She presented herself with a huge smile, her words crisp and her gaze confident as she looked across the high school auditorium of prospective voters. In bedazzled shoes, a bright red dress, and a blonde blowout, she stood assured like a pageant queen.
Friends and family donning T-shirts with the words “Make Education Great Again” sat in the front rows. They were eager to hear Michele Morrow, the Republican nominee for North Carolina superintendent of public instruction, make the case that her lack of experience in public education is just what North Carolina students need.
“I think one of my greatest qualifications is I have no experience in a failing system,” she said in the October 14 debate at a high school in Pinehurst.
Can’t say she’s wrong, although The Intercept, a thinly-disguised Voice of the Crust, suggests that she’s delusional — and even gets in a dig against Trump.

The investigation is progressing following the violent brawl that broke out on Monday, November 4th at a station in the Paris suburbs. The fight involved rival gangs who clashed with axes.
There were four victims, aged 16 and 17. Two are in a serious condition and two are slightly injured. The 16-year-old, identified as “of African origin,” was born in Guadeloupe. An axe was found at his home, and he is already known to the police.
This outburst of barbarism comes against a backdrop of rivalry between young people from Roissy-en-Brie and Ozoir-la-Ferrière, rekindled ten days ago by the beating of a young man from Ozoir. This episode led to what looked like an ambush on the morning of the start of the new school year, according to a witness on the train who told Le Parisien that he saw men in black hoods rush into the carriage and prevent the doors from closing by pulling the alarm. According to him, the victims were young people from Roissy, and the assailants knew that they usually travelled in the last carriage of the train. That is where the axe attack took place. “They knew that young people from Roissy got on at the back and were hiding at the beginning of the platform at that level,” explains the witness, who believes that it was a reprisal.
Some policemen have different hypotheses about the cities where the young people come from, but the conclusion is the same for everyone. As the article in Le Parisien points out, the gang war is certainly not over. “I also heard the friends of the injured shouting: ‘By Allah, we’re going to get even! We’re going to kill you,’” added the witness.
France didn’t have gang wars before they started importing thugs from Turd World countries.
Imagine how peaceful the world would be if the Religion of Peace didn’t exist.

At the Paris Olympic Games, an Algerian boxer made headlines after violently beating one competitor, Italian Angela Carini, and going on to win the women’s welterweight gold medal, amid strong suspicions about ‘her’ real sex. Evidence now released from a medical file proves us, and others right: Imane Khelif is indeed a biological male.
The investigation was conducted by journalist Djaffer Ait Aoudia for Le Correspondant. It indicates that Khelif was allowed to compete for ideological reasons, despite medical evidence and notions of sporting fairness.
The investigative journalist was able to obtain a copy of Imane Khelif’s medical records from two hospitals: the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital in Paris and the Mohamed Lamine Debaghine hospital in Algiers, where the athlete is monitored by renowned endocrinology specialists.

You’ve probably noticed that several of ComNavOps’ fictional stories revolve around the Philippines. This is not by random chance. The strategic value of the Philippines cannot be overstated. The country, along with Taiwan, forms two gigantic ‘forts’ that China must deal with in any war.
From China’s perspective, those two countries act as forward enemy bases that dominate the surrounding seas and impact any operations the Chinese would attempt. Their removal from the strategic equations is imperative. Ideally, China would turn the tables by seizing both countries and using them as forts against any American response.
Taiwan’s seizure (or ‘reunification’ as the Chinese would euphemistically put it) is absolutely mandatory for both strategic and cultural reasons. Wisely or foolishly, China’s leadership has linked themselves to the seizure of Taiwan as a national and cultural imperative. For those reasons, Taiwan will be the first operation in any war.

Several left-wing district attorneys could find themselves out of a job after Tuesday’s election as voters voice their frustration with an explosion in crime ripping through their communities, including three California jurisdictions.
With many progressive prosecutors on the ballot this election, polling and fundraising data shows that voters are rejecting soft-on-crime policies across the nation with their ballots and wallets, according to multiple reports.
Crime remains one of the most important issues, with 75% of voters saying crime is very or somewhat important to their decision in the 2024 election, according to a Gallup poll released Oct. 9.

The Other McCain.
As advocates of the new Georgia law have repeatedly said, it makes it easier to vote, but harder to cheat — and it’s that latter aspect of the law that Abrams and other Democrats deplore. There was massive “ballot harvesting” in Georgia in 2020, but they won’t be able to play that trick this year, which is one reason why Team Trump feels pretty confident about Georgia. Another factor that should help Trump in Georgia is the disgrace of Fani Willis, whose RICO case against Trump got wrecked in the courts. Let me put this as gently as possible — there’s Atlanta, and then there’s the rest of Georgia. Folks out in the hinterlands of Georgia don’t want anything to do with Atlanta, and Fani Willis is a perfect example of why people in the rest of Georgia despise Atlanta.

The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency reportedly has at least one mysterious system capable of “covertly (and nonviolently)” disabling ships, including very large ones. The secret system is said to have been considered for use against fuel tankers sailing between Venezuela and Cuba during President Donald Trump’s term in office.
A mention of the CIA ship-disabling system is included in a detailed exposé about the Trump administration’s unsuccessful efforts to overthrow dictatorial Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro that Wired published on October 31 and is worth reading in full. The report describes a host of efforts that the U.S. government and foreign partners undertook to try to unseat Maduro between 2018 and 2020. This includes a cyber attack on the payroll system for Venzeuzla’s armed forces, sabotage raids by Colombian operatives targeting the Venezuelan Air Force’s Russian-made Sukhoi Su-30 fighters, and support for opposition leader Juan Guaido’s attempt to overthrow Maduro’s government.

A fight involving around 15 people has left four minors, travelling to school in Ozoir-la-Ferrièreto, north-central France, injured—two of them seriously. The violent attack prompted one of Marine Le Pen’s MPs to criticise the ruling class for “the same silence and stammering.”
One victim had several fingers cut off and another had his skull split open after the attackers—reportedly armed with several bladed weapons, including a knife, axe, and katana, as well as baseball bats—boarded an RER E train at around 8:00 a.m. on Monday. A 16-year-old, who has been identified as the main suspect, was later arrested at his home, where police seized an axe and a knife. Frontieres Media Editor-in-Chief Jules Laurans reported on X that the suspect is “of African origin” (“de type africain”).

The far-right political influencer James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, has reportedly assembled a group of election personnel and monitors in the US to secretly film voting and ballot counting procedures on election day.
To The Guardian, there is no right but the far-right.
According to documents given by a whistleblower to the New York Times, the people involved would use hidden cameras “to record and then publicise video to support their claims of fraud and irregularities” at polling locations.
Such transparency is of course anathema to the Left.

YouTube is still suppressing ongoing discussions on the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and treatment nearly five years after the start of the pandemic.
Eagle Forum hosted its Eagle Council 52 conference last month, which featured a plethora of speakers including renowned cardiologist and epidemiologist Dr. Peter McCullough. During his speech, Dr. McCullough mentioned some of the most pernicious impacts of the COVID-19 virus and vaccines. He also noted how censorship continues to impact discussions surrounding health and the pandemic. YouTube, however, censored Eagle Forum’s video of Dr. McCullough’s speech for allegedly “violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.”
Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman blasted YouTube for its censorship in exclusive comments to MRC Free Speech America. “Dr. McCullough spoke eloquently about the dangers to medicine and science when certain opinions are silenced. The idea that YouTube can censor a practicing doctor, who actually treated COVID patients, is outrageous,” she said.

Multiple counties in California’s San Francisco Bay Area region reinstated mask mandates in health care settings starting Nov. 1, while other municipalities have recommended face coverings.
Counties with mask requirements for employees include San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Napa, and San Mateo. But Santa Clara County, which includes San Jose, and San Mateo County also require visitors and patients in those health care facilities to wear masks.
Those mandates, which were announced weeks or months ago, run from Nov. 1, 2024, until March 31, 2025. A similar mandate was imposed across the Bay Area during the 2023–24 winter and spring months.

The latest crime reported by the Kenner Police Department on Oct. 29 involved a 17-year-old old illegal immigrant who was arrested for sex crimes involving two minors in the city. Two additional minors were also found to be abused, Police Capt. Mike Cunningham told The Epoch Times on Oct. 30.
Luis Renan Bonilla-Alfaro allegedly inappropriately touched four minors aged 4 to 13 and performed sexual acts with them in a trailer park.
Bonilla-Alfaro confessed and admitted that he filmed the acts with the minors. Kenner Police found sexually explicit videos on his phone of him and the minors.
“We have identified two additional victims, one of whom was the unidentified we found on [the] suspect’s phone,” said Cunningham. “A total of four victims, all under the age of 13, all males.”

Henley & Partners, a firm that advises the wealthy on international migration, says that the total number of inquiries by affluent Americans to move abroad surged 500% in the first ten months of 2024 compared with the same period of 2020. Most inquiries are by folks who fear political and social unrest regardless of who wins next Tuesday.
“The primary driver for US citizens looking outside the country is political uncertainty,” Basil Mohr-Elzeki, managing director at Henley & Partners, told Bloomberg.
Basil said clients are spending up to 10% of their net worth on residency and citizenship programs, some of which can cost millions of dollars. More than 40 countries, including the US, have these residency-by-investment programs, also called “golden visas.”
Artur Saraiva, Henley & Partners’ co-founder, explained that “a lot of Americans at the moment” are speaking with us about second passports or long-term residencies abroad as the US presidential election cycle ends in just days.
He noted that surging demand for dual citizenship comes from clients across the political spectrum, including registered Democrats and Republicans, with many fearing socio-economic turmoil regardless of who wins.

I guess the science really isn’t settled after all.
UCLA chemists have discovered a major flaw in a fundamental rule of organic chemistry that has held for 100 years. They say it’s time to rewrite the textbooks.
Organic molecules, which are primarily made of carbon, have specific shapes and arrangements of atoms. Molecules called olefins contain double bonds, or alkenes, between two carbon atoms. Typically, these atoms and their attached groups lie in the same 3D plane, and deviations from this structure are rare.
The rule being questioned, known as Bredt’s rule, was established in 1924. It asserts that molecules cannot have a double bond at the “bridgehead” position—the junction of a bridged bicyclic molecule—because this position would distort the geometry of the double bond. Bredt’s rule has constrained the design of synthetic molecules by preventing chemists from creating certain structures. Since olefins play a critical role in pharmaceutical research, Bredt’s rule has limited the types of molecules that scientists could envision, potentially holding back innovations in drug discovery.

If you’re eagerly following discoveries from genetics, this year might have seemed a bit more sedated than last year. After all, 2022 saw a Nobel Prize awarded for innovation in ancient DNA, researchers uncovered a Neandertal family from mere bone fragments, and a team carried out a major study of ancient genomes from eastern Africa.
This year saw a lot of research consolidation, with continued progress along well-established lines. This year saw many research studies that are in this category of “filling in the map” of ancient DNA, especially within the last 3000 years. These included ancient DNA genotyping from Scandinavia, Tibet, the east coast of Africa, northwest Africa, the Aegean, and many more. In a preprint released this year, Swapan Mallick and collaborators have described the Allen Ancient DNA Resource, a database that now includes more than 10,000 individuals.
Building out the database of ancient DNA is undeniably valuable. But even more fascinating are the discoveries that allow us to look at biology, social dynamics, and evolution in new ways.

The extremely profitable inner workings of digital addiction are complex, but the business model is simple: collect user data and sell it to advertisers. The more users you addict, oops I mean attract, and the more time they spend on your platform, the more money you make.
The raison d’etre of social media / search (SM/S) is to collect user data to sell to the highest bidder. To maximize profits, the SM/S platforms stimulate users to post more content and spend more time “engaging” (i.e. creating user data) on their platform.

Win or lose, fans of the Philly Eagles go out into the street and smash things. Whoever wins on Election Day, leftists will smash things. The election only determines whether they smash up the country from the inside or the outside. Forget all the theory and all the empty policy promises.
It’s not about equity, democracy, free college, funding terrorists, defunding the police, breaking the glass ceiling, or any of the other suits the naked emperors and empresses wear. When the champagne corks and pills have been popped, the desire underneath is to destroy it all.
Mediocre elites created leftism by sublimating their narcissistic drive to destroy everything superior to them into the revolutionary politics of a purported underclass. But the elites are the oppressed underclass they’ve been waiting for. They fight for their own right to seize power.
And they don’t stop fighting once they get it.

common criticism of modern progressive activism – the movement that has come to be called woke – is that it is religious. What is meant by this is that progressives have an all-encompassing worldview which purports to have explanatory power, and direct application, across all domains of life, from politics to art to personal relationships. At the risk of over-simplification, the keystone of this belief system is that social and political relations should be understood primarily in terms of power dynamics, and that there is a powerful class of oppressive and controlling persons, the proverbial straight white Christian men, who must be resisted by the rest, a ragtag rebel coalition of oppressed minorities and their allies.
Not everyone accepts the characterisation of wokeism as akin to religious belief, for various reasons. It seems to me a useful if not perfect way of understanding how left-wing politics has developed in the last decade or so. But regardless of how persuasive we find that framing, there is one important respect in which wokeism, for want of a better word, is quite unlike religion, or at least quite unlike Christianity, which remains the background religious noise in the countries where identity politics is most strongly embedded.
The vital difference is that progressive morality has no consistently defined content, and no clear pathway to reconciliation and restoration. US vice-presidential candidate JD Vance noted this in his recent interview with the podcaster Joe Rogan. He put it this way: “What most world religions have, but the woke stuff doesn’t have, is forgiveness….it has the excommunication part, but it doesn’t have the redemption part.”

Make no mistake, the recent scourge of inflation and high interest rates has been a heist buried beneath economic jargon.
It has transferred a tremendous amount of wealth from hardworking Americans to the federal government.
The root cause of this disaster—reckless government spending and money-printing—should serve as a reminder that the federal deficit is the bank robber, the Fed is the getaway car driver, and you are the bank.
The past few years have seen consumer goods prices increase more than they had in the prior 30 years, while staggering price increases for construction materials have helped push homeownership out of reach for tens of millions of Americans.

The dark money flowing into the well-funded Democrat coffers through the ActBlue platform is not only under scrutiny, but it is also on the ballot in congressional races Tuesday, the New York Post’s Editorial Board warned Saturday.
The Republican-held House under Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., is joining even President Joe Biden’s Justice Department in investigating allegations of illegal donations — including potential millions coming unlawfully from foreign entities — but if Republicans do not win Tuesday, accountability could remain in limbo from an investigation under a Democrat-controlled Congress, legal watchers said.
“If Dems take the White House and Congress, America can say goodbye to any chance of that ever happening,” the Post Editorial Board wrote Saturday.

Inquiring minds want to know.
I found this interesting for a number of reasons. Firstly, this sort of thing is uniquely American. I can’t imagine Europeans or Asians or Africans doing this sort of content for a public video medium; I doubt that it would even occur to them. Secondly, I was impressed by the fact that, even though they went into the tests biased (a bias that they freely admitted), the tests showed results that were contrary to that bias, and they reported it fairly. If one believes all the complaints voiced everywhere about ‘social media’, the chances of that happening would have been negligible. Thirdly, it astonishes me that, in this world, in this country, there are people who are willing to devote so much time and effort to something so unquestionably fringe. I am reluctant to believe that there is a market for this kind of thing, but there obviously is. Fourthly — can you imagine how a garden-variety ‘journalist’ would react to seeing this? THAT would be comedy.

There were two snipers posted inside the second floor of the AGR building used by alleged gunman Thomas Crooks to shoot at Donald Trump. Both failed to spot Crooks before his assassination attempt.
Ever since then, excuses have been made for the failure of the local snipers, Greg Nicol and Mike Murcko. Local officials have insisted that the snipers didn’t have a vantage of Crooks, and would have had to lean out of their windows to see him on the rooftop. Meanwhile, some media members have reported rumors that Nicol locked himself out of the building while searching for Crooks—and that the shooting happened right when Murcko went downstairs to let him back inside.
However, a time-stamped transcript of encrypted radio communications from July 13 tells a different story—showing that both Murcko and Nicol received warnings about an armed man on the rooftop at least seven seconds before he opened fire, and that Murcko radioed that Crooks was down after the shooting. The transcript further reveals other new details about the July 13 Butler rally, raising still more questions in the process.

If swing-state Nevada goes for Donald Trump in 2024, a decisive role may be played by a critical but widely under-examined constituency: ex-Californians who fled spiraling West Coast leftism and are now nudging Nevada rightward, Politico reports.
Early voting data from Nevada has already sent Republican hopes of securing the state’s six electoral votes soaring. Through Thursday — the penultimate day of early voting — the number of registered Republicans who’ve cast a ballot exceeds the Democrats’ tally by 47,300, or 5.1 percent. That’s a complete turning of the tables, as it’s usually Democrats who’ve banked a majority of the votes before Election Day. The GOP has built that lead not through the mail, but by a level of Republican in-person turnout that veteran Nevada political reporter and full-on leftist Jon Ralston has called “startling.”

There is no surer sign that Trump has this in the bag. Stores and restaurants boarding up and moving on ahead of the obvious massive layoffs about to hit the most corrupt and inefficient jurisdiction in American history. Families will have to move out of their potholes because not enough drivers will fall in to financially maintain them. There will be no one left to maintain the walls and fences that make our brutally corrupt Congress tenable. Who will feed the troops guarding them from righteous citizens’ rage? Now that DC is no longer significant, who will come visit the monuments and museums?
This is actually good news. Anyone who has ever lived in the DC area knows that the city was built in a wetland. A literal swamp. Being ecology minded, I have lobbied for years to remove the buildings and restore the glorious, pristine Okefenokee ambiance spoiled by all of those imperialist invaders. No more Cheneys or Pelosis or Schiffs or Wrays or Comeys or, well, it’s a long, pugnacious list.
Save DC. Save the planet. Vote Trump.

At least a dozen women’s and girls’ sports teams have forfeited games against teams with biological male players without consequences, but one team has been kicked out of its league for almost a year for refusing to play a team with a transgender-identifying player.
Mid Vermont Christian School in Burlington, Vermont, forfeited a girls’ high school basketball game in November 2023 against a team that had a male athlete playing for it. The Vermont Principals’ Association resultantly kicked Mid Vermont Christian out of the association and denied it public funding through the state’s tuition program.
But other teams across the country have faced no penalties for declining to play teams with biological male players.

The American Mind.
It’s easy to forget the litany of ways that the institutional Left and our “representatives” in government have repeatedly betrayed the American people over the last eight years. There’s no need to single out individuals. “They” are legion: the Democrats, the compromised courts that ignore or invent the law, the Intelligence Community that interferes in our elections, the leftist foot soldiers burning and looting our cities, the unelected “experts” who try to rule Americans by fiat, the “non-government organizations,” Big Tech, the useful idiots, and corporate media that lie to us about all of it.
As the election approaches, citizens should once again take inventory of the long train of abuses we have endured by that dishonorable group.
