US Strikes Iran on Eve of Midterm Elections

Donald Trump had said he may restart bombing following the Nov 3 vote but on Monday night struck Qeshm Island.
Iranian state media reported five explosions on Qeshm, a strategic target home to an underground missile site and naval base located in the northern part of the Strait of Hormuz.
During rallies in recent weeks, the US president has repeatedly threatened to launch a new offensive against Iran but touted the possibility of a deal to end the war.
