Bodies are still being recovered from a clandestine grave in Mexico’s Veracruz state that a local prosecutor says could turn out to be the largest in the country. Jorge Winckler Ortiz, the state attorney general of Veracruz, says that at one large site, 250 skulls have been found, with more excavation to be done.
Winckler says the bodies are those of people murdered by gangs, with the complicity of the government. He added that officials had also deceived families who asked for help in identifying whether their missing loved ones might be in the graves.
But of course we don’t need a wall! Open the borders! Let ’em all in! What could go wrong?

The hand-wringers all swear that we are reliving Weimar Germany and Trump is the 12th invisible Hitler the prophecies foretold. The inevitable result is the Cossacks galloping through the streets of Jewish neighborhoods. Maybe so, but I’m skeptical. Trump seems to get along well with the Tribe and he seems to love his Jewish grandchildren. He has quite a few Jewish advisers and business partners. Maybe they are not making Hitlers like they used to, but my hunch is he is not Hitler and we are not Weimar Germany.
…
Whites in American have never been anti-Semitic and have largely accepted the reality of Jewish success in America. In fact, most whites take some pride in it, seeing it as validation of America’s meritocratic culture. The millions of Muslims being imported will obviously be hostile to this arrangement. Hispanics and Asians don’t seem to care. Progressive whites, on the other hand, are increasingly anti-Semitic, suggesting there is a war brewing among the Cloud People. The Democrats coming close to putting Keith Ellison in charge is a good example.

When politicians prose on about ‘working families’, what they really mean (without feeling empowered to say so) is ‘working class families’.
So, I pulled out the General Social Survey (GSS), which has been asking thousands of Americans every year or so all about their lives, political identifications, and voting patterns. I decided to see if there were differences within the working class based on type of working-class job, and not on education, race or income level. Working-class jobs are those with little autonomy and often involving the use of one’s body – to wield a hammer, carry a baby, deliver a package from Amazon, stand all day greeting customers. These jobs are held by a very diverse group of people; there are more people of color in the working class than in the middle or upper class. When I refer to “the working class,” I mean this whole diverse group, not only white male workers.

Let’s first dispense with some of the myths behind Daylight Saving Time (DST). Many people assume we enacted DST to help farmers. That’s nonsense. Most of my relatives who aren’t in prison are farmers. I have no idea what time they wake up in the morning because whenever I visit they’ve already eaten lunch by the time I’m mixing a hangover cure. They rise before dawn to feed the cows, mow the corn, construct scarecrows, etc. All without directives from Congress.
Daylight Saving Time came about because of World War I. Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States all pushed our clocks forward to better coordinate waking hours with light bulb use, thereby conserving electricity. The program lapsed until World War II, when President Franklin Roosevelt instituted “War Time Zones,” which were basically the same thing, only with a cooler-sounding name. Astonishingly, despite originating as a temporary FDR government program, War Time Zones actually ceased at the conclusion of the war. Thereafter time zones defaulted to municipalities until 1966, when Congress enacted a permanent annual Daylight Saving Time, in part to standardize the plethora of discordant clocks across the nation.
Today all of these reasons are outdated. We probably won’t go to war with Germany again for another 20 or 30 years. And all of the economic benefits seem to cancel each other out. While we saved about 1 percent on electricity when first enacting DST, that figure is now offset by an increase in air conditioning. The idea that we’ll all revert back to discordant municipal time zones set by the sundial in our mayor’s front yard is utter nonsense. Everyone I know owns a smartphone, set automatically by a clutch of nerds in Cupertino.

After all, if it takes a village to raise a child, most villages in the world are illiterate anyway.
Prospective teachers in New York will likely no longer have to pass a basic reading and writing literacy exam, the Associated Press is reporting.
The state’s Board of Regents is expected to ditch the Academic Literacy Skills Test in part because black and Hispanic teaching candidates struggled to pass the exam, according to the AP.
The rights of Official Victims to a job surely outweighs the rights of some random kids to get taught.

Americans are constantly warned by mainstream media that our prejudices and intolerance radicalize Muslims.
…
This powder-keg narrative is so ingrained that it recurs almost reflexively after every terror attack. And yet the much-predicted anti-Muslim backlash never materializes, in spite of a veritable industry promoting the idea.
In point of fact, American society is incredibly tolerant of Muslims and even Islamists. FBI statistics still show that most anti-religious hate crimes in the US are perpetrated against Jews. Even in the days following the election of Donald Trump, when the media was ablaze with talk of anti-Muslim backlash, Muslims constituted just 6 percent of “hate crimes” documented by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), one of the loudest voices warning of so-called “Islamophobia” in recent years.
What has been occurring with increasing regularity, though, is the appearance of a backlash against Muslims perpetrated by Muslims themselves.

The student union at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) insists that when studying philosophy “the majority of philosophers on our courses” should be from Africa and Asia.
That makes a certain degree of sense.
The union said it is part of wider campaign to “decolonise” the university, as it seeks to “address the structural and epistemological legacy of colonialism”.
That, however, does not.
It comes after education leaders warned that universities will be forced to pander to the demands of “snowflake” students, however unreasonable they might be.
Lot of that going around.

More than 61 percent of voters cast ballots in counties that gave either Clinton or Trump at least 60 percent of the major-party vote last November. That’s up from 50 percent of voters who lived in such counties in 2012 and 39 percent in 1992 — an accelerating trend that confirms that America’s political fabric, geographically, is tearing apart.
Of the nation’s 3,113 counties (or county equivalents), just 303 were decided by single-digit margins — less than 10 percent. In contrast, 1,096 counties fit that description in 1992, even though that election featured a wider national spread.1 During the same period, the number of extreme landslide counties — those decided by margins exceeding 50 percentage points — exploded from 93 to 1,196, or over a third of the nation’s counties.

Probably not. They’re everywhere, like foot-fungus.
In the meantime, this week was the Day Without “Some” Women. Hopefully, next we’ll get a day without liberal men, too. We saw lefties proclaim that women shouldn’t work on International Women’s Day, essentially arguing that the way for women to get ahead is for them to skip work. That’s advice given by no boss ever. But it worked for the lazy lefties of Alexandria, Va., who opted out of teaching the children and decided to make parents do the job they were paid to do.
Our friends over at Fusion even bothered to interview some of the strikers in a piece headlined oh so subtly: “Talking to 11 NYC women (and one man) on Women’s Day about striking, Trump, and why capitalism sucks.” Yes, this is the site of an actual, alleged news organization. Anyhow, the comments from strikers include: When one couple was asked “Is this your first protest?” the “reporter” got an illuminating answer: “No! We try to go to one every week. We’re retired now.”
That cuts to the heart of the alt-lefty protest movement and why media and especially Republicans on the Hill need to ignore it. It’s not a tidal wave of growing opposition, it’s a group of people who do it as a vocation or even a vacation. Here’s the rest of the actual quote: “Sunday it was Standing Rock. [To her wife] Honey, what was the other one we went to on Saturday? There was Not My President, Planned Parenthood. Oh—and every day we make calls to our representatives in Minnesota.”

For Disney, Mickey Mouse is not just a huge money maker, but the company’s most coveted piece of intellectual property. Mickey is Disney, and Disney is Mickey: the two are simply one and the same, and nothing is more important to Disney than his well-being. (“I love Mickey Mouse more than any woman I have ever known,” Walt Disney once famously said).
For this reason, Disney has done everything in its power to make sure it retains the copyright on Mickey — even if that means changing federal statutes. Every time Mickey’s copyright is about to expire, Disney spends millions lobbying Congress for extensions, and trading campaign contributions for legislative support. With crushing legal force, they’ve squelched anyone who attempts to disagree with them.
The only way to create a monopoly that lasts is through government.

Taxpayers funded eight nonprofits that serve, protect or advocate for illegal immigrants with more than $291 million between 2012 to 2016, according to an analysis of federal spending data and tax documents by the Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group.
The eight groups — including at least one that endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016 — provide a variety of support to illegal aliens, ranging from legal and social services to political advocacy.
Ninety-four percent of the public funds — or, nearly $274 million — came from the federal government, according to data obtained from USAspending.gov and 990 tax forms.
The $291 million total in public funding, however, is almost certainly an underestimate, since the respective 990s of each implicated nonprofit for all five years were not always available. Additionally, those groups only represent a small sample of publicly-funded pro-illegal immigrant nonprofits.

CBS demonstrated its list of priorities during Thursday’s CBS Evening News when the network completely ignored a violent and bloody ax attack in one of Germany’s largest train stations. Instead of reporting on the attack in Dusseldorf, “where five people were wounded [and] one seriously,” anchor Scott Pelley wasted roughly 18 seconds reporting on “a rising tide of popularity has made water the bestselling drink in America.”
That’s right. Instead of reporting on a possible terrorist attack, one of the Big Three networks was reporting on how well water sells. “An industry research group told us today that the average American drank more than 39 gallons of bottled water last year, compared to 38 and a half gallons of soda,” Pelley continued in his brief.

There’s a scene in the 1976 film The Pink Panther Strikes Again in which the nations of the world send their top assassins to eliminate Inspector Clouseau. One by one the assassins take their best shot, and time and again Clouseau survives (and the assassins die) due entirely to pure luck on the inspector’s part. That was the thing about Clouseau; unlike Sherlock Holmes, who would prevail through intelligence and skill, Clouseau could always be counted on to stumble out of danger and pratfall his way to victory. And the bad guys, no matter how smart they were, no matter how skilled, couldn’t beat him.
I’ll be frank; I still can’t decide whether Trump is Holmes or Clouseau. But the sonofabitch always wins, and his enemies always lose in spectacular fashion, and it’s making for a presidency that’s far more enjoyable to watch than any Hollywood movie.

As we all know, IQ gaps don’t exist, but it they did exist, they would be the fault of the book The Bell Curve for noticing them and thus causing Stereotype Threat. For example, Charles Murray’s malignant influence is so all-pervasive it reaches all the way into the slums of Copenhagen where he singlehandedly caused Denmark’s draftees of non-Western background to score about a standard deviation lower than Denmark’s conscripts of Western ancestry.

ZMan lays out some inconvenient truth.
People instinctively understand a basic truth about education. That is, the quality of product coming in dictates the quality of product coming out. Despite generations of lectures from our betters, we still know that the apple does not fall far from the tree. If the parents are low-IQ losers, the kids are most likely going to be low-IQ losers. The schools are not correcting this. In fact, it is the opposite, because the other old saying about apples is also true. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.
Everyone, including our hypothetical real estate agent, is too polite and too afraid to say what this means as a practical matter. For instance, I knew someone who lived in a mostly Jewish suburban neighborhood of starter homes. These were townhouses and ranchers. A black family moved in next door and they got along well with everyone. Then another black family moved in, but it was ghetto time, with parties into the late hours. Suddenly, the neighborhood sprouted “for sale” signs and the demographics changed within one summer.
…
With enforced diversity came the police state and that is not a coincidence.
Free association is illegal now. If a real estate agent is too obvious in how they handle these things, they face disciplinary action from the real estate board. A homeowner, who refuses to sell or rent to whoever shows up, can easily find themselves in front of a judge. Freedom of association is no longer a right in America. Everyone has to seek permission from the state before they can make these decisions. That means finding a place to live has become a game of cat and mouse for middle-class families.

Steve Sailer follows the money.
It was a bad week for the Southern Poverty Law Center, America’s self-appointed witch-sniffers-in-chief. For decades, the SPLC, despite its comic history of money-grubbing and out-of-control vilification, has been treated by the mainstream media as the unquestionable authority about who the Bad Guys are.
Finally, however, doubts have been allowed to surface about an organization that is in reality America’s richest hate group (with financial assets of $302,800,000).
Since the American people elected Donald Trump, the SPLC has been doing what the SPLC does best—whipping up fear and loathing among both violence-prone young thugs and elderly, affluent, easily confused Jewish donors nervous that the Cossacks will soon be riding through the streets of Brookline.
But the SPLC stumbled into two embarrassments last week.

As we reported yesterday, the pro-Trump rally in Denver on Saturday March 4 was attended, but not disrupted, by European-style Antifas, or “anti-fascists”. Similar “March 4” rallies were held across the country, and Antifa groups — dressed in the same hip grungy black-masked outfits, carrying the same flags and banners — showed up at many of the other ones. These groups had no noticeable presence in the United States before Inauguration Day, and now they are being deployed everywhere to counter with their menacing presence any support for President Trump.
It’s as if they sprang into existence fully-formed, like Athena from the head of Zeus. Such uniformity of appearance and simultaneous deployments at multiple locations are further evidence that the entire operation is being funded, controlled, and coordinated internationally on both sides of the Atlantic.
