One is reminded of the words of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who famously said of the Germans (“Huns”) that they were “Either at one’s throat or at one’s knees…”
Lay readers – i.e., those uninformed as to the true nature of Islam – may wish to know that Islamic (sharia) law permits dozens of forms of deception, dissimulation, misdirection, and lying, if they save Muslim lives or prevent harm to Muslims or Islam. Whereas the penalties for committing transgressions of sharia against a fellow believer are quite harsh, there are no penalties whatsoever for such transgressions against the hated kafirs/infidels/non-believers. Indeed, deceiving a kafir is considered praiseworthy.
That is all Mamdany is doing: He is engaged in sharia-mandated dissimulation in front of the unbelievers. As the of-heard quip goes, when Muslims are a minority, their only concern is minority rights – but when they are a majority, there are no minority rights.
