Former Mail Carrier Gets 2 Years for Stealing Checks

A former U.S. Postal Service mail carrier was sentenced Tuesday to two years in federal prison for stealing 171 checks worth more than $1 million from mail she was assigned to deliver in Smyrna, Georgia, and surrounding areas, prosecutors said.
