Paramount Eyes Texas Move Amid Warner Bros. Fight

Paramount Skydance chief executive David Ellison is scouting Austin, Texas, as a potential landing spot for the studio should California Attorney General Rob Bonta refuse to settle the multistate antitrust suit blocking his roughly $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, according to a New York Post report.

Ellison told his senior leadership team on Aug. 5 that the company would begin leaving California on Oct. 1 unless Bonta agrees to negotiate, Variety reported, with Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee under consideration and a five-year plan to shift most studio jobs out of state.
