Chinese-Owned Trailer Park Near US Stealth Bomber Base Linked to Suspicious Vancouver Activity

12th November 2025

Read it.

A sprawling U.S. investigative report has placed a Richmond, B.C., couple already identified in a high-profile Chinese-diaspora repression case at the center of an even more explosive national-security controversy south of the border: they are linked to a web of shell companies that own a trailer park beside Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri — home to the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber and launch point for the June 2025 strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The same couple are named in B.C. court filings and appear in video evidence from a saga outside Vancouver journalist Bingchen Gao’s home, where activists aligned with Miles Guo — a New York–based tycoon with reported Chinese intelligence ties — staged repeated demonstrations in a siege-like campaign.

Taken together, the property records unearthed by the Daily Caller News Foundation, along with court and corporate documents reviewed by The Bureau to verify the American reporting, outline a cross-border pattern of potential Chinese state activity, echoing past cases of high-profile actors using Vancouver as a base for operations into the United States.

*sigh* ACTVITIES CANNOT BE SUSPICIOUS! People are suspicious; activities are suspect.

The world is going to the dogs….

How AI Is Supercharging Scientific Fraud

12th November 2025

Read it.

Academics and cybersecurity professionals warn that a wave of fake scientific research created with artificial intelligence (AI) is quietly slipping past plagiarism checks and into the scholarly record. This phenomenon puts the future credibility of scientific research at risk by amplifying the long-running industry of “paper-mill” fraud, experts say.

Academic paper mills—fake organizations that profit from falsified studies and authorship—have plagued scholars for years and AI is now acting as a force multiplier.

Some experts believe structural changes are needed, not just better plagiarism checkers, to solve the problem.

The scope of the problem is staggering, with more than 10,000 research papers retracted globally in 2023, according to Nature Portfolio.

Mamdani Era: The Democrat Party Is Changing Rapidly

11th November 2025

The Foundry.

One year since President Donald Trump swept the swing states in the 2024 election, Democrats are starting to find their footing again. New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old self-identified socialist, appears to have breathed new life into the party.

One of the biggest questions for national Democrats in the last few months has been whether they will endorse Mamdani.

Young, highly critical of the Israeli government, and enthusiastic about government intervention such as city-run grocery stores and rent freezes, he won over 50% of the vote in America’s largest city.

The Hidden World War

11th November 2025

World War III is already underway, but most people don’t recognize it because they’re conditioned to expect war to look like traditional physical violence with bombs, guns, and battlefield confrontations.

This bias stems from centuries of warfare taking a particular form, similar to how people once couldn’t conceive of light without fire until electricity was invented.

The Fall of New York City in 8 Charts

9th November 2025

Read it.

How did an Islamist socialist who posed with an unindicted terror bombing coconspirator become elected to head a city of terror survivors, the “most Jewish city in America” and how did he defeat an Italian-American political dynasty in what was once an Italian-American city?

Because that New York City, the one people imagine from movies, no longer exists.

In 1989, the last year of Mayor Ed Koch’s administration, Jews outnumbered Muslims roughly 4 to 1. By 2013, the last year of Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration, the number of Muslims had doubled and the number of Jews continued to drop.

The Ukrainian Turncoat General Bombing His Own People

9th November 2025

The Telegraph (UK).

His name is not often spoken among the Ukrainian troops defending the shattered city of Kupiansk, but it is well known.
Lt Gen Sergei Storozhenko, the commander of Russia’s 6th Combined Arms Army, is probably the highest-ranking Ukrainian defector waging war against his homeland.

He grew up in a village a two-hour drive west of the city upon which he is now laying siege.

His mission is to recapture the vital stronghold on the north-eastern fringe of Ukraine’s front line, which has been under attack for two years. Occupied in the first months of the war and liberated in September 2022, Ukraine is desperate to prevent it falling for a second time.

If captured, it will act as Russia’s gateway into the wider region, threatening key supply lines and allowing Vladimir Putin’s forces to advance towards the bigger prize of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city.

So many Russian men have been killed in the pursuit that Ukrainian war bloggers have joked that the 50-year-old traitor is either on their side, or might as well be.

Reeves Facing Revolt Over Income Tax Raid That Will Hit NHS and Teachers

9th November 2025

The Telegraph (UK).

Rachel Reeves is “fighting for her political survival” as she prepares to raise taxes on millions of workers in a manifesto-breaking Budget, Labour MPs have warned.

A rising number of the Chancellor’s backbenchers are criticising her, saying she is “running out of road” and that her Budget will “go down like a bucket of sick”.

Other Labour MPs have started to go on the record with their criticisms, saying Ms Reeves will be “lucky to be here by Christmas”.

On Friday, the Chancellor told the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) that she planned to raise income tax in the Budget.
She is considering a 2p increase to income tax, which will be offset by a 2p cut to National Insurance (NI), allowing her to argue that “working people” are being protected.

But it has since been reported that the NI cut would apply only to those earning less than £50,270 – meaning a significant tax rise for millions of middle earners.

This includes 283,000 NHS staff, 137,000 teachers as well as police officers, pharmacists and train drivers, according to a Telegraph analysis.

The British government has less scope to simply print money as the U.S. government typically does in such situations.

Germany’s Hydrogen Dream Becomes A $9 Billion Yearly Black Hole

8th November 2025

Read it.

The German Federal Audit Office (Bundesrechnungshof) has dismantled the government’s hydrogen strategy. Neither on the supply side nor on the demand side do the results even remotely align with the ambitious political targets. Germany faces yet another subsidy ruin.

Berlin is in a state of hangover. The ongoing economic crisis is mercilessly exposing the delusions of the so-called green transformation. After the collapse of battery production – think of subsidy ruins like Northvolt – the retreat of industry from “green steel,” and the failure of the energy transition under the weight of wind and solar, which have become bottomless subsidy pits, the next major project is now under heavy attack: the hydrogen strategy.

Supermarket Billionaire Threatens to Cut Workforce, Move to Florida After Mamdani’s Win

8th November 2025

Forbes, a Voice of the Crust.

New York City supermarket billionaire John Catsimatidis went nuclear in June, when Zohran Mamdani, who had proposed opening a cheap city-run grocery story in each of the five boroughs, won the democratic primary for mayor. Catsimatidis held a press conference with Bodega owners; publicly threatened to shut down his 30-plus stores if the democratic socialist won the election; and ranted on TV. “He’s not qualified… this is silly,” he said on FOX News, comparing Mamdani to Fidel Castro. “It’s one big con game.”

He also called President Trump, who publicly backed his friend. “[Mamdani] actually wants to take over the grocery stores of John Catsimatidis, who’s a great guy, a rich guy,” Trump said of his buddy, whose net worth Forbes pegs at $4.8 billion, “He actually called me the other day, he’s concerned his stores are going to be taken from him, and they won’t be run like John runs them, believe me, he runs a good operation.”

Now that Mamdani has been elected, Catsimatidis is once again agitating. “I think a lot of business people are reducing their exposure to New York City,” he tells Forbes. Catsimatidis—whose $7.8 billion (revenue) Red Apple Group also owns a Pennsylvania oil refinery, some 400 convenience stores and a portfolio of real estate stretching from New York to Florida—had been looking to move Red Apple’s headquarters to New Jersey if Mamdani became mayor. He changed his mind after Tuesday’s election. “New Jersey didn’t go the right way,” he says—after the state resoundingly elected Democrat Mikie Sherrill as governor. Now, he’s looking for “friendly states” to relocate operations, with Florida being the most likely candidate. “The key word is a common sense place to do business in,” explains Catsimatidis.

America’s Future: Food Stamp Riots And Communism?

8th November 2025

Read it.

There’s a lot of black-pilling Republicans out there this week after a handful of elections in the northeastern US led to “sweeping” Democrat victories in New York, New Jersey and Virginia. As is always the case whenever Republicans lose any race no matter how insignificant to the bigger picture, suddenly the sky is falling and doom is about to come crashing down on America for all eternity. The panic has become quite tiresome.

Keep in mind, the gloom is limited mostly to social media and is exacerbated by a few hundred conservative influencers. As usual, these people still don’t realize that the social media world is not the real world.

If you were shocked by someone like Zohran Mamdani winning the mayor’s race in New York for example, then you have not been paying any attention to what’s been happening in blue cities lately. I predicted that liberals would turn out in droves to vote for the guy back in July.

Vienna Schools See Surge in Violence Suspensions

Nearly 800 students were suspended from Vienna’s schools in 2024, with more than 600 cases linked to violent behavior, according to new data. Police were called to intervene in almost 600 of these incidents, more than double the number recorded in 2015.

Children can be excluded from school for up to four weeks if they pose a risk to others, and from 2026, mandatory supervision will be introduced for students who have been suspended. However, many teachers warn that the measure may come too late.

Education officials link the surge in violence to wider social tensions, language barriers and cultural conflicts. Nearly 45% of Vienna’s first-graders reportedly lack adequate German language skills.

The Ban On Ricky Gervais’ Billboard Saying “Welcome To London, Don’t Forget Your Stab Vest” Shows We Are No Longer Free

6th November 2025

Read it.

Last week, Britain’s comedy treasure, Ricky Gervais, took to social media to rant about how his proposed billboards for Dutch Barn Vodka had been rejected.

Each banner featured a dark but hilarious slogan that would have inevitably won the applause of Britain’s disillusioned masses.

Its rejected lines include:

  • “Dutch Barn, drugs this good are usually illegal.”
  • “Dutch Barn, your tube driver’s favourite drink in the morning.”
  • “Dutch Barn, one day you’ll be underground for good.”

Ironically, the slogan to cause the most amusement of all among social media followers was the following:

  • “Welcome to London, don’t forget your stab vest.”

Brits particularly appreciated this version as it bravely stood as a dark, tongue-in-cheek nod to Britain’s knife-crime epidemic.

Italy: Foreigners Commit 43% of Sexual Crimes, 60% of Robberies and Thefts

6th November 2025

Read it.

In yet another example of the massive foreign crime wave engulfing Europe, new data shows that foreigners in Italy are vastly overrepresented in violent crimes and predatory crimes such as robbery and sexual assault.

The 2024 data shows that a significant number of arrests in Italy are targeting foreigners, making up 34.7 percent of arrests.

However, when it comes to more serious predatory crimes, the figure is much higher. For public street robberies, foreign make up 60.1 percent of suspects and for robberies in total, it is 52.3 percent. Foreigners are responsible for 61 percent of burglaries, and 69 percent of pickpocketing cases, according to new crime data analyzed by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24.

For sexual assault, foreigners are responsible for 43 percent of all such cases.

This is despite foreigners making up only a small share of the Italian population. According to the Ismu Ets report, as of Jan. 1, 2024, there were 5.7 million foreign people in Italy. Of these, 5.3 million were residents, making up 9 percent of the Italian population. This is compared to 8.2 percent in 2014.

Not expected to feel any improvement until at least two rounds. Might actually feel worse in the short run.

1/3 chance of miraculous improvement. (Cleared of tumors but not “cured”)

1/3 chance things get worse.

Synergistic with Dr. Soon-Shioh’s approach. Pluvicto attacks tumors with precision. His approach tunes your body’s natural defenses, and that could mop up what is left, in the best case scenario. And if the Pluvicto doesn’t work, the bodily defenses approach can potentially get the whole job done.

The Fourth Branch

4th November 2025

Read it.

Since the framers of the Constitution created a federal government with three branches, not four, there are no Constitutional checks on the emergent fourth branch.

Currently, the fourth branch is in many ways the most powerful, and certainly the most destructive, arm of the government.

All of this creates a Red Queen Effect.

Citizens must establish their own organizations, and raise donations to engage in constant lawfare, just to retain the rights they haven’t lost yet. And they must win every time to maintain the status quo.

Bureaucrats, on the other hand, can fight endless legal battles using money taken from their victims by the IRS, at no cost to themselves. Any victory they claim, they may keep permanently, while any loss may be refought endlessly simply by a slight variance of the attack.

Obviously, if this system is not changed, all power will accrue to the bureaucracy over time. They will constitute a totalitarian authority over every aspect of the life of every citizen.

The union representing writers at Teen Vogue is slamming the youth-focused publication’s merger with the Vogue website and raising concerns about impacts on staff diversity and political coverage.

In a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, Condé United and parent union The NewsGuild of New York said they “strongly condemn Condé Nast’s consolidation plans for Teen Vogue.” The labor groups claim the move was “clearly designed to blunt the award-winning magazine’s insightful journalism at a time when it is needed the most.”

Teen Vogue is aimed at teenage girls. Apparently they are a prime progressive demographic. (I wonder how many male staff members they have? I doubt that there are any. So much for Diversity and Inclusion.)

Nearly a Million New Yorkers Ready To flee NYC if Mamdani Becomes Mayor — Possibly Igniting Largest Exodus in History: Poll

3rd November 2025

New York Post.

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are prepared to bolt from the Big Apple if socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani wins Tuesday’s mayoral race — potentially setting the stage for the largest population flight in US history, an alarming new poll warned early Monday.

Around 765,000 people of the 8.4 million residents who call New York City home are preparing to leave, with about 9% of New Yorkers sharing that they would “definitely” leave the city if Mamdani is elected the 111th mayor, the Daily Mail reported, citing a survey conducted by J.L. Partners.

If those residents were to leave, it would be equal to the population of Washington, DC, Las Vegas, or Seattle fleeing the city.

Another 25% of New Yorkers — about 2.12 million — said they would “consider” packing up and leaving.

On Thursday, Brennan participated in some sort of conference, during which he was questioned by a guy who was in the office of the Director of National Intelligence and was involved in the intelligence work surrounding purported “Russian influence” in the 2020 election. The questioner didn’t get far, as Brennan just kept saying “bullshit,” even though what the questioner said was correct. The crowd was on Brennan’s side, and the moderator moved on.

The ObamaCare Blue-City Bailout

3rd November 2025

Wall Street Journal.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel of Chicago was scrambling to close a $369 million deficit in 2013. The inception of ObamaCare offered an enticing target for cost shaving: retiree health coverage.

The city expected to spend $194 million that year subsidizing health insurance for its retirees, many of whom were too young to qualify for Medicare. Such costs were projected to increase to $540 million by 2023 at the same time as pension payments were ballooning. While courts in Illinois and other states have held that public employee pensions are legally protected, governments have more latitude to make changes to medical benefits.

So Mr. Emanuel dumped his city’s retirees onto the nascent ObamaCare exchanges, where federal subsidies can reduce premium payments. Voilà, Chicago’s $2.1 billion unfunded retiree healthcare liability vanished. Now U.S. taxpayers pick up the tab for Chicago’s retirees in their 50s and early 60s.

Chicago isn’t alone in trying this neat fiscal trick. Detroit, Stockton, Calif., and San Bernardino, Calif., also saved billions by shifting pre-Medicare retirees to ObamaCare when they filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy in the 2010s. That minimized cuts to workers’ compensation and pensions. Detroit’s $170 million annual retiree healthcare bill made up nearly 20% of its general fund budget, one of the city’s biggest costs.

Other municipalities may move retirees to ObamaCare to avoid layoffs and tax hikes. ObamaCare could soon became a safety valve for underwater cities.

Enter Democrats in Congress, who are refusing to reopen the government unless Republicans agree to extend the pandemic-era ObamaCare subsidies that are set to expire at the end of the year. The news is filled with stories of people who will have to pay modestly more for their insurance, never mind that the feds would still pick up roughly 80% of the cost for a typical plan.

The reality is that extending the sweetened subsidies will encourage more states and cities to follow the lead of Chicago, shifting the healthcare costs of their young retirees to national taxpayers. It’s a backdoor bailout.

Mainstream Continues Turning on Zelensky, as Politico Documents ‘Dark Side’ of His Rule

3rd November 2025

Read it.

As we’ve for many months been documenting, the Western mainstream media continues the trend of turning on Ukraine, and on President Zelensky in particular, now that it’s clear that ‘victory’ against Russia will not be a reality. It seems that every time Ukraine’s military suffers major setback and defeat at a strategic location in the east – as is again unfolding currently – the unusually ‘negative’ MSM articles suddenly appear.

It wasn’t very long ago, and especially during the opening couple years of war, the MSM treated any criticisms of Zelensky or the Ukrainian Army as totally off-limits. This was the comically absurd era of concert halls in Europe canceling famous classical Russian ballads, or op-eds calling for reading courses to ban Dostoevsky. But fast-forward to late 2025 and Politico is out with a story entitled The dark side of Zelenskyy’s rule.

The story documents how Ukrainian society, and especially what’s left of the ‘accepted opposition’ (after long ago Zelensky banned all opposition political parties deemed too ‘pro-Russian’ in a country where some one-third of the population has Russian as their first language) is slowly turning on the US/EU-backed leader.

Instead of calling them ‘conspiracy theories’ we ought to call them ‘spoiler alerts’.

The Perverse Consequences of Tuition-Free Medical School

2nd November 2025

The Atlantic, a Voice of the Crust.

Six years ago, the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, in Manhattan, announced that it would become tuition-free for all students. The change was made possible in part thanks to a $100 million donation from Kenneth Langone, a Home Depot co-founder, and his wife, Elaine. “It would enable graduates to pick lower-paying fields like primary care and pediatrics, where more good doctors are desperately needed, without overwhelming debt to force them out,” Kenneth said in an interview at the time. In a triumphant report, the school declared, “The ultimate success of this tuition-free initiative will be measured over time by the clinical and research achievements of future graduates, as well as the improvements in diversity of the physician ranks.”

You might ask yourself why medical education is so damned expensive. It didn’t used to be.

The school’s shift to a tuition-free model has no doubt been a tremendous boon to those students fortunate enough to gain admission. But judged against the standards set out by the Langones and NYU itself, the initiative has been a failure. The percentage of NYU medical students who went into primary care was about the same in 2017 and 2024, according to an analysis by Chuck Dinerstein, the medical director at the American Council on Science and Health. The locations of the hospitals where students do their residencies—often a clue about where they will end up practicing long-term—also remained essentially unchanged. And although applications from underrepresented minority students increased by 102 percent after the school went tuition-free, the proportion of Black students declined slightly over the following years, according to data from the Association of American Medical Colleges and provided by Jared Boyce, a medical student at the University of Wisconsin. (The share of Latino students grew by a few percentage points.) Perhaps most alarming of all, doing away with tuition appears to have made the student body wealthier: The percentage of incoming students categorized as “financially disadvantaged” fell from 12 percent in 2017 to 3 percent in 2019.

Not many people become doctors to take low-pay jobs, and the ones that do will do that anyway. Most people become doctors because doctors can make big bucks. The reason for that is artificial government and professional restrictions on residency programs, which limit the number of doctors every year to about half of what we really need. That’s why so many “American” doctors are foreigners; foreign medical schools are dirt cheap compared to American ones.

Time to Curb the Violence

1st November 2025

Read it.

Even back to the days of Charles Manson, a violent cult leader, there were pockets of people who cheered and reveled in violence. But all too common today are the groupies who adulate the CEO killer, the social media maven who praises the assassination of Charlie Kirk, or the miscreant who says they wish presidential assassins had been successful.

In today’s social-media fueled world, every heinous act of violence spawns a great majority of people of condemn it and a smaller counter-reaction of people who cheer it and call for more. Maybe this was always the case, but those who supported such violence could not as easily band together as they can today. Social media allows the violence lovers to find like-minded individuals, legitimizing their response, further encouraging future violence.

Kirk held no elected office. His only weapons were words and open debate. Despite this, nearly one in five Americans shockingly declared in surveys that his assassination was justified, according to a Harvard CAPS Harris poll. The path to such thoughts is clear. The opposition on the left characterized Kirk’s positions as “hate” despite his willingness to debate anyone anywhere. Once his speech was then characterized as violence – the resultant deadly violence became justified.

Grounded by Bureaucracy: Another Wake-Up Call to Privatize Air Traffic Control

31st October 2025

Read it.

When air traffic control is held hostage by federal budget fights, American travelers lose.

The shutdown-induced mess at U.S. airports demonstrates yet another consequence of leaving our skies in the hands of a politically driven, budget-dependent, and inefficient government bureaucracy.

The most recent bout of massive flight delays and cancellations is the result of the government shutdown, which has caused an indefinite delay in the paychecks of government-employed air traffic controllers—prompting many of them to decide not to show up to work.

But even before that, America’s antiquated air traffic control systems were costing Americans thousands of years of lost time due to flight delays and cancellations. Those ordinary delays and cancellations amount to billions of dollars in costs annually.

On top of that, inefficiencies limit the supply of flights, resulting in higher overall prices. Meanwhile, failing U.S. air traffic control infrastructure is causing communication outages, risking passenger safety.

Socialism in action. Your entire life run by the DMV.

What Happened to Bill Kristol?

31st October 2025

The New Neo.

First, a disclaimer: I don’t have the definitive answer. Second: why would I care? I guess it’s because I’m interested in what makes people tick, and especially interested in political change. Most such change goes from left to right. But someone like Kristol – who was thought to be a leading conservative thinker for many years, and who much later in life changed from supposedly right to effectively left – is of some interest.

Contempt? Yes. Interest? No.

What made me think of him today was this Instapundit post mentioning that Kristol has come out for Mamdani, and asking, “Did @BillKristol ever believe anything he said he did for decades?” My answer: it depends on what you mean by the word believe.”

Let me add that I was slightly acquainted with Kristol, having met him perhaps twice – one time of which involved sitting very near him at a table of about eight people, for a dinner after a talk he gave. I also wrote for the online Weekly Standard for some years, and would submit articles to him (the articles still exist, with format somewhat strained, at this URL at the Washington Examiner, in case you’re interested in ancient history). My observation is that he certainly appeared to believe what he was saying, although his personality wasn’t what you’d call intense.

Illinois Angel Dad Joe Abraham wrote an opinion piece published in the Chicago Tribune supporting the ongoing Department of Homeland Security’s immigration enforcement surge in Chicago.

His daughter, Katie Abraham, was killed by a criminal illegal alien in a hit-and-run crash. The DHS Chicago enforcement program, “Operation Midway Blitz,” was launched in Katie Abraham’s honor.

Joe Abraham opened his commentary by remembering his daughter: “She made people feel seen and valued. Then her life was stolen by a criminal immigrant in the country illegally.”

What Did Rachel Reeves Do? Labour Faces Questions Over Rental House

31st October 2025

The Times (UK).

What is it about Labour ministers and property? First, the homelessness minister was forced to quit after evicting her tenants so she could put up the rent. Then Angela Rayner, the housing secretary at the time, was effectively sacked by Sir Keir Starmer for avoiding paying stamp duty on a flat in Brighton.

Now it is Rachel Reeves, the chancellor, who is embroiled in controversy after it emerged she had failed to get a licence to rent out her old family home when she entered Downing Street. So what is the latest scandal all about — and how serious is the political fallout for the chancellor?

The Labour Party seems to have the same corruption problem that the Democrats do. I suppose that, when virtue-signaling is standing in for actual virtue. such events are inevitable.

Why Aren’t We Talking About the Real Reason Male College Enrollment Is Dropping?

30th October 2025

Read it.

What has changed is an increase in girls.

White flight is a term that describes how white people move out of neighborhoods when more people of color move in. White flight is especially common when minority populations become the majority. That neighborhood then declines in value.

Male flight describes a similar phenomenon when large numbers of females enter a profession, group, hobby or industry—the men leave. That industry is then devalued.

It’s a slippery slope. When the number of women hits 60% the men who are there make a swift exit and other men stop joining.

Survey: Increased Palestinian Support for October 7th Hamas Attacks

30th October 2025

Read it.

Palestinian support for Hamas’s October 7th invasion of Israel has risen, with 44% of Gazans now viewing the terrorist attack as “correct,” up seven points since May. In Judea and Samaria, backing for the deadliest single-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust remains at 59%.

On October 7th, 2023, the terror group Hamas invaded Israel, killing approximately 1,200 civilians, wounding thousands, and kidnapping 251—a brutal attack initially condemned worldwide (prior to backsliding in European capitals).

The poll, conducted by the Ramallah-based Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) between October 22nd and 25th, involved 1,200 Palestinians. It found that 41% favor “armed struggle”—a reference to terrorist activity—as the most effective means to achieve statehood.

There are no “civilians” in Gaza.

Canadian Scientist’s Secret Work on Wuhan Bat Virus Could Have Caused Covid, New Revelations in Book

30th October 2025

Read it.

In his new book Under Assault, historian and former Canadian national security analyst Dennis Molinaro uncovers evidence that Chinese-Canadian scientist Dr. Xiangguo Qiu secretly collaborated on a 2019 Wuhan “bat filovirus” research project that some Western intelligence agencies — including the CIA, with varying degrees of confidence — assess to have likely caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

While The Bureau has previously reported on Qiu’s links to Wuhan’s “Batwoman,” Shi Zhengli, Molinaro’s findings — drawn from redacted CSIS records, open-source intelligence, and parliamentary disclosures — take the case significantly further, situating Qiu’s compromise within the broader escalation of Chinese intelligence collection in Canada since 2000, and highlighting Ottawa’s conspicuous lack of capacity — or will — to enforce against Beijing’s incursions.

California’s Retirement Fund Lost 71% of $468M Investment in Clean Energy and Won’t Say How

30th October 2025

Read it.

The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) lost roughly 71% of its $468 million investment in a clean-energy and technology private equity fund – and won’t explain how. The losses highlight growing concerns about the pension giant’s private equity strategy, which relies heavily on opaque, illiquid investments and leaves taxpayers ultimately on the hook.

According to state records analyzed by the Center Square, the CalPERS Clean Energy & Technology Fund (CETF), launched in 2007, has seen its value fall from a total commitment of $468.4 million to $138 million as of March 31, 2025. That represents a loss of more than $330 million, even after paying $22 million in fees and costs to private equity managers.

CalPERS’ overall returns for fiscal 2024–2025 were 11.6%, with public equities returning 16.8% and private equity 14.3%. The similar performance between the two asset classes has raised questions about whether the complexity and cost of private equity are worth it.

Time to leave.

Migrant Sex Offender: I Tried to Hand Myself in but Police Ignored Me

30th October 2025

The Telegraph (UK)

A migrant sex offender has claimed he tried to hand himself in to police after being mistakenly released from prison but was ignored by officers.

Hadush Kebatu, 41, told Sky News he approached police officers on the morning after his release from HMP Chelmsford, told them who he was and asked to be taken to a police station but claimed he was ignored.

He made his claims in an interview with Sky News on his arrival back in Ethiopia on Wednesday morning after being deported from the UK on an overnight flight.

It came after it emerged that Kebatu had been paid £500 by the Home Office to take the deportation flight after threatening to lodge an asylum claim to block his removal.

Kebatu, who was jailed for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old, was wrongly released from HMP Chelmsford on Friday instead of being transferred to a immigration removal centre, leading to a 48-hour police manhunt.

As we observe National First Responders Day, let us honor those who protect us every day—and give extra support to those with the courage to reestablish law and order while confronting defiance, violent discord, and even domestic terrorism.

A coordinated, dark money-funded far-left movement is targeting and attacking one law enforcement agency in particular: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In doing so, it’s jeopardizing the lives of ICE officers.

Federal prosecutors have charged violent rioters for attacking law enforcement in urban areas across the nation.
