agency in early January, individuals with affiliations to ISIS in Syria are now considered to potentially have a “well-founded fear of persecution.”

The guidelines, distributed to case officers in early January, mean that individuals with ISIS membership in Syria can potentially be granted asylum. To deny protection, the agency must prove involvement in war crimes, which is considered highly difficult.

Too Fast, Too Soon? Canada’s Medically Assisted Suicide Cases Reveal Potential Coercion, Rushed Decisions

31st January 2026

Read it.

In my most recent report on Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) program, I noted that the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) leadership is sharply criticizing Canada’s MAID program, which is now linked to organ donation, with one top official calling it a “strange new horror” and a cautionary example for other countries.

Now, even more disturbing revelations about the program are being made, which underscore the correctness of every concern expressed about this program.

Ontario’s chief coroner has released two new reports from the province’s interdisciplinary MAID Death Review Committee, examining same? or next?day provision of MAID and the use of waivers of final consent. The committee’s mandate was to look beyond individual files to the patterns they reveal.

Several of the cases reveal that the process for some included coercion and rushed decisions.

A Different Kind of Classroom Is Outperforming Expectations

31st January 2026

The Foundry.

In recent years, many parents have begun questioning long-standing assumptions about traditional education. Concerns about bureaucracy, one-size-fits-all curricula, and institutional failures have eroded confidence in the public school system for many families.

Some parents are also increasingly wary of ideological instruction in public schools, particularly when it comes to gender ideology and sex education.

While debate over education is healthy in our society, a growing number of families believe the system has become less responsive to individual needs and more influenced by political and administrative pressures.

It is little surprise, then, that parents are looking for alternatives. For many families, homeschooling has moved from the margins to the mainstream.

5,500-Year-Old Sumerian Star Map Recorded the Impact of a Massive Asteroid

31st January 2026

Read it.

The circular stone-cast tablet was discovered in the late 1800s from the 650 BC King Ashurbanipal ‘s underground library in Nineveh, Iraq.

Data processing, which was long believed to be an Assyrian tablet, mirrored the sky over Mesopotamia in 3300 BC and proved to be much more ancient Sumerian origin.

The tablet is the first astronomical instrument, the “Astrolabe.” It consists of a segmented, disk-shaped star chart with marked units of angle measure inscribed upon the rim.

Unfortunately considerable parts of the planisphere on this tablet are missing (approximately 40%), damage which dates to the sacking of Nineveh. The reverse of the tablet is not inscribed.

ICE Protester Says Her Global Entry Was Revoked After Agent Scanned Her Face

31st January 2026

Ars Technica.

Minnesota resident Nicole Cleland had her Global Entry and TSA Precheck privileges revoked three days after an incident in which she observed activity by immigration agents, the woman said in a court declaration. An agent told Cleland that he used facial recognition technology to identify her, she wrote in a declaration filed in US District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Cleland, a 56-year-old resident of Richfield and a director at Target Corporation, volunteers with a group that tracks potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) vehicles in her neighborhood, according to her declaration. On the morning of January 10, she “observed a white Dodge Ram being driven by what I believed to be federal enforcement agents” and “maneuvered behind the vehicle with the intent of observing the agents’ actions.”

Cleland said that she and another observer in a different car followed the Dodge Ram because of “concern about a local apartment building being raided.” She followed the car for a short time and from a safe distance until “the Dodge Ram stopped in front of the other commuter’s vehicle,” she wrote. Cleland said two other vehicles apparently driven by federal agents stopped in front of the Dodge Ram, and her path forward was blocked.

“An agent exited the vehicle and approached my vehicle,” Cleland wrote. “I remained in my vehicle. The agent addressed me by my name and informed me that they had ‘facial recognition’ and that his body cam was recording. The agent stated that he worked for border patrol. He wore full camouflage fatigues. The agent stated that I was impeding their work. He indicated he was giving me a verbal warning and if I was found to be impeding again, I would be arrested.”

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. AWFULs think that they can do this sort of thing with no consequences.

Sydney Sweeney Is Asked Point-Blank About Being Called ‘MAGA Barbie’

Sydney Sweeney’s latest deflection is a bust.

Cosmopolitan dropped its latest issue this week with the “Euphoria” star on the cover, showing her against a pink backdrop and pushing out her breasts while wearing a low-cut top.

“I can’t make everyone love me,” she’s quoted as saying on the cover, despite the cover implying that she’s trying very hard to make some people love something about her.

Despite the booby trap of a cover, however, many social media users on X and Bluesky seemed way more interested in the content of her interview than her physical endowments — especially since Sweeney has a habit of dodging questions about her personal politics amid an extremely political time.

As with every totalitarian ideology, Wokeism cannot allow CrimeThink anyway in society. It’s not enough to Love Big Sister; you have to SAY you Love Big Sister.

The Islamic Centre Selling Hezbollah Trinkets in the Heart of London

31st January 2026

The Telegraph (UK).

An Islamic centre is under investigation after hosting an event where Hezbollah phone cases and pro-Iranian regime key rings were sold.

The Islamic Centre of England, a registered charity, held a “community bazaar” which it described as a “vibrant space for cultural interaction, the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the strengthening of national and religious identity”.

But The Telegraph has obtained a dossier of images showing items on sale at the event, which include phone cases with silhouette photos of Hassan Nasrallah, the former secretary-general of Hezbollah, who was killed by Israel in 2024.

Hezbollah, a terrorist organisation based in southern Lebanon, is proscribed by the UK government meaning it is a criminal offence to display images that seemingly support the group.

Elsewhere at the bazaar were stickers featuring the apparent silhouettes of other Hezbollah commanders, including Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, who was killed in a US air strike in January 2020.

Trump’s Boycott Leaves UN ‘on Brink of Bankruptcy’, Says Secretary-General

31st January 2026

The Telegraph (UK).

The United Nations is on the brink of bankruptcy after Donald Trump cut funding, its secretary-general said.

Antonio Guterres said the organisation was at risk of “imminent financial collapse” and could run out of cash by July.

He blamed unpaid fees and a budget rule that forces the global body to return unspent money, according to a letter seen by Reuters on Friday.

The UN has struggled for cash after the US – its largest contributor – cut voluntary funding to the body’s agencies and refused to make payments to its regular and peacekeeping budgets.

Earlier this month, Washington announced the US would withdraw and cease funding for 31 UN entities, including a climate treaty and body promoting gender equality.

The U.N. has long since degenerated into a vast mechanism for transferring money from U.S. taxpayers to foreign parasites.

This is one of Trump’s main accomplishments.

Backseat Software

30th January 2026

Read it.

What if your car worked like so many apps? You’re driving somewhere important…maybe running a little bit late. A few minutes into the drive, your car pulls over to the side of the road and asks:
“How are you enjoying your drive so far?”
Annoyed by the interruption, and even more behind schedule, you dismiss the prompt and merge back into traffic.
A minute later it does it again.
“Did you know I have a new feature? Tap here to learn more.”
It blocks your speedometer with an overlay tutorial about the turn signal. It highlights the wiper controls and refuses to go away until you demonstrate mastery.
Ridiculous, of course.
And yet, this is how a lot of modern software behaves. Not because it’s broken, but because we’ve normalized an interruption model that would be unacceptable almost anywhere else.
I’ve started to think of this as backseat software: the slow shift from software as a tool you operate to software as a channel that operates on you. Once a product learns it can talk back, it’s remarkably hard to keep it quiet.

Fake FBI Agent ‘Tried to Break Luigi Mangione Out of Prison’

30th January 2026

The Telegraph (UK).

A man posing as an FBI agent tried to break Luigi Mangione out of prison, police sources have claimed.

Mr Mangione, 27, has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York, since being charged with the murder of Brian Thompson, the healthcare chief executive, in December 2024.

On Thursday, sources told ABC News that Mark Anderson, 36, had been charged with impersonating a federal agent after allegedly showing up at the prison with forged documents ordering Mr Mangione’s release.

Court documents show that Mr Anderson is accused of pretending to be an officer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and claiming to have paperwork “signed by a judge” authorising the release of an inmate.

Trump Has Announced A Ukraine Ceasefire. Is It a Sham or Showstopper?

30th January 2026

The Telegraph (UK).

President Donald Trump has announced an “energy ceasefire”. For one week, Ukraine and Russia will cease attacks on one another’s cities and critical infrastructure.

Details are sparse, beyond Trump’s claims that he asked Putin “not to fire into Kyiv and various towns for a week. And he agreed to do that”. The Kremlin has yet to confirm or deny Trump’s claim. Nor has Ukraine said whether it will refrain from strikes on Russian energy and oil refining infrastructure, which have wreaked considerable damage to the Russian economy.

But in the context of a four-year war without a single day of meaningful truth, such a truce would be a landmark.

If it happens – and more importantly, holds – Trump will at long last be able to point to genuine progress from his hitherto fruitless peace-making efforts.

Labour announced plans earlier this month to deny millions of people the vote, leaving some with no say over who controls their local services and council tax for up to seven years.

Elections have been cancelled at 30 councils over claims that a looming reorganisation of local government makes holding ballots expensive, complicated and unnecessary.

The Telegraph has launched a Campaign for Democracy, calling for ministers to be stripped of their legal powers to cancel local elections without a full vote in Parliament.

A remionder that it’s the Left, not the Right, who love to cancel elections—and, considering that Britain is about five years closer to disaster than the U.S., what might happen if Democrats control the national government aftert Trump steps down.

$68 Million Muslim Day Care Fraud Linked to New York Dems

29th January 2026

Read it.

Two years ago, Zakia Khan and her son Ahsan Ijaz hosted an NYPD promotion ceremony for the first Pakistani inspector in the New York City police department. After an Imam recited a prayer and everyone, including NYPD personnel, rose and put their hands on their hearts for the Pakistani national anthem, hailing Pakistan as the ‘citadel of Islam’ in the “shadow of Allah.”

Last year, Khan pleaded guilty to a $68 million Medicaid fraud scheme involving her adult day care centers, which had been the sponsors of the NYPD event, and earlier this year more members of the Muslim fraud ring pleaded guilty as well. Others are still awaiting trial.

The day care fraud not only dragged in Khan and her son, but also Malik Nadeem Abid, a prominent Democrat who had served as the vice chair of the Nassau County Democratic Party, had chaired a DNC committee, had been honored by both branches of New York’s legislature, and had been closely associated with a number of Democratic members of Congress.

Seven Extreme Democrat Attacks on ICE Help Explain Why Some Americans Are Losing Their Minds

29th January 2026

The Foundry.

Every day, it seems anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement agitators perpetrate a new atrocity against innocent people, and Democrats demonizing ICE arguably bear some of the blame.

On Sunday, they effectively laid siege to the Home2 Suites by Hilton Hotel, smashing the windows and spray-painting anti-ICE slogans, leading both state police and federal agents to respond.

On Tuesday, Virginia Commonwealth University Health announced that it fired a nurse after she released social media videos urging medical providers to use a “sabotage tactic” against ICE, preparing syringes with saline or succinylcholine, a muscle relaxant that can cause temporary partial paralysis.

In arguably the most infuriating example, agitators invaded Cities Church in St. Paul, in the middle of a service, and effectively shut it down. They reportedly screamed in the faces of crying children, prevented parents from getting to their children, and stopped terrified parishioners from leaving. They justified this by noting that one of the pastors works for ICE.

The deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both 37, at the hands of immigration enforcement have contributed to the climate of hostility against ICE, but those incidents arguably do not explain this extreme hatred.

What leads people to think it’s acceptable to target ICE so much that they’re willing to harass innocents?

Seven extreme statements from Democrat officials might provide an answer.

Car Rams Into Chabad Headquarters in New York City, Damaging Doors

29th January 2026

Read it.

man was arrested after repeatedly crashing his car into the Chabad Lubavitch world headquarters in New York City on Wednesday night while people were gathered for prayer at the deeply revered Hasidic Jewish site.

No one was injured when the driver struck a door of a building in the complex before reversing and striking it several more times. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said that while it was too early in the investigation to speculate on the driver’s motives, the incident was being investigated as a possible hate crime.

“This is deeply alarming, especially given the deep meaning and the history of the institution to so many in New York and around the world,” said New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who called the crash “intentional.”

Video of the crash that was posted online shows a car with New Jersey license plates moving forward and backward on an icy driveway leading to a building in the complex and ramming its basement-level doors.

The driver, who is wearing shorts, emerges, shouts to bystanders that “It slipped” and says something to police about trying to park.

And if you believe that one, he’ll tell you another one.

Why the US Was Right to Leave the WHO

29th January 2026

Read it.

The United States has pulled its membership in the World Health Organization (WHO), and many other nations are rethinking their participation. Of course, this could change with some future administration. The institution itself is not going anywhere. This is why it is crucial to understand the case for why the United States needed to pull out and cut all funding.

It’s also critically important that other nations join us and leave this organization. To top it all off, the WHO has become a pillar of duplicity even now.

Over the weekend, WHO head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “While WHO recommended the use of masks, physical distancing and vaccines, WHO did not recommend governments to mandate the use of masks or vaccines and never recommended lockdowns.”

This claim is easily refuted.

New Footage Appears to Show Alex Pretti Spit at ICE, Break SUV Tail Light in Prior Minneapolis Confrontation

29th January 2026

Read it.

The killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis last Saturday sparked national outrage – particularly when it comes to the 2nd Amendment and his right to carry while protesting. The incident resulted in two federal agents involved in the shooting being placed on leave, and the ouster of US border patrol chief Gregory Bovino as the face of the Trump administration’s mass deportation drive.

While the circumstances of his death are still under investigation – many believe this gun went off after an agent took it off his body, spooking the shooter or shooters – he was known to federal authorities, and had suffered a broken rib during a violent confrontation with agents about a week before his death, CNN reported Tuesday.

Now, new footage appears to show Pretti armed and spitting at ICE agents before he smashes the taillights of their black SUV during a wild confrontation roughly a week before his death.

Lawsuit Claims Cornell Used ‘Diversity Axis’ in Hiring

29th January 2026

Read it.

Cornell University is being accused in a federal civil rights lawsuit of excluding an evolutionary biologist from a tenured faculty position because he is white.

The America First Policy Institute filed the lawsuit Monday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York on behalf of Colin Wright.

The complaint alleges the university violated federal law when it sought to fill a faculty position in December 2020.

The complaint cites internal documents showing that Cornell allegedly reserved the position in its Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology for candidates who satisfied a “diversity axis” — a term used in faculty emails to classify applicants by race, sexual orientation, and disability status.

According to the lawsuit, Cornell never publicly posted the job opening, as required by its own policies, and kept the hiring process hidden from potentially qualified applicants.

“This was a racial litmus test administered in secret,” Leigh Ann O’Neill, AFPI’s chief legal officer, said Wednesday in a statement

The Campaign Against ICE Is All About Open Borders

29th January 2026

Read it.

Most of the recent vitriolic opposition to ICE is a feint by unrepentant open-borders progressives. They won the first round when Joe Biden was elected president, lost the second when Donald Trump returned to office, and are back for a rematch.

Democratic leaders portray ICE agents as violent Gestapo thugs and murderers. They claim ICE kidnaps good people off the street, rips apart their families and communities, and deprives them of due process. They give lip service to deporting the “worst of the worst,” but they lead sanctuary cities that release hardened criminal illegal aliens and incite protesters to harass and prevent ICE from arresting rapists, child predators, and killers.

For most, the venom has little to do with how ICE performs its mission and everything to do with preventing the Trump administration from undoing Biden’s brazen deluge of illegal migrants. But for the protests, ICE would be nearly invisible to most Americans, who abhor these violent confrontations. Instead, two Americans have tragically died in Minneapolis.

Democratic leaders deflect when challenged with the fact that disruption and mistakes would be greatly reduced if sanctuary cities turned over criminals already confined. Minnesota alone refuses to comply with 1,360 detainers for illegal aliens in its jails, including 500 previously ordered to be deported by federal judges.

A network of far-left nonprofits linked to Marxist financier Neville Roy Singham is leveraging Minnesota-based Black and Somali student organizations to mobilize child protesters in a planned “ICE Out of Everywhere” action on Friday, assessed as a coordinated general strike intended to inflict economic disruption amid widespread protests following multiple fatal shootings of protesters by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis.

“We support the call from Minnesota-based Black and Somali student organizations — on Friday, January 30, join the national day of action to say ICE OUT OF EVERYWHERE!” Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) wrote on X.

Videos Show Pretti Clash With Agents Days Before Killing

29th January 2026

Read it.

New footage has emerged showing Alex Pretti interacting with immigration authorities in Minneapolis more than a week before the 37-year-old ICU nurse was shot and killed by federal law enforcement.

A Jan. 13 video provided by The News Movement, a media outlet geared to Generation Z, shows a man who appears to be Pretti shouting at a federal officer before the officer walked back to his SUV.

As the vehicle began to drive away, Pretti kicked it twice, shattering the taillight on the second kick.

“Our footage was analyzed by the BBC, whose facial recognition technology confirmed his identity to a 97% degree of accuracy,” the video’s narrator said.

How the West Enables the Persecution of Egypt’s Copts

29th January 2026

Read it.

by Islam in the seventh century, it was a majority-Christian nation that was mostly inhabited by its indigenous people, the Copts.

Coptic Christians are deeply rooted in ancient Egyptian traditions through language, liturgical music, and ritual symbolism. They have preserved a cultural identity that long predates the Islamic conquest of Egypt.

Copts were some of the earliest followers of Christianity due to St. Mark bringing the Gospel to Egypt. Since then, Egypt has been home to many of the greatest Christian theologians, including Athanasius, Anthony (of the desert), and Cyril the Great.

As descendants of the ancient Egyptians, Copts have lived in their homeland for several millennia. They have survived persecution since the first Arab Muslim invasion in the seventh century as well as the subsequent invasions of the Mamluks and Ottoman Turks.

There are currently around 15,000,000 Copts in Egypt, making them both the largest Christian and the largest non-Muslim community in the Middle East and North Africa.

Egypt’s Copts are today amongst the most severely persecuted communities in the world. They live as second-class citizens in their ancestral homeland, marginalized both institutionally and socially.

They face abduction, forced disappearance, unlawful arrests, torture, rape, pressure to convert to Islam, mob attacks, and discrimination. But as Caroline Doss, president of the organization Coptic Solidarity, notes, in the face of these human rights violations, “the response of the Egyptian government is often slow, weak, or completely absent.” Violence against Coptic Christians is rarely punished. This increases their exposure to repeated attacks and extends impunity to their attackers.

I am told that it is commonplace for Coptic female children to have a cross tattooed on their hands in order to prevent them being abducted, forcibly ‘converted’ to Islam, and married off to middle-aged Muslim men.

Central Oregon Transit Boondoggle

29th January 2026

The Antiplanner.

The key to building a large bureaucracy is to concentrate the benefits of that bureaucracy on a few people who will lobby for more money while spreading the costs to so many people that no one has an incentive to lobby to cut the budget. In the case of transit, helpful reporters will always seek out the hard-luck cases of people who claim to depend on transit subsidies without ever looking for hard-working people who are having to pay for those subsidies.

British Intelligence Goes Full Guardian Promoting Untestable Computer-Generated Scares of Eco-System Collapse

29th January 2026

Read it.

Conspiracy nuts have had a field day over the delayed release of work compiled by the British Intelligence Services warning of possible eco-collapse, mass extinctions, food shortages, conflicts and mass migration. In fact, the flimsy 14-page report is little more than a cutting job from the Guardian. Twenty-six mostly usual suspect sources are named, and highlights of the most extreme scenarios are cherry-picked in yet another Net Zero Blob effort to create population panic. Who knows how much taxpayer money was wasted on this compilation – AI could have done the job in under a minute. The obvious reason for the delay in publication was that someone intelligent in the Intelligence Services said something along the lines: ‘We can’t publish this BS, we will look complete idiots.’

The claim is that the original report was blocked at the top of the British government for being too negative. This is obvious nonsense. No claim of eco-system collapse and devastating climate change would ever be considered too extreme by almost the entire British political class, at least if past evidence is anything to go on. It appears that the report was compiled by the Joint Intelligence Committee, which coordinates the work of MI5 and MI6. It only saw the light of day with publication by the Government’s environment department following a Freedom of Information request from the Times newspaper. Green author and activist Rupert Read was suitably affronted by what was seen as a cover up.
