They’re too busy foaming at the mouth because one man who happens to be affiliated with one fast food chain uttered a personal opinion based upon his own deeply-held religious beliefs.
I believe it was Moldbug who once wrote something to the effect that if militant Islam does ever finally take over, at least there won’t be any liberals around anymore. When and if that calamity and tyrannical darkness ever does descend over the West, at least the silver lining will be sweet. We’ll see who is cavalier and dismissive about the imposition of militant Islamic law – including but not limited to the punishment of stoning – then.
Calm yourself, Denny: I said “if.” But it’s illustrative of our so-called “progressives” priorities that they are more interested in telling someone to “dream on,” rather than making a comment on point about this horrific manifestation of militant Islam in Mali. Quite telling, indeed. Go ahead and *shrug* some more for us.
Well, other than invading the place and shooting everyone in a keffiyeh, I don’t see quite what we could do about it besides hand-wringing.
What’s accomplished by pointing out how evil and depraved they are? Those qualities are self-evident.
And as long as you brought up ‘speaking on point’, the only point you made was how happy you would be if the Muslims took over and eliminated all the liberals. Hardly on topic. (BTW, all the liberty-loving conservatives would also be on the elimination list, so you your joy would be very short-lived, indeed.)

Ah, trafficking in easily-disproved falsehoods is a pedestrian way to embarrass oneself, Denny. Here’s what I actually wrote, and a scroll of the mouse wheel confirms:

This pairing of sensible concerns about militant Islam with a character’s line from a movie that was satirizing concern about communism is yet another attempt to belittle that concern, to minimize incidents like the one we read about here.

Why not the next time Tim posts one of those articles that seems to bore you so, why not just pass over it and not comment at all? We know why; you do comment, and it’s always a version of the same:

Here, again, is precisely what I said, and anyone even passingly familiar with the English language will see I “implied” nothing, but, rather stated something quite forcefully:
