The data—provided in response to a parliamentary question from the right-wing Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party—show that there were 15,825 police deployments to such facilities in 2024.

In the first half of 2025, police were called 6,797 times, averaging more than 1,100 incidents per month.

Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, has been on a tour of the United States over several days, which included attendance at a farewell function for the chief of the US Central Command, Gen. Michael Kurilla. The trip is said to be Gen. Munir’s second visit in less than two months.

While in Tampa (where CENTCOM’s HQ base is located), Gen. Munir also spoke at a private event for the Pakistani diaspora in America. His words there have set off outrage and condemnation from India on Monday, including fresh nuclear sabre-rattling.

“We are a nuclear power. If we go down, we’ll take half the world with us,” Munir reportedly had stated. What has heightened the anger in New Delhi is that this is the first time a top Pakistani official has issued an apparent nuclear threat from US soil.

We know amazingly little about the community, probably because we are afraid to ask the relevant questions. In the conflict between the United States and Muslim terrorists, for example, whose side are they on?

Acting United States Attorney Joe Thompson observed at the sentencing of Abdiaziz Farah last week for his food fraud crime spree that Farah treated us as “suckers.” That is certainly true, but it expresses the problem in almost reassuringly familiar terms. I wonder if the problem doesn’t run deeper than that.

For years I was told by federal law enforcement authorities that their biggest concern was represented in an ongoing investigation of foreign support for terrorism. Some Somali Minnesotans supported the terrorist group al-Shabaab with their money. Some supported it with their sons. The investigation consumed the local FBI office for a matter of years and resulted in a string of guilty pleas involving local Somali men supporting al-Shabaab. Investigators believed at least 21 Somali men have left Minnesota to join al-Shabaab. In 2011 two “Minnesota women” were convicted of providing material support to the group after a 10-day trial before Judge Michael Davis.

uthorities have uncovered a well-organized Syrian smuggling network responsible for illegally moving up to 480 migrants daily into the European Union via the Balkan route.

The network, active for several years, is believed to have generated profits nearing €10 million. Migrants reportedly paid between €2,500 and €4,500 each, depending on the route and risk involved.

The investigation, coordinated by prosecutors in Weiden with support from the Munich Federal Police Criminal Investigation Department, Europol, Eurojust, and law enforcement in the Netherlands and Bosnia-Herzegovina, led to the arrest of five suspects on August 7th.

Authorities seized mobile phones, vehicles used for transporting migrants, and small amounts of drugs.

Moroccan feminist and LGBT rights activist Ibtissam Lachgar has been arrested on charges of blasphemy after posting a photo of herself online wearing a T-shirt with the slogan “Allah is a lesbian.”

The public prosecutor’s office in Rabat stated that Lachgar spread “insulting statements against God” and insulted Islam, prompting an investigation and her subsequent detention.

Lachgar’s post, made at the end of July, criticized Islam as “fascist and misogynistic,” sparking widespread backlash on social media.

She reported receiving thousands of rape threats, death threats, and calls for stoning. Some users even called for her arrest, with one commenting that she “has decided to go to jail.”

A rise in antisemitic harassment and crime is pushing more and more Jews in France to consider moving to Israel, the leader of France’s largest Jewish organization told allisraelnews.com.

“Wherever they live, I guess the Jewish population is feeling insecure today in the French environment,” Robert Ejnes, head of CRIF, the umbrella organization for France’s Jewish community, said. “I don’t know a family that is not speaking about [leaving France] now.”

France has the largest Jewish community in Europe, with around half a million people. It’s also home to an estimated six to seven million Muslims, or about 10% of the population. As in other Western countries, people with Muslim immigrant backgrounds have been involved in a disproportionate number of antisemitic incidents, especially the more serious or high-profile ones.

Antisemitism has increased sharply since Hamas’ October 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel, Ejnes said, and President Macron’s recent decision to recognize a Palestinian state has contributed to legitimizing antisemitic and anti-Jewish sentiments. While Macron has previously been supportive of the Jewish community, today, “we believe he’s promoting antisemitism by doing what he’s doing,” Ejnes stated.

But with a long history in France, many Jews are still hesitant to leave, he said. “Many know the resilience of the community after all the bad events that ever happened to us in France, especially in recent times: the Dreyfus Affair, or the Vichy government, or the Shoah, and Jews have still continued to live and belong to the French environment.”

Hamas understands that Westerners are utterly ignorant to the true evil of Hamas, their willingness to multiply the suffering of Palestinians and Israelis alike, to starve their own citizens as well as Israeli hostages, to sacrifice Palestinian children by placing them in the line of fire, all for the cameras; Hamas understands that myopic and self-centered Westerners will simply project their own biases and values onto Hamas, thus granting them unearned innocence and sympathy; Hamas understands that the media would facilitate all of this, elevating a false oppressor/oppressed narrative above the truth.

A French national who has legally changed his name to Lucifer Of-Darkness has been sentenced to nine months in jail for punching a man unconscious in a train station lavatory.

The 41-year-old, previously known as Berkani Nahim, attacked Christopher Jamieson at Waverley station in Edinburgh this year before handing himself in to British Transport Police officers, claiming self-defence.

Abdiaziz Farah was convicted on 23 felony counts of conspiracy, fraud, and related crimes in the first of the Feeding Our Future trials last year. I covered the trial and reported the guilty verdict here at the time. The government asked for a 30-year sentence. Granting most of the government’s wish and agreeing with its argument in its entirety, Judge Nancy Brasel sentenced Farah in federal district court here yesterday to 28 years in prison.

Farah concocted the shocking juror bribery scheme that was discovered at the conclusion of his trial last year. He has pleaded guilty in the bribery case before Judge David Doty and will be sentenced separately for the offense. That sentence should be added to the 28 years he received yesterday.

I attended Farah’s sentencing hearing yesterday. The court was full of Farah’s family, supporters, and federal law enforcement agents who testified at trial. I sat in the press row immediately in front of Farah’s crying wife. It was quite a scene.

Most of the world’s nations now recognise a Palestinian state. In May 2024, the ranks of those nations were swelled by Spain, Ireland, and Norway. Under Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer, respectively, the French and British governments have now signalled their commitment to joining them in September. As conditions deteriorate in Gaza, one British government minister has even said that the UK should recognise the state of Palestine “while there is a state of Palestine left to recognise.”

Palestine is usually said to comprise Gaza and parts of the West Bank, with its capital in East Jerusalem. But in the real world, the West Bank enclave is ruled by Fatah, what remains of the Gaza Strip is still nominally ruled by Hamas, and East Jerusalem is not the capital of anything. With the two mutually hostile Palestinian parties locked in a frozen conflict, there is no prospect that either will hand over control to the other. And neither Hamas nor Fatah can be considered democratically legitimate because neither has held elections in decades.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has documented the violent deaths of nearly 10,000 people in Syria since the former ISIS commander, Ahmad al-Sharaa, was installed in power in Damascus.

After Sharaa toppled the government of former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad in December last year, he was widely praised. An article in the UK’s Telegraph described his armed group, the former Al-Qaeda affiliated Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), as “diversity friendly jihadists”.

Radical Islamic groups are targeting and killing Christians in multiple African nations.

An ISIS affiliate, known as Islamic State Mozambique Province, is taking responsibility for recent beheadings of Christians in Mozambique and setting fire to homes and churches, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, a research organization based in Washington, D.C.

On July 28, the Islamic State Mozambique Province claimed responsibility for capturing two Christians and beheading them. The ISIS-affiliated group said it attacked a Christian village on July 24, killing one person and setting fire to multiple homes, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.

“What we see in Africa today is a kind of silent genocide or silent, brutal, savage war that is occurring in the shadows and all too often ignored by the international community,” Alberto Miguel Fernandez, vice president of the Middle East Media Research Institute, recently told Fox News Digital.

A 40-year-old Tunisian man with a Swedish residence permit was shot and injured by police in the German city of Wuppertal on Wednesday afternoon after a knife attack on a passerby.

The incident began around 3:30 p.m. when the man stole a butcher’s knife from a shop on Kaiserstraße in the city’s Vohwinkel district. Shortly after leaving the store, he attacked a 32-year-old man at random, causing minor injuries.

Police officers responding to a separate incident encountered the suspect near the Bruch suspension railway station. When he advanced toward them with the knife, they opened fire.

The suspect was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment. He was placed under provisional arrest, and officers are guarding him until he can be discharged and brought before a judge.

Around 155 small boat migrants crossed the English Channel on August 5th, the first day after the British government announced a new partial returns agreement with France.

The Border Force vessel Typhoon arrived at Dover harbor just before 1:30 p.m., carrying the first group of migrants intercepted that morning. At least 60 people were picked up just after 11:30 a.m., with 81 disembarking from the Typhoon at the Western Jet Foil, home to the Border Force migrant processing center. Fifteen minutes later, the vessel Ranger followed with 74 more migrants, mostly young men.

The surge in crossings came just one day after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s government unveiled its migrant returns deal with France. The timing has prompted criticism that the agreement is doing little to deter illegal crossings.

Fabienne Buccio, the prefect of France’s Rhône department, has fired warning shots about escalating crime rates tied to Algerian nationals in her region while expressing deep frustration over Algier’s persistent refusal to accept deportees. Her assessment reveals a growing crisis where offenders operate with what she describes as a “feeling of impunity,” knowing deportation efforts will likely fail.

Speaking in an interview making waves across French media, Buccio revealed alarming statistics: foreign-born individuals account for a staggering 60% of arrests in the Rhône department, which includes Lyon, France’s third-largest city. Even more striking is the fact that at least half of these arrestees are Algerian nationals.

Buccio explained the current system’s limitations: while some convicted criminals serve prison sentences, others are transferred to administrative detention centers (CRAs) after completing their terms to prevent their immediate return to the streets. “When I can place them in a CRA upon release from prison, I do it – because we can’t just put them straight back on the street,” she said. Judges have begun imposing the maximum 90-day detention period more frequently, but this temporary solution merely delays an unsolved problem.

United Nations officials delight in bashing U.S. and Israeli efforts to distribute aid in Gaza as a failure. But figures from one of the agency’s own reports reveal that its own work is being undone on a vast scale.

Close to 90% of the more than 2,000 U.N. food trucks sent to the strip since May 19th have been “intercepted,” either “peacefully by hungry people or forcefully by armed actors,” according to in-house monitoring.

Israeli officials have long accused Hamas terrorists of using stolen aid as a “means against the population” in Gaza.

The Jerusalem Post also reported late last week that aid hasn’t been making it to its destination because of “United Nations policies” and “delays.” All this after Jens Laerke, spokesman for a UN humanitarian agency, dismissed the U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) as a “failure” because “they are not doing what a humanitarian operation should do, which is providing aid to people where they are, in a safe and secure manner.”

Jewish passengers aboard a flight from Buenos Aires to Madrid encountered the phrase “Free Palestine” scribbled on their kosher meals on Tuesday, an Argentine Jewish group said.

DAIA, the umbrella group of Jewish communities in Argentina, wrote on X that one Jewish passenger aboard flight IB0102, Salvador Auday, received the full phrase written in black ink on the label of his kosher meal, whereas others had only the initials, “FP” written on it.

“We condemn this discriminatory act and have contacted the airline’s authorities to demand explanations and immediate actions,” wrote DAIA, which also called the case a “serious antisemitic incident.”

Leaders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have asked the Taliban for access to a leaked list of Afghans who helped Britain so they can hunt down MI6 spies.

The Tehran regime hopes to examine the list of nearly 25,000 Afghans who worked with British forces as they seek leverage with the West ahead of nuclear negotiations this autumn.

The so-called “kill list” contains the names of Afghans who were applying for asylum, including soldiers who had worked with the British Army, intelligence assets and special forces. Some are believed to have subsequently fled to Iran.

In a sign that the two sides are already collaborating, at least one Afghan whose name was allegedly on the list has been deported from Iran to Kabul in the past few days.

Since the beginning of this year, fourteen suspects from the Netherlands have been arrested. Most of the detainees are Dutch citizens of Moroccan descent. The police have published photos of the alleged perpetrators, including two women.

The criminals used stolen cars or vehicles with fake license plates to drive to ATMs late at night, blow them up with explosives, and steal as many banknotes as possible.

During joint raids by Dutch and Austrian police at twelve locations in both countries, 16 scooters, more than 50 mobile phones, nearly half a kilo of explosives, various drugs, and €39,000 in cash were seized.

Although the group operated in Austria, similar attacks have occurred in Germany. Between 2022 and 2023, more than 800 ATM explosions were reported there. German authorities are calling for stricter penalties for the use of explosives in such crimes.

On Oct 7, 2023, thousands of Muslim Jihadis swept from Gaza into Israel, killing, torturing, raping and kidnapping anyone in their path. The victims included not only Israelis or Jews, but Americans and Europeans, Christians and Buddhists, as well as those Bedouins whom the Hamas, PLO and Islamic Jihad attackers did not consider Muslims.

Their rationale was not a “Palestinian” cause or any of the later war propaganda myths about an “open air prison”, but an Islamic religious imperative to drive out infidels. That’s why they named their genocidal campaign, ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ after their occupation mosque planted in Jerusalem that they hoped to reclaim when they had killed or enslaved all the infidels in Israel.

In their earliest statements when they thought they were winning, Hamas leaders emphasized their religious agenda, of seizing the Al Aqsa Mosque and driving out the infidels, not a ‘Palestinian’ cause or the partial Israeli embargo on its limited border with Gaza.

That was the only ‘genocide’ that occured in the last two years. It just isn’t being called one.

Left to themselves, Jews would not make any special effort to exterminate Muslims. Nowhere will you find any trace of such an effort, except in response to Muslim terrorism, and often not even then.

Left to themselves, Muslims would make every effort to exterminate Jews, as they have demonstrated consistently for almost a hundred years (and sixteen centuries before that).

At the end of April, an Afghan family contacted the local employment center in Hamburg. The parents and their five children, as a needy household, applied for Bürgergeld, the citizens’ benefit paid when people have no income or do not earn enough money to support themselves and their dependents. According to official documents obtained by German investigative portal Nius, the employment center approved monthly payments of €6,733.83 from June to November 2025, with an increase to €6,814.83 starting in January 2026. Of this amount, approximately €5,100 is earmarked for Fördern und Wohnen, the city-owned social enterprise that runs the refugee accommodation where the family currently resides.

According to Nius, the Afghan family in question receives substantial state welfare support while its members run a chain of Middle Eastern grocery stores in Berlin and Hamburg. The head of the Hamburg family appears to be working at one of the supermarkets owned by members of his extended family. Raising further questions, two adult members of the household regularly flaunt expensive cars and watches on social media, posting hashtags such as “rich” and “Dubai.” The father apparently also poses on Facebook as an “entrepreneur” who visited Istanbul a few months ago.

On July 3rd, a Kosovar Muslim man, identified as Mirsad H., set his wife, Dula K., on fire in the Belgian village of Houthalen-Helchteren after being released from incarceration months early due to prison overcrowding. The attack happened in front of the couple’s five children, one of whom tried to extinguish the flames while waiting for help to arrive. The woman is now in a medically induced coma, fighting for her life, with her chances of survival minimal according to the doctors treating her.

Mirsad H. was previously known to the police, having amassed a considerable rap sheet including illegal possession of a weapon and receiving stolen goods. Before the horrific attack on his wife, he had been serving a 37-month prison sentence for domestic violence.

Despite his ample criminal record and propensity for violence against his wife, the man was granted conditional release by the Hasselt prison administration, based on an “emergency measure” implemented by former Belgian justice minister Paul Van Tigchelt to tackle overcrowding in the prison system. Current justice minister Annelies Verlinden has since called the measure illegal and vowed to end it.

The man is now facing charges of attempted murder and is expected to be tried before the Assize Court.

The UK government has confirmed the official number of small boat arrivals for Thursday, July 31. It shows that at least 25,000 people have crossed into England by boat in 2025, with 898 arriving on that day alone—the highest daily figure recorded this year.

After announcing with great fanfare that it would welcome refugees from Gaza to France, the ministry of foreign affairs has decided to put the plan on hold. The reason for this is the arrival of a student from Gaza whose violently antisemitic comments led the university that was supposed to host her to cancel her enrollment.

As we reported, on July 11th, Nour Atallah, a 25-year-old student from Gaza, arrived in France with the intention of studying at the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) in Lille from September. Following the discovery on social media of an account in the young woman’s name explicitly calling for the killing of Jews and glorifying Hitler, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau instructed the prefect to refer the matter to the courts, describing her comments as “unacceptable” and “worrying.” “Hamas propagandists have no place in our country,” he said. The university eventually cancelled the student’s enrollment. Nour Atallah is now under investigation for glorifying terrorism. Her account has since been closed.

A 29-year-old Somali man has been arrested in Zweibrücken, Germany, accused of kidnapping, torturing migrants, and murdering a boy by stabbing him in the throat. The arrest was carried out in coordination with German police and Italian authorities under an international warrant issued by the Palermo Prosecutor’s Office.

According to investigators, the victim reportedly resisted a rape attempt. The suspect allegedly intended to film the assault in order to blackmail the boy’s family for ransom. The investigation began with a complaint from a fellow Somali migrant who arrived in Lampedusa in 2023, claiming the suspect had tortured detainees in a Libyan detention centre in Bani Walid under the orders of human traffickers.

Additional testimony from other migrants and digital evidence, including IP address analysis linking the suspect to both Libya and Europe, helped confirm his identity. His arrest follows months of joint investigation by Italian and German authorities.

The number of unofficial migrant arrivals in the UK by boat has now passed 24,500 so far this year as of Thursday, July 31st. In the latest spike, Border Force intercepted two boats in UK waters, each carrying over 90 migrants. Approximately 900 people landed on UK shores on Thursday alone.

With the total expected to surpass 25,000 next month, the political pressure is likely to intensify. The current figure is already over 50% higher than this time last year. The tally, compiled by GB News, typically takes several days to be verified by the government as official data.

In a separate development, the National Crime Agency (NCA) reported a success after helping to seize a shipment of inflatable boats at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing in Bulgaria. The lorry was transporting 25 boats intended for use by smuggling gangs operating in the English Channel. Many of the boats were designed to carry 50 to 60 people, often overcrowded.

At a pivotal UN conference in New York, several key Arab nations—including Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan—have jointly called for the end of Hamas’ control over the Gaza Strip. The proposal, outlined in a seven-page document, argues that dismantling the Hamas government is essential to resolving the long-standing Israel-Palestine conflict.

“As part of ending the war in the Gaza Strip, Hamas must end its rule in the Gaza Strip and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority with international commitment and support,” the document declares. The statement also condemns Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

A total of 17 countries have endorsed the proposal so far, with backing from Western nations, including the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Norway, and Ireland. More endorsements are expected ahead of September, when the initiative is scheduled for formal adoption at the UN.

British Hamas kidnapping victim Emily Damari has condemned the announcement offering to formally recognise the state of Palestine as one that risked “rewarding terror.”

According to Ms. Damari, who was shot in the hand by her Hamas abductors, the Prime Minister’s approach would send a ‘dangerous message that violence earns legitimacy.’

A Jewish man from France and his young child were called “murderers” at an Italian motorway service station before being surrounded and harassed by a crowd chanting “Free Palestine.”

Mobile phone footage captures the lead-up to the attack, which began after the man took his child to the toilet. The confrontation appears to have started with a cashier at the service station shop. As the man left the restroom, he was attacked by a group of 15 to 20 people, knocked to the ground, and repeatedly kicked. One of the attackers shouted, “We are not in Gaza, we are in Italy.” The six-year-old child was not injured.

Police arrived about 10 minutes later, and the crowd quickly dispersed. Strangely, officers then told the victim—via his Italian son-in-law—that he should ask Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop bombing Gaza. The man responded, “But I’m not Israeli, I’m French.”

Yesterday I posted about the Muslim Brotherhood in Spain; today it’s Italy’s turn.

I began writing about the Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen) almost twenty years ago, and warned about the ugly mess the West would face if it didn’t wake up to what was happening and act against the Ikhwan. Well, it has finally woken up (at least parts of Europe have), but unfortunately it is too late: Islam has reached critical mass in Western Europe. A political solution to the issue is thus no longer possible; we may either submit to Islam, or use kinetic means to deal with the problem, the details of which cannot be described here, in the interests of prudence.

After a daycare center in Lower Saxony recently raised the hackles of parents by only serving sausages from halal-slaughtered animals, now a school in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhein-Westphalia, is also bowing to the demands of the Muslim population when it comes to food offerings. Starting next school year, Erle Comprehensive School will serve only halal meals, according to an announcement on the school’s website, Junge Freiheit reports. The catering company providing lunches for the school also supplies nine other schools in the city, all of which will now serve only meat prepared according to Islamic slaughter rules.

Around 60% of students in Gelsenkirchen have a migration background, with some districts seeing even higher numbers. Pork has already been banned in all schools since 2010, following a decision by the city’s food advisory board.

Other schools in Germany, including a special needs school in Baden-Württemberg, have also shifted to halal-only menus.

Experts have long predicted this trend, which follows the massive inflow of migrants from Muslim countries. In 2016, a former vice president of the German Nutrition Society said pork would gradually disappear from school menus. This is already happening, especially in areas with large Muslim populations like the Ruhr region.

Authorities tend to take the position that while the mode of slaughter is important to Muslims, other citizens probably don’t care that much how the animals that provide their meat are killed.

But some non-Muslim Europeans view halal-slaughtered meat being the ‘default’ offering as a form of religious accommodation that they have not chosen, or even a forced passive participation in a system they don’t adhere to. Certain Christians oppose consuming halal meat because the animal is dedicated to Allah, a deity they do not worship or recognize. And animal rights activists have opposed halal slaughter that does not stun the animal before its throat is slit and it is drained of all blood.

No word on whether German schools intend to cater to the religious food rules of the Jewish population—who do not consume halal foods.

Unidentified individuals spray-painted “NYT Lies, Gaza Dies” on The New York Times building in Manhattan on Wednesday, with sections of the structure’s doors and windows also daubed with red paint.

The incident followed heightened criticism of the newspaper’s coverage of the Gaza conflict. The perpetrators remain unknown.

The graffiti appeared hours after the Times issued an editor’s note amending its July 24 article, “Gazans are dying of starvation.” Five days after publication, the Times acknowledged that its story referenced a Gazan boy, Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, suffering from severe malnutrition, but later learned from his doctor and medical records that the child also had preexisting health conditions. The editor’s note underscored that the article had been updated to reflect these new details.

The former Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) employee who now claims he witnessed American-backed “war crimes” privately threatened to become the aid organization’s “worst enemy” after being fired “due to poor performance, volatile conflicts with staff, and erratic behavior,” according to text messages and other GHF employees who testified under oath.

Anthony Aguilar, a retired U.S. special forces officer who worked as a contractor with GHF, ignited a media firestorm this week when he claimed to have resigned after witnessing “the Israeli Defense Forces shooting at the crowds of Palestinians” and committing other alleged “war crimes.” News outlets like the BBC and CBS News ran with Aguilar’s account, and Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.) interviewed the fired former contractor in a YouTube video. The stridently anti-Israel Maryland Democrat led a group of 19 senators from his party who demanded that the Trump administration pull more than $30 million in funding for GHF.

Since his June 13 termination from UG Solutions, the security firm working with GHF, Aguilar has allegedly fabricated documents supporting his case and repeatedly begged the aid organization to rehire him. GHF presented multiple text messages Aguilar sent members of the organization that directly contradict his story.

In one June 22 text message Aguilar sent to GHF leaders, he instructed them to “stop f—ing around, put me back to work, and let’s get this mission done.”

“If you want to play games, we can play games,” Aguilar threatened. “I can be your best friend, or your worst nightmare.”

Every day this week, hundreds of U.N. trucks stacked with pallets of humanitarian aid have exited Israeli-patrolled routes and rumbled into population centers in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has implemented daily pauses in military operations.

Many of those trucks, operating under enhanced Israeli protections introduced on Sunday, have not reached U.N. warehouses, according to Gazans and high-ranking Israeli military officers. Armed Hamas militants have hijacked them, the people said, and what aid has reached U.N. warehouses has disappeared into a patronage system controlled by Hamas.

Long-shuttered distribution sites for food aid at schools, mosques, and bakeries have remained so. Civilians have been forced to buy the aid, often still branded with the U.N. emblem, from sellers who charge exorbitant prices in order to pay heavy taxes to Hamas.

“Fifty trucks arrived yesterday at warehouses in Gaza City, and Hamas stole all of the aid,” said Moumen Al-Natour, a 30-year-old lawyer in the Gazan capital, on Tuesday. “Today, the aid went on sale in the black markets at very high prices.”

Al-Natour said a childhood friend, seeking to feed his family, joined a mob of hungry Gazans trying to loot the trucks and was trampled to death along with others.

Such Hamas-dominated violence and graft surrounding U.N. aid deliveries in Gaza is typical, several dozen civilians, Israeli officers, and others on the ground told the Washington Free Beacon.

Brussels officials are never lost for words on Gaza or the war in Ukraine. But critics say it is another matter entirely when it comes to the persecution of foreign Christians, especially by Islamists.

Dutch conservative MEP Bert-Jan Ruissen said on Monday that the European Union—as well as other international communities—is “far too silent about jihadist violence against Christians.”

The recent call by the German Association for Education and Training (VBE) to establish comprehensive Islamic religious education in schools across the country has reignited the debate on institutionalised Islamisation in Europe. Gerhard Brand, the VBE’s federal president, urged political authorities to plan “adequate human and material resources” to implement such instruction in the short term, stressing that existing pilot projects must be evaluated, optimised, and rapidly expanded.

Federal states such as North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria already offer confessional Islamic teaching, while others rely on non-binding Islamic studies or have no consistent programs at all. This disparity has been used as an argument to demand a “comprehensive national offer” that, according to the VBE, would allow Muslim students to express their faith in a controlled school environment.

However, warnings have not been long in coming. The German Teachers’ Association, through its president Stefan Düll, acknowledged the risk that radical preachers are exploiting the absence of state-regulated Islamic education online and within closed family circles. In his view, a model supervised by the state could counterbalance the more extremist currents.

But the core problem lies not only in the form but also in the content of such education. Numerous experts have denounced that organisations such as DITIB, which still maintain structural ties with Ankara and the Turkish religious authority Diyanet, continue to influence Islamic education in Germany. Journalist Eren Güvercin, one of the most vocal critics, has warned that even if imams are trained on German soil, they continue to spread a nationalist and religious mentality alien to European values. The Bundestag has also come under fire for failing to sever ties with these entities.

The German case is not isolated. In France, the phenomenon is even more concerning.
