Amazon Must Face Price Gouging Lawsuit, US Judge Rules

A U.S. judge Monday rejected Amazon.com’s bid to dismiss a proposed class-action lawsuit accusing the online retailer ?of price gouging during the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘Price-gouging’ sounds pretty horrible until you realize that it has no definite meaning but is just another of those statist smear-terms (like ‘black market’ or ‘war profiteering’) created for the sole purpose of beating on people who the accuser doesn’t like. ‘Price-gouging’ boils down to ‘you’re charging more for your product than I think is proper’, a verbal finger-wag that has no hint of anything other than disapproval.
