Read it.

If, of course, that’s what you want to do.

When I was a kid, some friends of our family had a bomb shelter. I don’t remember much but it was pretty simple – mostly just a concrete room. I don’t remember them having any supplies. We thought it was pretty cool. At that time, the government actively encouraged people to build their own shelters. There were too many practical problems for most people to do that. If you lived in an area that was likely targeted for nuclear attack, you stood a good chance of being vaporized, shelter or not. If you live way out in the country, you weren’t going to be bombed, so why build a shelter? Nagasaki recovered incredibly fast from a small A-bomb, but Chernobyl is expected to be dangerous for millennia. It’s entirely possible that the luckiest folks in a nuclear war would be those killed instantly.

At this point, I’m much more afraid of the Democrats than I am of Russian or Chinese nukes.
