A Trigger-Happy Culture-Enriching Schoolboy in Aubagne

Aubagne is a town on the Côte d’Azur in southern France. On Monday a troubled 14-year-old boy came to school in Aubagne with a shotgun concealed in a guitar case. Once inside, he opened fire, wounding his principal and a teacher.
It took awhile before any news story mentioned the ethnicity of the alleged gunboy. However, it eventually emerged that he was of Ethiopian origin, and had carried a keffiyeh in his guitar case. There are as yet no reports that “Allahu Akhbar” was heard during the incident.
