Fox News host Laura Ingraham dismantled Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) on live television for co-sponsoring the DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act, a bipartisan bill critics slam as mass amnesty for illegal aliens.

Why Rent Control Fails: Lessons From New York To Portland

11th April 2026

Read it.

Housing costs in New York City have reached a level that many people can no longer afford. The response has been to push for more control—limits on rent increases and expanded tenant protections. The intention is clear. However, housing markets respond to incentives, not intentions.

Under Zohran Mamdani, New York City is moving further in that direction.

The focus is on limiting rent increases, expanding tenant protections, and increasing the role of government in the housing market.

The policy has not fully taken effect yet. Once these rules interact with rising costs, the housing market will respond to the incentives.

Rent control keeps rents down, but it does not keep costs down for the landlord.

There is no cap on insurance premiums. Property taxes can still rise year after year. Maintenance and labor costs continue to climb as well. As those costs rise, landlords are forced to adjust. Some delay maintenance. Others see their margins get too thin to justify the risk.

Economics 101: Leftists need not apply.

Muslim Man Who Pled Guilty to Election Fraud Now Running for Texas Mayor After Being Released on Bond

11th April 2026

Read it.

Zul Mirza Mohamed, according to the media, is a “Texas man” who was convicted of mail-in fraud in the 2020 election while he was running for mayor of the town of Carrolton.

If you don’t know, there are huge numbers of migrants being pumped into Denton, just north of Dallas, and the surrounding towns.

Mohamed pled guilty to the crime and was sentenced to four years in prison and 10 years probation in December 2024.

HOWEVER, Mohamed then filed for appeal one month later.

Instead of making him wait in jail, a judge allowed him out on bond. More than a year later, he’s still out on bond, living as free as a bird. All a man named “Mohamed” has to do to get out of jail is say the American Constitution protects him from the consequences of his own crimes, I guess.

This allowed him to register for the 2026 mayoral election

Dutch Officials Told Not to Say “Mother” or “Father”

9th April 2026

Read it.

’ Ministry of Education has wasted an incredible €40,000—not far off the average annual gross salary—of taxpayer cash on a language guide for civil servants, which advises them to call Father’s Day and Mother’s Day ‘You Day.’

This guide “against discrimination and racism” is, Dutch daily De Telegraaf reports, intended to ensure that officials “include families of all shapes and sizes” in their communications.

It has received sharp criticism, including from former MEP Rob Roos, who described the guide as “WOKE S**T,” and as “evidence that we can save a hell of a lot on civil servants.”

Even Education Secretary Judith Tielen, who belongs to the same liberal (VVD) party as new Prime Minister Rob Jetten, branded the guide “patronising.” She admitted that it was “not necessarily the best” tool—raising the question of who is actually in charge at the ministry.

Writer Marieke Hoogwout lamented that “when the government dictates which words must be used, those in power control the language.” This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given that the administration is also working to hand the police more powers to monitor citizens online, even when there are no concrete suspicions of criminal activity.

Author Klaas Wilting said the language guide showed that “the Hague has gone absolutely bonkers, and that bonkers nonsense costs money too.”

What kind of crazy characters came up with this. Before you know it, kids won’t be allowed to call their dad or mom dad/mom anymore.

The document also discourages the use of the words “white” and “Golden Age,” and proposes the capitalisation of “black,” especially when referring to “shared cultural identity.”

Is the End of the American Federation of Teachers in Sight?

9th April 2026

Read it.

A recent poll found that a clear majority of Americans favor limiting politics in the classroom. This is bad news for teachers’ unions, who often advocate against that very thing.

Consider the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). With 1.8 million members, the AFT is one of the largest teachers’ unions in the country. It has gained prominence less for advancing classroom outcomes and more for engaging in political activism far removed from instruction. This political activism has been evident recently, as illustrated by AFT president Randi Weingarten speaking at a “No Kings” protest in Minnesota and the organization’s increasing focus on anti-ICE efforts.

Taken together, these developments reveal a widening gap between teachers’ unions and both the public and the educators they claim to represent. Rather than focusing on classroom instruction and professional support, large unions have increasingly prioritized ideological activism, often at the expense of students, parents, and even their own members.

Teachers’ unions should focus solely on supporting educators, students, and their families. On paper, this may be what many teachers’ unions claim to do. The mission of the AFT, for example, is to “champion fairness; democracy; economic opportunity; and high-quality public education.” But there’s a difference between theory and practice. Realistically, the actions of larger teachers’ unions, such as the AFT, aren’t aligned with these objectives.

Adamantly pushing political agendas—such as LGBTQ+ practices or advocating for biological boys to be able to compete in girls’ sports—in schools across the country doesn’t give students a high-quality education. Instead, it takes time away from students learning how to read or write critically and authentically.

In addition, using member dues to lobby for left-wing causes or endorse political campaigns doesn’t benefit teachers. Staunchly opposing education choice such as education savings accounts ultimately hinders parents’ freedom to make the right decisions concerning their children’s education.

Unions also have a track record for keeping kids out of the classroom. Oftentimes, when school strikes are encouraged by the unions, students and families are the ones who pay the price.

Proposed California Bill Would Make Taxpayers Pay Legal Fees for Illegal Aliens

Wyoming Wind Farms Are Ecological Death Traps for Eagles

7th April 2026

Read it.

In my last Wyoming wind power article I noted a National Audubon Society warning that the growing masses of wind farms could be “population sinks” for golden eagles. This means that many eagles will be attracted to them, to then be killed by them.

Digging into the scientific literature I found that this is a well recognized wildlife management issue. It usually goes by the name “ecological trap.” Since being trapped means being killed I think ecological death trap is more appropriate.

In fact Wyoming wind power is a double death trap for golden eagles. First, as Audubon says, when the local eagles are killed this creates a sparsely populated area which other eagles will then come into. Eagles like most birds try to spread out, probably to maintain the local food supply for their hatchlings. These new eagles are then also killed and the cycle is repeated in a true death spiral.

In addition wind farms kill a lot of other birds as well as a huge number of bats. Golden eagles are scavengers so they are attracted by this abundant food supply. In fact being struck by cars while eating road kill is a major cause of golden eagle death.

Radical Tax Hikes Will Accelerate PA’s Outmigration

7th April 2026

Read it.

Gov. Josh Shapiro keeps repeating the claim that Pennsylvania is the only growing state in the Northeast. But that’s not true.

Residents continue to leave Pennsylvania for greener pastures. New data from the Internal Revenue Service shows that Pennsylvania lost 15,000 residents on net to other states in 2023. Those residents took with them $2.3 billion in annual income.

This outmigration spans all age groups, but it is especially pronounced among working-age professionals and higher-income earners. These are the very people who drive economic growth. And they are leaving for more-competitive states, such as Florida, Texas, and the Carolinas.

Fox Highlights Murders by Illegal Aliens in Sanctuary State of Virginia

Over the past few days, Fox News has continued to keep their viewers informed about the problem of illegal aliens committing violent crimes in the U.S. that MS NOW and CNN viewers don’t get to hear about.

Several shows not only recounted that, in the sanctuary county of Fairfax in Virginia, three out of four murders from this year were allegedly committed by illegals, but the far-left D.A., Steve Descano, recently sought only five year sentences for a pair of illegals who committed a murder in 2024.

Boston Put Social Workers on Duty With Police to Increase Safety (an Officer Was Just Stabbed After Taking Advice From One)

6th April 2026

Read it.

This program has been running since 2011, so it’s not some new George Floyd program thought up during the woke era. Boston was way ahead of the woke stuff.

And now an officer has been stabbed after taking advice from a social worker.

Here’s what happened. First, a mentally ill man called police because he thought four people with guns were trying to kill him. When police got there, they couldn’t find the four people, but they did speak with the alleged caller through his apartment door.

They would soon call in the social worker to calm the situation down, and it did not go well.

My instinctive reaction would be to pull out my gun and shoot the social worker. ‘Oh, gosh my finger slipped.’

Byt that’s me.

Obama’s Tower of Doom Is Harder to Get Into Than America Itself

6th April 2026

Read it.

In yet another jaw-dropping display of elite hypocrisy, Barack Obama’s Chicago Presidential Center – long derided as the “Tower of Doom” – now requires proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency just to enter a ticket giveaway for its grand opening ceremony on June 18, 2026.

While Democrats in Washington relentlessly push policies that treat America’s borders like an open invitation, the Obama Foundation has quietly imposed strict eligibility rules for its own high-profile event.

The sweepstakes for two free tickets, complete with a potential $1,500 travel stipend for winners living 100 miles or more away, is explicitly limited to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents who are legal residents of the 50 states, D.C., or Puerto Rico and at least 18 years old.

Let California Collapse—and Let the Rest of America Learn

4th April 2026

Armstrong Williams.

California has long prided itself on being a symbol of progressive governance, a supposed beacon of tolerance, opportunity, and inclusivity. But behind the glittering curtain of Hollywood dreams and Silicon Valley innovation lies a troubling reality—a self-inflicted crisis stemming from policies that defy economic logic and common sense. As California grapples with an unprecedented immigration surge, ballooning homelessness, and mass exodus of residents and businesses, the question arises: Should the federal government intervene?

The answer is unequivocally no. In fact, the federal government—particularly under President Donald Trump—should stand back and allow California to confront the consequences of its own ideological delusions.

Between July 2021 and July 2022, approximately 400,000 residents left California. The state, once a magnet for dreamers, is now hemorrhaging taxpayers and employers. Major corporations such as Tesla, Oracle, and Chevron have relocated to more business-friendly states like Texas and Florida. The exodus is not coincidental—it is a direct reaction to California’s punitive tax structure, suffocating regulations, and increasingly chaotic public order.

And yet, while residents and businesses flee, California continues to double down on the very policies driving its collapse. It remains a sanctuary state, offering sweeping protections and incentives to undocumented immigrants. It has issued more than a million driver’s licenses to those here illegally and expanded health care coverage to include undocumented adults. These moves, while morally framed by their proponents, come with significant and unsustainable costs.

Fiat justitia pereat California.

Liberal Council in UK Moves to Ban “Intimidating” National Flags

3rd April 2026

Read it.

In the latest salvo against British identity, a Liberal Democrat-run council has formally branded the simple act of flying the England flag an “act of intimidation and division” – and backed it up with a legal notice threatening residents with prosecution.

Oxfordshire County Council is pushing a county-wide crackdown by on the grassroots Raise the Colours campaign, which has been putting up Union Flags and St George’s Crosses in public spaces as a straightforward show of patriotism. The council’s message is clear: national symbols are now suspect.

The council issued the formal stop notice to the Raise the Colours group, warning that continued flag displays could lead to civil and even criminal proceedings. Council leader Liz Leffman charged that “The widespread installation of flags by Raise the Colours is not a sign of patriotism. It is an act of intimidation and division that is having a real and damaging impact on our communities.”

Justice Jackson’s Birthright Citizenship Comments Were a Total Disaster

2nd April 2026

Read it.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson turned Wednesday’s Supreme Court birthright citizenship oral arguments into another demonstration of her lack of qualifications for sitting on the high court.

The case centers on President Trump’s executive order challenging the automatic grant of citizenship to children born on U.S. soil to non-citizen parents. It was, on paper, one of the most consequential constitutional arguments in decades. For Jackson, it became a showcase of creative — if baffling — jurisprudence.

Speaking to ACLU attorney Cecillia Wang, Jackson offered an extremely bizarre take on allegiance to a nation.

“I was thinking, you know … I, a U.S. citizen, am visiting Japan. And what it means is that, you know, if I steal someone’s wallet in Japan, the Japanese authorities can arrest me and prosecute me. It’s allegiance, meaning, can they control you as a matter of law?” She continued: “I can also rely on them if my wallet is stolen, to, you know, under Japanese law, go and prosecute the person who has stolen it.” Then the kicker: “So there’s this relationship based on — even though I’m a temporary traveler, I’m just on vacation in Japan, I’m still locally owing allegiance in that sense. Is that the right way to think about it?”

What Jackson described isn’t allegiance in any constitutional, historical, or even pedestrian sense of the word. It’s basic jurisdictional law – the notion that when you’re in a foreign country, local law applies to you. That has nothing to do with the 14th Amendment’s “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clause, which turns on political allegiance and sovereign obligation, not tourism logistics.

Bleeding Heart

2nd April 2026

Sarah Hoyt.

Just listen to the left any day — and dear Lord, all day on Sunday. Don’t they have a life? — and you’ll find our positions come from the fact that we are, all of us, absolutely uncaring of what happens to whosoever the current “downtrodden” group that’s always “most affected” by whatever happens.

To wit, we don’t want government to pay for everyone’s health care. (I’m told women and children most affected.) We don’t want open borders and importing the poor and crazy of the sh*tholes of the world onto our land. We don’t think we should accommodate the “homeless” by letting them camp, sh*t and feraly attack people in public. Instead we’d like to see city regulations on vagrancy — from 1910 — sternly enforced, vigorous encouragement to get treatment for addiction, very vigorous mental health initiatives and let private charity pick up the rest. We think anyone stealing, murdering or raping should be punished to the heaviest extent of the law. Oh, yeah, and barring assistance on some very specific disasters, we don’t think we should be sending pallets of US taxpayer cash to “poorer” or “more needy” countries.

Therefore, we clearly don’t care about women, children, the elderly, immigrants, people of other colors (in my case not caring about people of other colors, depending on how you squint means not caring for white people,) the “unhoused”, we despise people suffering from “substance abuse”, we don’t understand the pressures society puts on criminals, and we want foreigners to die screaming.

I might be missing one or two groups we’re supposed to hate, in there. Oh, yeah, because we generally don’t want sex-f*ckery be it transitioning or indoctrination into all sorts of kink and fetishes done to people under the age of reason we’re also sexist, homophobic, transphobic, kinkophobic (I made that up) and repressive prudes.

Providence Mayor Demands Removal of Iryna Zarutska Mural; “Does Not Reflect Our Values”

1st April 2026

Read it.

Leftist politicians in Providence, Rhode Island, are erasing the memory of an innocent victim to shield their failed policies on crime and immigration.

The nearly completed mural honoring Iryna Zarutska—the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee brutally murdered on a North Carolina light rail train by a repeat offender—is being removed after pressure from Democrat leaders who called it divisive.

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson broke the story, posting: “Iryna Zarustka mural in Providence, RI, is being removed following protest of it by Mayor Brett Smiley.

The Politics of Erasing Iryna Zarutska

1st April 2026

Read it.

Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, was murdered in Charlotte last summer. She was minding her own business, seated on a public transit train, when a deranged felon abruptly attacked her from behind, without warning, allegedly stabbing her to death. The vicious assault was captured in surveillance footage that went viral and sparked outrage, especially after it was revealed that the suspect had been arrested on at least 14 previous occasions.

“Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes freed [the suspect ] in January, around seven months before police say he went on to slaughter Iryna Zarutska on August 22,” the Daily Mail reported in 2025. “Stokes allowed [the accused killer], who is homeless and has a litany of previous offenses, to walk free on a ‘written promise’ that he would return for his next court appearance.”

The case became a national flashpoint, exemplifying what critics call a broken criminal justice system in “progressive” jurisdictions, where criminals are coddled, and innocent people such as Zarutska are endangered. A project to honor Zarutska’s life through art has now been declared “controversial” by activists and politicians on the Left, as murals in her memory are getting defaced by vandals and denounced by elected officials. In New York City, one such mural was targeted by someone who spray-painted the words “please vandalize this” over the murder victim’s face. The New York Post describes the mural as “loathed by local lefties for its ‘tough-on-crime’ message.”

Liberal MP Labels X a “Massive Problem” for Allowing Brits to Criticize Mass Immigration

31st March 2026

Read it.

It’s certainly a problem for him and for people who think like  him.

A British Liberal Democrat MP has openly admitted what the political class really fears about Elon Musk’s X: it lets ordinary Britons speak freely about the disaster of mass immigration.

In a clip that exploded across the platform on Monday, Cheltenham MP Max Wilkinson described X as a “massive problem” precisely because it gives critics of unchecked migration a voice.

“It’s a really easy [way] to get some content out about how you think immigration is too high, or immigration is the big thing that’s tearing the country apart… X is now making sure that you can have your voice heard in a really easy way that you couldn’t in the past,” he complained.

This is not some fringe rant. Wilkinson, the Lib Dems’ Home Office spokesperson, simply said the quiet part out loud. While the establishment lectures the public about “tolerance” and “diversity,” it seethes at the idea that native Brits can now push back online without gatekeepers filtering their concerns.

The backlash was instant and brutal. Toby Young of the Free Speech Union fired back: “Labour MP Max Wilkinson says the quiet part out loud: He doesn’t like X because it enables people who think immigration is too high to have their voices heard.”

Telegraph journalist Allison Pearson was even sharper: “God forbid people should be able to say on X that immigration is far too high. Or that it is causing problems for our way of life. Lib Dem MP Max Wilkinson thinks those opinions should be silenced. How dare he!”

This admission lands at the perfect moment to expose the broader pattern of suppressio

The Assisted Suicide Oof Lofty State and Local Taxes

31st March 2026

Read it.

We get the government we choose to elect, hence the government we deserve. Voting for ever-higher punitive taxes on the rich is arguably a form of civic suicide. Consider that a wealthy New Yorker can get a raise of almost 40% just by moving.

That’s right. If moving eliminates a 14.8% top state and local tax rate, our top-tier taxpayer gets a 36% raise, not a 14.8% raise, by leaving. It’s doubtful if any of our city and state leaders have done this math, but it’s shocking.

Mamdani wants to take the top rate up another 2%, if not by the state then by the city, which would mean that our rich neighbor can get a 42% raise.

Wall Street Titan Flees New York as Firms Ditch Blue States For the South

31st March 2026

Daily Mail (UK).

A Wall Street titan is weighing an exodus from New York as fears grow over rising taxes under the city’s new left-wing mayor.

Apollo Global Management, one of the biggest private capital firms in the world, is planning a second US headquarters in the South – with most future hiring set to happen outside Manhattan.

The $900 billion firm is considering cities in a variety of Sunbelt states – including Austin, Nashville, or somewhere in South Florida.

The move puts Apollo among a growing list of finance heavyweights drifting away from New York, long seen as the global capital of money.

Florida has already attracted major players such as Citadel and Elliott Management, while Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are establishing a strong presence in Texas.

Partners and managing directors were recently surveyed on what their location preference would be, according to people familiar with the situation.

The company announced plans to relocate just as New York City’s mayor Zohran Mamdani pushed to hike up taxes on major corporations.

‘We’ve shared with our teams across Apollo and Athene that we plan to establish a second headquarters in either Texas or south Florida, alongside NYC,’ Apollo told the Financial Times.

Springtime for RINOs

30th March 2026

Read it.

Went to the No Kings assemblies in my town and the next nearby town on Saturday. Mental illness as far as the eye could see. Old folks, too, as far as the eye could see, predominately of the female persuasion: the devouring grandmothers. The Democratic Party has marshalled mental illness as its premier campaign strategy, and lately it is winning bigly around the country as mental illness becomes the go-to cope option for the ragged remnants of Boomerdom.

They believe things that are patently insane, for instance, the latest proposal by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) that illegal immigrants deserve reparations on account of being “traumatized” by U.S. immigration enforcement actions.

If it feels like the Democratic Party is at war with our country you are not hallucinating.

It is every bit as much a jihad as the Death to America crowd in Iran has explicitly pushed since 1979.

‘No Kings’ Protestor: Black People ‘Don’t Need to Participate’

30th March 2026

“I confronted a No Kings protestor on the lack of diversity at the protest, she told me she’s here because black people can’t be,” Podcaster Nate Friedman explains, introducing video of an interview he conducted at Saturday’s “No King’s Day” protest in New York.

“It seems like there’s a lack of diversity here today, that it’s mostly people like you and I,” Friedman tells a White female protestor at the event, prompting her to claim that Black people – and only Black people – would be arrested at the rally:

“It is not safe for them and they don’t need to participate,” the White protestor added, claiming that “We need to walk in their name.”

It’s also a racist scheme to require voters to show identification, the woman, who says she “voted Democrat in the womb, claimed.

Living Under the Feminist Gaze

30th March 2026

The American Mind.

Every couple of years, another hit piece surfaces to explain why the Right supposedly hates women and why women on the Right hate themselves. The Left has trafficked in condescending explanations for the alleged paradox of the right-wing female for quite a long time. The latest in this tired genre, “The Young Women Leaving the New Right” in New York Magazine, is more of the same, dressed up for the digital age.

We are supposed to believe that conservative women are “Pick Mes,” seeking to gain male validation by belittling other women. They are afraid of their right-wing husbands, are too dumb to form their own opinions about politics, have “internalized misogyny,” lack dignity, and so on.

Not even the element of poaching a few disgruntled former conservatives and mining them for embarrassing tidbits is a remotely new tactic. There have always been some willing to take the liberal media up on the chance to open their kimono in exchange for the opportunity to fire a shot at their intra-right nemeses.

However, the sources interviewed by the “journalist” Sam Adler-Bell, who also co-hosts a podcast dissecting the Right in much the same way as visitors view monkeys in a zoo, don’t bolster his case. Much of the “evidence” on the charge of misogyny is a series of anonymously told personal stories that amount to one-sided gossip, with the true nature of the described interactions impossible to discern.

Why the Poor Vote for the Right (and Stop Demanding More Equality)

29th March 2026

Read it.

This is such a pure example of proglodyte self-absorption that I couldn’t resist.

There is a paradox running through politics today. Inequality is growing, but the demand for redistribution is decreasing.

Note the assumption that ‘inequality’ necessarily leads to ‘demand for redistribution’, as if everyone were as consumed by envy as the typical Leftist.

The working classes, historically leaning to the left, are increasingly voting for the right.

Perhaps because they’ve woken up to the fact that the Left wants to make them slaves of the government (run by the Left).

And election campaigns are won with symbolic battles over religion, immigration and “traditional values” rather than wages and welfare.

One of the delusions Marx left his spiritual children is the mistaken notion that politics is downstream from economics, when actually it’s the other way around. If the culture gets religion, immigration, and traditional values right, wages will get right by themseles, and there won’t be any need for ‘welfare’.

A new study (“Presidential lecture: identity politics”) by Nicola Gennaioli and Guido Tabellini of Bocconi University, forthcoming in Econometrica, offers a powerful and disorienting explanation: we are no longer divided into classes, but into cultural identities. And it is on these that the game of democracy is played.

That’s because ‘classes’ imply stratification within a single culture (‘nation’), and the Left has been devoted over the last half century to decomposing existing cultures (such as the U.S.) into identitarian tribes that no longer share a culture and therefore don’t constitute a ‘nation’ in any significant sense.

The heart of the model is simple and radical: people choose the identity they feel is most relevant to the social conflicts of the moment. When economics dominates the agenda, people split by class. But when culture becomes more salient—for example, because of immigration or ethical issues—people position themselves into opposing cultural groups.

Again, this is what the Left has been trying (with a lot of success) to do since the 1960s. Economics only matters within a particular culture, as the Left found out during World War I—the working class of Germany, Russia, France, Italy, and Britain were perfectly happy to go to war against workers from another nation (culture), and the Left just refuses to believe it.

Read the whole thing, and marvel at such cluelessness.

Diversity Is Not Our Strength

28th March 2026

Read it.

That “diversity is our strength” is one of those obvious contradictions that people with common sense instantly recognize as hooey. It is poisonous hooey, mind you. As the British historian Arnold Toynbee said, “Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder.”

But the people selling diversity know that.

They champion diversity not because it is a societal bonding agent but because it is the opposite. A culture made up of discordant groups with little in common—neither religion, habits, nor, especially, language—is no culture. Without these sinews tying it together, a body cannot rouse itself and undertake common endeavors.

A nation of groups is thus an oxymoron. In the best of times, it will be a festering federation. In the worst, it will dissolve into warring tribes.

People used to get this. It was part of our popular understanding.

Toward the end of the 1952 Hollywood classic “Ivanhoe,” King Richard the Lionheart asks those assembled before him to kneel as Saxons, Normans, Danes, and Jews and then commands them to rise as “Englishmen.” Nobody had to explain why.

Today, we have set up a system in which we seemingly ask Americans to kneel and then rise as members of groups.

The Assisted Suicide of Lofty State and Local Taxes

28th March 2026

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani wants to take the top rate up another 2%, if not by the state then by the city, which would mean that our rich neighbor can get a 42% raise.

Here’s how the math works. A rich New Yorker pays a maximum state and city income tax of 14.8%, on top of a maximum federal tax of 37%. But there are hidden taxes. Uncapped Medicare and Medicaid taxes push the marginal federal tax to 39.4%. If the income is earned on investments, the Net Investment Income Tax (NIIT, another gift from Obamacare) adds another 3.8%, pushing the top federal tax above 43%.

So, top-tier New York taxpayers may soon pay a marginal tax of 43% to the IRS and 17% to the city and state of New York. The combined 60% marginal tax rates mean they have the privilege of keeping 40 cents of each new dollar they earn. A move to one of the nine states with no income tax allows our taxpayer to keep 57% of every additional dollar of income, instead of 40%. Do the math. That’s a 42% raise.

Forget the argument about “paying their fair share.” “Fair” is an entirely subjective term. Your fair share of someone else’s money might be seen as a ripoff by them, especially if the money is spent less wisely than we might spend our own money. If you are rich and believe you’ve earned your money, will you consider leaving a state for a permanent 40% raise? Of course.

Woke Star Trek Series Canceled After Embarrassing Critical Failure

27th March 2026

Read it.

All the propaganda and social media manipulation in the world is not enough to compel average people to spend their precious time or cash on woke entertainment. All anti-woke critics had to do was watch and wait as the dismal numbers rolled in for each new progressive project – It was objective, undeniable proof that woke is a gigantic fraud.

That said, there are still a handful of far-left media bombs rolling into theaters and streaming services because production giants refused to see the writing on the wall until the end of 2024. Media endeavors that were greenlit at this time are just now being released to the public and the results are embarrassing. Watching these movies and shows feels like time traveling back to 2018.

As we covered in January, one such streaming series is Paramount’s new foray into the Star Trek franchise called “Starfleet Academy”. The show definitely doesn’t “boldly go where no man has gone before”. Rather, it goes where every other far-left vehicle has gone before, into the proverbial dumpster. We noted that “audiences are not watching or buying, but Hollywood refuses to learn”.

Well, it looks like they just learned.

Philly Protesters Cheer Dead US Troops in Video

27th March 2026

Read it.

Video from a protest outside Philadelphia City Hall shows a masked speaker making inflammatory remarks about U.S. service members and calling for violence, according to footage recorded by local conservative activist Frankie Scales.

In the video, the speaker says, “For every U.S. soldier that returns home in a casket, we cheer.”

“Until we have done everything in our power to bring the United States to its knees, let us not lose sight of the enemy,” he says, as people in the crowd can be heard cheering.

The individual refers to Hamas and Hezbollah as “resistance forces” and “popular forces,” and argues that Iran’s regime should remain in power because of its support for those groups.

“They rely on a strong Iranian state to maintain their fighting capacity,” the man says.

The comments come as tensions involving Iran and its network of allied groups — including Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and other militias across the Middle East — remain elevated amid ongoing regional conflict.

When confronted by Scales, the speaker responds, “May a Hamas rocket blow up your family’s home.”

Measuring Poverty Correctly Reveals a Hard Truth About the Welfare State

27th March 2026

Read it.

America has spent more than $20 trillion on fighting poverty since the introduction of President Johnson’s Great Society program in 1964. Sixty years later, how are we doing?

Doesn’t seem to have reduced the number of poor people, for a start.

Last month, Senator Kennedy (R-LA) introduced a bill that would require the Census Bureau to report a new poverty metric as an alternative to the Official Poverty Measure (OPM) by including both cash and non-cash welfare benefits in its calculations.

As Kennedy points out, this is a much-needed fix. The OPM’s methodological weaknesses are well documented. Most notably, it ignores the hundreds of billions of dollars the government spends each year to assist low-income families through tax credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit and in-kind transfers such as Medicaid, food stamps, and housing subsidies.

In short, the OPM paints an egregiously inaccurate picture of material poverty in America.

26th March 2026

New York Post.

The 83-year-old US Air Force veteran who was randomly shoved onto the subway tracks by an illegal migrant on the Upper East Side has died from his injuries — and his alleged killer has been charged with murder.

Grandfather Richard Williams succumbed to his injuries March 17 after he was allegedly pushed onto the tracks with another man while waiting for a train at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Station just before noon March 8, authorities and sources said.

His alleged attacker, Honduran national Bairon Hernandez, 34, was arrested March 10 at a homeless shelter — and his charges have been upgraded to second-degree murder following Williams’ death, court records show.

Indians Pour Milk Into Texas Waterway, Leave Trash Scattered Everywhere for Hindu Ritual

26th March 2026

Read it.

Remember the good old days when the only religious ceremony you’d expect to see in Texas would be a baptism?

But this is Denton, Texas, in 2026.

Denton, just north of Dallas, has many nearby waterways, including the Elm Fork Trinity River, Lewisville Lake, Lake Ray Roberts, Denton Creek, Grapevine Lake, and Buck Creek.

Indians have been criticized across America and Canada for polluting, pooping, and washing in local waterways like these.

Be careful not to step in the diversity. It’s hell getting that stuff off of your shoes.

BBC, a Voice of the Crust.

Points that the UN will neither mention nor consider:

  1. All African slaves were enslaved by Africans. The surplus were sold to Europeans, a lucrative source of revenue.
  2. Muslims processed more African slaves than Europeans.
  3. Slavery was a universal component of human society until Christians decided to stop it in the 18th century.

NAACP’s Latest Hire Reveals the Left’s Plan to Keep Weaponizing Civil Rights Law Against Conservatives

25th March 2026

Read it.

After a years-long legal battle, the Supreme Court vindicated a Colorado Christian baker hounded by a “Civil Rights Commission” for the sin of refusing to craft a custom cake to celebrate a same-sex wedding. A woman by the name of Kristen Clarke found that ruling “devastating.”

Clarke, who would go on to lead the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division under President Joe Biden, arguably grew to embody the weaponization of civil rights law against conservatives. Yet on Wednesday, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People hailed Clarke as a “civil rights giant” in announcing her new position as NAACP general counsel.

NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson said Clarke’s “record of fearless advocacy, leadership, and deep commitment to justice makes her the ideal general counsel to help chart our path forward.”

What, exactly, would shake the NAACP’s faith in Clarke’s “commitment to justice”? Would the NAACP reconsider if, hypothetically, Clarke had weaponized civil rights law against pro-life protesters, or worked closely with an anti-Christian smear factory, or twisted civil rights law to enforce transgender orthodoxy? Would this storied civil rights institution reconsider hiring her if, let’s say, she sliced open her husband’s hand in 2006 and then lied to cover it up in her Senate confirmation hearings?

‘Precisely the Problem’: Immigration Advocates Want Asylum Hearings Scheduled ‘Years’ Ahead

25th March 2026

Read it.

In a lawsuit against the Trump administration, immigration advocates insist that an asylum case should take “years” to conclude and want “at least a year” to prepare while applicants remain in the United States.

The lawyers claim that the administration is unfairly singling out their clients, Somali asylum-seekers, in a “Somali Fast-Track Policy,” giving them a compressed timeline of just four months or less to prepare for hearings—a timeline they argue is “essentially impossible.”

Meanwhile, immigration enforcement advocates argue that extending the process enables abuses by asylum-seekers.

Washington State’s Race-Based Housing Finance Program Faces Federal Probe

25th March 2026

Read it.

The Trump administration’s housing department launched an investigation into the Washington State Housing Finance Commission for allegedly violating the Fair Housing Act via its race-based housing finance program, according to a March 24 press release.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) notified the commission of the investigation into the state’s Covenant Homeownership Program.

Launched in 2024, the program offers down payment and closing cost assistance to homeowners, which, according to its website, seeks to rectify “state-sanctioned racial discrimination in housing.” Applicants for the program must have a household income at or below 120 percent of the area median income, and be a first-time homebuyer who had family living in the state before April 1968. Also, those relatives must have been black, Hispanic, Native American/Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, Korean, or Asian Indian.

Persons of European, Japanese, Arab, or Jewish ancestry do not appear to qualify, said the HUD statement.

Trump Derangement Syndrome and the Urban Elite

25th March 2026

Read it.

Liberal academic @Musa_alGharbi’s observations when he moved to Manhattan:

“One of the first things that stood out to me is that there’s a racialized caste system here that everyone takes for granted. You have disposable servants who will clean your house, watch your kids, walk your dogs, deliver food to you… mostly minorities and immigrants and disproportionately women… And this is basically taken for granted in New York, that this is the way society operates. And yet… this is not how things are in many other parts of the country. Most other places, the person buying a pair of shoes and the person selling them are likely to be the same race — white — and the gaps between the buyer and the seller are likely to be much smaller. Even the most sexist or bigoted rich white person in many other contexts wouldn’t be able to exploit women and minorities the same way as the typical liberal professional in a city like Seattle or New York; the infrastructure simply isn’t there. It’s these progressive bastions associated with the knowledge economy that have these well-oiled machines for casually exploiting the vulnerable, desperate and disadvantaged. And it’s largely Democratic-voting professionals who take advantage of them.

A few months after I arrived at Columbia, Trump won. I expected this to happen, but for most people, that was not the expectation. So here at Columbia, the day after Trump won, a lot of the students claimed to be so traumatized that they couldn’t do tests or homework. They needed time off. Now there are two things striking about that to me. First, these are students at an Ivy League school, overwhelmingly people from wealthy backgrounds — and even if they don’t come from wealth, they’re likely to be well-positioned… [but these] students seemed to view themselves as somehow uniquely vulnerable to Trump and his regime, as being especially threatened or victimized. And so they demanded all of these accommodations for themselves. Meanwhile, there was this whole other constellation of people [mostly minorities and immigrants] around them who seemed to be literally invisible to them. The people doing all the work on the campus… these ignored laborers — the people with the most at stake in this election — [were not] saying they needed time off because they were too traumatized. They showed up to work the next day and did their jobs. They weren’t making a scene, sobbing as they scrubbed rich kids’ mess out of the toilets. The juxtaposition was sobering…

When I left campus, walking around the Upper West Side, or other affluent parts of Manhattan, similar scenes were playing out. Nor was New York City unique in this regard. Other knowledge economy hubs had similar scenes playing out. And the same drama that was playing out in Columbia was unfolding at colleges and universities across the country. This is precisely what I found so troubling, so difficult to shake off: It wasn’t about my own school. It was about this broader disjuncture between knowledge-economy elites, their narratives about the world, and the realities on the ground.”

Champagne Socialists Descend on Cuba to Virtue Signal Solidarity With Tyrants

25th March 2026

Read it.

The sputtering Castro-ist regime in Cuba has managed to stick to its communist roots. It’s doing this by ensuring that while everyone is “equal,” foreign stooges and social influencers willing to spread propaganda for the regime are treated more equally than others.

That’s a time-honored, socialist tradition.

Over the weekend a junket of various activists and assorted clowns traveled to Cuba and partied it up while the locals starved and lingered in darkness.

“Hundreds of tone-deaf lefty radicals flocked into Havana this weekend to meet with Communist Party officials—staying in luxury hotels and traveling in air-conditioned buses—as the rest of the island grapples with a worsening economic crisis that’s starved it of electricity, food, water and medicine,” the New York Post reported Friday.

They were part of the so-called Nuestra America Convoy that went to Cuba, according to the Post, “under the guise of handing out 20 tons of humanitarian aid to protest the United States oil blockade on Cuba.”

What’s So Great About Diversity?

25th March 2026

Read it.

‘Diversity is our strength.’ One hears this, or myriad variants of the same idea, unrelentingly. Certainly I work in an Australian university where the extent of higher-ups pushing this notion does indeed qualify as unrelenting, even matching totalitarian state levels of propaganda. But even outside the hallowed halls of impartial, politically balanced academia (did I write that with a straight face?) the mantra or cliché that diversity somehow delivers a stronger balance sheet or a more cohesive society or just better outcomes is pervasive in today’s democracies that have committed themselves to multiculturalism and to the various neo-Marxist versions of feminism. Sure, those spouting these ‘diversity is a panacea’ nostrums never cash out the claim. They never tell us precisely how ‘diversity’ is making society better or wealthier or more unified. We are all just supposed to take it on faith, as it were.

We’re just to believe the bureaucratic, political and various professional bodies’ elites who push this line, and believe it simply because they are the ones telling us it’s so.

Bud Light & Budweiser Continue to Struggle as Dylan Mulvaney Ad Disaster Nears Three-Year Mark

Ahead of next week’s three-year anniversary of Anheuser-Busch’s most epic marketing ad blunder ever, the Bud Light backlash remains intact and should serve as a case study for generations in how far-left wokeism in corporate America can destroy decades of brand-building overnight.

What began as a viral TikTok promotion featuring Dylan Mulvaney, a man pretending to be a woman, has since become one of the clearest examples of self-inflicted brand suicide in recent consumer history. The latest beer trends from Goldman suggest the brand has yet to fully recover nearly three years later.

Paul Ehrlich’s Failed Doomsday Predictions Expose the Media’s Climate Alarmism Double Standard

24th March 2026

Read it.

When Stanford biologist Paul Ehrlich appeared on “60 Minutes” in 2023, he warned that humanity was on an unsustainable path and that “the next few decades will be the end of the kind of civilization we’re used to.” He explicitly linked overpopulation and consumption to climate disruption, claiming it was already killing people.

Ehrlich recently died at 93, and the media offered respectful tributes to his 1968 bestseller “The Population Bomb,” yet almost no outlet asked the glaring question: why should anyone trust predictions from a man whose most famous forecasts were spectacularly wrong? In fact, all of his doom predictions were wrong—similar to the climate doom predictions of today.

Ehrlich predicted mass starvation would kill hundreds of millions in the 1970s and 1980s, that England would cease to exist by 2000, and that the U.S. would face widespread famine. None of that happened. Instead, the population doubled to 8 billion.

Prosperity soared. The Green Revolution—powered by better seeds, fossil-fuel-derived fertilizers, and fossil-fuel-enabled agriculture—fed billions more people than Ehrlich believed possible.

This same pattern of failed apocalyptic forecasts now dominates mainstream climate information. For decades, prominent voices have warned of entire nations underwater, no snow in the U.K., mass extinctions by 2010, and permanent global famine with timelines that have quietly slipped while humanity has thrived.

Why Is Lindy West Getting Cancelled?

24th March 2026

The Other McCain.

Most people — even people who follow politics closely — never figured out that the Great Feminist Boom of 2014-2017 was not a coincidence. All the institutions of academia and media did not suddenly decide to the embrace and promote #feminist brand by accident. No, that cultural moment was organized to support the Right Side of History™ crusade to make Hillary Clinton America’s First Female President.

Having examined the reasons for the failure of her 2008 presidential bid, Team Hillary recognized that being identified as a feminist was a net negative for her and, in war-gaming her 2016 campaign — a process that began as soon was Obama got reelected in 2012 — they saw the importance of creating an “Astroturf” project to make it seem as if feminism was a mainstream grassroots movement. Young women who were targeted by this effort were generally too naïve to comprehend the cynical partisan calculatIons behind it, and sincerely believed that they were part of a spontaneous emergence of feminist consciousness, a belief that was much more flattering to their egos than to recognize they were pawns of a multimillion-dollar P.R. operation in service to the selfish political ambitions of one very wealthy and powerful woman.

All of which is to say that only a fool would have thought it was a coincidence when, in September 2015, Guardian columnist Lindy West “encouraged other women to share positive abortion experiences online using the hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion in order to ‘denounce the stigma surrounding abortion.’” Nor was any intelligent person surprised when, a few months later in May 2016, Lindy West published Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman, which was universally praised in the liberal media and immediately became a bestseller. The TV rights to Shrill were then bought by Hulu, which turned it into a 22-episode series.
