Politico Appears to Be Addicted to ‘Crack’

Here a Crack. There a Crack. Everywhere a Crack Crack!
Yes, if Politico is seeing cracks (of the GOP variety) then you know it must be election season. And right on cue with a little over a month left until the midterm elections Politico is seeing huge cracks in the Republican party. In fact they are so insistent on GOP cracks that you almost get the sense they want Republican-inclined voters to get demoralized and neglect to vote this year.
For an example of how much Politico is desperately hyping the GOP Crack theme you need only to look at their Friday front page. The big crack headline at the top of that page (as of this writing) has a couple of Florida crackers, Gary Fineout and Kimberly Leonard, boldly declaring that things are so bad for the cracking GOP in Florida that they seem to need a life boat to rescue them from the inevitable: “‘We are hemorrhaging’: Cracks emerge in GOP’s Florida firewall.”
Just a couple of stories down, Politico’s Myah Ward and Erin Doherty gaze upon yet more emerging crack in “Poll: A crack is emerging in Trump’s coalition over deportations.”
