    The View host Joy Behar faced ridicule for claiming on her show, “Once black people get guns in this country, the gun laws will change.”

    For once, she’s right. Middle-class blacks are buying firearms at a record pace, and Behar and her ilk are trying their utmost to prevent it.

    That’s ignoring how easily the criminal class can get guns, of course.

    One of the deleterious effects of historical ignorance is the lack of appreciation for how central the individual right to bear arms was in allowing black people in the south to resist the KKK.
