Professional associations are nothing more than labor unions/lobbying groups for Highly Educated People, the functional equivalent of medieval guilds (and the actual equivalent of medieval guilds when they succeed, as they so often do, in pushing their protective restrictions into law).
Such associations are among the first (along with the universities and the Narrative Media) to be corrupted by the Long March Through the Institutions that enshrined crypto-socialism in today’s Crust.
