“I’ve got mine; screw you!” is the rallying cry of those who seek to increase the density of urban areas by building multi-story apartment buildings. Actually, the rallying cry is “Yes in my backyard,” but most prominent YIMBYs live in single-family homes and I haven’t heard of a single one of them inviting developers to put apartments in their backyards. Instead, their attitude is “now that I have a single-family home, anyone else moving to this urban area should live in an apartment.”
