A Seattle, Wash., councilman implied that a new effort to clean excrement off the side walk outside the local courthouse could be racist Tuesday.
The crime and smell of urine and excrement have gotten so bad outside a King County courthouse that two judges are scrambling to find ways to fix the situation, reports the Seattle Times.
Seattle councilmember Larry Gossett isn’t a fan of one solution to power wash the feces sidewalks to tamp down on the smell. Power washing the sidewalks is too reminiscent of civil rights activists being hosed down, he said.
Something in the water of the Pacific that washes the Left Coast works to lower IQ.

Stanford biologist Paul Ehrlich has made a gaudy career of prophesying imminent ecological doom. “In the 1970s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now,” he declared in his 1968 manifesto The Population Bomb. In the subsequent 50 years, as world population more than doubled, the proportion of chronically undernourished people in the world dropped from 33 percent in 1968 to 11 percent now.

Anita Sarkeesian (@femfreq on Twitter) is a feminist who made herself notorious by her attempts to destroy the videogame industry with dubious charges of sexism, and who has since made a career of victimhood, claiming to be a target of criminal harassment.
Who is “harassing” whom? The reality is that Sarkeesian and her “social justice warrior” (SJW) allies are engaged in a dishonest effort to silence their critics. In February 2016, Twitter named Sarkeesian to its “Trust and Safety Council”; two weeks later, I was banned from Twitter.
Not surprisingly, Sarkeesian claimed that suspicions about her role in the totalitarian suppression of online dissent were “a manifestation of misogyny, borne out of a deep distrust and hatred of women.” This was disingenuous, as I wrote at the time:
“What Ms. Sarkeesian failed to do, of course, was to explain why she is so hated in particular (Answer: Because she lies) or whether the suspension of my account was prompted by a complaint from her or one of her allies.”
To this day, Twitter has never offered any specific justification for suspending my @rsmccain account, and this is a textbook lesson in what feminists do: Fabricate accusations, deny the accused a fair opportunity to respond, and pretend that the outcome is “social justice.”

Trudeau’s, development minister, Marie-Claude Bibeau, called abortion a “tool to end poverty” in an interview with CTV News.
I guess the theory is that if poor people don’t reproduce eventually we’ll run out of poor people.
“Contraception and even abortion is only a tool to end poverty,” Bibeau told CTV News, adding that she wants to give women “the control over their lives. So we shouldn’t look at contraception as the objective. This is not the objective. This is only a tool to reduce poverty and inequality and to make an impact in terms of development and peace and security in the world.”
A tool to help destroy Western civilization. I’ll give her that.

A citizen militia called “Defend Europe” is about to set sail in the Mediterranean to track down migrants and return them to Libya.
I was wondering when this would start. When a government fails to undertake its basic mission to enforce its own laws, inhabitants will form ad-hoc groups to do so. Commonly tagged with the cacophemism ‘vigilante’, this always happens.

Once again, Trump’s historical role appears to be to act as a catalyst accelerating existing trends, inciting his enemies to declare what’s really been on their minds all along. Thus, even cohesion in Western Europe, which is favored by Trump’s Polish hosts, is now viewed as a racist plot against People of Color, denying them their rightful right to migrate en masse to Europe.

One of the reasons many of us gave up on conventional politics is that in the mainstream, guys with weird, unpronounceable names, from foreign lands keep demanding we change our country to suit their needs. That would be tolerable if the response was “shut up and learn how to be Americans.” Instead, the political class goes out of its way to celebrate these people. Our rulers make it clear that the opinions of newly arrived boat people count for more than the opinions of the natives, who made the country possible.

The department chair went on to state that people could identify as American Indian not just through race/ancestry, but also through culture and politics, for example, by enrollment in the tribe.

During World War II wage and price controls were implemented in a foolish attempt to restrict the unrestrictable. This led companies to compete for employees by providing tax-free health care for their employees. This was never a well-thought public policy. It was not debated and analyzed. It was simply a response to the flawed thinking behind wage and price controls.
And now a little over 70 years later we are still living with this debacle as it has become only more ingrained in our collective lives. This decades old response to a bad idea in all likelihood has forever ended any chance we might someday have a free market for health care as we do for almost every other product. At some point it time it simply becomes “you can’t get there from here.”
Sadly, in all likelihood this one response to a foolish idea will ensure we have socialized medicine forever. And as many have noted, socialized medicine leads to only more socialism, and socialism has never worked long-term in any society in the history of humans. We face this bleak reality all because of a poor idea implemented decades ago.

The unfortunate fact is that all ‘stereotypes’ have a basis in reality.
April 22: Forty to sixty kids boarded a train at the Coliseum stop and robbed seven passengers, beating up two;
June 28: A group of four kids assaulted a passenger and made off with a cell phone at Dublin; and
June 30: A woman on a train with about a dozen teenagers had her phone snatched by one them before the group got off at the Coliseum stop. Thankfully, a good Samaritan was on hand to retrieve the phone.
So far, BART has refused to turn over surveillance video for any of these incidents.
Allen told us the agency issued an explanation for why it is being tight-lipped about the thefts.
“To release these videos would create a high level of racially insensitive commentary toward the district,” she was told. “And in addition it would create a racial bias in the riders against minorities on the trains.”
In other words, these were all instances of People of Color Behaving Badly. But that doesn’t fit the Narrative, so it can’t be admitted, or even thought.

It’s the sort of brazen move that might ordinarily trigger a front-page news story or an outraged editorial—a bunch of very rich individuals asking Congress to write them a law that would give them better negotiating power against other rich individuals.
Yet in this case, the rich individuals wanting special treatment are the newspaper owners themselves. The Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos (worth $83.9 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index), The New York Times largest shareholder Carlos Slim (worth $61.1 billion), and Buffalo News owner Warren Buffett ($76.9 billion), publicly pleading poverty, are asking Congress for a helping hand in their negotiations with Google, controlled by Sergey Brin ($45.6 billion) and Larry Page ($46.8 billion).
And every damned one of them is a Democrat. What are the odds?

The Kalpakkam reactor will generate 500 megawatts of electricity by using the element thorium instead of uranium, which is rare in India. The only other commercial fast breeder nuclear reactor in history is located in Russia, but this uses uranium instead of thorium. Fast breeder reactors would revolutionize nuclear power because they’re capable of generating more nuclear fuel then they consume while generating less nuclear waste.
“[F]ast reactors can help extract up to 70 percent more energy than traditional reactors and are safer than traditional reactors while reducing long lived radioactive waste by several fold,” Yukiya Amano, Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), told the Times of India.

In its race against rapidly aging Europe and East Asia, America’s relatively vibrant nurseries have provided some welcome demographic dynamism. Yet, in recent years, notably since the Great Recession and the weak recovery that followed, America’s birthrate has continued to drop, and is now at a record low.
Nowhere is this decline more marked than here in California. Once a state known for rapid population growth, and above-average fecundity, the state’s birthrate is also at a historic low. The results are particularly dismal in coastal Southern California. Los Angeles’ population of people under 17 already has dropped a precipitous 13.6 percent, with drops even among Latinos and Asians, while Orange County has fallen by 6 percent since 2000. The national growth, in contrast, was up 2.2 percent. Despite claims that people leaving California are old and poor, the two most recent years of data from the IRS show larger net losses from people in the 35 to 54 age group. Net out-migration is also larger among those making between $100,000 and $200,000 annually. This is your basic child-bearing middle class.

James McPherson, writing in the Washington Examiner, makes a remarkable observation: the leaders of Europe have no children. France’s Emmanuel Macron has none. Same with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British prime minister Theresa May, Italian prime minister Paolo Gentilon, Holland’s Mark Rutte, Scotland’s Nicola Sturgeon, and Jean-Claude Juncker, president of the European Commission. Sweden’s prime minister Stefan Lofven has no biological children.
The prime minister of Luxembourg is also childless. I mention him not to cherry pick, but because it means that of the six founding members of what evolved into the European Union, five are now led by childless prime ministers or presidents. As George Weigel says, this would have been unimaginable to one of the founders of modern “Europe,” Konrad Adenauer, who was the father of eight.

There is no evidence of any significant population of “moderate” Muslims anywhere in the world. Take, for example, the recent “Dozen-Muslim March Against Terror” in Germany, where only a couple of hundred people showed up — and the vast majority of those were native German Gutmenschen, and not Muslims.
There has never been an instance when thousands of Muslims took to the streets to protest against “Islamism”. Not a single one. The only time thousands of Muslims take to the streets is to protest some perceived slight committed by the kuffar. Or to denounce Israel’s treatment of the “Palestinians”. Or when someone draws a cartoon of Mohammed — then hundreds of thousands of Muslims take to the streets. Not only carrying banners and chanting slogans, but also burning cars and buildings, looting businesses, and assaulting people, sometimes with fatal consequences. And what do the “moderates” say about such events? Not a peep, at least not from more than a handful.
There may be a fair number of Muslims who hold “moderate” opinions, who think that Islam should not be spread by the sword, contrary to its core scriptures. Who object to the killing of apostates — also required by its core scriptures. Who think that a woman’s legal testimony should carry more than half the weight of a man’s — despite the fact that all major schools of Islamic law, Sunni and Shi’ite, state that requirement plainly.

A victim of the anti-police shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last year is now suing Black Lives Matter-associated activists for inciting violence that led to the shooting.
Prominent Black Lives Matter activist and liberal media darling Deray McKesson is mentioned in the suit, as are four other #BLM activists. It reportedly seeks at least $75,000 in damages.
…
The shooter in Baton Rouge, Gavin Long, an African-American military veteran, reportedly made a manifesto before the shooting where he talked about a war between “good cops” and “bad cops” and thought he had to “bring the same destruction that bad cops continue to inflict upon my people.”
“I see my actions as a necessary evil that I do not wish to partake in, nor do I enjoy partaking in, but must partake in, in order to create substantial change within America’s police force, and judicial system.” he wrote in his manifesto.
The suit, if successful, could set a precedent for how a group’s rhetoric could lead to violence and terror, like in the case of anti-police shootings in Baton Rouge and Dallas, where Micah Xavier Johnson opened fire on officers, killing five and wounding nine.

However, the breakdown by income clearly shows that those with the top incomes swung decisively for Clinton. Trump’s support came from whites with income below than $110,000/year. Note that study asks for “family income.”
Income below $110,000: Trump beats Clinton 55.7% to 36.7%
Income $110,000 and above: Clinton beats Trump 50.3% to 43.3%

After a long night of violence in Hamburg at the international G20 Summit, where left-wing, anti-capitalist rioters injured over 70 police officers, ABC and CBS still found a way to blame Trump for the violence. Despite both networks acknowledging that violence at these summits is “nothing new,” ABC and CBS spun that Trump’s presence was one of the primary reasons activists were inspired to commit violence.
Friday morning’s Good Morning America broadcast on ABC treated the rioters with kid gloves. Despite setting cars on fire, looting businesses and throwing bottles and rocks at police, ABC’s James Longman simply called them “protesters” instead of the more accurate “rioters” or “looters.” Not to mention that no political affiliation was ascribed to them. From watching ABC’s report alone, the viewer would have a hard time understanding who the “protesters” were and what exactly they were protesting. The only hint comes at the end of Longman’s report, which finally calls them “anti-capitalist” but frames their actions around Trump:
“Anti-capitalist protests always target G20 meetings but this year the stakes are higher than ever as President Trump comes to town,” Longman urged.
If it wasn’t clear already what ABC was implying, Longman repeated this sentiment again in his report the next hour of Good Morning America:
“It’s unclear who was provoking who but I think it’s fair to say that with Donald Trump in town, the stakes are certainly higher.”
Too bad George W. Bush isn’t around any more, they could blame him, too.

White supremacists aren’t the only group of people who oppose mixed-race relationships. Writing for the Univision-owned feminist website Jezebel, Aditi Natasha Kini says she’s “tired of watching brown men fall in love with white women onscreen.”
O.J., call your parole officer.
The Jezebel writer argues that while it’s progress to see Asian men getting the girl for once, and for Asian men to finally be cast in leading roles instead of supporting ones, she claims that the medium centers “white women as the love interest – a concept which, in the complex hierarchy of power and race in America, pays lip-service to the one notion that has shaped the history of South Asian and American culture alike: Whiteness as the ultimate desire, the highest goal in defining oneself as American.”
The argument is an ahistorical view that erases the existence of non-white female leads in movies like the 2002 James Bond movie “Die Another Day,” featuring Halle Berry; the 1996 Arnold Schwarzenegger film “Eraser,” starring Vanessa Williams; and “The Bodyguard” in 1992, which starred Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston.
Only in one-drop Democrat America would Halle Berry, Vanessa Williams, and Whitney Houston be considered ‘black’.

Roughly 500 restaurants in Florida, New York and California now have the automated ordering stations, and restaurants in Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C., will be outfitted in 2017, according to CNNMoney.
Customers place their order at touch screens and receive a number with a “digital locator,” which then notifies staff to where the customer is sitting. Once the order is ready to serve, an employee delivers the food to the customer’s table.
