I was hoping to see Ripley.

This model definitely needs accessories. Like a power assisted grip for opening jars. Maybe a power letter opener – better still, a junk mail shredder. A coffee warmer would be nice. (I’m a little disappointed the Japanese didn’t think of that first.)

For all it’s potential for good, this still looks like a tool that will be severely misused to create destruction and misery. Baggage handlers can slam suitcases into the tarmac or just rip them open (before sending the contents to the wrong airport). Thieves will use it to strip cars in record time. Massage parlors will use it to massage Al Gore’s blubbery carcass. (That brings to mind the “happy ending” accessory and a good place to stop this speculation.)
