Regarding the Palestinian Arabs, the first point to make is that many of them are not originally Palestinians at all. They are immigrants who came to the Land of Israel from all over the Arab world during the British Mandate in order to find employment in the cities and on the farms the Jews had built. These immigrants still have names like Hourani (from Houran in southern Syria), Tzurani (from Tyre in southern Lebanon), Zrakawi (from Mazraka in Jordan), Masri (the Egyptian), Hijazi (from the Hijaz province of the Arabian peninsula), Mughrabi (from the Maghreb), and many other names that point to their true geographical origins. Why, ask the other Arabs, should they get preferential treatment over those who remained in their original countries?

The terrorist invasion of Israel by Hamas on October 7th, 2023, is the worst instance of mass murder of Jewish civilians since the Holocaust. Its barbarity may be shocking to many observers, but it will not have surprised those familiar with the ideology of the perpetrators. This latest outburst of violence is the logical outcome of the Jew-hatred that Hamas has openly expressed since 1988, and it rests on a strand of Islamic antisemitism that emerged in the early 20th century and fueled the Arab war of rejection in 1948. The ideology that inflames the Hamas leadership was the product of the fateful fusion of Nazism and Islamism in the 1930s and 1940s, and it has always rejected the legitimacy of a Jewish state (or indeed any polity that isn’t explicitly Islamist) anywhere in what, before 1948, had been British Mandate Palestine.

During the first Christmas holiday break that followed 9/11, I cracked open a copy of the Koran and read it through. I was well and truly thunderstruck by what I found there. The contents were, of course, appalling, what with their explicit anti-Semitism, genocidal ideation, and the thoroughgoing denial of the deity of Christ. But what I found more shocking than any of those things was the extent to which the text of the Koran, easily found by anyone with even a smidgen of curiosity, was so starkly at odds with everything then being said about Islam by the political class and the media. It was so shocking to me — just how divorced the “official pronouncements” were from what was staring anyone in the face who bothered to look.

Hamas’s invasion was no mere act of terrorism. It was, rather, an act of war carried out by what is effectively a state. Prime Minister Netanyahu got it right when he said, immediately after the invasion was launched, that Israel was at war.

The difference is important. If the invasion was just another in a long series of terrorist outrages, then selective reprisals, as in the past, are the presumptive response. In other words, doing again what hasn’t worked before–destroying a few military installations and taking out a handful of political or military leaders. War is different. A war ends only when one side internalizes the fact that it is beaten and loses the will to continue.

When I say “one side,” I don’t mean military or political leaders, who face their own imperatives and may or may not ever choose to give up. I mean the civilian population (acknowledging that in Gaza it is not easy to tell who is a civilian, but that doesn’t matter for this purpose). Why did the Allies fire-bomb Dresden? Not to achieve some discrete military objective, but to horrify the German people and convince them that continuing the war would lead only to further catastrophe. Likewise with Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In total war, the situation in which Israel finds itself, destroying the will of the civilian population to resist is the ultimate military objective.

The Palestinians who invaded Israel have focused on kidnapping civilians, mostly young women. This was facilitated by the fact that there was a “rave for peace” going on near Gaza that many young people attended. The Palestinians no doubt knew this, and planned to attack the event. They took a number of young women captive there.

This video has been seen millions of times. There is a naked young woman in the back of a truck, murdered (and God knows what else) by the Palestinians. The Arabs in the truck are yelling “Allahu Akbar!” “God is great!” Terrific religion they’ve got there.

What is notable, I think, is the jubilant reaction of the crowd. Note the boy who spits on the woman’s corpse. The idea that what is happening is a “terrorist attack” by “Hamas” is a fiction. Hamas is a political entity that rules Gaza with the support of the overwhelming majority of the Palestinians who live there. It is much like Nazi Germany–most Germans were not members of the party, but the vast majority supported Hitler until it was clear that Germany was losing the war. Same thing here, except that until now, it hasn’t been clear that Hamas was losing. Hamas appears to command the loyalty of nearly all of Gaza’s residents.

It turns out that the murdered woman in that video was not an Israeli, but rather a German citizen who attended the music event that the Palestinians attacked. She was advocating for “peace.”

Some of the policies and actions that make the Republic of Turkey different from other nations are not only its proud and aggressive denial of the many crimes it has committed over the decades, but also its physical and verbal attacks—on an international scale—against the descendants of the survivors of those crimes.

These attacks include vandalism against genocide memorials outside of Turkey, diplomatic pressure on governments that recognize the genocide, as well as on those who erect monuments to commemorate the victims and carry out other commemorative activities.

The Turkish nation’s greatest crime is the 1913-1923 genocide committed against Assyrian, Armenian, and Greek Christians in Ottoman Turkey. Approximately 3.5 million Christians were killed in this ‘jihad genocide,’ which targeted them because of their religion and ethnicity in an attempt to create “Turkey for the Turks.”

MEMRI reported that the part of the interview in which Tabatabai acknowledged receiving then-Iranian leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s fatwa ordering attacks on American and Israeli targets in Lebanon was removed by IRNA from its website shortly after publication.

The global effort to end polio is likely to miss two key targets this year on the path towards defeating the virus, according to an independent strategic review.

The aim in 2023 was to interrupt the transmission of wild polio in the two countries where it is still endemic, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and do the same for a variant form of polio known as “vaccine-derived” that is causing outbreaks elsewhere.

The Independent Monitoring Board, a group of polio experts who oversee the work of the U.N.-backed Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), said neither target would be hit this year.

Switzerland’s parliament has approved a ban on face coverings in legislation thought to be targeting Muslim women wearing burqas and niqabs.

The country’s lower parliamentary chamber voted overwhelmingly in favor of the bill on Wednesday, which was passed with 151 votes in favor and 29 against. The upper chamber had previously approved the ban, which was strongly supported by the right-wing Swiss People’s Party.

It prohibits the covering of the nose, mouth and eyes in public places, as well as private buildings that can be accessed by the public.

Less than an hour from the capital of the European Union, gangs fight gun battles in the streets or bomb each other’s outposts. Crime reporters, police and prosecutors are bought off or killed. Michael Copeland has compiled an eclectic set of references concerning the ninth surah of the Koran, whose violent commands abrogate all of the earlier peaceful verses.

Instead of attending the commemorative observances at any of the three sites where the 9/11 terror attacks took place, President Joe Biden will be in Alaska on September 11 this year. It is the first time an American president will not appear at the locations of the largest terrorist assault in American history.

This is of a piece with the forgetting of 9/11, about which I have written previously. Ultimately, the retreat of the attacks into the mists of history is inevitable, and it will certainly mean that future generations will think differently, or not at all, about that day.

But as I noted a year ago, it’s not the forgetting per se that is of interest. It’s the rapidity and the completeness of that forgetting, and the fact that a large portion of the country never forgot. They still see the day as yet another marker of the U.S.’s moral depravity, which has never been the case previously with any foreign attack.

A Dutch court sentenced a Pakistani former cricketer to 12 years in prison on Monday after he was tried in absentia for urging people to murder Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders.
The court ruled that statements by 37-year-old Khalid Latif should be regarded as incitement to murder, sedition and threat.
Latif lives in Pakistan and has not attended any stage of the trial or been detained in the Netherlands.

Needless to say, Geert Wilders is not a ‘far-right politician’ except in the eyes of the Narrative media.

Slovenia saw a large influx of “refugees” during and after the Great Migration Crisis of 2015. However, those masses of culture-enrichers were largely transient — they were passing through Slovenia on their way to greener pastures in Austria, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and other points to the north and west of Slovenia. The same could be said of the other countries on the Balkan Route — Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, etc. The migrants would pass through their territory, and maybe engage in a little robbery and rape when the opportunity arose, and then move on to the next country, leaving a lot of rubbish and filth in their wake.

The one-year anniversary of the September 16, 2022 arrest and murder of Kurdish-Iranian Mahsa Amini by Iran’s so-called ‘morality police’ is coming up. Her killing, supposedly for allowing her hijab to slip from completely covering her hair (while inside her family’s personal vehicle), set off months of street protests against the Iranian regime. These protests focus especially on the complete lack of women’s rights under the Islamic Republic of Iran’s draconian sharia regime. Despite a brutal crackdown by the regime against the protesters, those demonstrations continue today, often under the slogan “Woman, Life, Freedom”.

An Israeli woman was killed in a suspected Palestinian shooting attack near the West Bank city of Hebron on Monday, the Israeli military said.
Israel’s ambulance service said an Israeli man who was also seriously wounded in the incident was transferred to hospital and that a six-year-old who was in the car was “miraculously unharmed.”
The military said in a statement it had set up roadblocks and was searching for the suspects, who it said fired from a passing vehicle.
A spokesperson for the Islamist Hamas group that governs blockaded Gaza, Hazem Qassem, praised the attack and said it was a response to Israel’s ongoing assaults on Palestinians.
Israeli forces were already hunting for a Palestinian suspected of shooting and killing two Israelis on Saturday.

Seven of the arrested were allegedly in Germany planning a new wave of terrorist attacks in the country. Pakistani Christians held services on Sunday at churches that were vandalized and torched by a vigilante mob last week after two Christian brothers were accused of desecrating the Koran.

The services at a handful of churches in the city of Jaranwala in eastern Pakistan were led by the bishop of the diocese, Christian community leader Akmal Bhatti said. He attended one of the services, which drew hundreds of Christians whose homes were partly or completely destroyed when the mob burnt and looted them on Wednesday.

The pastors later distributed food rations to those affected, Bhatti said.

U.N. forces on the divided Mediterranean island on Friday morning blocked Turkish Cypriot construction workers who were building a road near the village of Pyla/Pile that encroached on the U.N. enforced buffer zone. The zone divides the southern half of the island, which is controlled by Greek Cypriots, from the breakaway Turkish north.

Video obtained by the Telegraph showed bulldozers picking up U.N. vehicles and tossing them across the landscape. Angry physical clashes reportedly left three U.N. personnel — two Brits and a Slovak — in need of hospital treatment.

Women lose value if men can see their uncovered faces in public, a spokesman for a key ministry of Afghanistan’s Taliban government said Thursday, adding that religious scholars in the country agree that a woman must keep her face covered when outside the home.

The Taliban, who took over the country in August of 2021, have cited the failure of women to observe the proper way to wear the hijab, or Islamic headscarf, as a reason for barring them from most public spaces, including parks, jobs and university.

Molvi Mohammad Sadiq Akif, the spokesman for the Taliban’s Ministry of Vice and Virtue, said in an interview Thursday with The Associated Press that if women’s faces are visible in public there is a possibility of fitna, or falling into sin.

“It is very bad to see women (without the hijab) in some areas (big cities), and our scholars also agree that women’s faces should be hidden,” Akif said. “It’s not that her face will be harmed or damaged. A woman has her own value and that value decreases by men looking at her. Allah gives respect to females in hijab and there is value in this.”

A Muslim crowd attacked a Christian community in eastern Pakistan on Wednesday, vandalising several churches and setting scores of houses on fire after accusing two of its members of desecrating the Koran, police and community leaders said.

The attack took place in Jaranwala in the industrial district of Faisalabad, police spokesman Naveed Ahmad said. The two Christians were accused of blasphemy, he said, adding they and family members had fled their homes.

Al-Qaida has called for targeted assassinations of Swedish and Danish diplomats at embassies worldwide after several copies of the Quran were burned in the two Scandinavian countries in recent months, U.K. news outlet Express reported.

Copies of the Islamic holy book were burned during a recent spate of public desecrations in both Sweden and Denmark, sparking angry protests in Muslim countries.

An attack on a military bus in Syria’s east killed 23 government troops and wounded more than 10, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) war monitor said on Friday.

Islamic State, which operates sleeper cells in lands it once ruled, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on its Telegram channel.

It took place near the town of al-Mayadeen in the vast desert province of Deir Ezzor, which is split into areas controlled by Syrian troops backed by Iran and Russia, and Kurdish-led fighters backed by the United States.

The Taliban has deployed hundreds of suicide bombers to Afghanistan’s border with Iran amid an intensifying dispute over water access, Bloomberg reported.

Thousands of Taliban troops, including hundreds trained to blow themselves up, were sent to the border since May, a source told the outlet. Iran and the Taliban have moved toward a conflict over water from Afghanistan’s Helmand River, which Iran relies on.

Afghanistan in 1973 agreed to provide a certain amount of water from the river to Iran, but since the Taliban took over Afghanistan after the Biden administration withdrew in 2021, Iran claims the new regime has reduced the water supply.

A recent trend has been Middle Eastern immigrants, mostly Muslims but also Armenians, objecting to the Establishment pushing the gay and trans agenda. Sometimes they do it admirably through the parents rights movements, sometimes despicably through street violence.

In 2014, the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group ruled much of Iraq and Syria and carried out a wave of oppression toward various minority groups, committing acts of genocide against the Yazidis (a Kurdish-speaking ethnoreligious group), a fact now finally being acknowledged by the British government.

This week, the UK Foreign Office announced it would recognize that the Islamic State carried out acts of genocide against the Yazidis in 2014, with the group being largely targetted by the Islamic extremist group because of their non-Islamic beliefs.

“The UK has today formally acknowledged that acts of genocide were committed against the Yazidi people by Daesh (the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State) in 2014,” the Foreign Office said in a statement on Tuesday, August 1st.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for Sunday’s bombing, which also wounded nearly 200 people. Police said their initial investigation suggested that the Islamic State group’s regional affiliate could be behind the attack.

The victims were attending a rally organized by the Jamiat Ulema Islam party, headed by hard-line cleric and politician Fazlur Rehman. He did not attend the rally, held under a large tent close to a market in Bajur, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that borders Afghanistan.
