A devout Muslim shopkeeper was savagely killed in the street shortly after posting an Easter message “to my beloved Christian nation”.

Asad Shah, 40, died from injuries sustained in the attack on Thursday night in which his killers are believed to have stabbed him and stamped on his head. Medics tried to save him but he died in hospital.

A Belgian municipal security officer is facing dismissal after saying he would kill “each and every Jew” during a debate on Facebook this past Friday.

“The word Jew itself is dirty. If I were in Israel, frankly, I would do to the Jews what they do with the Palestinians — slaughter each and every one of them,” wrote the officer, who was only referred to as Mohamed N. in Belgian media.

Haaretz said that the intelligence agencies had specific warnings about an attack that would take place at the train station. Anyone in the world of intelligence knows that intel of that type should automatically be extrapolated to include airports as well.

The Israeli concept of security at sites like airports and train and bus stations is called the layered approach.  The defense system is set up to catch unusual threats at the outer periphery.  If the what, or who, is not caught in the outermost layer, it is caught by a layer within.  That means surveying and checking people and possessions even before they enter a terminal.  It is not good enough to simply have a security screening station for people with boarding passes going to their gates.  This screening only protects the planes.

That’s what we have in the U.S. — basically ‘security theater’.

Israel has bolstered its airport and terminal security. They have access to the identifications of passengers before they even arrive at the airport.  They have an outer perimeter on the road which is the first screening layer and then they have numerous other layers.  Outside the terminal any one suspicious looking or acting is stopped and moved away from crowds. Inside the terminal there is more security, screening and cameras watching, once again, for suspicious behavior.

That’s because Israel takes security seriously. Unlike everywhere else.

Those who preach ideas contrary to the Danish constitution could be stripped of their citizenship if proposals put forward by an anti-immigration party are adopted by the country’s government.

The right-wing Danish People’s Party (DPP) – which currently holds the second most seats in the country’s multi-party parliament – put forward the plans in an attempt to expel outspoken imam Abu Bilal Ismail, the Local says.

Ismail, a leading imam at the Grimhoj mosque in the city of Aarhus, has called for the destruction of Jews and a recent documentary revealed appeared to show him advocating the stoning of adulterous women and the killing of apostates.

Nothing like a national crime wave to wake people up. Let’s hope it’s not too late.

The quantities of explosives and precursors, the American official said, raised questions about how the terrorists were able to elude detection, especially during a manhunt for Salah Abdeslam, the suspect in the Paris attacks who was arrested last week.

My suspicion is that Belgian authorities were asleep on watch — after all, Islam is a Religion of Peace, so what’s to worry about?

The officials and bomb-disposal technicians requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to reporters.

Belgians and all Europeans are looking around themselves today with renewed apprehension, having been reminded once more by the attacks in Brussels about their vulnerability to terrorism that arises from within their midst. They’ve allowed parallel societies to emerge, and now they fear that the problem can only grow.

It was only fitting, for example, that when police arrested the suspected terrorist Salah Abdeslam in the gritty Molenbeek neighborhood of Brussels late last week, across town, European Union leaders were meeting at the plush EU Commission headquarters to discuss the immigration crisis that bedevils Europe.

Fitting because the Molenbeek neighborhood represents the division and separation that exist in European society, and why there is a fear that migrants arriving in Europe in their hundreds of thousands could find in such places networks ready to radicalize those migrants.

Not long ago the French Police finally cracked down on “The Jungle”, the squalid shantytown near Calais thrown together by illegal immigrants. At least some of the migrants thus displaced have now made their way to Paris, where they are determined to begin a new life for themselves — camped out in the space underneath an elevated Metro station.

Girls as young as 10 have been victims of the attackers, who are still on the loose, and police are warning females not to go outside alone at night.

The 14 separate incidents have all been reported in the town of Ostersund, which has a population of 44,300.

While police have refused to release descriptions of the attackers, victims have described the men as of foreign origin.

Vigilante groups have formed in Ostersund with some even joining police in nightly patrols.

Attacks have included the shocking attempted rape of two 10-year-old girls at a bus stop.

In a recent press conference police chief Jerald said the attacks were unusual because none of the culprits appeared to be drunk.

Other shocking incidents involving migrant attacks have rocked Sweden.

They include a number of women being sexually assaulted at a Stockholm music festival.

The police response to that drew huge criticism afterwards with police taking five months to reveal the attacks, which took against girls as young as 11.

Around 50 men, predominantly from Afghanistan, were identified as response for the sexual assaults.

The most wanted terrorist in Europe, considered the mastermind in November’s multi-targeted attack in Paris that left 130 people dead, was arrested Friday by Belgian authorities.

But residents in the Molenbeek district of Brussels, where Saleh Abdeslam was captured, didn’t breathe a sigh of relief. Within hours, the district, which has a majority Muslim population, erupted into riots. Dozens of Abdeslam’s fans attacked police with bottles, stones, and other objects, local press reported, angered by the arrest of their “hero.”

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) defended the right of a terrorist-affiliated Palestinian media outlet to incite murder against Israelis, according to Honest Reporting.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recently closed down “Palestine Today” – a Palestinian Islamic Jihad radio and television station – for inciting violence and glorifying Palestinian terrorists. Instead of condemning the Palestinian media outlet, the IFJ accused Israel of engaging in a “wave of violence targeting journalists.”

“The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), which represents 600,000 journalists across the globe, stands by its affiliate the Palestinian Journalists Union (PJS) in condemning this brutal attack against free press and ask for UN immediate reaction to the escalation of attacks against the press in the occupied territories,” reads an IFJ statement.

The following article summarizes an official report on the condition of Vienna’s Islamic kindergartens. The report’s conclusions — that the kindergartens are influenced or controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood and other Salafist groups, that children are indoctrinated with “extremist” views, that parallel societies are created and sustained by these schools, that children are taught to disdain and reject the kuffar — will not be a surprise to most Gates of Vienna readers. They seem to have caused consternation within the city’s Socialist governing class, however, so much so that the authorities have made sure to kick the can down the road at least as far as 2017.

The most telling fact is that most Islamic kindergartens refused entry to investigators working on the study.

A Kurdish woman has been shot dead in Germany after refusing an arranged marriage with her cousin, it has been reported.

Images have been posted on Facebook by a man claiming to be the girl’s father and depicting her lying on the ground in a pool of blood, surrounded by distraught wedding guests. In an accompanying message he writes that his 21-year-old daughter was an aspiring engineer who had refused attempts by members of her extended family to agree to a marriage with her cousin.

He writes that: “This murderer would not accept that! They decided to take revenge, to continue the tradition. At 10am on 13 March, she was killed with 3 shots to the head by her own cousin.”

As reported in last night’s news feed, a man walked into an armed forces recruiting center in Toronto and stabbed two soldiers. He was subdued by six or eight other soldiers before he could stab anyone else.

I’m pleased to report that the incident is now known to have a Mohammed Coefficient of 0%. However, it’s still quite possible that the alleged crime had traces of cultural enrichment, since the suspected assailant is named Ayanie (or “Ayanle”) Hassan Ali. None of the reports refers to the fellow’s ethnicity — he is in fact a “Québécois”, since he was born in Montreal — but judging by his photo, he appears to be a Somali.

Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders hastened to admonish the public not to engage in Islamophobic thinking concerning the incident: “One of the things I want to be very careful of when it comes to the national security piece that we don’t go do that Islamaphobia nonsense.”

An adherent of the Religion of Peace stabbed a Jewish leader to death on the streets of Paysandú, Uruguay. Witnesses report that the alleged perpetrator proclaimed did it in the name of Islam, but the police are hedging their bets — all they will say is that the disturbed young man, who may have a history of mental problems, has not admitted a religious motive for his deed.

Valéry Giscard D’Estaing was the first to say it frankly in 2002: Turkey must never be a member of the European Union. It was not a matter of time, of Turkey’s adjusting to the political culture of Europe, of economic or legal harmonisation. For Giscard, never meant never, because Turkey is not a European country. Östersund is a small town in the northern part of Sweden. Like most such towns, it has always been a placid, orderly, law-abiding place — that’s the Swedish way.

Until recently. Everything has changed since the arrival of “refugees” at asylum centers that are popping up like mushrooms all over the Swedish landscape, even in the most rural areas. In the past few weeks six violent crimes — including rape and attempted rape — have been committed by men of “foreign appearance” against women out alone at night in Östersund. Now the police are advising women to stay at home at night, or at the very least not go out except in groups.

Well, not sold out — they were giving the stuff away for free. The politicians distributing the pepper spray in downtown Vienna were labeled “far right” because they wanted to give Austrian women the opportunity to defend themselves against the predatory migrants that are now so numerous in the capital. An Israeli man who was stabbed, removed the knife from his neck and used it to stab his attacker.

The victim, a 40 year-old ultra-orthodox Jew named as Yonatan Azarihab, was later hospitalised after suffering multiple stab wounds to his upper body from his attacker, reports the Times of Israel.

Mr Azarihab, who was reportedly collecting money for charity, was followed into a wine shop in Petah Tikva, near Tel Aviv, before what police described as the “frenzied attack” took place.

Fatah and the Palestinian Authority (PA) praised the murder of Taylor Force, an American West Point graduate visiting Israel with a group from Vanderbilt University, who was killed by a Palestinian terrorist during a stabbing spree yesterday at the Jaffa port, reports Palestinian Media Watch.

Mr. Force, 29, of Lubbock, Texas, had served with the U.S. Army in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn (Iraq), and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). His wife was also severely injured in the attack outside Jaffa.

Last Saturday night two groups of rambunctious culture-enriching “youths” in Vienna got a little rowdy and went after each other with knives, metal pipes, and other implements of destruction. One of the groups (the Afghans) outnumbered the other (the Chechens), and two of the mischievous youngsters are now in critical condition in the hospital.

In the West Bank and Israel the Fatah sponsored “knife terrorism” campaign continues. Since last October 28 Israelis and over 170 Palestinians and have been killed. This is all about making the corrupt and incompetent Fatah more popular in the West Bank but opinion polls show that many (but not most) Palestinians would vote for anyone but Fatah and Hamas if elections were held right now. Moreover polls show enthusiasm for the knife terrorism campaign is waning. Like many past Fatah publicity stunts the knife terrorism makes life worse for most Palestinians and provides one more reason for foreign investment to stay away from the West Bank. Despite the Palestinian terrorists trying to go after tourists (and sometimes succeeding) the latest Palestinian terror campaign has had little impact on the Israeli economy. In 2015 the Israeli economy grew 3.3 percent while the West Bank economy declined nearly as much.

Leave it to the Middle East studies establishment to defend the vilest forms of conspiratorial anti-Semitic rhetoric, provided it’s in service of demonizing Israel. Jasbir Puar, the Rutgers University women’s and gender studies professor and Israel-boycott advocate who, in a controversial February 3 lecture at Vassar College, charged the IDF with the organ harvesting, deliberate maiming, and stunting of “Palestinian bodies,” can certainly count on support from its ranks.

Notorious Israel-bashers such as Rashid Khalidi (Columbia University), Joel Beinin (Stanford University), and Steven Salaita (American University of Beirut) are among the signatories to an open letter to Vassar College President Catharine Bond Hill defending Puar against an alleged campaign of “vilification and hatred” following her inflammatory lecture. Unlike the vast majority of academic jargon-filled apologias for bigotry that populate the lecture circuit, Puar’s talk was widely covered and rightly condemned by a disgusted public. In evoking “hate mail and other threats” against Puar, the authors allude to the specter of death threats — whether real or imagined — a time-honored tradition among academics unaccustomed to the twin horrors of criticism and accountability.

Turkey recently ordered $700 million worth of smart bombs from American suppliers. This order is for over a thousand bombs and will take until 2020 for all of them to arrive. Turkey has been using smart bombs on its F-16s since the 1990s but this is the first time they ordered the laser guided, 909 kg (2,000 pound) BLU-109. This “bunker buster” can penetrate five meters (16 feet) of concrete and even more earth. It is believed Turkey wants these to go after PKK (Kurdish separatist) and ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) facilities in caves and other underground bunkers.

Have you ever wondered how it feels to suddenly find yourself in the midst of a terror attack, and how you would react? It’s everyone’s worst nightmare, but for a growing number of people in Israel over the 5 ½ months since the latest Palestinian uprising began, it has been a shocking reality.

Since September 13th, 32 Israelis and one Palestinian have been murdered, most by Palestinian attackers. Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs counts “195 stabbings and attempted stabbing attacks, 79 shootings, and 40 vehicular attacks” involving the ramming of pedestrians. The attacks continue and the figures are updated almost daily.

More than 170 Palestinians reportedly have been killed by Israeli security forces or armed Israeli civilians during the same period, most during or in the aftermath of a terror attack; the remainder in clashes at violent demonstrations.
