My suspicion is that the authorities decided a long time ago to ixnay reporting by race during epidemics to avoid Stigmatizing the Marginalized. But now …
This would actually be useful information if gathered for the purpose of assessing whether the virus targets specific ethnic groups over others; there has been much speculation that Han Chinese are specially vulnerable.
That’s not it, of course; they want to know whether Fashionable Minorities are being ‘underserved’ with respect to medical treatment. Trust Democrats to take a useful idea and piss in it.

An Arlington, Virginia smoke shop owner defended a jailed employee who could face decades in prison for firing his weapon at a group of masked burglars, wounding one.
Hamzeh Abusharia, 33, was sleeping in a back room of Arlington Smoke Shop when he was awakened early Sunday morning by three masked juvenile suspects who had broken in to “steal cash and merchandise,” WJLA reported. Abusharia grabbed a gun and, according to police: “opened the door to the sales floor and discharged the weapon, striking one juvenile subject. The employee retreated to the back room but reentered the sales floor and discharged his weapon again as the subjects were attempting to flee the business.”
Abushariah reportedly faces charges of malicious wounding, violation of a protective order and reckless handling of a firearm.

The United States is in a very real crisis. Whether or not the disease is serious enough to warrant the economic loss our actions have precipitated, the loss is real. The deaths are real. The impact on our lives is real. We are in an extraordinary time, a backdrop against which the pettiness of small men should appear anachronistic and unworthy of the moment.
Yet our nation’s press can not help itself, and a people desperate for information are subjected instead to 24/7 gotcha “journalism” in the media’s relentless, obsessive, tortured pursuit of the great orange whale.

President Donald Trump has courted endless controversies for promoting nonconventional policies and entertaining contrarian views. From the outset, he oddly seemed to have believed that having navigated the jungles of the Manhattan real estate market—crooked politicians, mercurial unions, neighborhood social activists, the green lobby, leery banks, cutthroat rivals—better prepared him for the job than did a 30-year tenure in the U.S. Senate.
…
Yet since the outbreak of the virus, Trump’s idiosyncratic sixth sense has come in handy. The country is united in its furor at China—even if it is giving no credit to Trump for being years ahead of where it is now.

t predictably evoked immediate backlash from leaders across Europe and the West, given he’s already long been under scrutiny for allegedly weakening Hungary’s judicial and parliamentary systems in what critics have long complained is a bid for greater ‘authoritarian’ control. From the start, it should be remembered, he was loathed by EU technocrats for rejecting the so-called open door response to migrants and refugees in 2015.
Their basic objection is that he won’t buy into the ‘invade the world, invite the world’ outlook of the EU bureaucracy. (Kinda like Trump.)

Far from being killed off by the Wuhan virus, the woke virus is spreading faster than ever. Fran Drescher said on Twitter, “The heart of the problem, all problems with the world at its core is power & greed fueled by Capitalism.” On the contrary, I’m hoping greedy industrial companies can make a couple million ventilators for profit, because otherwise these things aren’t going to get made.
“Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can,” sang Gal Gadot and her Justice League of Idiots on that vomitatious “Imagine” video praising open borders, socialism and atheism in a country where people are praying to God because of a virus unleashed on the world by China’s socialist regime. I doubt Gal goes out for a meal without bringing along a very large man to keep fans at bay, so her personal borders likely begin at about a 3-foot radius around her. But while she sings to us from whatever $10 million palace she’s living in now, she should invite a hundred random citizens of Wuhan to move into her house, then continue to promote her “imagine there’s no countries” ideas.

ZMan sounds a warning.
We live in an age where the unthinkable, like the fog, quietly creeps up on us until suddenly the unthinkable is the new normal. Just as “shelter in place” is the new normal whenever it snows, mandatory lock downs will be the new normal whenever too many people get the sniffles. The unthinkable not only becomes thinkable, it becomes impossible to think otherwise. It also means that everything unthinkable today is suddenly on the table, maybe even the menu, for tomorrow.

One must actively resist the propaganda of political correctness or else you become complicit in it and compromised by it. This morning, I decided to turn the TV to MSNBC and watch Morning Joe, which offers an example, in the person of Joe Scarborough, of what happens to people who become part of such propaganda machines. There was a time — and it wasn’t really that long ago — when Morning Joe was not a Democratic Party propaganda operation, but the Obama years took their toll on Scarborough and he became just another operative. Something similar can be observed in the cases of Jennifer Rubin and Robert Costa at the Washington Post. There are some organizations with which no honest person would ever wish to be associated, and the Washington Post is such an organization. But I digress . . .

Who can forget Governor Andrew Cuomo’s presser weeks ago where he exclaimed that he would be putting New York state prisoners to work making hand sanitizer? The goal was to produce 100,000 gallons of it every week to be distributed, for free, to schools, government agencies and other needy institutions.
Well, that doesn’t appear to actually be what’s happening. Instead, prisoners are apparently taking hand sanitizer from elsewhere and just re-packaging it and re-branding it as “NYS Clean” sanitizer, according to a new expose from Vice.
There are lies, damned lies, and Democrat politicians.

In the long run, the extraordinary concentration of COVID-19 cases in New York threatens an economy and a social fabric that were already unraveling before the outbreak began. The city’s job growth rate has slowed and was slated to decline further, noted the New York City Independent Budget Office. Critically, New York’s performance in such high wage fields as business services, finance, and tech was weakening compared to other American metros. Half of all the city’s condos built since 2015 lie unsold as oligarchs, drug lords, celebrities, and others lose interest in luxury real estate now that cash, much of it from China, is drying up.
But it’s not just the ultrarich who are heading to the exits. Even before the virus hit, large urban centers like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago were losing population; over 90% of all population growth since 2010 had taken place in the suburbs or exurbs. Even millennials, as demonstrated in a Heartland Forward report, are moving away from the supposed “magnets” of New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, to the sprawling cities and towns in the middle of the country. Renowned demographer William H. Frey of the Brookings Institution indicates that the greatest net migration losses in recent years has occurred in New York. The growth in the migration of such prized workers is now two to three times faster in Salt Lake City, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Grand Rapids than in regions around New York, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C.

The New York Times is published by atheist perverts who hate America, and who have covered themselves in disgrace for decades. They forfeited whatever credibility they still had when they refused to return the Pulitzer they got for Walter Duranty’s Stalinist propaganda during the Soviet “show trial” era, and their irresponsible reporting about the Duke University rape hoax helped incite a campus firestorm that, among other things, radicalized Trump adviser Stephen Miller.

For the first time, researchers have traced back the maternal genetic lineage of anatomically modern humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) and found it most closely resembles people living in a small area of southern Africa.
And if you believe that one, they’ll tell you another one.
“It’s something that fascinates all humans. If we really want to understand our future we need to understand our past, who we are and where we all come from.”

After the shrieking tantrum Rep. Haley Stevens threw on the floor of the House of Representatives today, I would have thought that congressional Democrats — you know, the ones who wasted a week delaying passage of this emergency legislation — could not do worse. But of course, I had forgotten about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez….
…
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a bad person, and everyone who voted Democrat in 2018 is responsible for the influence this idiot has in Congress. That’s how political parties function, you see — every vote for any political party helps to empower the worst elements of that party. There are Republicans I find obnoxious, and deplore their influence in our public affairs, but when you compare the two parties, why does it seem the Democrats have a monopoly on dangerous idiots like the arm-waving, finger-pointing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?
