A North African culture-enricher made a nuisance of himself on Wednesday at the Gare du Nord in Paris by waving a sharp object around and inadvertently injuring six people.
During the incident the unfortunate “youth” reportedly shouted “Allahu Akhbar”, which is Arabic for “I have a known history of psychological problems.”

A court has ordered a military-aged Moroccan man who illegally entered Spanish territory by boat and who is accused of having raped and beaten a 60-year-old woman to remain in prison while he awaits trial, sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands say. He faces charges of sexual assault, robbery with violence, and injuries and threats.
The Moroccan man, aged 25, was arrested by agents from Spain’s National Police last Wednesday, January 4th, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife—a city on the island of Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands—a mere five days after he had arrived on the Spanish islands, La Gaceta de la Iberosfera reports.
In the old days he would have been strung up from a nearby lamp-post and that would have been the end of it.
Sometimes the old ways are best.

When I’m asked why I never had kids, my standard answer is, I’ve spent my life in mortal fear of being tethered to another human in a manner from which I can’t legally walk away if I choose.
That’s an honest answer, but it’s not the complete one. The second part, which I always leave out, is that I was petrified of having a tard. There’s no history of tardiness in my family. But no matter your family history, having kids is always a roll of the DNA dice, and I couldn’t face the possibility of having a child who would be, shall we say, more work and less payoff.
Yes, that’s a terribly unflattering thing to admit. But it’s true.
My younger brother is a proglodyte. That’s not officially a tard, but the ultimate effect is the same. That’s one out of three of my parents’ kids. Not a chance I’m willing to take.

Three Cherokee tribes are pushing aggressively for the U.S. government to make good on a nearly 200-year-old promise to award them a sitting delegate in the House of Representatives.
But, sensing that lawmakers may finally act amid the Biden administration’s historic advances in Native American causes, they’re also quietly competing against each other for the largely ceremonial seat. And so they have done what those in search of Washington influence often do: hired a bevy of consultants, lawyers and K Street types to push their cause.

A Democratic state lawmaker in Colorado resigned Sunday, weeks after facing felony charges alleging she falsified her residency to run in her district again following last year’s redistricting.
Prosecutors say Tracey Bernett, who represented part of Boulder County in the Colorado House of Representatives, lied in sworn documents when she said she lived in an apartment within the new boundaries of her district. The apartment allegedly went unused, accumulating “cobwebs,” according to police, while Bernett continued living in her old home outside the new district boundaries, CPR News reported.

It’s the second major terror attack in a matter of weeks. The Taliban’s information ministry described that the bomber attempted to enter the foreign ministry at a moment a Chinese delegation was meeting with Taliban officials there.

Get ready for the riots to break out… France’s government has just proposed raising the legal retirement age as it embarks on significant reforms to the pension system, and not for the first time. The Macron government going years back was already met with fierce pushback and anger upon earlier similar proposals and major overhaul attempts. The plan was unveiled Tuesday by Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, and proposes raising legal retirement age from 62 to 64 by 2030.

Coercion in the cause of banning fossil fuels is no vice for the Biden Administration, which is now coming after cooks. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) could soon ban gas stoves.
CPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. teased in an interview with Bloomberg News this week that the agency plans to propose new regulations for gas stoves, which could include a ban. “This is a hidden hazard,” Mr. Trumka said. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
Mr. Trumka isn’t worried that gas stoves might cause accidental burns—a hidden hazard for electric range-tops that stay hot long after they’re turned off. Instead, the agency’s purported concern is that gas stoves cause indoor air pollution and asthma, though there’s scant evidence to support such claims.
Evidence? We don’t need no stinkin’ evidence!

Last week, following the release of December’s jobs data by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Biden crowed that “Real wages are up in recent months … and we are seeing welcome signs that inflation is coming down as well.” Biden concluded by saying “it’s a good time to be a worker in America.”
Unfortunately, things aren’t nearly as good as the White House and its accomplices in the corporate media would have us believe.
It’s only a “good time” to be a worker in America if one equates falling real wages and falling full-time employment with “robust” employment conditions.
Moreover, the numbers that the administration continued to cherry-pick to burnish its political image are themselves quite suspect. Response rates to employment surveys sent out by the BLS have gone into steep decline, and the Philadelphia Federal Reserve has recently accused the BLS of vastly overstating employment growth in 2022.
