Rep. Omar responded to the raid by accusing Pres. Trump of “an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement” and a “campaign of political intimidation.”

Omar’s reaction Monday was in stark contrast to her statement responding to the indictment of Trump, a Republican, in 2023 – prompting Minnesota Republicans to use her own statement against her.

“Rather than issue our own statement, we’ll defer to Rep. Omar. She said it best back in 2023, when the subject of a criminal investigation was someone else,” Minnesota Republican Party Chair Alex Plechash explained Monday in a X.com post:
