The Palestinian government will pay $16.4 million a month to imprisoned terrorists and their families, including nearly 900 Gaza-based fighters captured by Israeli forces in the wake of Hamas’s Oct. 7 terror attack, a watchdog group found.

Payments by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to imprisoned terrorists have risen by $2 million a month, and are being reliably doled out even as the West Bank-based government teeters on the brink of financial collapse, according to watchdog group Palestinian Media Watch. The PA has recognized thousands of those terrorists as eligible for “pay-to-slay” payments in the wake of Oct. 7, including 899 who were captured in Gaza in recent months.

All told, “9,750 terrorist prisoners are now recognized by the PA as eligible for monthly terror rewards, up from 4,300 prior to October 7,” according to Palestinian Media Watch, which tracks the PA’s terrorist payment system. The watchdog group “calculates that once the processing of the new prisoners is complete, the PA will be paying a minimum of 59,560,000 shekels (about $16.4 million) a month in salaries to terrorist prisoners, up from 52,000,000 shekels (about $14.3 million) a month prior to October 7.”

After a pause lasting five months, the new Labour government has announced that the UK will restart funding to a United Nations agency that Israel claims has been infiltrated by Hamas.

It was alleged that staff of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) were involved in the October 7th terror attacks, coinciding with criticism from MEPs about the longer-term use of European Union funds in Gaza. In January 2024, then-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak halted British payments to the organisation. Despite Israel’s legitimate security concerns, UK funding of UNRWA has now resumed.

Israel says that dozens of workers from the UNRWA took part in October’s pogrom, which saw more than 1,100 Israelis killed and 251 hostages taken, and that intelligence points to “the deep and systemic infiltration by … Hamas into the ranks of UNRWA.”

More than seventeen years ago I wrote about the Zones Urbaines Sensibles, or Sensitive Urban Zones (ZUS), in France. They are dangerous culturally enriched neighborhoods that firemen and ambulance drivers won’t enter without a police escort, and which the police themselves avoid unless they absolutely have to go there. A Paris police officer was attacked and stabbed by a 27-year-old foreigner on Champs-Elysées on Thursday, mere days before the start of the Paris Olympics. The attacker was shot by another officer, and died from the injuries from that gunshot wound. This knife attack comes just days after a man stabbed and wounded a French soldier patrolling Paris on Monday outside the Gare de l’Est train station in eastern Paris.

Paris police were responding to a call from security personnel at the flagship Louis Vuitton store on one of the city’s most famous promenades, according to a post on X by French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin. The security officers had noticed a man exhibiting “suspicious behavior” outside the store and called the police, according to a police official. The man then attacked one of the officers with a knife.

Paris police chief Laurent Nuñez said the attack did not appear linked to the Olympics and no terrorist motive was suspected. Nevertheless, it comes just days before the world’s premier sporting event starts in the French capital—and hot on the heels of another attack on police.

Yesterday, smoke rose from a city of just over 500,000 inhabitants in West Yorkshire, namely the city of Leeds, around 10% of which is now Muslim. A very large number of the Muslim minority took to the streets to riot. A bus was set on fire; buildings and cars were smashed apart; and police personnel were attacked, with many of their vehicles being damaged, including at least one police car being overturned. Police were forced to flee the area in which the violence was erupting, and thereafter, the rioters were seemingly left in peace to continue their rampage.

The proximate reason for this explosion of violence remains as yet unclear, though the media have been reporting that it began with some sort of “family incident.” The general reason for this riot, however, is certainly known to the whole country. For decades, the ordinary English inhabitants of England have witnessed their country being transformed by the colonisation and repopulation of their towns and cities by arrivals from abroad. They have looked to the media and the political class for some critical consideration of what has been taking place, and they have heard nothing but the sound of crickets. If anyone was unwise enough to speak out about what was happening, he was subjected to accusations of ‘racism’ and ‘xenophobia’ and his career was put at risk. This culture of censorship, that soon gave rise to a culture of self-censorship, has been extremely effective.

Desecrations of Catholic places of worship in France have increased exponentially in recent months. Most recently, a church in Paris was vandalised using acts of extreme violence.

The vandalism occurred on the night of Sunday, July 14th at the church of Notre-Dame du Travail in the 14th arrondissement in the south of Paris. The building was defiled by explicit and violent tags calling for war, decapitation of Christians, and threatening to burn the church down.

The next day, the parishioners discovered a fire had broken out, but fortunately, it did not catch, thus avoiding irreparable damage.

Many of the inscriptions found were explicitly Islamic in nature: “Submit to Allah the infidel, pray 5 times a day,” “Bastard Jesus, only one god, Allah,” for example, could be read on the walls of the sanctuary.

Would a mosque in Riyadh ever get vandalized with Christian slogans? The question answers itself.

Adidas said it will revise a campaign that features Palestinian-American supermodel and activist Bella Hadid modeling a sneaker recalling the 1972 Munich Olympics — the Games where 11 Israelis died in a terror attack by a Palestinian terrorist group.

Various Jewish and pro-Israel leaders and institutions said Hadid, who has been harshly critical of Israel in her activism on behalf of Palestinians, was an inappropriate choice to represent a sneaker associated with those games.

The official X account for the State of Israel posted about the 1972 campaign, accusing Hadid and her father, Los Angeles real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, of promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories and asking Adidas for comment.

Dramatic footage has surfaced on X showing what appears to be an unmanned suicide surface drone smashing into the side of a crude tanker on Monday about 100 nautical miles northwest of Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah.

Reuters reports the Liberia-flagged oil tanker Chios Lion was hit on its portside by an unmanned watercraft, adding there is a potential risk of an oil spill.

The number of knife-related deaths in England and Wales in 2022 was the highest since records began 77 years ago. Since 2010, the number of knife offenses in this region has risen by 34 percent. But the capital has seen the largest annual increase of any area.

London has a serious problem with knives—almost 30 percent of the 50,000 knife-related offenses in England and Wales last year occurred there. The Metropolitan Police recorded 14,577 knife offenses in 2023—a 22 percent rise from the previous year.

The case of Daniel Anjorin is illustrative. In a quiet suburban neighborhood of northeast London, the 14-year-old schoolboy was attacked by a man with a machete and fatally stabbed at the end of April this year. In Redbridge, the borough in which Anjorin was killed, knife crime increased by 22 percent last year—its highest level since 2018.

The philanthropist and billionaire Mortimer Zuckerman cut off millions of dollars in funding to Columbia University citing the school’s failure to address rising anti-Semitism, the Washington Free Beacon has learned. Zuckerman pledged $200 million in 2012 to endow an institute focused on interdisciplinary neuroscience research. But the billionaire owner of U.S. News & World Report began questioning Columbia’s handling of rampant campus anti-Semitism following Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks on Israel and ultimately halted funding after several months of discussions, according to a Zuckerman Family Office spokeswoman.

The White House hosted anti-Semitic activist Linda Sarsour in May 2023, three years after then-candidate Joe Biden publicly disavowed the prominent Jew hater, citing her long record of anti-Israel incitement and support for boycotting the Jewish state.

Sarsour—who has compared Zionism to “white supremacy in America” and questions Israel’s right to exist—appears to have attended a White House celebration of Eid al-Fitr, a Muslim holiday that marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period. Sarsour joined around 400 others at a White House event that day, visitor logs show. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), the Squad member who also has trafficked in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and championed anti-Israel priorities in Congress, attended as well.

Sarsour’s appearance at the White House, which garnered little attention at the time, occurred just three years after the Biden campaign publicly cut ties with her over support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and long history of anti-Israel advocacy.

The Poland-Belarus border crisis has intensified over the past month, following the death of a Polish border guard at the hands of a spear-throwing migrant. The death of 21-year-old border guard Sgt Mateusz Sitek on June 6th garnered national and international attention, after days prior to his succumbing to his wounds a sharp spear was hurled from the fence where he was on patrol.

The Telegraph has described that the mostly Middle East/North African (MENA) migrants on the Belarusian side are growing violent and more aggressive. “Dozens of illegal migrants on the Belarusian side of the border with Poland hurled a volley of makeshift spears at Polish border guards through the five-metre-high steel fence,” the report said.

“Some fell short of their targets and as the security forces picked them up they saw what appeared to be a tree branch with a steel blade taped to the top.” In the attack, “Several were injured in the bombardment and one – Sgt Mateusz Sitek, a 21-year-old from the village of Nowy Lubiel – lost his life.” The stabbing happened on May 28, leaving the guard critically injured. Video of the immediate aftermath showed migrants trying to kill another soldier who was attempting to administer aid to Mateusz.

“Several” suspected terrorists targeting the 2024 Paris Olympics have been arrested in France. An intelligence source said those detained are connected to the Islamic State–Khorasan Province (ISKP), an offshoot of the Islamic State (IS) terror group, responsible for the Crocus City Hall attack on Russian civilians in March 2024.

Another figure connected to the group was arrested in Germany last month after it emerged that he had applied to work as a steward, providing security at ‘side events’ during the UEFA European football championship. IS previously threatened major football venues hosting UEFA Champions League football games back in April.

French interior minister Gérald Darmanin has not revealed the nature of the plots relating to the Olympic games, which start later this month. But reports describe those arrested as suspected “suicide bombers.”

Since Oct. 7, the Biden administration has been preoccupied, above all, with preventing the Gaza war from spreading to the north and escalating into a no-holds-barred war with Hezbollah.

There’s ample reason for the administration’s concern: a full-fledged war between Israel and Iran’s largest proxy can bring the administration’s whole Middle East policy tumbling down, since it will force the White House to make a public choice: It will have to abandon its quest for accommodation with Iran, and take a clear pro-Israeli stand, or else risk exposing the price that its Iran policy always entailed – exposing Israel to existential danger while simultaneously alienating America’s Arab allies who fear Iranian regional hegemony.

But preventing a war between Israel and Hezbollah will prove harder than the administration realizes. Many tens of thousands of Israelis have been displaced from their homes in the north, and they will not return as long as Hezbollah can fire at them at will.

A woman from Seattle has now officially been charged with trying to influence the outcome of a Federal trial by dropping off $120,000 in cash at the home of a juror.

31 year old Ladan Mohamed Ali left the cash along with instructions to convince others to acquit the defendants, according to a report from KOMO.

KOMO reported that “the bribe also included a set of instructions to the juror to ‘inject racism into the case’ and to use the Feeding Our Future defendants’ status as immigrants to gain sympathy from other jurors.”

Now, she, along with her co-conspirators Abdiaziz Shafii Farah, 35, Abdimajid Mohamed Nur, 23, Said Shafii Farah, 42, and 24-year-old Abdulkarim Shafii Farah, will be defendants themselves.

A court in Pakistan sentenced a Christian man to death for sharing what it said was hateful content against Muslims on social media after one of the worst mob attacks on Christians in the eastern Punjab province last year, his lawyer said Monday, adding he will appeal the verdict.

In August 2023, groups of Muslim men burned dozens of homes and churches in the city of Jaranwala after some residents claimed they saw two Christian men tearing out pages from Islam’s holy book, the Quran, throwing them on the ground and writing insulting remarks on other pages, authorities said. The two men were later arrested.

No casualties were reported at the time as terrified Christians fled their homes to safer areas. Though the police arrested more than 100 suspects following the attacks, it remained unclear if any were convicted.

What would it be like if Muslims were sentenced to death for posting hateful content about Christians? Well, there would be a lot of dead Muslims….

Two new trends seem to have emerged recently in Europe, and especially in Germany.

The first involves arguments that arise out of nowhere. After their emergence they escalate, and then the second trend kicks in: knives appear. Subsequently, through some mysterious process that is never quite explained in the media, badly wounded people are sent to the hospital, and bloody corpses are left in the street.

For unknown reasons, both trends correlate with the incidence of cultural enrichment in the regions where they occur.

A bizarre attack on Israel’s embassy in the Serbian capital of Belgrade has unfolded Saturday, and ended in the death of the attacker, and a wounded security guard now fighting for his life.

Serbia’s interior ministry is calling the incident a terrorist attack which involved a man armed with a crossbow shooting a police officer, wounding him in the neck, before the officer shot the assailant dead. Authorities are in the aftermath looking at links to Islamic extremism.

For years, Afghanistan has been the world’s premier cultivator of poppy used as the base for heroin distributed in Europe, Africa and Canada according to the key findings of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s (UNODC) World Drug Report 2024, while the Americas have largely been supplied with product derived from poppy plantations in Mexico and Colombia.

With the Taliban retaking power in April 2022, the new Afghan government instituted a strict ban on the cultivation of poppy, not only curtailing the supply of illicit substances like heroin but also that of medical prescription opioids.

As a result, potential opium production dropped by 95 percent between 2022 and 2023 to 333 tons.

A ship traveling through the Red Sea came under repeated missile fire Friday in a likely attack launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, authorities said, the latest targeting the crucial maritime route.

Five missiles landed near the vessel as it traveled off the coast of the rebel-held port city of Hodeida in Yemen, the British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said.
