Note to Gaza – Don’t Start Nothin’ Won’t Be Nothin’

“J” from Men In Black is a font of wisdom. But for the Middle East in general and Gaza in particular: “Don’t start nothin’ won’t be nothin’” seems particularly apt. Maybe Ed Sheeran and Macklemore should take a lesson too.
On multiple occasions since the late 1940’s the option to have their own State had been on the table. All the potential Palestinians had to do was sit down, shut up, and play nice with their neighbors. But at each opportunity they have chosen violence instead. Not satisfied with half a loaf, they repeatedly risked everything to try to get it all. Their success would mean destruction of Israel and the Jews therein. And they failed each time. They should consider themselves fortunate to have what they have.
