Buttigieg Spent $80 Billion On DEI, Half DOT’s Budget, Instead Of Upgrading Air Traffic Control: Report

25th July 2025

Read it.

over the last year, recent developments suggest the current crisis may actually be rooted in the Biden administration (big surprise, we know…)

That’s because under Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, systemic issues with outdated infrastructure, controller shortages, and mounting flight delays worsened—even as the Department of Transportation (DOT) diverted massive resources toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, according to a new report by the NY Post.

During his tenure, Buttigieg allegedly showed little interest in modernizing ATC systems. “He was definitely pushing an agenda,” said one industry official. “Little to no interest” was given to fixing the aging infrastructure, and “definitely zero action” was taken, they added.

In a meeting with airline executives, Buttigieg reportedly dismissed the need for upgrades, saying improvements would simply let them “fly more planes, and so why would that be in his interest?”

DHS Says 233,000 Unaccompanied Children Were Lost During Biden Presidency

25th July 2025

Read it.

More than 230,000 unaccompanied minors were released from immigration custody into the U.S. during the Biden administration and subsequently became unaccounted for, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari testified in front of the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday. He said 31,000 children were sent to invalid home addresses in the U.S. and that sponsors were not properly vetted before the unaccompanied children were released to them.

The Oversight panel was called to review the findings of a March 2025 report by DHS that found that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is unable to track the status of all unaccompanied minors currently in the U.S. The report’s findings “reveal significant gaps” in ICE’s management of these children, Cuffari testified.

AOC’s on the Hook for $2,983.28 After the House Ethics Panel Closed its Probe Into Her Met Gala Appearance

25th July 2025

Business Insider, a Voice of the Crust.

(Despite its name, ‘Business Insider’ has nothing to do with business, but is just another Democrat talking-points machine.)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s appearance at the 2021 Met Gala ended up being more expensive for her than she might’ve thought.

The House Ethics Committee on Friday closed its yearslong probe into the New York congresswoman and whether she accepted improper gifts in connection with her attendance at the high-profile event, where she wore a white dress emblazoned with the phrase “Tax the Rich.”

In a 31-page report, the panel said that Ocasio-Cortez had “impermissibly accepted gifts” and said that in order for the matter to be closed, she would need to pay nearly $3,000 in personal funds.

That includes $250 to cover the attendance of her fiancé, Riley Roberts, and an additional $2,733.28 payment to Brother?Vellies, the business that designed her dress.

Under Siege From Trump and Musk, a Top Liberal Group Falls Into Crisis

25th July 2025

The New York Times, paper of record for the Deep State.

Media Matters, a nonprofit group that has played a key role in liberal politics, is struggling to withstand months of legal assaults by President Trump’s allies, offering a glimpse of what might be in store for even well-funded targets of his retribution campaigns.

The organization, which is funded by some of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors, has racked up about $15 million in legal fees over the past 20 months to defend itself against lawsuits by Elon Musk, in addition to investigations by Mr. Trump’s Federal Trade Commission and Republican state attorneys general.

The group has slashed the size of its staff and scrambled to raise more cash from skittish donors, according to documents and interviews with 11 people familiar with the organization’s fight to survive.

Media Matters for America was (and maybe still is) a tool of the Clinton machine, and specializes in muckraking fake news against Republicans in general and Donald Trump in particular.

Attack on Israeli Teens Outside Rhodes Nightclub

25th July 2025

Read it.

In what has been described as a terrifying encounter with a pro-Palestinian mob, a group of Israelis on vacation report dealing with a vicious attack.

The alleged incident on the Greek island of Rhodes saw the youths chased and attacked by a knife-wielding group in the early morning of Wednesday, July 23rd, when a pro-Palestinian crowd ambushed the Israelis outside a local nightclub.

As it attempted to leave the area, the group was further pursued on motorcycles and on foot. Once they were caught trying to hide, the Israelis were beaten. Eventually the group was able to establish contact with parents, who contacted Israel’s Foreign Ministry for assistance.

This incident came the day after an Israeli-owned cruise ship was blocked from docking at the Greek island of Syros and rerouted to Cyprus. A large anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian protest at the port proved able to turn the ship away.

Authorities in Rhodes have dismissed Israeli reports of the attack, claiming there was no violence and any confrontation, involving a larger Israeli group, was purely verbal. Whether or not a more concrete account of the event emerges, it’s clear that Jews in Europe are increasingly under attack.

The Rotten Core of a Manufactured Scandal

25th July 2025

Armstrong Williams, whom I am glad to see is still alive.

Did former President Barack Obama play a role in the fabrication of the Russia collusion narrative? According to National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard—once a rising star within the Democratic Party and now a gadfly for political truth—the answer is unequivocally yes. More than that, Gabbard suggests the Obama administration orchestrated a “treasonous conspiracy” in 2016, one that weaponized the intelligence community and buried exculpatory findings that contradicted their desired political outcome.

Let us not pretend this charge is light. A “treasonous conspiracy” suggests not merely malfeasance but a betrayal of the public trust at the highest levels of government. If these allegations are true—and the declassified documents and testimonies increasingly suggest they are—then we are dealing with one of the most corrosive abuses of power in American history. And yet, predictably, the usual suspects in the Democratic Party and their allies in corporate media have denounced these revelations not with evidence but with noise.

Men like Sen. Adam Schiff, the architect and chief propagandist of the Russia hoax, have long enjoyed the luxury of consequence-free deception. Schiff assured the nation, repeatedly and confidently, that he had “direct evidence” of collusion between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s government. No such evidence ever materialized. None. Instead, what we received was a yearslong investigation—one that disrupted a presidency, undermined international credibility, and cost the American taxpayers tens of millions of dollars—only to conclude there was no collusion.

The Absurdity of Climate Reparations

25th July 2025

Read it.

If an international court told the Western world to jump off a cliff, would we do it? We may be about to find out. The UN’s top court, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), ruled on Wednesday that wealthy nations must meet their environmental targets, or else face being sued by the states most affected by climate change.

The case was brought to the ICJ by a group of law students from the Pacific Islands—where countries like Vanuatu are particularly at risk from rising sea levels—and was supported by 132 nations in total. As part of the ruling, Judge Yuji Iwasawa also called climate change an “urgent and existential threat,” said that a healthy environment is a human right, and declared that “states must cooperate to achieve concrete emission-reduction targets.” Those who fail to reduce their fossil fuel consumption could expect to cough up “full reparations to injured states in the form of restitution, compensation and satisfaction provided that the general conditions of the law of state responsibility are met.”

The decision is not legally binding, but it could still prove influential. Campaigners and climate lawyers hope that it’ll pave the way for Western nations to pay out ‘compensation’ to countries most affected by climate change. Experts have warned this also opens the door to lawsuits over historic emissions, as less developed nations vie for ‘climate reparations’ from countries like the UK, where the Industrial Revolution began.

Staffer Wearing Keffiyeh Sparks Uproar in EU Parliament

24th July 2025

Read it.

The appearance of a European Parliament staff member wearing a keffiyeh—the traditional Palestinian scarf—during a meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has triggered a heated debate within the chamber. Members of the European People’s Party (EPP) criticised the gesture, considering the attire an ideological display inappropriate for an institutional employee.

The incident occurred during a parliamentary committee meeting held last week. Apparently, the staffer was asked to leave the room following protests by Spanish MEP Antonio López-Istúriz White, who stated, “Civil servants are not here to promote ideology,” supported by Bulgarian EPP MEP Andrey Kovatchev. A Parliament spokesman later explained that the meeting was briefly interrupted while “precautionary measures” were taken to allow it to continue without disruption.

The reaction from progressive MEPs was swift—and unsurprising. Several of them and their assistants attended parliamentary sessions the following days wearing the keffiyeh in solidarity. “I don’t see the issue. That person was dressed completely normally,” said Belgian MEP Marc Botenga from The Left group, who also pointed out that no one had raised objections when Ukrainian symbols were previously displayed in the same context.

Virtue-signaling is the opiate of the attention-whore.

“Bullsh*t”: Vance Slams Microsoft for Firing Americans While Applying for H-1B Visas

Vice President JD Vance unleashed a fiery takedown of Corporate America’s relentless outsourcing of U.S. jobs, zeroing in on Big Tech’s shameless dependence on foreign workers through the grossly misused H-1B visa program, slamming it as a betrayal of American workers.

“You see some big tech companies where they’ll lay off 9,000 workers, and then they’ll apply for a bunch of overseas visas. And I sort of wonder; that doesn’t totally make sense to me,” Vance said during an interview at the All-In AI Policy Summit in Washington, DC.

Satya Nadella (from Hyderabad), the Chairman of Microsoft, doesn’t want to manage Americans, he wants to manage Indians, his people.

Similarly, Sundar Pichai (from Tamil Nadu) at Google/Alphabet, doesn’t want to manage Americans, he wants to manage Indians, his people.

Black people want to hire black people. Indians want to hire Indians. Latinos want to hire Latinos. Homosexuals want to hire homosexuals. Why this comes as a surprise to anybody escapes me. These groups know that DEI is bullshit, that ‘diversity’ is a weakness, not a strength, and that a homogeneous workforce is more efficient and more effective than a random bunch of strangers.

Corporation for Public Broadcasting Gave Tax $$$ to Soros-Backed Censorship Giant

24th July 2025

Newsbusters.

It’s bad enough that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting had been funneling millions in tax dollars to leftist propaganda mills NPR and PBS over the decades. But what if we were to tell you that the CPB funded one of America’s “fact-checking” giants backed by George Soros responsible for censoring conservatives on social media platforms for years? Because that’s exactly what we’re about to tell you.

MRC Business discovered that the CPB, which is fully funded by tax dollars through federal appropriations, gave $599,330 to the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in 2023.

Poynter, which runs the left-tilting International Fact-Checking Network, was heavily invested in helping Big Tech platforms like Facebook widely censor supposedly “troublesome” opinions on the COVID-19 virus, amongst other topics, like elections and abortion.

What’s worse is that liberal billionaires like George Soros, eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar and others are also some of IFCN’s most infamous financiers, further compounding the First Amendment concerns that government funds could have potentially been used to silence Americans.

The Legend of Luis Leon: The Media Embraces Another Anti-Ice Hoax

24th July 2025

Jonathan Turley.

“When the legend becomes fact…print the legend.” Those words from an editor to a young reporter in “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” still appear to be the modus operandi of the media. That was demonstrated this week with the legend of Luis Leon after The Morning Call in Allentown, PA, printed yet another harrowing account of ICE agents “disappearing” an immigrant. According to a story quickly picked up by other eager outlets, the 82-year-old grandfather, a legal asylum holder, was roughed up and then deported to Guatemala. The problem is that there appears to be no proof supporting the story of the “family members” cited by the reporter.

According to The Morning Call, Luis Leon, a Chilean national, was trying to replace his lost green card at a local USCIS office when he was suddenly deported to the wrong country, Guatemala, and he ended up in a hospital with pneumonia. The story further recounted how Leon’s wife was kept in custody in brutal conditions for 10 hours before she was released.

Media, including The Guardian, eagerly picked up the story of another “disappearing” of an immigrant.

As the story went viral, a few people decided actually to look into the case and found that it not only made no sense but there is no evidence of such a deportation.

For its part, The Morning Call changed key facts but did not withdraw the story as a hoax.

Of course not. So what if it was false? It expresses a “deeper truth”, in line with the Narrative.

Gazans Are Dying of Starvation

The New York Times, paper of record for the Deep State.

Why this is any business of the United States is nowhere explained–because, as we all know, people starving anywhere in the world are TOTALLY the responsibility of the U.S. government–and the U.S. taxpayer.

All they had to do was refrain from murdering, raping, and maiming Jews. That’s all. And it was beyond them. The Jews in question are tired of it and have decided to remove the problem by removing the people who are causing the problem, and I can’t say that I blame them, or that I would do any differently were I in their place.

A Bipartisan Governors’ Group Is Splintering in the Trump Era

24th July 2025

The Atlantic, a Voice of the Crust.

This coming weekend’s summer meeting of the National Governors Association has been planned as a postcard-perfect celebration of bipartisan policy making. At the base of the Rocky Mountains, 20 governors from both parties will gather at the Broadmoor resort, in Colorado Springs, for golf, meals, and panels featuring Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the investor Mark Cuban, and the former Obama-administration economist Jason Furman.

But trouble is stirring beyond the open bars and talks about “reigniting the American dream.” Some Democratic members of the group have privately been fuming in recent months over the organization’s tepid reaction to President Donald Trump’s federal incursions into state matters. They complain that the group did not respond forcefully enough when Trump’s Office of Management and Budget briefly ordered a disruptive pause on the disbursement of all federal funds in January; when Maine Governor Janet Mills and her staff clashed with the White House the following month, over transgender sports; and in June, when Trump deployed the California National Guard to the streets of Los Angeles over the objections of local authorities.

The National Governor’s Association is a cornerstone of the Deep State, founded on the assumption that state governments have a bipartisan interest in raising taxes and spending taxpayer money no matter what the political label is pasted on it. Traditionally this has meant Deep State Democrats pursuing their usual tax-and-spend regimes, with Deep State Republicans making mewling noises as they trail meekly behind. Trump has upset their applecart, and Deep State Democrats are Not Happy.

Why “Freakonomics” Failed to Transform Economics

24th July 2025

The Economist, a Voice of the Crust.

“Economics is a study of mankind in the ordinary business of life.” So starts Alfred Marshall’s “Principles of Economics”, a 19th-century textbook that helped create the common language economists still use today. Marshall’s contention that economics studies the “ordinary” was not a dig, but a statement of intent. The discipline was to take seriously some of the most urgent questions in human life. How do I pay my bills? What do I do for a living? What happens if I get sick? Will I ever be able to retire?

The fundamental error of the so-called ‘science’ of economics is precisely this. In fact, economics is not about ‘the ordinary business of life’ except insofar as that involves trade, which almost every aspect of modern life does. Economics is about trade, nothing else. It is about production only insofar as that produces goods to be used in trade, which almost every aspect of modern life does. How do I pay my bills? Typically, from the money you receive in trade for your labor. What do I do for a living? Trade my labor for resources. What happens if I get sick? You can’t trade your money for resources, so you’re screwed––unless you get passive income from investments or rents, in which case you’re golden. Will I ever be able to retire? Sure, if you put enough away to generate passive income … or someone else is obliged to pay you some sort of pension. Every ‘economist’ in history has made this mistake, which is why economists stick their noses into every other aspect of ordinary life without any justification.

Like the judicial sophistry that enables conscription in violation of the 13th Amendment and the judicial sophistry that allows birthright citizenship in violation of the 14th Amendment, the Federal government is perfmitted to stick its nose into ‘the ordinary business of life’ in violation of the Commerce Clause of the Constitution by the judicial sophistry that, well, if you weren’t doing your ‘economic’ activity within the border of a single state, you would be ‘engaging in interstate commerce’ and so you get the Federal boot on your neck.

In the Heart of Berlin: Hundreds Celebrate Massacres of Druze

In front of Berlin’s Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall), the seat of the city’s mayor, nearly 400 men—many of them reportedly Syrian refugees—publicly celebrated the recent massacres committed against the Druze community in Syria. Eyewitnesses report that chants included “Out with the Druze!” and “Today we liberate Suweida, we will break the Druze,” along with calls for rape, murder, and ethnic cleansing. Although 65 police officers were present at the scene, they did not intervene.

The NGO Democ, which monitors extremist activity, also reported antisemitic chants such as “Bring the Israeli flag so we can burn it!” Many of the slogans were later disseminated by the demonstrators themselves on social media. Democ director Linus Kebba Pook sharply criticized the authorities, saying, “In other protests, the police use interpreters to detect incitement to hatred. Why not here?”

Mass Immigration Blamed for Rise in German School Violence

24th July 2025

Read it.

In 2024, nearly 40% of suspects in school violence cases across Germany did not hold German citizenship, according to government data released in response to a parliamentary query. Of the 11,558 suspects identified, 4,254 were foreign nationals, including 1,236 Syrians and 421 Afghans.

The total number of violent incidents recorded at schools last year reached 35,570, averaging nearly 100 cases per day. Some incidents involved multiple suspects. Over 740 of the crimes involved knife attacks, according to the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

Fourteen federal states reported an increase in school violence compared to 2023. Collectively, these states recorded about 1,500 more violent incidents than the previous year. Bavaria, Hesse, and Brandenburg were among those reporting significant rises.

AfD domestic policy spokesman Martin Hess blamed the increase on mass immigration and called for tighter border controls, more deportations of criminal foreigners, and an end to what he described as the “multicultural experiment.”

The Taxpayers Association of Europe (TAE) has filed charges against two former EU officials: ex–Vice President of the Commission Frans Timmermans—the architect of the European Green Deal— and Virginijus Sinkevi?ius, former Commissioner for the Environment.

The complaint accuses the Commission of funneling over €7 billion between 2019 and 2024 to NGOs whose operations and objectives—some of which included influencing the European Parliament—were poorly monitored.

How to Harvest Moisture From the Atmosphere

24th July 2025

The Economist.

Even in the most speculative reaches of science fiction, there is no escaping humanity’s dependence on liquid water. Luke Skywalker, the hero of the original “Star Wars” trilogy, grows up on his uncle’s moisture farm, extracting water from Tatooine’s arid atmosphere. The residents of the desert world Arrakis, accessible to anyone with a copy of Frank Herbert’s novel “Dune” (or with three hours to kill at their nearest cinema), likewise use windtraps to steal precious liquid from the air.

Engineers on Earth, too, are increasingly looking to the atmosphere for water. They have good reason to do so. Even in the depths of Chile’s Atacama Desert, often called the driest place on Earth, estimates suggest that fog and dew can generate some 200ml of water per square metre. Elsewhere, the atmosphere is even more generous. Worldwide, it is estimated to contain 12,900 cubic kilometres of water, roughly the volume of Lake Superior. Moreover, models indicate that evaporation driven by global warming will increase these levels by 27% over the course of the next 50 years.

Tapping this invisible reservoir is a priority. As Earth’s temperatures rise and its population grows, ever more people are likely to run short of water. More than 2.3bn are currently living in water-stressed countries and analysts predict that further droughts will force roughly a third of these to move from their homes by 2030.

The Physics of Languages

24th July 2025

Read it.

If the world of research were an ecosystem, with scientists of different disciplines representing different species, then physicists would be classified as invaders. After all, they’ve spread their methods and tools to many other fields over the years, infiltrating not only other natural sciences but the social sciences too.

Born from this invasion, interdisciplinary fields such as sociophysics and econophysics have been developed, in which mathematical models from physics are applied to social contexts, including traffic, crowds and financial markets. These new areas – and the models involved – are part of what’s known as complex systems theory. It concerns systems composed of many elements that interact with each other, producing a collective behaviour that could not be understood if the properties of the individual components were considered in isolation.

But while sociophysics and econophysics are now recognized disciplines, the application of physics to linguistics – known as language dynamics – is less familiar. In fact, we have come across referee reports that have questioned the seriousness of research papers by physicists on this topic. So if you’re one of these strange physicists studying problems that traditionally are part of linguistics, how should you react? Well, swearing is one option.

Holy Homeostasis, Batman!

24th July 2025

Read it.

Complex and dynamic systems self-regulate, moving through equilibrium states in response to stimuli and feedback. Seen from the outside, these systems, because they are complex and not deterministic, look like they are guided by some kind of invisible hand. We have a word for it: homeostasis.

In opposition to the simplistic thinking of journalists, politicians and morons (but I repeat myself), homeostasis is a primary reason why all models are wrong (though some are useful). The more complex the system being modeled, the less likely it is that anyone can accurately predict the future, because the systems have incredibly complex feedback mechanisms.

And yet, thanks to homeostasis, the world is far more stable than “experts” can understand. The ocean, for example, never tops 31C – when it gets close, storms invariably emerge and provide cooling. We live in a chaotic system that nevertheless ends up looking like it is externally regulated, because climate inherently seems to resist “runaway” scenarios.

And it works because complex systems prove to be far more resilient than we might have thought at first. Simple systems fail when stressed, but the very best systems are complex: they contain lots of independent actors, often in tension with each other.

These systems work: Think of all the predictions of global financial collapse that have sounded very sensible – but have yet to come true. The global financial system has countless actors of all kinds, and it often seems to defy gravity; it is simply too complicated to be able to pinpoint when, for example, the US debt is going to lead to a fundamental economic crisis – I remember Democrats predicting it would happen way back when Reagan was president! The timing of even inevitable outcomes seems to remain far beyond our reach.

There are ten people in the world who could decide tomorrow to make IT better, and it would become better. Not better for some, not better for a while, but better for all and forever.

Those ten people are those who sign off on the Settings menus on desktops, mobile and consumer at Apple, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, and Sony. The decision would be to create a standard that says three things: what are the user adjustable features common to every device with a screen, what single place are they to go in the Settings menu and where, and what common data structure could store them.

This single action would save everyone worldwide time and solve so much error when setting up a new device or using a shared or public system. That alone should be enough reason. For those who have trouble here, it would instantly fix the Catch-22 of needing to change UI settings before being able to use something, but the settings are locked behind an unusable UI.

For app developers and website designers, the presence of that standard data structure on a system means their products can instantly know how to be most usable to each individual, without reinventing any wheels or complicating their own UI. Preferred text size and style, icon size and spacing, good and bad color combinations, language – if a machine could pick that up from your phone through Bluetooth, a USB key, a web service, you name it, then it is instantly and optimally ready for you. The more precise your needs, the better that is.

8,000 Refugees Moved to Germany from Greece Only This Year

24th July 2025

Read it.

According to the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, approximately 8,000 people reapplied for protection with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) between January and May. The total for 2024 exceeded 26,000.

EU rules allow recognised asylum seekers to travel freely within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. However, under EU regulations, individuals who have already received protection in one member state are not permitted to file a new asylum claim in another. “Persons who have been granted protection in Greece must also claim protection there,” the Interior Ministry clarified.

Reports indicate that many of these recognised refugees arrive in Germany by air, and then stay on indefinitely, after—illegally—applying for protection again. The German Police Union (GdP) has expressed concern that current airport checks may be insufficient to manage such movements effectively.

The situation has prompted renewed public and political discussion. Alice Weidel, co-leader of the AfD party, commented on social media: “Around 8,000 ‘refugees’ already recognised in Greece travelled on to Germany in 2025 to apply for ‘protection’ here. This is absurd—we have long been calling for comprehensive checks and rejections at our airports.”

As Germany continues to navigate complex migration dynamics, policymakers are once again facing calls to review border procedures and ensure better coordination at the European level.

Asylum Seekers Caught Using Government-Issued Cards for Gambling in the UK

24th July 2025

Read it.

Thousands of asylum seekers in the UK have used pre-paid Aspen cards—intended for basic needs like food and clothing—to access gambling venues, including casinos, amusement arcades and bookmakers, according to Home Office data released under freedom of information laws.

Up to 6,537 individuals were found to have used the cards at least once in such venues over the past year. The government is now investigating the misuse, amid public and political backlash.

Critics, including Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp, called the figures “an insult to taxpayers,” accusing migrants of abusing state support and calling for stricter controls and removals. Reform UK and local officials have echoed these concerns, warning the scandal may be fuelling a growing gambling industry in migrant-heavy areas.

Aspen cards are issued to around 80,000 asylum seekers who are not allowed to work and are living at public expense, often in hotels. Although the cards are not meant for gambling or online use, loopholes—such as cash withdrawals inside gambling venues—appear to have enabled misuse.

The Home Office has launched a formal inquiry and pledged to strengthen oversight of the system.d

English Schools’ Crackdown on Patriotic Clothing

24th July 2025

Read it.

Dozens of schoolchildren were punished with “isolation” after they wore Union flags to celebrate a school ‘culture day.’ Pupils at Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy in Oldbury, West Midlands were invited to wear something reflecting their heritage for the day—not realising British heritage is now seen as controversial.

It is claimed head teacher Peter McKinniss withdrew pupils wearing British flags from class and had them detained in a separate meeting room. One pupil who challenged the ‘no flags’ policy, Isobelle Wehrle, 15, was sent home for arguing—and suspended from school for five days.

Best-Ever Map of the Human Genome Sheds Light on ‘Jumping Genes,’ ‘Junk DNA’ and More

24th July 2025

LiveScience.

Twenty-two years after the completion of the Human Genome Project, scientists have unveiled the most expansive catalog of human genetic variation ever compiled.

Across two new papers published Wednesday (July 23) in the journal Nature, scientists sequenced the DNA of 1,084 people around the world. They leveraged recent technological advancements to analyze long stretches of genetic material from each person, stitched those fragments together and compared the resulting genomes in fine detail.

The results deepen our understanding of “structural variants” within the human genome. Rather than affecting a single “letter” in DNA’s code, such variations affect large chunks of the code — they may be deleted from or added to the genome, or encompass places where the DNA has been flipped around or moved to a different location.

Blue State Blues: The Toxic Combination of Illinois’ Sanctuary Status and the SAFE-T Act

23rd July 2025

Read it.

It’s hard to believe he’s been walking freely for months. A woman overdosed in his home. He concealed her death and dumped her body in a bleach-filled trash can in his back yard – where it remained for more than two months. His alleged crimes were heinous. Abuse of a corpse. Concealing a death and obstruction of justice. Class 4 felonies.

Yet after Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez was finally arrested, he couldn’t be held in jail. His alleged crimes didn’t qualify for pretrial detention under the SAFE-T Act, a law passed in 2021 that makes it more difficult to detain alleged criminals for certain crimes. The Act also made Illinois the first state in the country to ban cash bail altogether.

Incredibly, authorities had yet another opportunity to put Mendoza-Gonzalez behind bars. He’s an illegal immigrant and could have been handed over to federal authorities. But Illinois’ sanctuary status meant, again, he was allowed to walk free while awaiting trial.

Biden Hotline To Help Unaccompanied Migrant Children Ignored 65,000 Calls

23rd July 2025

Read it.

Disturbing reports were revealed during a hearing held last week by the House Committee on Homeland Security on the role of NGOs (non-profit organizations) in facilitating the unprecedented border crisis during the Biden Administration.

A key witness, Ali Hopper, founder and president of GUARD Against Trafficking, testified that both federal agencies and NGOs have been “hijacked by criminal networks” and operate behind the “scale and the mismanagement” of the immigration system. The allegations revolve around reports that the Biden and Democrats had lost track of over 300,000 unaccompanied alien minors (children crossing the border illegally without parents).

I Never Thought I’d Vote Republican—Until My Kid Came Home With a New Pronoun

23rd July 2025

The Foundry.

“I never thought I’d vote Republican,” one Virginia mother told her local school board. “But then my daughter came home with a new name, new pronouns—and no permission slip.”

That story isn’t rare anymore. It’s part of a growing national pattern. And it’s fueling one of the most significant political realignments of our time.

Across the country, classical liberals, independents, and disaffected Democrats are rediscovering liberty—not as a talking point, but as a lifeline. Not out of partisanship, but out of necessity. They’re standing up for parental rights, biological reality, local control, and rejecting the notion that public institutions should reprogram children instead of serving families.

The cultural Left, once a champion of autonomy and tolerance, now operates by coercion. “Equity” departments at schools, corporations, and governments write top-down speech codes. School administrators silence dissent. In some cases, even the American flag is deemed too divisive.

Democrat response: “EPSTEIN! EPSTEIN! EPSTEIN!”

Biden Admin’s $7.5 Billion EV Initiative Built Fewer Than 400 Charging Ports in 3 Years, Watchdog Says

23rd July 2025

Read it.

The Biden administration’s $7.5 billion program to install electric-vehicle charging stations across the United States has delivered fewer than 400 charging ports since November 2021, according to a Tuesday report by the Government Accountability Office.

The EV charging initiative, part of former president Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, has built just 384 charging ports at 68 stations in 16 states as of April 2025, Reuters reported after reviewing the GAO’s report. The figure amounts to less than 0.2 percent of the roughly 219,000 public EV charging ports operating nationwide.

“Wider adoption of [electric] vehicles may be slowed because there aren’t enough chargers available across the country,” the GAO wrote in its summary of the report, noting that the program’s oversight office “has not defined performance goals with measurable targets and time frames for its activities.”

Say what you will about Democrats, they can sure spend money. (Not their own, of course….)

California’s Fraudulent “Disaster Recovery” Is a Land Grab

23rd July 2025

Read it.

Remember Gavin Newsom’s first visit to the sites of devastating fires last January in Los Angeles, when he vowed to streamline California’s paralytic regulations so people could quickly rebuild their homes?

In that interview, while undulating his shoulders in a weird shimmy that will undoubtedly come back to haunt him as he ramps up his presidential campaigning, Newsom also promised to “prevent opportunistic investors from exploiting vulnerable residents by offering below-market prices.”

It’s hard to say which promise has been more thoroughly violated. As celebrity author Adam Carolla posted on 7/14, there is virtually no work going on along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, where hundreds of homes burned down to the sand.

This is typical.

The Palisades Fire, with a burn area that included Malibu, destroyed over 6,000 homes. So far, 161 permits have been issued by the City of Los Angeles. The community of Altadena, which was consumed by the Eaton Fire, lost over 9,000 homes. So far, 84 rebuilding permits have been issued.

Largest Teachers’ Union in United States Erases Jews From the Holocaust

23rd July 2025

Read it.

The nation’s largest teachers’ union plans to promote a version of Holocaust remembrance that does not mention Jews, according to its 2025 handbook, which references “victims of the Holocaust from different faiths” and teaches that Israel was founded through “forced, violent displacement and dispossession,” its most recent guide for members shows.

The National Education Association, which represents nearly three million public school teachers and education workers, outlined the priorities in its 2025 handbook. The NEA publishes the document each year as a guide on the group’s priorities and strategic goals for the association’s national and state leaders, staff, and members. It includes the NEA’s bylaws and is updated with any new resolutions and policy positions the union has endorsed.

The news comes amid a surge in both anti-Semitism and anti-Israel extremism at public schools and within teachers’ unions themselves. The NEA Representative Assembly—the union’s parliamentary body—passed a resolution to boycott the Anti-Defamation League’s Holocaust education materials earlier this month, a vote the union’s leadership rejected.

The NEA handbook, though, indicates that union leadership does back the extremist anti-Israel and anti-Jewish positions of many of its members.

The handbook says the union will “promote the celebration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day” by “recognizing more than 12 million victims of the Holocaust from different faiths, ethnicities, races, political beliefs, genders, and gender identification, abilities/disabilities, and other targeted characteristics.” The description does not mention the attempted extermination of the Jewish people by the Nazis.

Look for … the Union label….

Teen Died In Hospital ‘In Advanced State of Starvation After Sub-Par NHS Care’

23rd July 2025

The Daily Record (UK).

An autistic 17-year-old girl died after being admitted to hospital in “an advanced state of starvation”, a coroner has said. The teen died on May 5 2024, having been taken to A&E at Cramlington’s Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital on April 30.

Senior Coroner Hetherington has subsequently issued a “prevention of future deaths” notice in which the girl’s name has been redacted. He has highlighted seven areas where in his view improvements are required. NHS organisations have admitted the care the girl received was “not at the standard anyone would expect”.

How about that great government-provided health care system? Don’t you wish we had such a system in the U.S.?

Don’t worry, ‘Obamacare’ was just the first step….

Popular UK Meal Is ‘Worst in World’ With Fat, Salt, Sugar and UPFs

23rd July 2025

The Daily Record (UK).

The meal in question is, of course, the ‘Full English Breakfast’, which includes

Classic Components
1.Bacon: Usually back bacon (not streaky), fried or grilled.
2.Sausages: Pork sausages are most common.
3.Eggs: Fried is traditional, but scrambled, poached, or boiled are options.
4.Baked Beans: Canned baked beans in tomato sauce.
5.Grilled Tomatoes: Sliced in half and cooked until soft and lightly browned.
6.Mushrooms: Usually button mushrooms, fried or sautéed in butter.
7.Toast or Fried Bread: Often white or brown bread, either simply toasted or fried in oil or the bacon fat.
8.Black Pudding: A type of blood sausage, optional but traditional.
9.Hash Browns or Fried Potatoes: Regionally popular, especially in modern versions.
Optional Extras
•White Pudding: Similar to black pudding but without blood.
•Kippers or Smoked Fish: Sometimes offered in place of, or alongside, meat.
•Potato Scones: Especially common in Scottish and Northern Irish breakfasts.
•Bubble and Squeak: Pan-fried leftover vegetables, especially from roast dinners.
•Tea or Coffee: Usually served to drink, with orange juice as another option.

Which is certainly why people like it.  (Just reading about it makes me want one. The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich from Jack-in-the-Box is a good American approximation.) But never fear, the Karens of the Global Shaming Community are on the case:

A dietitian says a popular UK breakfast has ‘all the red flags’ and is more unhealthy than eating a dinner kebab or a cheeseburger for your first meal of the day – and is in fact the worst breakfast in the world. A team of researchers from Feel Gut, a UK based lab specialising in gut microbiome testing have measured every single ingredient in the 20 most consumed traditional dishes globally and found that the Full English Breakfast is the unhealthiest of them all.

At 1,279 kcal, the Full English packs in 95% more calories than the 673 kcal average of other traditional dishes worldwide. With the highest UPF count and calorie load of all 20, the Full English ranks last in health scoring

Man Dragged to Death in MRI Scanner Was Wearing 9kg Chain Around Neck

23rd July 2025

Keith McAllister

For non-metric people, 9 kilograms is almost twenty pounds. Apparently he was wearing it for ‘weight training’. (Had he been an ‘aspiring rapper’ and the chain made out of gold, as is traditional, he’d probably be alive today.)

Well, anyway, think of it as evolution in action.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
