It has been about a week since the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media (WGSPM) published a leaked internal document from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) investigation into an alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria last year. The document, whose authenticity the OPCW has confirmed, contends that the official story which was used to justify an air strike by the US, UK and France about poison gas being dropped on civilians from Syrian government helicopters is scientifically implausible, saying “In summary, observations at the scene of the two locations, together with subsequent analysis, suggest that there is a higher probability that both cylinders were manually placed at those two locations rather than being delivered from aircraft.”
I love the smell of conspiracy in the morning.

If the presidential candidacy of Mayor de Blasio has any hope (and it does not), it is because Americans have stopped looking for leadership and started looking for mascots.
Dopey Twitter war with Eric Trump? Half-understood and half-serious “Green New Deal” promises? That is what modern presidential campaigns are made of.

If you consume the mainstream media, you might be under the impression that President Trump is about to take the U.S. into war with Iran. Even if you only watch Fox News, you might believe that John Bolton is pushing Trump to go to war. Tucker Carlson says that Bolton wants a war with Iran.
This is fake news. There’s no evidence that Bolton desires a war with Iran and none that, even if this were what Bolton wants, Trump would be willing to start such a war.
Even Fox News is merely the best of a bad lot. Most of the talking heads in Washington are pretending that they can read the minds of Trump and his administration’s officials in order to report what they ‘want’ and ‘desire’ and ‘secretly yearn for’, and it’s all bullshit. There is NO official in Trump’s administration that can ‘make’ him do anything; if nothing else, the last two years have demonstrated that conclusively. That being true, what inferior officials ‘want’ is of no consequence, even if (which I doubt) the Chattering Class had some way of discerning that beyond their own fantasies.

Steve Sailer looks at the ‘news’.
Why do those horrible white males suffer the delusion that anybody intends to do them harm as their political power wanes? Where could they possibly come up with such a paranoid fantasy? I mean, besides from reading Charles Blow columns in the New York Times, who comes across like Stalin denouncing capitalist wreckers sabotaging the Dictatorship of the Proletariat in 1937. Whites will maintain their Emmanuel Goldstein-role forever.
Proglodytes need for there always to be a crisis that will justify their extreme measures to ‘fix’ it.

The great pundit James Bowman recently said, “The biggest mistake conservatives make is to suppose that Democrats control the media. In fact, the power relationship is the other way around: The media control the Democrats.” His remark sheds light on the convulsions going on in the Democratic Party right now. There’s a power struggle in the media for who will set the agenda and issue orders. The resulting confusion is trickling down to Democrat politicians, who aren’t sure how and to whom they’re supposed to submit these days.
Scott Adams is fond of making this observation as well. Politicians need exposure if they’re going to win elections, and therefore their constituency isn’t really the voters but rather the media outlets upon whom they depend for that exposure (rather like doctors — they’re customers aren’t their patients but rather insurance companies and governments).
Seen any news about Joe Biden lately, even though he’s leading in the polls? No? That’s because the Media Hive have decided that he’s not a viable candidate against Trump, so they’re going to ignore him and focus on other candidates.

Reporters today believe that their coverage serves higher agendas of social justice, identity politics, “equality,” and diversity. To the degree a news account is expanded or ignored, praised or blasted, depends on its supposed utility to the effort to fundamentally transform the country into something unlike its founding.

Much of journalism is now alarmist clickbait or fearmongering. To attract viewers and readers, reporters make it seem like Nazis and white supremacists are everywhere.
Well, that’s how they get their money. As long as that’s the case, that’s what we’re gonna see.
