Democratic women are far more likely to blame men for their problems than conservative women are — and less than a quarter of young Republican men blame their ills on women, a recent survey found.

Young Democratic women were particularly likely to lay the blame for their problems at men, with 66% of 18 to 29-year-olds saying “the challenges that women face in American society” were “a great deal due to the behavior or actions of men,” according to the Survey Center on American Life.

They also said women faced “a lot” of discrimination in America, the poll found.

And a 2025 survey from the Universities of Göttingen and Jena in Germany found 47% of left-leaning women would rather stay single than date somebody with opposing political views.

No wonder they’re having problems with dating. Think of it as evolution in action.

In a talk about Islamophobia, North Yorkshire council staff who handle anti-terror work were taught that Islam’s attitude to women did not conflict with Western values.

The lecture was part of a publicly funded training programme titled Project Unity, which The Telegraph understands has also been presented to students, police officers and civil servants responsible for the counter-extremism Prevent programme.

The presentation also said that “Jesus grew a beard”, as Muslim men are instructed to, and stated that “the hijab was prevalent in the UK only 100 years ago”, with images showing shawls common in early 20th-century Britain. These have no relation to Islam.

Jesus grew a beard because he was a Jew. This is pure proglodyte propaganda.

After being sued by homeowners, the socialist mayor must reimplement his pied-à-terre tax after its “botched” rollout.

The lawsuit argued that the city sent notices to about 17,000 New Yorkers telling them their homes might be subject to the tax before properly checking whether they were full-time residents.

“Homeowners are being substantially harmed and penalised needlessly” by the city’s “method of implementing the tax law”, Judge Wayne M Ozzi, sitting in Staten Island, ruled.

The Navy has identified the aircraft type at the center of last night’s mishap aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. The service said the incident involved the crew of an EA-18G Growler electronic warfare jet who were forced to eject after the aircraft experienced an arresting gear failure while trying to land. This took place about 6:18 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time Monday as the vessel was off the coast of Virginia.

The Growler crew, attached to the “Zappers” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 130, was “promptly recovered by search-and-rescue personnel assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7. Both aviators were safely returned to the ship,” the Navy added. The cause of the mishap is still being investigated.

It is unclear at the moment whether the aircraft was lost or if there was any damage to the carrier itself. We have reached out to the Navy to find out more details.

If they had to eject, then yeah, the aircraft was lost. If the arresting wire actually broke, which is implied by the fact that sailors on deck were injured, then yeah, there was damage to the ship.

The failure of an arresting wire is one of the worst nightmares carrier-based fixed-wing naval aircrews and sailors on deck can face. The wire turns into a falling steel whip that can cut a person in half as it slices through the air across the flight deck, and usually, the aircraft it broke away from, ends up in the sea as it doesn’t have enough airspeed or time to get airborne again.

Well, there’s more to it than that. The one invariable rule for carrier landings is that when the aircraft hits the deck the pilot goes to full power just in case they miss the wire or the wire breaks and they have to get airborne again (“bolter”). A functioning arresting wire will stop the plane no matter what its engines are doing; it’s specifically engineered to do that. All this has been thought through and prepared for. It will be interesting to find out the details. (Yeah, I do miss my time on the JFK, even though it’s been fifty years.)

The Supreme Court majority (6-3) has granted the DOJ request to put on hold a Boston-based US District Judge ruling that DHS policy to remove illegal aliens to so-called third countries is unlawful. The University of California tells students that using pronouns or names corresponding to a person’s sex assigned at birth rather than their gender identity can constitute sexual harassment. Now, an education watchdog has won an early victory in court to stop it from enforcing its misgendering policy.

The ruling comes amid a First Amendment challenge to University of California policies that classify certain instances of “misgendering” and “deadnaming” as potential harassment.

Training materials cited in Defending Education’s lawsuit included examples involving bathrooms, pronouns, and “deadnaming.”

America is about to find out what happens when a municipal government stops merely measuring racial disparities and instead begins organizing its decisions around them.

New York City’s Racial Equity Plan, released Sept. 1 by Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration, is the first citywide racial-equity framework in the Big Apple’s history. It implements a 2022 voter-approved charter amendment requiring citywide and agency-specific racial-equity blueprints.

Under the plan, 45 agencies will examine racial outcomes across housing, employment, contracting, health, public safety, and other areas of government, touching everything from budgeting and staffing to service delivery and land use.

They will break down data by race and ethnicity, identify disparities, and use that information to shape policies and allocate resources. Among the plan’s recurring themes are “budget reallocation” and “targeted investment,” along with directing government attention toward historically underserved communities.

In other words, explicitly racial and ethnic favoritism. Time for white people to leave New York City.

A society can change who becomes rich without substantially changing how unequal the society is. Regulation can weaken one economic elite while creating opportunities for another. Entrepreneurs and investors may lose relative influence while lawyers, compliance specialists, lobbyists, consultants and regulatory experts gain it.

Washington state voters will decide in November whether to repeal a new 9.9% income tax on earnings above $1 million, setting up a major ballot fight over taxes, government spending, and the state’s business climate, The New York Times reported.

The tax, signed into law by Democrat Gov. Bob Ferguson in March, is scheduled to take effect Jan. 1, 2028. It imposes a 9.9% levy on Washington taxable income above a $1 million deduction for individuals and married couples filing jointly.

Initiative 26-645, certified for the Nov. 3 ballot, would repeal the tax before it takes effect and prohibit state and local governments from imposing taxes on individual income in the future.

One day, probably in the very near future, there will be a hailstorm of studies done on the Covid pandemic era and the absolute hysteria that surrounded it. The virus was essentially a non-issue with an average infection fatality rate of 0.23%, meaning 99.8% of all people would easily survive. Yet, most of the world shut down vast areas of the economy and tried to force the global population to wear masks that were eventually proven to do absolutely nothing to stop the spread.

Perhaps the most interesting detail of all, though, is the political left’s continued obsession with the lockdown period. Leftists treat the pandemic as their “golden era”, the moment in history when they basked in pure authoritarianism, the moment when they had all the power. And like an addictive drug, they just can’t seem to let the pandemic go.

A new Senate report highlights startling amounts of health care fraud, including a payment of almost $1 billion in taxpayer dollars to Russian fraudsters and hundreds of millions to others.

The report, which points to some of the most egregious cases out of a total of more than half a trillion in fraud, highlights more than $21 billion in bogus claims billed to the federal government. Of that, more than $3.1 billion in taxpayer money was actually paid out to these fraudsters.

“While some Americans will be fortunate enough to earn a few million dollars over a lifetime, Washington is literally making these scammers instant billionaires off the backs of the working class,” the report says. “Yet, you never hear socialists ranting about this unfair redistribution of wealth.”

The Wall Street Journal reports that “Portland real estate is such a mess that all housing is affordable housing” (ungated). “Six-figure earners are paying some of the same rents as lower-income residents who qualify for subsidized housing.”

Portland housing is definitely messed up, but what the Journal doesn’t say is that the reason why so-called affordable housing is so expensive is because Portland’s affordable housing system is really messed up. The agencies and non-profits running the system spend way too much on such housing, building less than they could with the funds that are available, then don’t make an effort to fill the vacancies. Most people who live in such housing either lied on their applications or can’t afford the rents, and the agency leaders don’t care because they are too busy flying around the country at taxpayers’ expense.

The problem with housing in Oregon is that, thanks to the state’s urban-growth boundaries, there is a shortage of supply. Giving people money to buy more housing will increase the demand without increasing the supply. That will simply raise housing prices, making housing even less affordable, especially for those who don’t qualify as first-time homebuyers. This is a typical idea for a democratic socialist like Merkley, who wants to throw money at any problem. It is a little surprising that Wyden, who is usually more sensible, bought into it.

Disturbing video appears to show a Hamas fighter using a young child as a human shield to transfer weapons into a civilian home in Gaza during Israeli operations in the territory.
The aerial footage, taken from an Israeli drone, was shared by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to show the twisted methods the Palestinian terror group is using to prevent Israeli air strikes.
In the clip, the young boy is seen struggling under the weight of a large rifle, at one point staggering as if about to fall over, as a suspected militant directs him down the street.

An executive games engineer for The New York Times was shot dead by his 77-year-old in-laws in a California car park, police said.

Jonathan McKinsey, 40, the newspaper’s head of engineering for games player experience, was found with gunshot wounds in the Bay Area suburb of Dublin and pronounced dead at the scene.

Shouyong Zhang, his father-in-law, and Shili Chen, his mother-in-law, were arrested soon afterwards and are being held in jail.

Elif Eralp, the Die Linke leader in Berlin who is trying to form a coalition to run the city and become mayor, has pledged to seize ownership of 200,000 apartments to address a housing crisis.

Her housing policy was a key vote-winner for liberal residents in Berlin in the state elections on Sept 20. The capital was once known for being “poor but sexy” yet has seen rents soar by nearly 70 per cent over the past decade.

The North Yorkshire Police officers were asked to consider the “harm” done by Mr Farage, and then told that the politician would be “locked up” if he were similarly critical of Jewish people.

On Sunday, NBC News reported that Marines were injured during an Iranian cruise missile attack while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Sept. 14. The network’s sources said the Marines were not on a U.S. Navy ship, but they did not identify which vessel they were on. However, a former Royal Mail vessel that at one point was being converted into a floating armory stands out as a strong possibility.

While much remains unclear about the Sept. 14 incident, there was only one vessel known to have been struck that day, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) and a maritime security official we spoke with. The ship was eventually identified by several maritime media outlets as the M/V St. Helena. Again, the St. Helena’s involvement remains unconfirmed, but the ship’s interesting background is of particular note.

The U.S. Navy’s schedule for getting USS Connecticut, one of its prized Seawolf class nuclear attack submarines, back into service has slipped into next summer. The boat suffered severe damage, especially to its bow, in a collision with an underwater seamount in the South China Sea in 2021. The service had previously hoped that repairs would be finished before the end of this year, and planning is also now underway for the submarine’s retirement in 2031. This would mean it could serve for just four years before being pulled from service once and for all.

The only thing that saves us is that other governments are even more stupid than our government.

The exact reasons for the delays are unclear.

What’s clear is that our ship maintenance facilities are highly incompetent. Maybe we ought to outsource that to the Chinese; they don’t seem to have these problems.

The White House returned over half a billion dollars previously appropriated by Congress for programs serving illegal immigrants. While conservatives praised the return of federal funds, the rare action by President Donald Trump has lawmakers scrambling, with some members calling it an illegal check on Congress’ power of the purse.

On Friday, the White House Office of Management and Budget returned $810 million of taxpayer funds appropriated by Congress that were soon to expire on Sept. 30. The move, known as a pocket rescission, is a rare check on legislative power provided by the Impoundment Control Act.

Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., called for the release of an Islamic militia leader convicted of having led, operated, and participated in actions that resulted in the deaths of Israelis in the early 2000s.

Khanna acknowledged Marwan Barghouti’s criminal conviction but still justified his remarks by stating that the militia leader is also a Palestinian politician who is well respected among Palestinian factions.

“Releasing Barghouti does not provide him with a pardon or moral absolution of crimes he may have committed,” Khanna said in a video he posted on X over the weekend.

“So long as occupation continues, the intifada will not stop,” Barghouti said as he entered an Israeli court in 2004. “As long as Palestinian mothers are weeping, Israeli mothers will also weep.”

Barghouti is serving five life sentences after having been convicted in 2004 of complicity, one count of attempted murder, and one count of membership in a terrorist group involved in a spree of attacks that claimed the lives of a Greek Orthodox monk in the West Bank in 2001, one Israeli at the Jewish settlement of Givat Zeev in 2002, and three people at a Tel Aviv seafood restaurant.

Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson Saturday compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement patrols to lynch mobs and likened current political battles over LGBTQ issues to the civil rights movement.

HRC, the nation’s largest LGBTQ activist group, has sharply criticized Trump’s policies on transgender issues, including restrictions on military service for people diagnosed with gender dysphoria and opposition to transgender medical procedures on minors.

“This is a dark time in America,” Robinson said at the HRC annual dinner in Washington, D.C. “They say that history doesn’t repeat, but it often rhymes, that the ghosts of our unsettled sins continue to haunt us.”

“The story of Nolan Wells echoes the story of Emmett Till,” she said. Wells, an 18-year-old, mysteriously died in Georgia this summer, while the 14-year-old Till’s 1955 murder became a rallying point for the civil rights movement. “The ICE patrols look a little too similar to lynch mobs. The purging of the voter rolls looks just like poll taxes, and the attacks on our trans children, they are just as haunting.”

Robinson repeatedly framed current conflicts over transgender policies as a continuation of historic civil rights struggles, arguing that government actions targeting transgender identities echoed forms of discrimination previously directed at black Americans.

Supporters of women’s sports and sex-based protections have reason to celebrate. The Department of Education announced Sept. 28 that it is formally rescinding the Biden administration’s 2024 Title IX rule and reinstating the 2020 Title IX regulations promulgated under the first Trump administration.

Ongoing litigation has prevented the Trump administration from being able to formally rescind the illegal 2024 Biden regulations from the Code of Federal Regulations, even though the Department has been following the 2020 Trump-era Title IX regulations since January of last year.

In April 2024, the Biden administration had issued final regulations rewriting the more than 50-year-old civil rights law, Title IX, to include sexual orientation and gender identity. Essentially, it allowed boys who claim to identify as girls to participate in girls’ and women’s sports at schools that receive federal funding.

It all comes down to ‘federal funding’. These people are whores for ‘free’ government money.

Some trace much of our current hard times back to the rebellious sixties when we baby boomers came of age and took the arrogance of youth to new levels. Quoting Adam Smith after the horrible year of 1968 would have been an act of wisdom.

Tragically, those crazed baby boomers went on to infiltrate four critical pillars of our civic infrastructure — specifically, K-12 education, colleges, journalism, and entertainment media. For decades, all four of these pillars have been sources of problems, not sources of solutions. They have been causing ruin for over 50 years.

When over a third of our society is in favor of socialism, believes capitalism causes poverty, thinks society would be improved by closing jails and prisons, thinks open borders are beneficial, thinks giving sanctuary to violent criminals from foreign lands is noble and wise, and lack the wherewithal to recognize that Hamas, not Israel, is the aggressor in the Middle East, we are dangerously close to the limit of just how much ruin we can absorb.

A dozen teens were shot after gunfire broke out at a chaotic birthday party gone awry inside a Georgia park Saturday night, according to local authorities and reports.

The shots broke out around midnight at Carolyn Crayton Park in Macon, where a “large gathering” had congregated following a birthday party at a nearby Airbnb, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.

Two of the victims –- a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old boy — were left in critical condition, while the other 10 were listed in stable condition.
