Two academics who appointed Jason Arday to his Cambridge professorship have published work attacking “whiteness” in education, The Telegraph can reveal.
Prof Michalinos Zembylas, professor of educational theory at the Open University of Cyprus, and Prof Anoop Nayak, of Newcastle University, were among four external academics chosen to sit on the nine-member panel that unanimously selected Mr Arday in 2022.
Academic articles reviewed by The Telegraph show that one professor called for the “re-education of whites”, while another condemned “neo-liberal whiteness” in UK and US universities.
