President Trump has told Sir Keir Starmer he must cut taxes and stop small boat crossings if he is to defeat Nigel Farage and win the next election.
The US president said “politics is pretty simple” as he offered Starmer some unsolicited advice during an hour-long press conference at his Turnberry golf course in Scotland on Monday.
He told Starmer that to defeat Farage, he needs to prove he is the “toughest” on immigration and is a “tax cutter”. Trump described those who cross the English Channel on small boats as “bad people”.
Keep the good people, reject the bad people. Obvious common sense advice that Starmer can’t do because it would basically reverse everything Labour had tried to do since 1956.
“How can I get the people to vote for he and the economy to prosper?”
“Stop being a socialist.”
“But I am a socialist.”
“And that’s your problem.”

After years of pumping out propaganda and trying to kill independent media outlets such as yours truly, liberal ‘watchdog’ Media Matters is reportedly on the verge of bankruptcy.
Founded by Democratic operative David Brock (formerly in a long-term relationship with DC restauranteer James Alefantis), the Soros-backed pit bull that made a name for itself smearing conservatives and colluding with corporate censors, is reportedly on the brink of collapse as it buckles under legal bills, government investigations, internal drama, and a mass donor retreat, the NY Times reports.

Less than 400 additional electric vehicle (EV) public charging ports have been installed in the United States following billions of dollars of allocated funding under the Biden administration for building charging infrastructure, said a July 22 report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO).
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021, signed into law by then-President Joe Biden, appropriated $7.5 billion in funding for two programs—the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) and the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI). The funds were aimed at supporting the development of public EV charging infrastructure.
However, only 384 charging ports had been built nationwide under the NEVI and CFI programs as of April 2025, the report said.

over the last year, recent developments suggest the current crisis may actually be rooted in the Biden administration (big surprise, we know…)
That’s because under Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, systemic issues with outdated infrastructure, controller shortages, and mounting flight delays worsened—even as the Department of Transportation (DOT) diverted massive resources toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, according to a new report by the NY Post.
During his tenure, Buttigieg allegedly showed little interest in modernizing ATC systems. “He was definitely pushing an agenda,” said one industry official. “Little to no interest” was given to fixing the aging infrastructure, and “definitely zero action” was taken, they added.
In a meeting with airline executives, Buttigieg reportedly dismissed the need for upgrades, saying improvements would simply let them “fly more planes, and so why would that be in his interest?”

More than 230,000 unaccompanied minors were released from immigration custody into the U.S. during the Biden administration and subsequently became unaccounted for, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari testified in front of the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday. He said 31,000 children were sent to invalid home addresses in the U.S. and that sponsors were not properly vetted before the unaccompanied children were released to them.
The Oversight panel was called to review the findings of a March 2025 report by DHS that found that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is unable to track the status of all unaccompanied minors currently in the U.S. The report’s findings “reveal significant gaps” in ICE’s management of these children, Cuffari testified.

The appearance of a European Parliament staff member wearing a keffiyeh—the traditional Palestinian scarf—during a meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has triggered a heated debate within the chamber. Members of the European People’s Party (EPP) criticised the gesture, considering the attire an ideological display inappropriate for an institutional employee.
The incident occurred during a parliamentary committee meeting held last week. Apparently, the staffer was asked to leave the room following protests by Spanish MEP Antonio López-Istúriz White, who stated, “Civil servants are not here to promote ideology,” supported by Bulgarian EPP MEP Andrey Kovatchev. A Parliament spokesman later explained that the meeting was briefly interrupted while “precautionary measures” were taken to allow it to continue without disruption.
The reaction from progressive MEPs was swift—and unsurprising. Several of them and their assistants attended parliamentary sessions the following days wearing the keffiyeh in solidarity. “I don’t see the issue. That person was dressed completely normally,” said Belgian MEP Marc Botenga from The Left group, who also pointed out that no one had raised objections when Ukrainian symbols were previously displayed in the same context.
Virtue-signaling is the opiate of the attention-whore.

“I never thought I’d vote Republican,” one Virginia mother told her local school board. “But then my daughter came home with a new name, new pronouns—and no permission slip.”
That story isn’t rare anymore. It’s part of a growing national pattern. And it’s fueling one of the most significant political realignments of our time.
Across the country, classical liberals, independents, and disaffected Democrats are rediscovering liberty—not as a talking point, but as a lifeline. Not out of partisanship, but out of necessity. They’re standing up for parental rights, biological reality, local control, and rejecting the notion that public institutions should reprogram children instead of serving families.
The cultural Left, once a champion of autonomy and tolerance, now operates by coercion. “Equity” departments at schools, corporations, and governments write top-down speech codes. School administrators silence dissent. In some cases, even the American flag is deemed too divisive.

The nation’s largest teachers’ union plans to promote a version of Holocaust remembrance that does not mention Jews, according to its 2025 handbook, which references “victims of the Holocaust from different faiths” and teaches that Israel was founded through “forced, violent displacement and dispossession,” its most recent guide for members shows.
The National Education Association, which represents nearly three million public school teachers and education workers, outlined the priorities in its 2025 handbook. The NEA publishes the document each year as a guide on the group’s priorities and strategic goals for the association’s national and state leaders, staff, and members. It includes the NEA’s bylaws and is updated with any new resolutions and policy positions the union has endorsed.
The news comes amid a surge in both anti-Semitism and anti-Israel extremism at public schools and within teachers’ unions themselves. The NEA Representative Assembly—the union’s parliamentary body—passed a resolution to boycott the Anti-Defamation League’s Holocaust education materials earlier this month, a vote the union’s leadership rejected.
The NEA handbook, though, indicates that union leadership does back the extremist anti-Israel and anti-Jewish positions of many of its members.
The handbook says the union will “promote the celebration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day” by “recognizing more than 12 million victims of the Holocaust from different faiths, ethnicities, races, political beliefs, genders, and gender identification, abilities/disabilities, and other targeted characteristics.” The description does not mention the attempted extermination of the Jewish people by the Nazis.
Look for … the Union label….

An autistic 17-year-old girl died after being admitted to hospital in “an advanced state of starvation”, a coroner has said. The teen died on May 5 2024, having been taken to A&E at Cramlington’s Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital on April 30.
…
Senior Coroner Hetherington has subsequently issued a “prevention of future deaths” notice in which the girl’s name has been redacted. He has highlighted seven areas where in his view improvements are required. NHS organisations have admitted the care the girl received was “not at the standard anyone would expect”.

Spanish officials have spent the months since one of the worst power outages in European history publicly blaming everything but their overreliance on renewables. But their actions behind the scenes show they know this to have been the true cause.
Most tellingly, the nation’s gas consumption for electricity generation soared by an impressive 41% in the first half of the year. Bloomberg reports that this heavier-than-normal reliance on fossil fuel was intended to “stabilise the country’s power network in the wake of a nationwide blackout in April.”
Spanish energy boss Arturo Gonzalo is also quoted in the paper saying “gas played a decisive role in restoring normality in Spain after the April 28th blackout, ensuring supply to all consumers,” adding that combined-cycle plants went from supplying about 5% of the electricity produced in Spain to 49% “during hours that were critical for the country.”

Countless Americans see the United States as the land of opportunity. This belief is vividly demonstrated through the relentless pursuit of the American dream. According to the Small Business Administration, there are over 30 million small businesses across America.
For each one of the individuals behind these businesses, opportunity is not just an ideal, it is a reality. Small business owners sacrifice their time, savings, sweat, and tears for the chance at providing meaningful services and jobs for their communities, all while pursuing their own American dream.
For a small business, customers and employees are more often viewed as an extension of family and community. Yet, for the last decade, Democrats in Washington, D.C., and unelected bureaucrats—people who have never started a business or created a job in their communities—have worked to advance costly, burdensome regulations, pretending that they know what is best for small businesses and their employees.
Those that can, do. Those that can’t do, teach. Those that can’t teach, get a government job.

However, according to Tower Hamlets Council, Labour intends to repurpose the London hotel as temporary accommodation for asylum seekers.

Sunday marked six months to the day since President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office, but the epidemic of “Trump Derangement Syndrome” shows no signs of abating.
To the contrary, this pernicious affliction, which has ravaged the mental health of hundreds of thousands on the Left, appears to be worsening with each new public policy pronouncement of the Trump administration—most recently, the defunding of PBS and NPR.
Still, no one has yet suggested “stopping the spread” of Trump Derangement Syndrome—TDS, for short—through mandatory masking or six feet of social distancing.
That would seem to be advisable, given the monthly nationwide outbreak of “No Kings,” “50505,” and “Good Trouble” anti-Trump rallies.
These astroturf (i.e., not grassroots) uprisings are superspreaders for the TDS virus, intended for transmission to otherwise normal, mentally stable individuals.
There’s no known treatment, much less a cure, for this contagion.
Short of that, Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, has introduced the Trump Derangement Syndrome Research Act of 2025.

In a classic case of central planning, lawmakers in Los Angeles passed a bill in May to bring the minimum wage for hotel and airport workers to $30 by 2028, while also imposing a new $8.25 per hour mandatory health care contribution. Implementation of that bill is currently on hold as the city clerk reviews the signatures of a referendum petition that would bring the bill to a public vote in June 2026.
Los Angeles’ sector-specific wage hike follows on the heels of California’s statewide $20 minimum wage mandate for fast-food workers that went into effect in April 2024.
The consequences of that wage hike on the fast-food industry should be a warning sign to Los Angeles, especially as it prepares to host the 2028 Summer Olympics. Crucial to the success of those Olympic games will be the capability of the city’s hotels and its Los Angeles International Airport to serve an estimated 15 million visitors.
According to a new study published in the National Bureau of Economic Research, California’s 25% increase in the minimum wage (from $16 to $20) for fast-food workers led to a 3.2% decline in fast food employment, which translated to 18,000 lost jobs.

Leftism is a process of removing all good things from Christian life until nothing is left by the mocking void of Hell.
The process consists of four steps. We will use the Sexual Revolution as the example.
DEMORALIZATION. the first step is to remove common sense rules and restrictions, traditions and guidelines by calling them “taboos.” Those who uphold traditional Christian virtues are scorned and demoralized. Teaching virtue stops. Anarchy results.
DESTABILIZATION: The next step is to demand equality and nonjudgmentalism between healthy versus unhealthy expressions of the sexual anarchy. This is done by stigmatizing virginity as uncool, while stigmatizing marriage as an oppression against women. Sexual roles are abolished. Young women, naturally, fall prey to the unchecked lust of men of all ages, and young women become the especially enemy of old women.
Family life is stigmatized. Fatherhood is demeaned. Boys are drugged and conditioned to act like girls. Contraception is legalized. Abortion is renamed “reproductive health” in a perfect Orwellian word-reversal.
CRISIS: Third, morality is inverted. Whores become aspirational culture heroes, boasting of how many men couple with them. Ugliness, such as tattoos and nose rings, replaces lipstick and high heels, which are now the particular province of cross dressers. Chivalry is anathematized as “white knighting.” The ME TOO movement now redefines all sexual activity (except for fetishism and perversion) as rape culture. All male attention is the “male gaze” and Playboy magazine, at one time the foremost advocate of sexual liberation, is now the enemy of women. Chastity becomes perversion and perversion becomes the norm. The abomination of sodomy becomes a sacrament of marriage.
NORMALIZATION: Public institutions enforce the new inverted morality. This requires strict censorship of all press, media, entertainment, and, in the Internet Age, social media and private thought. Silent prayer near abortion mills is outlawed. Idols to Satan are erected in public spaces, while Christian decorations and monuments are banished.
In order for men to be women and women to be men, fact and reason are outlawed. Honest discussion of scientific matters is outlawed. Honest reporting in the news is outlawed.
Gaslighting — lies too outrageous ever to be believed — becomes the norm in all discussions and thought. Reason stops. The gift of speech, in effect, is removed from the Sons of Adam.
And women kill more children in the womb than all the wars of all men of all time combined.
Hell reigns.

Until the big beautiful bill passed, the federal government was not able to review Medicaid data to determine whether beneficiaries were claiming benefits in more than one state. Amazing, but apparently true. The Unleash Prosperity Hotline explains:
Acting on new authority from the One Big Beautiful Bill, CMS has scanned the Medicaid rolls, and found that an astonishing 2.8 million people were enrolled in either Medicaid programs in multiple states or both Medicaid and an Obamacare exchange plan. Ending this double-dipping alone will save an estimated $14 billion per year.
Estimates of Medicare fraud run as high as $120 billion per year, and Medicaid fraud is, in all likelihood, even worse. Double dipping in two states is the barest tip of the iceberg.
Here in Minnesota, we have essentially no eligibility checks on Medicaid benefits. We don’t even know whether recipients of Medicaid live in Minnesota, so, among other things, we make it easy to claim benefits in two or more states. This is so stupid that even Minnesotans don’t like it. The polling that we have unveiled on our Minnesota DOGE tour and in the current issue of Thinking Minnesota, just now dropping in mailboxes, finds that 75% of respondents want Medicaid recipients to have their eligibility reviewed annually–remarkably, we don’t do that–and 89% favor requiring all Minnesota Medicaid recipients to live in Minnesota. One can only wonder about the remaining 11%.

The French high authority for health, which has been working on transgender issues since 2022, has published its recommendations, which exclude minors—a victory for those who work tirelessly to protect children from transgender madness.
Three years ago, the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), an independent public authority responsible for advising the state on health issues based on scientific recommendations, launched a working group on the “medical transition pathway for transgender people.” There was every reason for concern, as Le Figaro had pointed out that the group in question was overwhelmingly composed of trans people, members of trans activist associations, or health professionals closely aligned with the trans lobby, to the exclusion of other organisations that could have provided a different and more measured perspective.
On Friday, July 18th, the HSA published a document outlining its initial recommendations for adults—while excluding minors “due to a lack of consensus.”

Taxpayer money is being funnelled through the health ministry in Baden-Württemberg—a state in southwest Germany—to a drag workshop for children. And all this under the guise of “child and youth protection.”
The local administration’s official website for the event—one of many “protection action days” listed for the coming months—says it is targeted specifically at “queer youth” who will be enabled to “creatively explore gender identity, gender expression and social role expectations.”
Through makeup, costume styling, and performance, the young people develop their own looks and stage performances, which they work on together with experienced drag artists.
Apollo News states that the event is aimed at 14- to 27-year-olds who will be taught dances by drag artists. It is unclear how much money has been handed to its organisation.
The stated aim of this event, which is set to be held in the evening on July 27th, is to protect queer youth “from experiences of discrimination by allowing them to express themselves in a protected and valued manner.” It has received some backlash on social media, but has gone largely unreported.
News of the class comes less than a month after a Christian Social Union (CSU) member in Bavaria was threatened with expulsion from the party for protesting against a separate drag event for children.

However, instead of reporting the death to authorities, Gonzalez allegedly broke her cell phone and is accused of abusing the corpse, decapitating her and storing her body in a storage container of bleach on his property (The kind of precaution a murderer might take to hide evidence, though the suspect has not yet been charged with murder).

Reeling from their 2024 election loss, Democrats are scrambling to reconnect with the working class—yet their brilliant strategy of embracing socialist and communist candidates, doubling down on un-American woke ideology, shielding criminal illegal aliens, and supporting dark-money NGOs that fuel insurrectionist behavior like the Los Angeles riots—isn’t a comeback plan but just political suicide.
The party of leftist social justice warriors is cracking under the weight of its own failures. Woke culture is imploding, “green” fantasies are backfiring, and nowhere is this more evident than in the Democrat stronghold states of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, where the retirement of stable, affordable fossil fuel power in favor of unreliable solar and wind is driving up energy costs to the highest in the nation this summer and breaking the pocketbooks of working-class families they claim to champion.
Energy policies should balance three key objectives: affordability, reliability, and environmental sustainability — often referred to as the “energy trilemma.” Yet Democrats rammed through climate policies that torched two objectives, affordability and reliability for the environment.

Harvard University “refused to take any reasonable action to punish” its two students who faced criminal charges for assaulting an Israeli classmate and instead “did everything it could to defend, protect, and reward” them, according to a new lawsuit from the Israeli student.
Video footage of the incident showed the assailants, law student Ibrahim Bharmal and divinity school student Elom Tettey-Tamaklo, shoving and accosting Israeli business school student Yoav Segev at an October 2023 “die-in” protest. Bharmal and Tettey-Tamaklo eventually faced criminal charges, which came to a head in April when they agreed to take an in-person anger management class and perform 80 hours of community service as part of a pretrial diversion program.
Former Harvard president Claudine Gay testified to Congress that the school would complete its own disciplinary process after the criminal case’s conclusion. Instead, both Bharmal and Tettey-Tamaklo were allowed to graduate in good standing from their respective schools shortly after they agreed to the diversion program. They were also “rewarded” for their anti-Semitic behavior, the lawsuit notes: Bharmal received a $65,000 “public interest” fellowship from the Harvard Law Review shortly before graduating, while Tettey-Tamaklo was made a class marshall for the divinity school’s graduation ceremony.

Britain’s left-wing Labour government has announced plans to lower the voting age in time for the next U.K. general election, allowing 16- and 17-year-olds to vote in what it described as sweeping electoral reforms to “modernize democracy.”
Ministers say the move is designed to rebuild public trust, but critics have accused the government of trying to tilt the electoral playing field in its favor, with recent polling suggesting Labour would benefit from a third of the votes.
The voting age reform is part of a broader Elections Bill that will also ease voter ID rules by allowing bank cards as accepted identification and introduce tougher regulations on foreign donations, campaigner abuse, and digital voter registration.
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner said the plan would “break down barriers to participation” and deliver on Labour’s manifesto promise to extend the vote to young people who already “work, pay taxes, and serve in the military.”
Minister for Democracy Rushanara Ali called it a “generational step forward.”
No, they just want more votes for Labour from a demographic that has often demonstrated an inability to think things through. There is a reason that voting is restricted to adults. Indeed, a good case could be made for raising it to 25, which is where the insurance companies (based on actual statistical data) consider people old enough not to do stupid shit in traffic.

New York Democrats—and the broader party in desperate need of a course correction—continue to double, triple, and even quadruple down on all things woke. They’ve now taken it a step further by openly cheerleading socialism and Marxism. This increasingly radical un-American direction, backed by a network of dark money-funded NGOs, has even drawn criticism from prominent figures like JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, who recently described Democrats as “idiots … with big hearts and little brains.”
Democrats “overdid DEI,” Dimon said last week, adding, “I have a lot of friends who are Democrats, and they’re idiots.”
Dimon isn’t wrong—in fact, he’s spot on. He sees clearly that the party has veered further down a toxic, increasingly un-American path at a time when the Overton Window shifted back toward the center-right after a decade of woke. Yet Democrats seem oblivious to this realignment of what is now socially acceptable in the eyes of the American people.
Meanwhile, Democrats are testing the waters with socialist Bernie Sanders and Marxist New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, posing for a staged photo op.
“The Oligarchs are prepared to undermine democracy & spend tens of millions to buy the election for his opponents,” Sanders’ social media team wrote on X, adding, “We will not allow that to happen. Stand with Zohran.”

Democratic nominee for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani said he has helped his father, a radical Columbia University professor who has called for a “Third Intifadah,” edit his writings in an attempt to “stay engaged” with his work, audio reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon shows.
“I will help my parents, like editing their speeches or writings, just as, like, a fresh eye, to make it more accessible,” he said during a resurfaced 2017 interview on the AirGo podcast. “And that’s awesome, because I also get to stay engaged with what they’re saying and doing.”
The comments raise new questions about Mamdani’s support for the extremist views of his father, Mahmood Mamdani. The elder Mamdani’s latest book, dedicated to his son, repeatedly equates Jews with Nazis, rails against the “Judaization” of Israel by “Ashkenazi elites,” and claims that Israel’s existence proves that Hitler’s “Final Solution” worked. He has also appeared to justify suicide bombers as simply a “category of soldier” and called for a “Third Intifadah against settler colonialism.”

I want to talk about a big controversy. And that is Immigration and Customs Enforcement was recently deployed to the largest pot farm, cannabis farm, in California: Glass House Farms, run by Graham Farrar. He is the owner of it. And he was employing well over 300 illegal aliens, openly, in front of everybody.
It’s in the wider Los Angeles area, in Ventura County. And ICE went there. Of course, as it happens now, people within the government, the bureaucracy, tip off protesters. So as soon as ICE got to the pot farm, there were people. The usual crowd: academics, leftists, Latino organizers that are radical.
And of course, they were waving the Mexican flag. The flag that the people who were going to be detained do not want to go back to. They were not waving the American flag, of the country in which they are desperately eager to stay, even under illegal auspices.
But here’s the irony. This raid typified or exemplified or was emblematic of all the strange things that are going on with illegal immigration.

In 1983, the University of California, San Diego, created the Black Alumni Scholarship Fund (BASF). Operated and funded by the university, the scholarship subsidized the tuition of black students—who at that time made up just 2 percent of UCSD—and provided them with mentorship and study abroad opportunities.
Then Proposition 209 passed.
California’s ban on affirmative action, which went into effect in 1997, meant that state universities could no longer offer scholarships like UCSD’s. But rather than shut down the program, the university found a loophole to keep it up and running.
With help from private donors, UCSD transferred the scholarship to an off-campus nonprofit, the San Diego Foundation, that was not subject to Prop. 209. The move allowed the scholarship to continue operating under the auspices of a private institution, even though the program is only available to UCSD students and uses racial data provided by the university.
Now in its 42nd year, BASF has doled out more than $800,000 on behalf of UCSD. It is part of a family of race-based programs, including those in Texas and Michigan, that are financed by private nonprofits but support students at public schools, an arrangement critics say is used to outsource discrimination to the private sector.
A new lawsuit threatens to chip away at the legal foundations of that arrangement. In a complaint filed against UCSD and the San Diego Foundation on Wednesday, a conservative law firm is arguing that both entities conspired to deprive students of their civil rights, thereby violating a 19th-century law meant to rein in racial vigilantism.

An Arkansas law banning the teaching of critical race theory in classrooms will be allowed to proceed after a federal appellate court lifted a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed by teachers, students, and others who said the law suppresses free speech.
The U.S. 8th District Court of Appeals, in ruling for the state on Wednesday, said that it concluded that “the district court erred by granting a preliminary injunction to the students because they are not likely to succeed on their free speech claim,” reports ABC affiliate KATV.
The ban is part of the LEARNS Act, signed in 2023. According to Section 16 of the legislation, the “indoctrination” of students through the teaching of critical race theory, which covers teaching in schools about race in connection with American history, is prohibited.
Yet anotther win against Wokery.

Republican members of Congress are working to strip the National Education Association of its congressional “stamp of approval.”
“The National Education Association’s time is over,” Rep. Mark Harris, R-N.C., said at a press conference Wednesday in unveiling his legislation to strip the teachers union of its congressional charter.
“They call themselves a teachers union, but their true mission is clear: indoctrinating our children with toxic propaganda,” Harris said.
The NEA, a giant labor union representing educators, received its congressional charter in 1906.

Europe’s free university model is often seen as a triumph of modern society. With no crushing tuition bills, minimal student debt, and a promise of equal access, it sounds ideal. In countries like Germany and France, students pay only a small administrative fee, typically between $200 and $500 a year, compared to the staggering tuition costs in the US or UK. Many also receive financial aid in the form of grants that don’t need to be repaid, or low-interest loans based on need.
But behind the promises of fairness and opportunity lies a system that too often feels rigid, overcrowded, and uninspiring.
For all its accessibility, the reality of navigating these institutions can leave students feeling like just another number in a giant, bureaucratic machine.
When education is available to everyone, universities become packed. Lecture halls overflow, and personal contact with professors becomes rare. In many European countries, it is normal to attend classes with hundreds of other students. There is little space for discussion, feedback, or even questions.
Supply is limited, demand is infinite. Elementary economics. (Just like health care!)

The shock from New York City’s recent mayoral primary wasn’t just political; it was palpable within the luxury real estate world. Within hours of Zohran Mamdani’s win, some Manhattan buyers were already shifting gears, reaching out to brokers in Florida to explore their options. “The night that the primary election results started coming in, I received four different text messages from N.Y.C. clients as well as a call and an email,” Danny Hertzberg of The Jills Zeder Group in Miami tells Robb Report. “The response was immediate.”
The threat of a communist Mayor will do that.
Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist, won on a platform that includes building 200,000 affordable homes, freezing rents on stabilized units, imposing a 2 percent millionaire’s tax, and doubling the minimum wage. His proposals have energized progressives but raised concerns among parts of the real estate and investment sectors. While some investors and real estate professionals are trepidatious, supporters argue that his policies aim to address long-standing affordability challenges in New York City by increasing access to housing and strengthening tenant protections.
According to Hertzberg, the reaction hasn’t just been noise. One client who had been under contract for a property in New York pulled out the day after the election and is now house-hunting in Miami, looking to move capital into what he sees as a more business-friendly and growth-oriented market.
There will be a lot of real estate bargains for rich communists if Mamdani gets elected.
For everybody else: It’s Time to Leave.

In the past six months, a chorus of analysts and commentators warned of an impending collapse of the US economy.
Many predicted that persistent inflation, high interest rates, and ballooning government deficits would drag growth to a halt and trigger a recession.
However, the data tell a different story: the United States demonstrates economic strength, fiscal control, and improving inflation expectations.

All three commissioners leading the United Nations’ anti-Israel inquisition panel resigned this week, just days after the State Department sanctioned a pro-Hamas U.N. investigator.
The U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory’s chairwoman Navi Pillay, commissioner Miloon Kothari, and commissioner Chris Sidoti all announced they are stepping down, according to the watchdog group U.N. Watch.
The exodus comes less than a week after Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced U.S. sanctions against U.N. special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese for her “illegitimate and shameful efforts to prompt [International Criminal Court] action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives.”

Media accounts have cast departing Justice Department lawyers as principled nonpartisan civil servants too conscientious to serve a politicized Trump administration. But several of these lawyers have taken up very political roles after they’ve left the department.
Dan Freeman, the litigation director for the Democratic National Committee, touted his time in the Justice Department in a fundraising email this week, asserting the Trump administration “forced out brilliant lawyers” and “directed us to drop crucial cases.”
“I spent almost 15 years at the DOJ as a voting rights lawyer. I was a civil servant, and I loved enforcing the Voting Rights Act on behalf of the American people,” Freeman’s letter says. “I helped stop voter purges in Alabama and gerrymandering in Texas. But everything changed when President Trump returned to the White House.”
Freeman vowed the DNC is “going to use legal action to enforce voting rights laws when states around the country violate them, and we’ll intervene and defend your right to vote when the Republican Party tries to make it harder for you to cast a ballot that will be counted.”
In response to an inquiry from The Daily Signal, Freeman said in a written statement, “This isn’t about party, it’s about democracy.”
When a Democrat uses the term ‘democracy’, he means ‘Democrat power’.

The Telegraph (UK).
Diversity and inclusion experts can come to the UK on skilled work visas, The Telegraph can reveal.
The Home Office has also safeguarded visa application routes for the vocations of poet and blogger on a list of protected occupations.
Labour has made tackling migration one of its key targets, with a crackdown on work visas announced earlier this year after net migration neared one million.
Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary, vowed to ensure that the immigration system was “linked to skills and training”.
But critics have said that ministers are protecting the wrong professions instead of focusing on importing workers who will contribute to the ailing economy.
Under the “crackdown” announced in May, a temporary list of “shortage” occupations was drawn up outlining who would continue to be eligible for skilled work visas.
Among these roles is “equality and diversity manager”. In recent years, such jobs have become controversial for pushing concepts such as the idea of “white privilege”.
The profession has been described as a “plague” on the public sector, and the Civil Service alone has spent £27 million of taxpayers’ money on diversity officers in a year. More than £13 million is being spent on the salaries of diversity officers by NHS trusts each year.
The Crust take care of their own.
