If you want to put a thousand engineers on a project suddenly, it’s easier to do that in China than almost anywhere else in the world. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., warned the Trump administration against arresting Democrat lawmakers who have been accused of assaulting federal immigration officers at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Newark, New Jersey, calling it a “red line.”

“They know better than to go down that road,” Jeffries told reporters at the Capitol on Tuesday, The Hill reported.

Jeffries was responding to Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, who told CNN over the weekend that there will “likely be more arrests coming” after Friday’s protests led to the arrests of several people, including Newark Democrat Mayor Ras Baraka.

The city is moving to uproot the organizers of a Queens community garden who required prospective members to sign a “statement of values” that included a commitment to opposing Zionism, homophobia and transphobic behavior.

Parks department officials wrote in an April 16 letter that the leaders of Sunset Community Garden in Ridgewood violated guidelines by imposing a “litmus test” and “improper requirement” on garden members.

“Our decision to terminate the garden group’s license agreement has nothing to do with anyone’s political beliefs or gender expression,” said Margaret Nelson, a deputy commissioner at the parks department.

“This is about ensuring that our community gardens are responsibly managed and accessible as public spaces. We never want a termination, but the group’s leadership has repeatedly refused to work with us on their outstanding issues.”

The event is planned for Wednesday, May 14th, and includes as speakers an associate professor from Cambridge and the chair of the Edmund Burke foundation, as well as a former undersecretary in the Italian foreign ministry.

Donald Trump finally found the one group of foreign-born refugees that the American Left doesn’t like: white South Africans.

The president welcomed a few dozen Afrikaner farmers to Washington this week, offering them refuge from deadly persecution in their home country, South Africa. The media, naturally, went crazy, implying that Trump must be a racist for bringing in white people while clamping down on the influx of non-white asylum seekers.

The Episcopal Church, the national standard-bearer for woke Christianity, ended its decades-long contract with the U.S. government to help refugees settle in America over the arrival of the Afrikaners, citing “moral opposition” to helping them resettle. The Episcopalians—a wealthy but fast-shrinking denomination whose membership in the U.S. is 90% white—are thrilled to show mercy to foreigners fleeing persecution … but not white ones.

When you’re flying in a small plane, the possibility of the pilot becoming incapacitated is usually filed in the very-unlikely-to-happen category. The Trump administration is admitting as refugees white farmers from South Africa who are being dispossessed from their lands, and in some cases murdered, by the black majority. There have been refugees for thousands of years, and legitimate refugees generally consist of family units. When there is a column of people crossing your border, and they are overwhelmingly young men, you are seeing invaders, not refugees.

American progressivism in its current form can be summarized as an ideology that claims, “we must do A or B will happen.” The A in this formula can be just about anything and often flips from positive to negative. There are times when doing A reverses and the warning is to stop doing it. On the other hand, the B factor is always a negative consequence of the first term. Usually, it is a vague suggestion that it is not just bad but the end of civilization as we know it.

The obvious example is the weather. On the grand scale, the first term will be something like driving cars or heating our homes, while the second term is climate change, which means climate disaster. If we keep driving cars the climate will change in such a way that earth dies. They never make that second term explicit, but the extinction stuff is assumed. After all, climate changes all the time and has often been to our benefit, but that just muddies the waters.

That gets to the other aspect of this formulation. The person or people involved assume that their normative evaluation of both terms is correct. They may be justifying their prejudice against A on the grounds that it leads to B, but they always assume that B is a bad thing that moral people should seek to avoid. You see this with climate change, which is recast as a moral condition, rather than an observation. It is a bad thing not a simple observation of earth’s behavior.

ABC News finally found a group of people they didn’t want to let into America: white farmers fleeing from South Africa. That much was clear during Tuesday’s Good morning America when they decried the Trump administration for allowing farmers allegedly being targeted by the South African government to be allowed into the U.S. with refugee status. Interestingly, it was the black journalists who were the most upset.

The media often conflated the crackdown on illegal border crossings and illegal immigration with an opposition to general immigration and legitimate asylum claims. That was the backdrop as senior political correspondent Rachel Scott huffed about the refugees:

But at the opening ceremony itself, Raphael and her team responded to this hatred with grace, blowing kisses and brandishing big smiles.

You know a political campaign is struggling to be heard when it resorts to shock tactics you wouldn’t want your kids to see in order to gain publicity. There’s a lot of such desperation going about, from the doom-mongering antics of Chris Packham covered in these pages here, to the promotion of transgender ideology using drag artists in primary schools, for the simple reason that campaigns generating outrage quickly polarise opinion and create a niche market of followers from which campaigners then build upon.

One of the most pernicious of such campaigns is militant veganism that masquerades as promoting animal welfare. Yet People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) – the epitome of this business model (for when you follow the money, that is what it is) – passes for a respectable organisation looking to save animals from human mistreatment, when it is anything but.

One only needs to look at the behaviour of its co-founder, Ingrid Newkirk (caged in main photo), to understand the real motives of PETA campaigns are regularly less about animal welfare and more about advancing a radical, anti-human ideology by espousing views that are not only controversial but, at times, dangerously extreme.

Homeland Security Investigations served a Title 8 subpoena to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services, which administers California’s Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants.

While the cash assistance program is a state-funded initiative, the federal subpoena seeks records from January 2021 to the present to determine whether any recipients received Supplemental Security Income benefits but who were ineligible, based on their immigration status.

The credentials committee of the Democratic National Committee voted on Monday to void the results of the internal party vote that made David Hogg a party vice chair, ruling that the election had not followed proper parliamentary procedures.

The decision — which came after roughly three hours of internal debate and one tie vote — will put the issue before the full body of the Democratic National Committee. It must decide whether to force Mr. Hogg and a second vice chair, Malcolm Kenyatta, to run again in another election later this year.

Mr. Hogg, 25, an outspoken survivor of the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Fla., has prompted a fierce backlash over his plans to spend up to $20 million through another organization he heads, Leaders We Deserve, on primary campaigns against incumbent Democrats. Ken Martin, the party chairman, has said it is inappropriate for Mr. Hogg to meddle in primaries while serving as a party official, and has recommended changing the party’s bylaws to force him to sign a neutrality pledge.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott wrote on X that his team has halted construction of a planned mixed-use development connected with East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC), one of North Texas’ largest mosques.

The 402-acre site is being transformed into a community for Muslims that includes 1,000 homes, a K-12 faith-based school, a mega mosque, elderly and assisted living, apartments, clinics, retail shops, a community college, and sports fields. It is located just 30 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.

“We’re going to demonstrate to the world what it means to be a Muslim in the West,” one of the heads of EPIC City said in a promotional video.

In a recent podcast, supporters of the proposed EPIC City development discussed plans to name streets after historic Islamic conquerors and revealed that 75% of homeowner association fees would be funneled into the mosque.

The Department of Education under President Joe Biden loosened requirements for a student loan program specifically for public servants and nonprofit employees a few months after unions that stood to benefit from the change sent a letter to then-Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

The watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust, which obtained the letter via a Freedom of Information Act request, faulted the unions for self-dealing when they demanded the Biden administration cancel the student loan debt of all public sector and nonprofit workers who completed 10 or more years of service, leaving taxpayers to pay off the balances. The revelation comes as the Department of Education under President Donald Trump is revising the program to root out alleged abuses.

The unions defended their move as keeping in line with the goal of the legislation that created the loan program. Either way, the letter arguably demonstrates unions’ large degree of influence in the Biden administration.

“These unions were lobbying for a direct financial benefit for their members at the expense of the American public,” Michael Chamberlain, director of Protect the Public’s Trust, told The Daily Signal in a statement Monday.

The federal agency tasked with protecting workers’ civil rights has moved to terminate a New York administrative judge who has resisted compliance with directives from the White House, including President Donald Trump’s executive order decreeing male and female as two “immutable” sexes.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in response to Trump’s order has moved to drop at least seven of its own pending cases representing transgender workers alleging discrimination, and is classifying all new gender identity-related discrimination cases as its lowest priority, signaling a major departure from its prior interpretation of civil rights law.

She also received notice that the EEOC leadership sought to fire her, accusing her of “profoundly unprofessional” conduct.

Media are lying about a story involving a used 747, Qatar, and Pres. Trump. And they know they are lying. A couple of weeks ago, I read this story from CNBC. The headline,

L3 Harris tapped to modify Qatari jet as potential new Air Force One after years of Boeing delays.

I’m curious about the fate of the glorious old 747 and the replacement of the aging Air Force One. At one point, the new Air Force One was to use the last two 747 airframes ever to be built. With the project years behind, and way over budget, they are/were going to try a new approach. From CNBC,

The work comes after President Donald Trump earlier this year expressed frustration about delays in modification work from Boeing. Trump struck a deal with Boeing in his first term to retrofit two 747s to serve as the next Air Force One aircraft. But after delays, the planes might not be ready before the end of his term.

Boeing’s CEO, Kelly Ortberg, said on an April 23 earnings call that “we continue to work with the customer to revise the program plan to allow for an earlier first delivery while maintaining our focus on safety and quality.”

It’s a used airplane. Two weeks ago, the transaction was reported by all the major media outlets and reported as completely benign. Nothing about the transaction has changed.

Two weeks later this is being spun as “out of the blue,” a “terrorist-supporting” Qatar is “bribing Trump” with a free “$400 million” 747 for his “personal” use.

Apparently, ABC News is the original source of this fake news. Their headline,

Bill Glahn has been chronicling the insurrection that took place in Newark on Friday. A similar, if smaller-scale, insurrection occurred in Worcester, Massachusetts on the same day.

In the Worcester rebellion, a mob of around 25 people tried to impede ICE and local authorities, who were arresting an illegal alien wanted for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a pregnant victim. The mob was incited by a Democratic Party officeholder, Etel Haxhiaj. Haxhiaj and other members of the mob assaulted police officers and ICE agents.

While the Hyde Amendment blocks federal funding from being used to directly sponsor abortions, Planned Parenthood allocates roughly $500,000 in taxpayer dollars a year to unrelated procedures as a smokescreen so they can continue slaughtering children. That’s why House Republicans are considering a reconciliation bill that would strip Medicaid funding to both Planned Parenthood and other so-called “family planning” businesses that offer to murder their customers’ babies.

Harvard University was likely in violation of civil rights law in the name of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the school practically said so, proudly, on their public website. Now they are under federal investigation.

The Washington Free Beacon’s Aaron Sibarium reported Monday that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a federal agency created to enforce civil rights law, launched an investigation into Harvard in late April over whether the school was (or continues to be) unlawfully hiring based on race and sex.

They reportedly discovered this information based not on some deep investigation into the workings of the school, but from Harvard’s own public website.

After days of missile strikes and drone assaults across the India-Pakistan border, India launched a powerful and unprecedented aerial retaliation—one that may have taken the escalating conflict to the doorstep of Pakistan’s nuclear command.

According to top Indian military officials, it was Pakistan’s sustained missile barrage and attempted drone strikes on Indian cities that triggered the Indian response. In a press briefing on 11 May 2025, Air Marshal AK Bharti revealed that India had conducted “precise, measured and calibrated” air strikes targeting key Pakistani military infrastructure, including air bases, command centers, and air defense systems across the western front.

Among the targets reportedly hit were 11 Pakistani military bases—Nur Khan, Rafiqui, Sargodha, Bholari, Murid, Chunian, Pasrur, Sukkur, Sialkot, Skardu, and Jacobabad—within a three-hour window on the night of May 9 and the morning of May 10. Notably, Chaklala Air Base, located within Islamabad and adjacent to the Nur Khan Airbase, was also struck—an operation Indian officials have described as the “turning point.”

Government sources called the strikes “hell fire,” citing significant damage to Pakistan’s air power. According to estimates shared by Air Marshal Bharti, nearly 20% of Pakistan’s Air Force infrastructure was degraded.

Secure borders and stationary populations were considered the mark of emerging civilization by classical historians. In contrast to nomadism and constant strife over disputed territory, peoples who had clearly defined and protected borders ascended to statehood, maintained a distinct culture, and achieved greater prosperity and security.

They have raised enlistment bonuses to unprecedented levels, spent fortunes on ad campaigns that feature lesbian weddings and doubled down on DEI as the answer to the crisis. And yet the crisis has grown worse.

That’s because recruitment was a self-inflicted problem caused by a woke racist military.
