Proposition: Remove All Muslims From the United States
19th December 2025
he title of this post was the argument I encountered recently in an online discussion. The people who were making this proposal were not lunatics: they were law-abiding citizens who had a modicum of understanding about Islam. And they were dead serious.
We live, and for several years have lived, at a time where radical Islam is showing up all over the world. Although I personally believe there are law-abiding Constitutionalists among the Muslim population in the U.S., I am concerned that many Americans believe that any Muslim is a potential terrorist.
A position with which I agree, based on having read the Koran and the Hadiths, which all Muslims accept as normative religious guidance. (Ask any Muslim.)
When I asked people if they were prepared to deport all Muslims, even those who already had reputations as good Americans (M. Zuhdi Jasser comes to mind), a few noted the rule of taqqiya; this tenet allows people to lie to protect Islam. So, the suggestion was made that if people seemed to support America, how do we know they are telling the truth? Also, for those Muslims who are law-abiding, how do we know whether or not they will eventually succumb to the radical Islamist doctrine?
Exactly so. There were many ‘good’ Nazis in Germany, but they all served to prop up a genocidal totalitarian regime. There were many ‘good’ slave-owners but slavery remains an unmitigated evil. There are many ‘good’ socialists, but socialism remains an existential threat to all freedom and prosperity.
I’m not saying it would be easy. But if we fail, the results will be slavery for us and for our children.

Re: “Although I personally believe there are law-abiding Constitutionalists among the Muslim population in the U.S., I am concerned that many Americans believe that any Muslim is a potential terrorist.”
A devout Muslim may not recognize any system of belief as being superior to the Koran, the Hadiths and the Sira. In other words, in all things, sharia law reigns supreme.
If one sits down and compares the fundamental tenets of Islam and those of the United States founding documents, one finds that they cannot be reconciled without changing one or the other of them.
By Islamic law and tradition, Muslims are allowed – even encouraged – to deceive non-Muslims (infidels or kafirs), when it protects an individual Muslim or a group of them, or advances the interests of the faith itself, or both. Taqiyya, kitman, meruna, and other forms of lying, dissimulation, prevarication, and lying-by-omission exist in Islam. No believer may deceive a fellow Muslim without committing a sin, but any of these are fair game for the kafir.
The old-but-correct saying goes that when Muslims are a minority, they are obsessed with minority rights, but when they are a majority, there are no minority rights. It is Islamic doctrine that sharia law applies not just to Muslims, but to all humans.
The foregoing are all of grave concern to any civilized non-Muslim society seeking to stay that way, but demographics turned the crank even harder.
Even that devout and pious old Muslim who never hurt anyone is a potential threat. He may not care about imposing sharia law on the U.S. but his offspring most-likely will. And Muslim women are remarkably fecund.
As commentator/author Mark Steyn famously said twenty or so years ago, “The future belongs to those who show up.” Whatever else may be said about them, the Muslims show up!
Mohammed, the prophet of Islam himself, said to his followers ~ 1,400 years ago, that jihad was so central to Islam – by which he meant “jihad of the sword,” conquest of non-Muslims – that it ought to be the “sixth pillar” of the faith.
The fastest and surest way for any “true believer” (shahid) to be elevated to paradise is to perish waging jihad. That, too, is directly from the foundation texts of Islam.
Islam and western civilization are utterly incompatible – and no amount of politically-correct wishful thinking can change that fact. If the Muslims succeed and do take over, the West will effectively cease to exist. Which, from their point of view, is precisely the point: The Muslims have been trying to defeat and conquer the West for well over a millennium.

Most Americans, even those well-versed in U.S. history, do not know that several of the Founding Fathers debated whether or not to have an amendment to the Constitution prohibiting the practice of Islam in the new republic of the United States of America. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and John Quincy Adams were among these founders. As President, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson respectively had both dealt with the depredations of the Islamic Barbary Pirates in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of North Africa.
These Islamic sea-going raiders and pirates seized non-Muslim vessels transiting the area and after taking their cargoes as booty and loot, held their crews and any passengers as hostages to be ransomed.
Adams, the second President of the U.S., faced a thread-bare budget and lacked the military wherewithal to contest the issue militarily, and so was forced to meet the ransom demands of the Pasha of Tripoli. His successor, Thomas Jefferson, had enough
of the conduct of the Bey, and ordered the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to intercede. The hostages were freed, and the Pasha’s nose bloodied sufficiently that U.S. vessels were thereafter safe for many years to come.
Jefferson, John Adams and J.Q. Adams finally decided not to press the issue of an amendment, probably because they could not ever imagine a time when it would be needed, as the U.S. was then a Christian nation with almost no Muslims living within its borders. Never the less, this episode of our history needs retelling, if for no other reason than the Founders recognized the hazards posed by Islam to the new nation.

About the use of the term “radical Islam”…
There is no such thing as “radical” or for that matter, “moderate” Islam. Muslims themselves do not use such modifiers or descriptions when speaking of their faith. Indeed, they find such terms offensive. Rather, these linguistic devices are the creation of politically-correct westerners who lack the courage and/or integrity to speak the unvarnished truth: To paraphrase the Islamic leader of Turkey, President Recep Erdogan, “Islam is Islam and that’s it!”
