Yesterday on the thread about the murder – and attempted beheading – of Andrew Wimsatt in Austin, commenter “Marlene” brought up the murder/beheading of Daniel Pearl and wondered whether his being a Jew had anything to do with him being targeted. I replied that it did, and linked to a post I had written on the subject in October of 2023, just a few weeks after 10/7. Here’s the post again, because I think it’s become even more relevant as time has gone on.
