I think it would be more accurate to say that, as being a victim becomes more and more fashionable, having a therapist is becoming more and more a fashion statement. ‘See, I’m a victim! I have a therapist!’
Rather a perverted form of virtue-signalling, but virtue-signalling nevertheless.
