A few days ago we posted a hidden-camera video aired by TV2 in Denmark. It featured an imam at the Grimhøj Mosque who justified various acts of violence — including the death penalty for apostasy — based on Koranic instructions.

We have followed the saga of the “Minnesota men” indicted on terrorism charges as they sought to leave the United States to join ISIS. ON slightly closer examination, these “Minnesota men” turn out to be Somali Muslims seeking to join the jihad abroad. I wrote about them in the Weekly Standard article “The threat from Minnesota men” and in the Star Tribune column “Islam and Minnesota: Can we hear some straight talk for a change?” I followed up on Power Line in several posts and in the series “Islamophobia in one state.”

The number of “Minnesota men” charged in last year’s indictments reached nine or ten. Ringleader Abdirizak Warsame was the last man charged. Before he sought to join ISIS, he worked for two employers on the tarmac at the Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport. An FBI informant recorded him aspiring to blow planes out of the sky with rocket-propelled grenades. We still don’t know how his employment at the airport came to an end.

Christians in the Middle East and Africa are dismayed to discover that the increasing anti-Christian violence by local Islamic conservatives and terrorists is largely being ignored in the West. One of the worst examples is Nigeria where, since 2004 over a million Christians living in the Moslem majority north of the country have been chased from their homes and over 10,000 of them killed by Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram. Nearly all the Moslems killed in the north are victims of Boko Haram and most of the few Moslems killed by northern Christians are Boko Haram men killed by self-defense militias protecting their homes and families.

Boko Haram literally means “Western education is forbidden” and to many Islamic terrorists nothing is more “Western” and forbidden than Christianity. This despite the fact that Christianity has been around a lot longer than Islam. Often, as in Nigeria, the first invaders were Moslems not Christians. In Nigeria the south is largely Christian while the north is largely Moslem. But for over a century Moslem tribes from the north have been moving south looking for more grazing lands and consider it an economic and religious duty to chase out any Christian tribes in the way.

A “Danish” imam named Abu Bilal Ismail has caused a sensation after a series of hidden-camera videos aired on TV2. In his capacity as an imam at the Grimhøj Mosque, Mr. Ismail called for the stoning of adulterers, the killing of apostates, and other violent policies. If he were not a member of a protected culture-enriching minority, he would surely have been prosecuted for his publicly-expressed sentiments.

The source of their justification for attacking unbelievers comes not only from the Qur’an, but also their other sacred text found in the Sira or biography of Mohammad and the Hadiths or traditions. When people (usually liberals ) ask where in the Qur’an is there support for violence against the kafir, this really shows their limited understanding about Political Islam. The Qur’an is just one of three books. The Hadiths must also be thoroughly be examined to gain a fuller understanding of the Islamic agenda. All three books support violent Jihad against the unbelievers.

Reminder for the dimwitted: Islam is an oppressive totalitarian ideology in the guise of a religion with which no co-existence is possible.

In the summer of 2014, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) upheld previously passed French legislation, popularly known as the “burqa ban.” In doing so, it accepted the argument that the public wearing of this Islamically-connected full-body and face veiling violated a core value of French society, the principle of “living together” (le vivre ensemble). A review of how the court arrived at this conclusion, and what other arguments against the burqa it chose to ignore, may offer clues as to what forebodes for European Union societies and their relations with burgeoning Muslim populations.

The following video discusses the plight of Christians in German “refugee” accommodations, which are dominated by Muslims. Christian residents are persecuted — harassed, beaten, and threatened with death — for wearing crosses or otherwise practicing their faith. Some of them have been forced to leave the asylum centers and find refuge in churches.

There’s a scene in an old Pogo book in which Owl and Pogo are playing the parts of comrades living under Soviet rule. Pogo is a peasant, and Owl is a minor functionary, an apparatchik. Owl tells Pogo he once yelled “Down with the government!” — into a paper bag. To prove his story, he fetches the paper bag and opens it. Out of the paper bag bursts a speech balloon that says: “Hooray for the government!”

Owl says sheepishly, “I disguised it a li’l bit.”

That’s what the video below reminds me of. It was recorded during Hijab Day last week in Ottawa, which was one of those festive feminist occasions when right-thinking Canadian wymyn show their solidarity with their Muslim sisters by wearing the hijab in a defiant gesture against male domination and the oppressive patriarchy.

The Afghan woman featured in the video was asked if she would also show solidarity with the young Syrian woman in a Flemish asylum center who refused to wear a hijab, which resulted in a violent brawl between the Syrians and the other culture-enrichers in the camp. The Afghan woman said that yes, she would show solidarity — by wearing her hijab.

An imam named Muhammad Zulkifal is on trial in Italy for murdering two of his fellow Pakistanis for the crime of wearing bathing suits at the beach. At least one of the victims, a woman, was dismembered.

The case has a Mohammed Coefficient of 100%.

One of the chilling side-notes in this article from Il Giornale is the fact that Mr. Zulkifal’s terror cell, which is based in Italy, has significant influence in Pakistan — the opposite of what you’d normally expect. Does this mean that AQO (Al Qaeda in Olbia) will use their Italian stronghold as a base from which to launch terror attacks in Pakistan?

I doubt that it did much damage, since TOWs have shaped charges and a jet of red-hot copper that actually penetrated would have made it impossible for that guy to get out less than a minute later — but it probably scared the shit out of the crew and they bailed. So, mission accomplished.

While the West debates the humanitarian problem of Syrian refugees flooding across its borders, the discussions repeatedly turn to the dangers they might pose: what if there are terrorists among them? How can we be sure? How can we save those in need of saving and still be safe ourselves?

Yet for many of these refugees, married off against their will, the terror has already begun. They are 11 and 13 and 14 years old. Some of them are pregnant. Some are already mothers at 14. Their husbands are 25 or 38 or 40. And there is no escape.

As reported by Reuters, 40 Iranian news outlets have kicked in roughly $600,000 to add to the millions of dollars already pledged to the 27-year-old bounty on Satanic Verses author Salman Rushdie’s head.

The fatwa, or religious ruling, was originally decreed by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who deemed Rushdie’s novel “blasphemous” in 1989. Though a previous reform-minded Iranian president declared the fatwa “completely finished” in 1998, Khomeini’s successor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reasserted the standing death sentence on the British author in 2005.

I wonder what the reaction would be if the U.S. government put up a bounty for killing Edward Snowden, and the New York Times, Washington Post, and L.A. Times kicked in another half-mil?

On February 8, 2016, the FBI launched its “Don’t Be a Puppet” website. Designed to resemble a video game, the website is an interactive tool for the nation’s schools to prevent susceptible youth from getting recruited online by terrorists. Unfortunately, the released version appears to have suffered from politically-correct retooling that blunts its original purpose of protecting teens from Islamist recruitment.

The website had been scheduled for release last November, but was delayed by complaints from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and others. By asking about participants’ religious beliefs, according to CAIR, the program reinforced anti-Muslim stereotypes and promoted bullying of Muslims students. CAIR’s subtext, which it has repeated many times, is that Islam has nothing to do with ISIS/Islamist violence.

So we are attempting to keep Muslims from being recruited as terrorists but can’t refer to Muslims or Islam.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is in a race against time, and it is a race that is relevant to how other Western powers will also deal with the rise of radical, armed, Islamic groups proliferating across the Middle East.

As the IDF’s commanders look around the region, they see heavily armed, hybrid, Islamic sub-state foes that are replacing states. The traditional threat of hierarchical armies is fading quickly away, into obscurity.

In northern Iraq the threat posed by ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) has led to over 10,000 Kurdish women joining militias and training for combat. Most of these women are Sunni Moslems but in late 2015 Yazidi women who had been captured and raped by ISIL succeeded in getting support for a battalion of Yazidi women who had been sex slaves of ISIL and, obviously, escaped. Over 2,000 Yazidi slaves (most of them women) have escaped from ISIL so far. But the Yazidi women could not escape the experience.

The Middle East is one of those regions where female virginity is a big deal, sometimes a matter of life and death for women who lose it before marriage and then sometimes get murdered to salvage family honor. Getting captured and raped during war is not as bad but it does still stigmatize the victims. One way honor can be restored is via revenge. Taking up weapons and killing the culprit makes the woman less of a victim and more admirable. The Yazidis, who usually live among Kurds, are largely regard as Kurds but ones who have developed very different religious and social customs. Most Moslems consider the Yazidis heretics or pagans. The Kurds came to the aid of the Yazidi in 2014 when ISIL sought to kill or enslave all Yazidi in northern Iraq. The Kurds also helped arm and train Yazidi men to form more militias. By late 2015 this led to the appearance of the “Sun Ladies” (former sex slaves now armed, trained and seeking revenge) and now there are enough of them to form a separate battalion. ISIL is still holding at least 3,000 Yazidis captive and one objective of all these Yazidi militias (and Kurds in general) is to free the slaves.

I’ve been following political developments in Europe closely for the past ten years, and I’m sensing a qualitative difference just in the past few months. People are being prosecuted and convicted for “hate speech” in Denmark, which used to be immune to such nonsense. People are being arrested for criticizing immigration on Facebook.

The following video from German television reports on the breakdown of law and order in several culturally enriched neighborhoods of Berlin. As in Thursday’s video about pickpockets, you’ll notice the reaction from business owners who are themselves earlier immigrants — they say the new arrivals are violent criminals who are ruining everything.

All across Europe, the cover-up is unravelling. For ideological reasons, and to a lesser degree due to misguided economic theories, Western Europe’s elites have pretended that importing millions of Muslims from countries ranging from Morocco to Afghanistan raises no issues and creates no problems. That this is untrue has been obvious for a long time, starting with the Turkish “guest workers” who never leave. But recent events have ripped the lid off the pretense that has dominated European discourse about immigration for many years.

It should be alarming for the West if Turkey and Saudi Arabia, two important U.S. allies, have decided to fight a strange cocktail of enemies on Syrian territory, including Syrian forces, radical jihadists, various Shiite forces and, most critically, Russia – all in order to support “moderate” Islamists. That may be the opening of a worse disaster in Syria, possibly spanning over the next 10 to 15 years.

On the other hand, do we really want these two as allies?

In the West Bank the “knife terrorism” campaign organized by the local leadership (Fatah) continues. This is all about making the corrupt and incompetent Fatah more popular in the West Bank but opinion polls show that many (but not most) Palestinians would vote for Hamas if elections were held right now. Moreover polls show enthusiasm for the knife terrorism campaign is waning. While Hamas is hated by the people of Gaza, West Bank Palestinians don’t experience Hamas cruelty daily while they do endure the corrupt and inept rule of Fatah. The Fatah pro-terror media campaign has distracted many Palestinians from their problems with Fatah but also convinced many that Israel is refusing to negotiate peace when in fact it is the Palestinians who turned down two peace deals in the 1990s and instead tried terror campaigns to get more. Both of these “intifadas” failed and Fatah has sold the illusion that the third intifada (the “knife intifada) will succeed. It isn’t and that is one reason Hamas has not gotten involved. Since 2000 Palestinian media constantly pushed the idea that Israel has no right to exist and must be destroyed. Palestinians who disagree with this must either emigrate or keep silent. For most Palestinians it is easier to simply praise the knife until it all blows over. The knife terrorism campaign has, since September, left 27 Israelis (and one American) dead and over 250 wounded. But 170 Palestinians have died (65 percent of them while attacking). Palestinian media depicts unsuccessful attacks that result in attackers being killed or wounded as Israeli attacks against random (and innocent) Palestinians. Over all the knife terrorism does nothing for the Palestinians except increase their poverty and Fatah propaganda about how glorious it is to die.

The following news report aired on Spiegel TV Magazine — that is, it’s a German MSM production from a redoubt of political correctness. You can see the usual Multiculti tilt in it — for example, the Maghrebian business owners welcome police intervention, because these newcomers are criminal riffraff — not like the earlier generations of immigrants who have integrated so well into German society!

And the Spiegel producers assiduously avoid examining the religious affiliation of the pickpockets, which leaves a lot of questions unanswered. The perpetrators from Morocco are obviously Muslims. But what about the criminal families based in Romania that send their trainees on a sort of journeyman tour of Europe? Surely they are Roma, whose small-group pickpocket predations are well-known across Europe, and in fact wherever Roma turn up. Are the Roma really cooperating with and training Moroccan pickpockets? Or are they two separate criminal cultures that just happen to infest German public transportation at more or less the same time?

The best way to understand the Islamic State (ISIS) is to see it as the next phase of al-Qaeda. All Sunni Islamic jihadi groups—Boko Haram, ISIS, Taliban, al-Shabaab, al-Qaeda, even Hamas—share the same motivations based on a literal and orthodox reading of Islamic history and doctrine: resurrecting a caliphate (which existed in various forms from 632 to 1924) that implements and spreads the totality of sharia, or Islamic law.

Accordingly, ISIS’s notorious atrocities—beheading, crucifixion, sexual enslavement, and destruction of non-Sunni places of worship—are being committed by other jihadi groups (e.g., Boko Haram and al-Shabaab, both of which pledged allegiance to ISIS) and even by some Muslim governments (e.g., Saudi Arabia) and individual Muslims around the world.

Just in case you’ve been distracted by things like the Superbowl and the Presidential election and have somehow forgotten that there is a large group of people out there working to enslave us. Just a reminder.

A suspect in the New Year’s Eve sex attacks in Düsseldorf has been arrested after the woman he is accused of assaulting identified him in a documentary.

The 18-year-old woman, who has not been named, spotted the 33-year-old Moroccan man when he appeared on a documentary about petty crime called “King of the Pickpockets” on Spiegel TV.

She reported him to police and he was arrested on Saturday morning.

The biker gangs are called “rockers” in Germany, a leftover term from early-sixties Britain. Nash Montana, who translated the article, says: “These enrichers don’t even use bikes. They probably don’t even know how to hold up a bicycle.”

Islam Buheiry is one of those rare birds, a genuine Islamic reformer. Notice that what he wants to do isn’t a “reformation” of Islam, but a reinterpretation of its core texts in the hadith and the sira. It’s a tough job, and I doubt that he and people like him will ever succeed — the Koran says what it says, after all, and the violence and misogyny of Islam are clearly laid out in numerous hadith. Many (if not most) of them would have to be purged completely to make Islamic doctrine less inherently violent. Yet there’s no doubt that he is putting his life on the line in what may well be a futile endeavor.

Before you jump all over him for what he’s attempting to do, bear in mind that the gate of ijtihad (independent interpretation of Islamic scriptures) has been closed for more than a thousand years, and any reopening of it will be attempted within Islam itself. That is, you and I and other non-Muslims will have no input into the process, and no say whatsoever in whether it will succeed. All we can do is quarantine Islamic countries and keep Muslims out of our societies until the unlikely occasion when such reinterpretation occurs.

The post-9/11 era is rife with what Orwell called “the abuse of language” (“war on terror,” “overseas contingency operations”), but no abuse more obviously illustrates his complaints than the media cliché describing how a moderate Muslim becomes an Islamist: he becomes radicalized. This euphemism (a passive construction in grammatical terminology) denotes almost nothing. Orwell calls it a “verbal false limb,” that is, a device used to “save the trouble of picking out appropriate verbs and nouns.” It has become the default explanation for a phenomenon few want to discuss.

There is much to dislike about both the passive “was radicalized” construction and the term “radicalization,” which comes from an adjective (radical) turned into a verb (radicalize) and then into a noun. The term “self-radicalized,” which appears to be a reflexive passive verb, if such a thing exists, is even worse.

What Gore Vidal called “the popular Fu Manchu theory that a single whiff of opium will enslave the mind” is not a good metaphor for Islamism. Islamism is inculcated over time. Teachers spread it in schools with books. Imams and community leaders reinforce it in mosques and Islamic centers. Some communities ignore it, and some families tolerate it. Sudden Jihad Syndrome only appears sudden to outsiders.

Gröditz is a small town near Dresden in the eastern German state of Saxony. Like most other parts of Germany, the refugees that were welcomed into the area last year have ended up enriching the local culture in unexpected ways, not all of them pleasant.

Israel has picked up signs of the beginning of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East as Arab states seek nuclear weapons to counter Iran, the Israeli defence minister has warned.

Moshe Ya’alon said Sunni Arab nations were not reassured by last year’s nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers and were making their own preparations for nuclear weapons.

“We see signs that countries in the Arab world are preparing to acquire nuclear weapons, that they are not willing to sit quietly with Iran on brink of a nuclear or atomic bomb,” Mr Ya’alon said.

The defence minister gave no evidence to back up his claims but Israel closely monitors the military activities of its Arab neighbours.

Israel and the Sunni Gulf countries do not have diplomatic ties but are known to talk through back channels and are united in their opposition to Iran.

Something that hasn’t been widely recognized is how Germany’s willingness to accept vast numbers of military age youths from Syria is facilitating the various leaderships in Syria to push toward their maximalist ethnic-cleansing goals.

Syria’s long-term problem is that it is highly diverse, with different groups that hate each other (often for good reasons).

Fighting in such situations can go on for a long time, but usually military ambitions run into diminishing returns: e.g., If our tribal enemies hold three watersheds, we can push them out of their most peripheral one fairly easily, their next-most marginal one with more difficulty, but they’ll die in the last ditch to defend their ultimate redoubt because they have nowhere else to go. And that’s a discouraging prospect for militaries on the offensive.

The French government has told over 800 refugees currently living in the so-called Calais Jungle that they will be expelled from the camp in the next few days.

The planned clearance of the southern section of the camp will also involve the demolition of three mosques, one church, three schools, a women and children’s centre, youth centre and legal lentre.

Also going is the vaccination centre credited with containing an outbreak of measles in the camp, the Jungle Books Library, a theatre and three hot food distribution points that currently serve 2,000 meals each day.

A British SAS sniper took an Islamic State (Isis) commander’s head clean off as he taught jihadi recruits how to behead captives, according to reports. The marksman fired from over a kilometre away (1,000 metres) to land the shot.

The IS (Daesh) fighter was reported to be in the middle of a drill teaching new soldiers how to execute captives, according to the Daily Express. Some 20 new terror recruits were watching as the fatal bullet struck.

The soldier was operating in the northern Syria a fortnight ago and was using a .338 rifle with tumbling ammo that can cause a huge hole in the body on impact. The sniper had assistance from 12 fellow SAS soldiers, who managed to sneak into a jihadi compound before the shot was fired.

One military insider said: “One minute he was standing there and the next his head had exploded. The commander remained standing upright for a couple of seconds before collapsing and that’s when panic set in. We later heard most of the recruits deserted. We got rid of 21 terrorists with one bullet.”

When we consider the Groping Jihad that entered public awareness on New Year’s Eve in Cologne, we think of young women as the principal victims of the taharrush attacks by massed “testosterone bombs” in the public spaces of Europe.

However, we could just as readily speak of a “Child-Rape Jihad”, since culture-enriching men really do like their “infidel whores” young. Little girls, mostly, but pre-teen and teenaged boys also figure as likely targets, as exemplified by the horrific attack on a ten-year-old boy in a Viennese public pool. Mothers must be watching their children anxiously now as asylum centers sprout up like mushrooms in middle-class residential neighborhoods all over Western Europe, but especially in Germany and Austria.

The Gropiusstadt area in Neukölln is a social hot spot in Berlin South. The Kurdish owner of a snack bar and kiosk was forced to experience that last Sunday evening. Not for the first time, he says.

The following excerpt from a speech by Czech President Miloš Zeman was recorded at a conference in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Mr. Zeman had some very politically incorrect words to say about the mass immigration of Muslims into Europe. Once again, it is truly remarkable to hear such sentiments voiced by a sitting (not former) head of state in the European Union.

The man at the podium sitting to President Zeman’s left is Robert Fico, the prime minister of Slovakia, who has said very similar things to his own people on a number of occasions.

The U.S. is openly criticizing Moslem nations in the Middle East for saying they are eager to help destroy ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) but do little about it. Too many of these “allies” are much talk and little action. Then there is the delicate subject of Turkey and some Gulf Arab states quietly supporting al Qaeda affiliated Islamic terrorist rebels in Syria because they consider the Iran backed Syrian government more of a threat than al Qaeda. Turkey and these Arab states also see al Qaeda as much preferable to ISIL.

In Syria Lebanese Hezbollah fighters have been seen using the Iranian Toophan ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missiles). This is an Iranian copy of the American TOW (Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided) that entered service in 1970. When the Iranian monarchy was overthrown in 1979 the rebels found themselves in possession of lots of modern American weapons, including plenty of TOW systems. By the 1990s Iran had managed to copy the TOW as the Toophan. By 2000 they upgraded it and are now supplying Hezbollah with dozens of systems. Iran probably noted that in early 2015 Kurdish forces fighting in Iraq and Syria were using the Chinese HJ-8 ATGMs, which is the Chinese version of the TOW.

In recent months we have featured prominently the immigration-critical statements of Central European prime ministers and heads of state, including former Czech President Václav Klaus, Czech President Miloš Zeman, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. To that list of courageous truth-tellers must be added Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, who recently gave a surprising realistic speech assessing the dangers of the European “refugee” crisis. As reported by Tundra Tabloids, Yle — the Finnish state broadcaster — cut the most “xenophobic” minute out of the president’s speech when they aired it. Shades of Al Jazeera!

Tommy Robinson, one of the leaders of the newly-launched PEGIDA UK, was interviewed last weekend by Al Jazeera TV from Qatar. As insurance against having his responses tendentiously edited, Tommy used his cell phone to record his end of the interview, and made all of the footage available later.

A wise move when dealing with Muslims.

First the interviewer tried to trick him by reading from the Old Testament, with a deliberate attempt at misdirection to make him think the source was the Koran. Notice the sly way the fellow, without actually telling a lie, made it seem as if he were describing the text of the Koran. It didn’t work — Tommy sussed him out immediately.

Obviously an experienced ‘journalist’.

Next Tommy discussed Mohammed’s marriage to Aisha when she was just six years old, and the prophet’s deflowering of her when she was nine. That was too much for Al Jiz — they cut that segment out completely. But the clip below shows the missing section, as recorded by Tommy’s cell phone.

Most readers will consider the following report a dog-bites-man story. “So Christians are subject to harassment and violence in asylum centers in German — of course they are; everyone knows that! That’s what Muslims do.”

To the world at large, however, the persecution of Christians in “refugee” accommodations is not widely known. It is not something the media and the political class want to look at. The Gutmenschen stood there with their “Welcome Refugees” signs and embraced the invasion by those who would eventually supplant them. They’re not anxious to be informed about the consequences of their virtue-signaling enthusiasm. In fact, the authorities don’t register the religion of arrivals at the asylum centers, so that there is no way anyone can determine the level of violence directed at Christians by Muslims.
