University Breaks the Bank to Settle Lawsuit After Discriminating Against Republicans

The University of Washington settled with the university’s College Republicans (UWCR) Monday, agreeing to pay $122,500 to make the lawsuit go away. The settlement comes after UWCR filed a lawsuit claiming that UW’s speaker policies “unconstitutionally infringed upon the UWCR’s First Amendment freedom of speech by making it unaffordable and therefore impractical to host events likely to invite violent protests,” Campus Reform reported.
The losers here, of course, aren the university administrators who made these decisions — heaven forbid! — but rather the taxpayers and students of the University, who have to pay for this mess.
As usual, nobody gets fired and nobody goes to jail. And the Crust just keeps rockin’ on.
