Surgeon Discovers ‘Teeth’ on Shroud of Turin

29th September 2025

Read it.

A new finding by American surgeon John Sottosanti adds an astonishing detail to the Shroud of Turn debate: the faint outline of human teeth beneath the cloth’s imprint.

But to Sottosanti, trained in facial anatomy, the discovery is groundbreaking, according to an article published in The Blaze.

It not only demonstrates the Shroud came from a real human being, but also deepens the mystery of how the Shroud’s image was formed.

  1. Steve Miller Says:

Was Sottosanti given access to the article? It was made clear to the world decades ago, such access would never again be provided

  2. Tim of Angle Says:

No, the story says that he had access to high-resolution photographs of the shroud that were taken the last time it was officially allowed to be examined.

    Read the whole thing.

This shred of cloth has gotten an amazing amount of attention for a very long time. I thought an analysis done several decades ago proved it couldn’t be 2000 years old. And what if it IS REAL? It’s just a piece of cloth. No magic. No healing properties. Nothing.

I know that my opinion is affected by my Presbyterian upbringing, but the Calvinists among us would contend that this is idol worship, and I’m pretty sure there’s a rule against that.
