Between co-host Sunny Hostin saying there were too many white people in Trump’s courtroom and George Stephanopoulos praising the Deep State, the Tuesday edition of ABC’s The View was already stacked with outrageous moments before Trump-hater and actor, Robert De Niro took the stage late in the show. The bitter aging actor went on an unhinged and profanity-filled tirade against the former President and asserted that he was “already” like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
The TDS is strong in this one.
If Trump were already Hitler or Mussolini, de Niro would already be in a camp.

The terms “fascist” and “fascism” are continuously bandied about today. But those who use these words most seem to understand them least, such that many of today’s self-styled anti-fascists paradoxically take on the central features of fascism to an extraordinary degree.
We can see contemporary fascist tendencies manifesting on both ends of the political spectrum — not only among white supremacists but also in the character types described by Eugene Rivers as “trust fund Becky with the good hair revolutionary communist” or “white boy Carl the anarchist from the Upper East Side who is a junior at Sarah Lawrence.”
Fascism is obviously worth opposing, but to be truly anti-fascist requires an understanding of how this ideology manifests in history and what the word actually designates. Already by the end of World War II, George Orwell noted that the term “fascist” was used so indiscriminately that it had become degraded to the level of a swearword synonymous with “bully.”
Eugene Meyer, whom I knew at Yale and who went on to help found the Federalist Society, was fond of saying that ‘fascist’ merely means ‘something I don’t like’, while ‘equitable’ merely means ‘something I like’.

At this week’s Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, while the financial elite discussed artificial intelligence and Elon Musk’s latest ventures, a crucial and fiery debate on diversity unfolded behind closed doors. About 40 attendees, including influential Wall Street figures and senior executives of color, engaged in a heated discussion with hedge fund manager Bill Ackman over his controversial stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
In a private, invitation-only panel, Ackman – who’s come under intense fire from the woke-industrial-complex, faced criticism for his public denunciation of DEI initiatives, which he has labeled as “inherently racist and illegal.” The dialogue, which lasted about an hour, saw attendees harangue Ackman’s over his views, accusing him of attacking women’s rights (as opposed to the trans movement?) and people of color in the U.S., Bloomberg reports. The panel included notable figures such as Jarvis V. Hollingsworth of the $200 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas, and Dina DiLorenzo of Guggenheim Investments – which manages over $300 billion, among others.

With an April 9, 2024, ruling against Switzerland for its failure to meet climate change targets, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has opened up a vast new market for the human rights law industry: potential climate change lawsuits against 46 member states of the Council of Europe. But by pulling climate-change activism deeper into the abstract and toothless realm of international human rights legislation, the ECHR ruling further removes it from domestic politics, where actual policy change can be effected. Moreover, it further confuses the meaning and efficacy of human rights legislation itself.
The case, Verein KlimaSeniorinnen Schweiz and Others v. Switzerland, was brought by a group of women, all over 64 years of age, who claim that their health is threatened by heat waves. Switzerland only reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 11% between 2013 and 2020, missing its 20% pledge. Swiss authorities argued that climate policies lie outside the scope of international human rights law. But according to an official document, the Court found that under Article 2, protecting the right to life, the European Convention on Human Rights “encompasses a right to effective protection by the State authorities from the serious adverse effects of climate change on lives, health, well-being and quality of life. … The Court found that the Swiss Confederation had failed to comply with its duties (“positive obligations”) under the Convention concerning climate change.”
Climate change’s putative threat to human rights has long been a prominent topic in international organizations, and is often a vehicle for demands for compensation from groups claiming to be victims of pollution from the developed world. Leading Swiss and other European media commentators praised the European Court ruling for “elevating climate protection to the status of a human right,” thus setting a precedent for other international courts. Not surprisingly, the decision has been applauded by activists as the first affirmation by an international court that “a climate crisis is a human rights crisis,” according to a lawyer for the Center for International Environmental Law.

Vermont is poised to pass a groundbreaking measure forcing major polluting companies to help pay for damages caused by the climate crisis, in a move being closely watched by other states including New York and California.
Modeled after the Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund program, which forces companies to pay for toxic waste cleanup, the climate superfund bill would charge major fossil fuel companies doing business within the state billions of dollars for their past emissions.

MSNBC legal analyst Danny Cevallos has once again proven himself to be an independent thinker, someone who calls them as he sees them and doesn’t dutifully toe the liberal media line.
In the past, we’ve noted Cevallos saying that Roe was ripe to be overturned, because there was no constitutional basis for it. More recently, he called a Hunter Biden plea deal not merely a sweetheart deal, but a “gift from Heaven.”
Cevallos was back at his iconoclastic truth-telling on today’s Morning Joe. He repeatedly called Stormy Daniels’ testimony in Donald Trump’s hush money trial a “major issue” available to the defense for the appeal of any possible conviction, which could lead to it being overturned. The notion was that her testimony was excessively prejudicial to Trump. Cevallos analogized the situation to the recent overturning of one of Harvey Weinstein’s convictions on the grounds that overly prejudicial testimony had been admitted.

Leah McGhee, the mother of a Central Davidson High School student, said her son’s English teacher assigned various vocabulary words in April, with one of them being “alien.” Her son had asked for clarification on the word, questioning whether it was referencing “space aliens or illegal aliens without green cards.” This prompted the school to suspend McGhee’s son for three days. McGhee has argued that the suspension caused her son to miss several important track meets, with the family choosing to remove their son from the school.
The lawsuit, filed by the Liberty Justice Center, came about a month later.
“We have asked the school to handle this privately for weeks,” McGhee said on Fox News’s Fox & Friends. “I’ve emailed the school board for four weeks. I’ve had no response from the school board. And since … we had no resolution, we had no other choice but to file a lawsuit and take this public.”

The knee-jerk anti-death penalty position of the woke elites is one of the more predictable aspects of their ideology. Just as predictable is the language they use to talk about it: “Racist, racist, racist.” Also “inhumane and torture,” but mostly “racist,” the coin of the realm in contemporary America.
The facts are otherwise, and voluminously so. There is no good evidence the death penalty is racist in application. Blacks are not disproportionately likely to receive the death penalty for no reason other than the anti-black biases of the system or its members. Blacks are disproportionately present on death row, but this certainly has to do with the fact that they commit a disproportionate number of murders.
Nevertheless, radical anti-death penalty activists seldom refrain from beating the tried-and-true old drum despite the evidence against them. Of late, though, they are taking up another tactic and arguing that racism is present not only in the processes that put blacks on death row but in the methods of execution themselves.

In my recently published book, Dissidently Speaking: Change the Words. Change the War: I use both logic and empiricism to prove (I do mean prove) that there is absolutely no such thing as “right wing-left wing” as we use the terms in this country. They are nothing more than non-defined terms used to characterize and label people with whom we don’t agree. I will go so far as to say that the terms are a socially acceptable form of hate speech.
When we say that “the left hates Donald Trump,” it isn’t just mistaken; it’s fallacious.
Since there is no such thing as “left-right,” as we use the terms, there is no possible way for the “left” to hate Trump.
But he is hated by many, and there are three reasons why.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of the county by the gun-control legal advocacy group Giffords Law Center, alleges the “Coast Runner” CNC machine, marketed by Coast Runner Industries, Inc., is simply a rebrand of the “Ghost Gunner” CNC machine previously developed and marketed by Defense Distributed and Ghost Gunner Inc.
Gun rights activist and technologist Cody Wilson has been working for years against gun control efforts by expanding access to the tools necessary to produce firearms at home. He has used his non-profit, Defense Distributed, as a platform to pioneer technological advancements in the manufacture of firearms using both 3D-printing and CNC technology.
Individuals are not prohibited under federal rules and regulations from producing firearms for their personal use, but gun control proponents in several states have sought to prevent the proliferation of unserialized privately-made firearms, which they’ve referred to as “ghost guns.”

New details have emerged in a congressional investigation into the Biden administration censorship enterprise that has curtailed free speech on a level unprecedented in American history.
A new House Judiciary Committee report uncovered more of the Biden administration’s collusion with Facebook, YouTube and Amazon to silence constitutionally protected speech. The administration in some cases threatened these companies, pushing them to censor content or change their moderation guidelines, specifically with regards to fighting “vaccine hesitancy” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“By the end of 2021, Facebook, YouTube, and Amazon changed their content moderation policies in ways that were directly responsive to criticism from the Biden Administration,” wrote the House Judiciary Committee and its Select Weaponization Committee in a May 1 press release. “While the Biden White House’s pressure campaign largely succeeded, its effects were devastating. By suppressing free speech and intentionally distorting public debate in the modern town square, ideas and policies were no longer fairly tested and debated on their merits.”

British MPs have raised concerns about the fact that the government is funding a disinformation ratings agency called the Global Disinformation Index (GDI), which compiles a “dynamic exclusion list”—or ‘blocklist’—of publications that publish perfectly lawful conservative and/or ‘gender critical’ content that it deems ‘harmful,’ and then gives that list to advertisers with the aim of persuading them not to advertise on those sites. Dexter Taylor, a software engineer and resident of Brooklyn, NY, took on gunsmithing as a hobby during the Covid-19 lockdowns. He was already familiar with machining and found himself fascinated by the project, so he set out to learn the skills needed. Taylor researched ATF rules regarding the building of firearms and wanted to follow them carefully. Sadly, however, the state of New York has its own laws which leftist governments believe supersede federal law and the Constitution.
Because Taylor was apparently not officially licensed as a gunsmith in NY, authorities decided to raid his home and arrest him for possession of gun parts (including 80% lowers) which are legal federally but require a smithing certificate in the state (a legal gray area which is being contested). Taylor was easy to find because he purchased all the parts with his own credit cards thinking he was protected under ATF rules.
ATF rules state that the building of guns for personal use including 80% lowers and related parts is legal as long as the person does not build those weapons to sell.

It seems progressives in Germany may have had too much beer before deciding on this recent law, because no sober-minded individual should’ve voted yes for this!
Earlier this month, the German Parliament, Bundestag, passed a policy that would enable parents to change the gender on their child’s birth certificate if the kid isn’t satisfied with their biological sex at birth, and enforce fines for any citizens who “deadname” or “misgender” other civilians. The Self-Determination Act (SBGG) is an extreme policy that caters to delusion and desire over fact and truth.
As Reduxx reported, parents can alter the sex on a child’s birth certificate once the child turns five, if there is “mutual consent” between the parent and said five-year-old.

As a general rule, rebels without a cause will eventually latch onto the nearest cause of opportunity. It really doesn’t matter what it is, for activists with ample time on their hands and plenty of trust fund money these protests fill the void and make them feel like they have meaning.
Such is the case with the political left and their infatuation with Gaza (or any movement rooted in Islam). It’s been noted by many commentators that the relationship between Islamic fundamentalists and the far-left is a bizarre one. After all, almost every element of Sharia Law is completely antithetical to the proclaimed values of progressives including equal rights for women, equal rights for gays and the leftist penchant for atheism. All of these beliefs might get a person executed in a host of Muslim governed countries, but for some reason the leftist mob wants in on the Islamic bandwagon.

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell closed out her Tuesday show by deciding to pick a fight with math. Reacting to Monday’s WNBA draft, Mitchell called “sexism” on the fact that number one overall pick Caitlin Clark will have a roughly $76,000 rookie salary while her male counterpart makes slightly north of $12 million.
Mitchell reported that “Caitlin Clark’s record-breaking streak continues with what could be the most watched WNBA Draft ever. Clark was the number one pick, of course, last night, scoring her place with the Indiana Fever. Clark stands to make millions from endorsements, but fans are outraged over the massive gender pay gap in her salary. Clark will reportedly earn, get this, $76,000 for her rookie season. Compare that to the $12 million, million dollars, last year’s number one NBA draft pick made in his rookie year.”
Missing from this monologue was any discussion of revenue. The NBA projected that during its 2021–22 season it would bring in over $10 billion in revenue. Meanwhile, last season, the WNBA’s projected revenue was around $200 million. As of 2018, the league was losing around $10 million a season. Still, Mitchell smeared Americans as sexist for not eliminating the gap overnight, “That gender inequality and the sexism facing women’s sports is a big focus on Saturday Night Live.”
To progressives, ‘revenue’ is only relevant when the government wants to spend some of your money. In their minds, the money that employees are paid just magically drops from heaven into the pockets of management, who are then responsible for distributing it in an ‘equitable’ fashion. But, as Margaret Thatcher famously observed. the trouble with such socialism is that eventually you run out of Other People’s Money.

Under the new legislation, anyone deemed to have been verbally ‘abusive’, in person or online, to a transgender person, including “insulting” them could be hit with a prison sentence of up to seven years.
That instantly led to a flood of bad faith reports, including from conservatives making a mockery of the system and from deranged left-wing activists trying to punish their ideological adversaries.

Father Matthieu Raffray, a Catholic priest of the traditionalist society Institut du Bon Pasteur, posted a video to social media last month encouraging Christians to fight against their sins, which he says are forms of “weakness.” Among the sins Raffray named was homosexuality. He preached, “We all have weaknesses: those who are greedy, those who are angry, those who have homosexual tendencies!”
The priest faced immediate backlash from LGBTQ activists and organizations, and French Minister for Gender Equality and Fight Against Discrimination Aurore Bergé called Raffray’s preaching “unbearable.”

A small group of demonstrators disrupted the Lincoln Park Apple Store in Chicago on Saturday to protest Apple’s use of labor in Africa and its disciplining of at least one employee wearing pro-Palestinian clothing items.
The political is personal.

If you’ve been watching television or tracking trending topics over the last few weeks, you’ve probably seen or read something about “white rural rage.” This is owed to the publication of a new book, White Rural Rage, by Tom Schaller and Paul Waldman, whose thesis is that white rural Americans, despite representing just 16 percent of the American electorate, are a “threat to the world’s oldest constitutional democracy.”
In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Schaller gave this unvarnished assessment of the rage he sees overflowing in the heartland. Rural whites, he said, are “the most racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-gay geo-demographic group in the country.” He called them, “the most conspiracist group,” “anti-democratic,” “white nationalist and white Christian nationalists.” On top of that, rural whites are also “most likely to excuse or justify violence as an acceptable alternative to peaceful public discourse.”
This premise has triggered a backlash towards rural voters from some on the left. Amanda Marcotte, writing for Salon, said she’s tired of handling rural voters “with kid gloves,” and time has come to pop the “racist, homophobic, sexist bubble” they all live in. Daily Beast columnist Michael Cohen agreed, writing that “these aren’t hurtful, elitist stereotypes by Acela Corridor denizens and bubble-dwelling liberals… they’re facts.” David Corn, the D.C. bureau chief at Mother Jones, piled on, agreeing that “white rural voters [are] the slice of the public that endangers the constitutional future of the republic.”
Amanda Marcotte is famous for her hatred of non-proglodyte America, as are the people who write for Daily Beast and Mother Jones.

Recently we covered the exposure of leftist activist run “consulting firms” that have been discreetly involved in the widespread wokification of the video games industry. These firms have been know to operate on a protection racket-like model: They threaten video game developers with the cancel-culture mob unless they hire said firm to “fix” their games for them. This fixing usually involves a host of DEI requirements, from forced diversity to the inclusion of LGBT related propaganda for the kiddies.
The reason these consulting outfits exist is singular – They do not care about games, gaming or gamers. In fact, they seem to hate game consumers with a passion. Their only purpose is to inject as much woke ideology as possible into an industry they know has immense influence on the next generation. Leftists see video games as a platform to manipulate the collective thinking of the future.
One agenda which has been incredibly important to them is their war on the “male gaze” and western beauty standards in general. The reasons for this are varied.
Wear a hijab and ‘male gaze’ will not trouble you. Problem solved. Ask me a hard one.

Power Line.
St. Louis Park, Minnesota, used to have very good public schools. I suppose it was a matter of demographics: the suburb was, at one time, referred to as “St. Jewish Park.” But those days are long gone. Today the St. Louis Park school district is in the hands of the same kinds of morons who generally run our public schools. Minnesotan David Strom has the story:
The Saint Louis Park School District, located in the suburbs of Minneapolis, is hiring an assistant superintendent to “examine the presence of Whiteness” in the district.
It’s a good gig, paying between $134,000 and $201,000.
I suspect that Celebrating Whiteness would be a best-selling book that nobody would dare to write. (Go to Amazon and search for ‘whiteness’ for a taste of what would happen.)
