There are multiple examples of this kind of media scrutiny of the President and the Trump White House, where minor details are over-interpreted and become major obsessions, as the two leaders met.

Muslims invaded Spain in 711 and conquered almost all of that country. They held Spain for centuries, until the Christian Reconquest finally drove out the last of the Muslims in 1492. The Reconquest has always been regarded as a glorious chapter in Spanish history, but its current far-left, socialist government seems to be on the other side.

Spain’s government had already given 500,000 illegal aliens, mostly Muslims, legal status in that country. That was the context for yesterday’s attack by Moroccans on the Spanish territory of Ceuta, which Bill Glahn wrote about here. Suddenly, thousands of Moroccans swam or boated around Spain’s fence into Cueta. Why did this happen all at once? They seem to have gotten word that the Spanish authorities wouldn’t stop them.

As usual in these cases, the “migrants” were nearly all military-age men. This wasn’t a migration, it was an invasion, as in 711. And Spain’s government seems to be on board with it.

A clear pattern is emerging: When the political left or their favorite pet migrants wreak havoc and commit heinous crimes, the immediate canned response from the activist fold is to blame the “right wing” or blame those devious Israelis. Why do they do this? Because it works.

Progressive politicians and third world invaders always seem to dodge accountability while conservative movements in-fight over the source of the problem.

There a people on both sides of the aisle that maintain a distaste for Israel, sometimes to the point that they attribute almost godlike abilities to the Israeli government. They seem to be downright omnipresent; everywhere all at once and always ten steps ahead. It’s positively astounding.

Strategists within leftist and elitist movements understand very well that many conservatives and independents are suspicious of Israeli influence and they use this built-in paranoia as a weapon to divert attention away from their own machinations. While there are plenty of valid criticisms to be made against Israel, some claims dive deep into the absurd.

For example, the political left is spreading a new narrative across social media asserting that the migrant invasion of Spain’s Ceuta enclave is part of a vast US/Israeli conspiracy to destroy the country. In other words, they believe that tens-of-thousands of Muslim migrants are taking marching orders from a Jewish-run government.

Truly, this is an unprecedented level of progress in Islamic/Israeli relations.

The main Democratic and media—but we repeat ourselves—conceit of the 2024 election that voters saw straight through was that former Vice President Kamala Harris is some sort of a moderate. Harris recently proved voters right again in a recent statement where she endorsed statehood for Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, expanding the Supreme Court to 13 justices, and the need to “revisit” the Electoral College. However, on Friday’s PBS News Hour, The Atlantic staff writer David Brooks and MS NOW host Jonathan Capehart agreed, “That’s not controversial.”

Not at PBS, that’s certainly true.

Moderator Geoff Bennett teed up Brooks by playing a clip of Harris insisting, “We need to revisit the Electoral College. We need to revisit the point of expanding the Court to 13 justices, like we have 13 district courts. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.”

Bennett was not interested in examining the radical aspects of those proposals. Instead, he wondered if it showed Harris was in tune with the Democratic base, “So that’s the thing. Democrats are saying they want a candidate who will fight for the things that Democrats say they care about. What do you make of that message?”

The Department of Homeland Security has issued the broadest Jones Act waiver since at least the 1950s, just weeks after the US-Iran conflict erupted. The measure has allowed foreign-flagged vessels to transport fuel, crude oil, fertilizer, and other essential goods between US ports, bypassing domestic shipping restrictions to mitigate supply chain disruptions across various U.S. regions.

The Jones Act, a century-old law requiring goods transported between U.S. ports to be carried aboard U.S.-Built, US-owned, and US-crewed vessels, was immediately waived in the early days of the U.S.-Iran conflict by the Trump administration.

As of Friday, the waiver has entered its 135th day, suggesting that the administration is continuing to protect domestic supply chains and curb energy prices by temporarily easing maritime protectionist restrictions.

A recent Reuters report stated that the Trump administration was considering another extension of the waiver.

The Jones Act is one of those cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face pieces of legislation that disgrace the U.S. Code. It ought to be repealed, not just waived.

I spent my high-school years in Elkhart, Indiana. There were no ‘Hispanics’ there at the time, and not a lot of People of Color.

What do you notice about the photo of Gomez? Does that jersey signify that he was a fan of the Chicago White Sox? Well, Elkhart is only 112 miles from Chicago, and I suppose it’s possible that Gomez was a White Sox fan, but a quick Google search indicates that wearing White Sox regalia is common among certain gangs affiliated with the Crips. Just had to point this out.

During the crime scene investigation in which crime scene specialists documented and recovered evidence related to the event, another handgun was found on the front passenger floorboard of the subject vehicle that had been modified to be fully automatic by what is known as a “switch”. A “switch” is an after-market attachment that converts a semi-automatic handgun to a fully automatic handgun which is illegal to possess pursuant to both State and Federal law.

For the record, I know who my great-grandparents were, and I am 7 parts Irish and 1 part Scots, and you can’t get much Whiter than that; maybe if you came from Norway (as my ancestors did 900 years ago). My paternal great-grandfather was born in Ireland in 1854, and I doubt that he ever saw a non-white person in his life until he got to Boston, and quite possibly not even then.
