German Media Report That Current Frigid Weather Can Be Explained by Arctic Warming!

12th January 2026

Read it.

Germany’s online Frankfurter Rundschau (FR) just published an article titled: “Why the cold winter is no evidence against warming.”

The article explains why severe winters in Germany do not contradict global warming. The core argument lies in the distinction between weather (short-term events) and climate (long-term trends). That of course gets ignored by the media when there’s a hot summer day.

Experts, the FR reports, emphasize that a single cold winter is merely a statistical fluctuation, while the global trend points upward. “Weather is what you see outside; climate is the statistics over a long period of time,” the FR reports. “A cold winter does nothing to change the long-term warming trend.”

Apple News Reaches New Milestone, Suppressing Right-Leaning Outlets to Close Out 2025

9th January 2026

Newsbusters.

Apple News failed to link to a single right-leaning media outlet among its top 20 daily articles during the month of December. Out of the 620 opportunities analyzed at approximately 10:00 a.m. each day by the Media Research Center, Apple News whiffed every single time.

Instead, dozens of times Apple News published articles from leftist outlets like The Washington Post, NBC News and NPR and center outlets like Reuters, The Wall Street Journal and the BBC.

You have to go all the way back to Nov. 5 of last year to find the last time Apple News deigned to link to a single right-leaning site. That story was from British outlet The Telegraph covering the atrocities taking place in Sudan: “In Sudan’s genocide, Only Those Who Pay Survive.” Ironically, Apple hid the article behind the Apple News+ paywall and only paid subscribers could read the full article.

NPR Anchor Inskeep: Much Evidence of Our Liberal Bias Is ‘Imaginary’

6th January 2026

Newsbusters.

As you should expect, NPR Morning Edition anchor Steve Inskeep is a cheerleader for his “news” network. On his Substack page came a titled “Public radio may be stronger in 2026.”

Inskeep objected to a recent puff piece on NPR’s CEO by Benjamin Mullin in The New York Times, as it discussed the “terrible blow” of losing taxpayer funding, the system is “far weaker overall.” Inskeep argued his visits to local stations didn’t match that verdict, and insisted that internal ratings reports suggested his show was up a million listeners last spring. But the part about NPR’s bias was ludicrous:

All you need to do is look at what they cover and what they ignore. The bias is obvious.

Does the Supreme Court Favor the Rich?

6th January 2026

Eugene Volokh.

Today’s New York Times reports on a new study by three economists purporting to show that the Supreme Court’s decisions are increasingly tilted toward the interests of the rich, and suggesting that this may play a role in rising economic inequality.

The study, “Ruling for the Rich: The Supreme Court Over Time,” by Andrea Prat, Fiona Scott Morton, and Jacob Spitz, was posted as an NBER working paper, and has not yet been peer-reviewed or (to my knowledge) accepted anywhere for publication. But that did not stop it from getting a the full-article treatment in the NYT.

Having looked at the study, I don’t think it does much of anything to reliably substantiate its claims. It is both conceptually muddled and poorly executed. At most it shows that (surprise!) Republican Supreme Court nominees have become more conservative over time (a point I made to the Times), but that is hardly a revelation.

Of course, to the New York Times (and other Voices of the Crust), anything that ‘favors the rich’, whether deserved or not, whether benefitting the country or not, is to be deplored.

Will the National Media Record How Mamdani’s Socialism Works in Their Home Town?

3rd January 2026

Newsbusters.

“Democratic socialist” Zohran Mamdani has been sworn in as the Mayor of America’s biggest city. The city that is famously home to the capitalism of Wall Street and all manner of millionaires and zillionaires, not to mention hard working, everyday Americans. And yes, New York is also the home of “legacy media” like the three broadcast TV networks, PBS, The New York Times and The New York Post et al.

Now it’s put up or shut up time for American socialists. With the “legacy media” on the scene to record the results.

Mayor Mamdani, whether he likes it or not, is now going to be under the media microscope if for no other reason then that it’s right there in New York watching the Mayor everyday. If socialism is the success Mamdani and his fellow Bernie Sanders-style Democrats insist, the media both — in New York and nationally — can be counted on to spread the word.

And if Mamdani’s socialist “solutions” crash and burn? However much the legacy media may want to downplay it, the woes of socialism will out.

ABC Celebrates Mamdani’s Inauguration & ‘Ambitious Progressive Agenda’

3rd January 2026

Newsbusters.

On Friday, ABC’s Good Morning America celebrated a new chapter in their hometown politics of New York City: the inauguration of far-left extremist Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The network couldn’t hide their excitement as fill-in anchor and chief White house correspondent Mary Bruce pivoted away from a deadly Swiss night club fire, with a huge smile on her face to talk about the communist mayor. Of course, there was also mention of his controversial comment.

“And now to a new era in New York City. Zoran Mamdani is sworn in as mayor on Thursday,” Bruce beamed, parroting Mamdani’s “new era” slogan. “The 34-year-old is the first Muslim and first person of South Asian descent to lead the nation’s largest city.”

While ABC had called President Trump’s plans ‘controversial,’ that wasn’t tone given to Mamdani’s despite widespread concern. “The new mayor’s first act involved affordable housing, just part of an ambitious progressive agenda that Mamdani insists will set an example for the world,” touted correspondent Aaron Katersky.

Bias? What bias?

As Mamdani Rises in New York, San Francisco Turns Away From the Left

3rd January 2026

Politico, a Voice of the Crust.

If Zohran Mamdani represents the rise of progressive politics in America, San Francisco is fast becoming the deflating counterpoint for the left.

It isn’t just that liberal lion Nancy Pelosi is on her way out or that moderate Democrats, backed by wealthy tech investors, have trounced the left in election after election over the last five years. It’s that San Francisco progressives who have been lost in a fog here — paying the price for voters’ frustrations over street conditions, homelessness and a drug addiction epidemic — have seen liberals in another big city suddenly supplant them.

At a series of meetings organized by socialists and other progressive groups here in recent months, the contrast with New York hung over the gatherings, stirring a sense of envy and anger. Many in San Francisco said it feels as if their city now belongs to the billionaire class.

I’ll bet you didn’t know that there was a distinct ‘billionaire class that acts in lockstep.

Somebody tell George Soros to get with the program.

The BBC Led the League in Pushing Hamas Propaganda in 2025

2nd January 2026

Newsbusters.

It was a terrible year for the British Broadcasting Corporation, which still has such an overhyped global reputation as the gold standard for media. Several websites tagged the BBC as the worst outlet in 2025, and it wasn’t really about its mangling of Donald Trump’s January 6, 2021 speech that caused Trump to file a defamation lawsuit.

It was about the BBC’s horribly biased coverage of Israel and Gaza. Brittany Bernstein of National Review put the BBC at the top of their list of “Worst Media Misses of 2025.” The pro-Israel media watchdog Honest Reporting tagged the BBC as the “Dishonest Reporter of the Year.” And the dishonesty started early.

Both NR and Honest Reporting noted that in February, BBC executives pulled its documentary Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone after an investigative journalist found the film’s narrator Abdullah — “the emotional centerpiece of the film” — was the teenage son of a Hamas minister. Oops. And his mother had been paid by the production company responsible for the program.

Journalism, Credibility and ‘Experts’

23rd December 2025

The Other McCain.

For many years, conservatives criticized “liberal bias” in the news media, but the bias is not ideological so much as it is partisan. Most journalists seem to wake up in the morning, pour themselves a cup of coffee, and then go looking for ways to help the Democratic Party or, conversely, to hurt Republicans. Every aspect of major media coverage is shaped by this crude partisan calculus, and none of the allegedly objective journalists acting as “Democratic operatives with bylines” seem to have the slightest shame about their completely one-sided coverage.

DNA Evidence Proves “First Black Briton” Was Actually a White Girl

21st December 2025

Read it.

In 2021 the establishment media was electrified by a discovery involving the ancient remains of a woman found over a century ago near a village in East Sussex in .  The reason leftist journalists were so hyped?  A supposedly comprehensive study by “experts” in facial reconstruction had determined that the nearly 2000 year old skeleton belonged to a Sub-Saharan African person.

The remains became known as the “Beachy Head Woman” and images of her reconstructed black face circulating internationally.  This was proof, somehow, that progressives had always been right to support third world immigration.

The problem is, Beachy Head Woman is not African or black. Recently confirmed DNA evidence shows she was white with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was not a migrant, but born in ancient Britain.

Magazines Blame Israel, USA, Jews Themselves for Bondi Beach Islamic Massacre

21st December 2025

Newsbusters.

The Bondi Beach massacre of Jews celebrating Hannukah resulted in two nasty blame-the-victim pieces, one in the far-left The Nation (no surprise, considering the author) and one in Time magazine, desperately blaming everyone but the actual Islamic perpetrators of the murders.

Marching mobs in Australia called to “globalize the intifada” – to attack Jews everywhere, not just in Israel — even before Israel had begun its counterattack after October 7, when over a thousand civilians were murdered and over 200 kidnapped, some sexually assaulted, by Hamas invaders. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu correctly stated that Australia had rewarded Hamas terrorism by granting recognition to a Palestinian state without any move toward reform.

The Nation’s Dave Zirin, supposed “sports editor” of the far-left rag, spends much of his column space smearing Israel as genocidal and guilty of war crimes against the Palestinians while hardly mentioning the actual terrorists, kidnappers, and rapists of Hamas. He did so again in “Don’t Listen to the Ghouls Exploiting the Tragedy of Bondi Beach.”

Soros-Tied Anchor Who Unmasked ICE Agents DEMOTED After MRC Bombshell

20th December 2025

Newsbusters.

A radio anchor for the George Soros-controlled KCBS 740 AM “All News Radio” station who had the gall to unmask the vehicles of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating in the gang-infested San Jose, California area in January has reportedly been demoted after MRC Business took him to task.

Anchor Bret Burkhart elevated the unmasking of “undercover” ICE agents from the leftist Rapid Response Network, which fights against deportation initiatives during the January 26 edition of KCBS Radio Weekend News. To make things worse, he gave exact descriptions of the vehicles the ICE agents were reportedly using, including specific locations. NewsNation confirmed January 27 that the agents were conducting an operation in the area around that time, meaning their cover was potentially blown and they were placed in significant danger.

MRC Business immediately cut the audio and published it in an investigative report detailing the incident in addition to the radio station’s connection to Soros. In February 2024, Soros purchased $400 million, or a 40 percent stake, of the bankrupt Audacy in February 2024. Notably, Audacy, which is America’s second biggest radio company, features or streams at least 16 powerful 50,000-watt radio stations, which means that their coverage is especially widespread. KCBS 740 AM was one of the stations prominently listed in that deal. At the time, FCC bizarrely fast-tracked Soros’s purchase of the radio giant — which was also backed by foreign money — and dubiously allowed him to skirt the rigorous review process for such acquisitions.

We Have Reached the Emily Litella Moment on Climate Change

20th December 2025

Read it.

It’s been a cold winter so far in the Midwest and much of the Northeast, early-in-the-season snow even in Washington, D.C., and temperatures falling to freezing and below in much of the South. Come to think of it, North America’s 2024-25 winter was pretty cold, too. It’s gotten to the point that “polar vortex” is a phrase on just about everyone’s lips.

Of course, you are surely aware—as those of us with doubts about inevitably disastrous global warming were often told—that there’s a difference between weather and climate. Weather is anecdote, climate is longstanding trend. And the longstanding trend in climate, we have been told this entire past quarter-century, is toward a hotter climate all over the world, with multiple catastrophic consequences.

Now, we seem to have reached an Emily Litella moment—the moment when, on the now half-century-old “Saturday Night Live” program, the befuddled character realized that she had misheard and misinterpreted some anodyne comment and had been propounding an absurd theory, and dismissed it with a hurried, “Never mind.”

PBS: Family of Trans Teen Flees Texas, ‘Refugees in Their Own Country’

19th December 2025

Newsbusters.

PBS News is still riding the wrecked transgender train. One would have hoped PBS would have hopped off the discredited movement, given the increasing piles of evidence on the consequences of irrevocable “gender-affirming” operations, the lack of science backing up the emotional blackmail claims of the movement, and the departure of trans-obsessed reporter Laura Barron-Lopez.

But reporter William Brangham actually outdid Barron-Lopez in his anti-journalistic transgender-teen advocacy and euphemistic tendencies in Wednesday’s segment. There is no dissent allowed. It’s the most sensitive profile imaginable, or you can call it propaganda, an infomercial, that makes the red states sound repulsive for opposing trans “rights.”

The story is a follow-up to a 2023 story about a “transgender” male teen, now named Leah, whose family was feeling persecuted in close-minded Texas. Now they’ve moved to more tolerant Colorado, where the schools feature stories about gay teens.

We are fortunate that most ‘transgender’ surgeries result in their defective genes being removed from the gene pool. Evolution is a stone-cold bitch.

Wikipedia’s Jimmy Wales Claims No Ban on Right-Leaning Sources, Describes One Anyway

19th December 2025

Newsbusters.

Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales denied that the online encyclopedia has banned right-leaning sources, only to reference an example of that practice in the same discussion.

In a Wednesday interview with The Verge, Wales responded to growing accusations of bias and Wikipedia’s ban on sources such as Breitbart. His answer? An admission disguised as a denial: “We don’t completely ban sources. We may deprecate them and say, ‘Well, it’s not preferred as a source. We’d rather have something better.’”

Wales then went on to further minimize the impact of Wikipedia’s effective blacklist by suggesting that the list merely elevates sources like The New England Journal of Medicine over sources like Breitbart.

In reality, Wikipedia’s own “Reliable sources/Perennial sources” list proves that the platform does blacklist media organizations, including Breitbart, The Heritage Foundation and Project Veritas. Other right-leaning outlets are effectively sidelined through deprecations and usage restrictions, most of which are not imposed on left-leaning sources.

The Media Research Center has repeatedly exposed the severity and real-world impact of this blacklist, which goes far beyond prioritizing peer-reviewed journals over right-of-center news organizations.

AP Editorializes Negatively on Lower than Expected Inflation Rate

19th December 2025

Read it.

Apparently blatant editorializing in place of straight news now seems to be becoming increasingly the rule not the exception at the Associated Press.

The latest example of AP breaking its own rules against opinionating in news stories is so blatantly absurd as to be laughable. The AP on Thursday actually took the November inflation rate of 2.7% which was below the expected 3.1% and somehow turned that good news into a negative. Check the headline on AP reporters Paul Wiseman’s and Anne D’Innocenzio’s editorial poorly disguised as an article, “US says price increases eased last month but data may be distorted and Americans aren’t feeling it.”

Yes. AP can not only determine that the data might be distorted but also somehow channel the feelings of millions of Americans to report it as an absolute fact. The very negative editorializing about lower than expected inflation continues in the body of the editorial/article.

Hegseth Did What Biden Called ‘Impossible’

18th December 2025

Victor Davis Hanson.

A lot of officials in the Trump Cabinet are under a lot of criticism, as we’d expect, from the Left. But one has, I think, both got more criticism and more unfair criticism than any other Cabinet member. And that’s Pete Hegseth, the secretary of war—the newly renamed Department of Defense.

Let’s just review a little bit of his record because it does not justify the level of invective that the Left, and even some people on the Right in Congress and the Republican Party, have unfairly attacked him.

17th December 2025

By omitting the long trail of failed UN climate pronouncements, ignoring the dramatic decline in climate-related deaths, and treating speculative model outputs as inevitable futures, PBS and the Associated Press badly mislead their audience concerning the true state of the Earth.
