I have to confess that I’ve participated in most of these Redneck Habits.
Those of us raised by parents who were teenagers during the Great Depression were programmed to save EVERYTHING. ‘You never know when it might come in handy.’ ‘Waste not, want not.’ My wife and I still struggle to throw away a plastic food container that Might Be Useful Some Day if you just wash it and put it in a Safe Place. (This is why every Boomer car is parked in the driveway or on the street. The ‘garage’ is the Designated Storage Area for Things That Might Be Useful Some Day.)
