Belgian police have arrested three young adults in Antwerp on suspicion of planning a jihadist-inspired terrorist attack, reportedly targeting top political figures including Prime Minister Bart De Wever.

Federal prosecutor Ann Fransen said the suspects were detained as part of an investigation into “attempted terrorist murder and participation in the activities of a terrorist group.” Evidence suggests the group intended to carry out an attack using a drone capable of carrying explosives.

“Certain elements indicate that the suspects intended to carry out a jihadist-inspired terrorist attack against political figures,” Fransen told reporters, adding that investigators found plans to construct an armed drone.

The Iran-linked Houthis of Yemen appear to have halted their missile and drone attacks on Israel as the US-backed Gaza ceasefire has gone into effect Friday.

There have not been any recent observable attacks since both sides agreed to accept Trump’s 20-point peace plan, with the Houthis now saying they are ‘monitoring’ the ceasefire and Israel’s compliance, suggesting no more attacks while it is pending. Maritime industry sources in Europe are signaling optimism after a vital global transit route has been effectively blocked for much of the last two years.

Fake death threat letters from the Taliban are being used to dupe the Home Office in asylum applications for Afghan migrants.

A Telegraph investigation can reveal how corrupt officials in Afghanistan produce government letters threatening to kill asylum seekers. The letters are then used as evidence in asylum applications.

To demonstrate how easily such documents can be obtained, an undercover Telegraph reporter paid Taliban officials £40 to produce three fake letters from different regional offices on official headed paper, signed by local administrators.

A pair of Islamic extremists bought assault rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammunition to kill “as many” Jews as possible in a suicide attack, a court has heard.

Walid Saadaoui, 38, from Abram, near Wigan, was arrested last year by counter-terrorism police in a car park in Bolton while collecting weapons capable of causing “untold harm”, Preston crown court heard.

He and his friend Amar Hussein, 52, who both embraced the views of Islamic State, were prevented from turning their plans into “a tragic reality” by an undercover sting operation, jurors were told.

The men, who are alleged to have prepared for acts of terrorism between December 13, 2023 and May 9 last year had a “long-standing” and “ visceral dislike” of Jewish people, prosecutors said.

Synagogue killer Jihad Al-Shamie rang 999 during his deadly attack pledging allegiance to the so-called Islamic State terror group, police have said.

The 35-year-old made the call claiming responsibility for the attack after driving at worshippers in his car outside Heaton Park Hebrew Synagogue in Crumpsall, Manchester, last Thursday morning as Jewish worshippers attended for the holy day of Yom Kippur.

He then attacked others with a knife and tried to storm the synagogue, wearing a fake suicide belt, before being shot dead by armed police.

The Islamic State Mozambique Province (ISMP), a Salafi jihadist militant group and an official affiliate of the Islamic State, last month beheaded 30 Christians and burned down churches and homes in Mozambique, according to a report by MEMRI’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM), which tracks activity by terrorist and violent extremist organizations.

ISMP in late September claimed responsibility for the attacks, which took place in northern Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces, according to the report.

The group said it destroyed at least seven churches, shot and beheaded more than two dozen people, and committed acts of arson against Christians and other civilians in several villages.

Khan had lived in Stockholm, Sweden, since at least 2019 and built up “a very large presence online” with hundreds of thousands of views on his TikTok videos, Southwark crown court was told.

In October last year Khan announced that he was preparing to cross to England in a small boat, the court was told.

The following day Khan, who used the social media name Madapasa, allegedly posted a TikTok video addressed to “English man Nigel” telling him to “delete the video”, it is alleged.

Khan allegedly said: “I come to England because I want to be married with your sister.” He also twice threatened “pop, pop pop” while making trigger gestures with his hand, the court was told. Some of his other videos allegedly featured men with guns.

President Trump on Sunday said that he would bomb Iran again if the country restarts its nuclear program, warning the US was “not going to wait so long this time,” a threat that comes amid growing signs that another US-Israeli war against Iran may be coming.

A Spanish court has begun the terrorism trial of Yassine Kanjaa, a Moroccan man accused of killing a church sacristan and injuring a priest in machete attacks in Algeciras in 2023. Prosecutors seek 50 years in prison, alleging Kanjaa was radicalized and targeted religious figures.

On January 25, 2023, Yassine Kanjaa attacked two churches in Algeciras with a machete, killing a sacristan and wounding a priest, before being arrested trying to enter a third church.

Despite a diagnosis of psychotic disorders, authorities say his mental impairment was not complete. Kanjaa, who had no prior criminal record and entered Spain illegally, will face questioning after eyewitnesses and experts testify.

The number of Catholics in Austria is falling sharply, while its Muslim population continues to grow. By 2024, Catholics in the population numbered 4.56 million with 71,531 leaving the church that year, compared to just over 5,000 joining or returning.

In contrast, by 2021 the total Muslim population was observed to have reached approximately 700,000. Although smaller than the Catholic community, its rapid rate of growth shows a shift in Austria’s religious composition.

The state also collects less data on religion than before, relying now on voluntary surveys rather than mandatory census questions—reflecting a changing relationship between church and society.

This shift is most readily apparent in Vienna’s classrooms, where young Muslims make up the largest religious group.

On the heels of the UK recognizing an Islamic terrorist state in Israel, police arrested the third known person for criticizing Hamas and released a Muslim man who had gone on a stabbing spree after he saw a Koran being burned. Or as the judge in the case put it, “the holy Koran.”

Who is the Koran holy to? The political and judicial systems of the United Kingdom which have effectively enacted Islamic Sharia blasphemy law by selectively prosecuting those who offend Islam. But not those who offend the religious sensibilities of Christians or Jews. Do whatever you like with a cross or a bible, but touch a Koran and you’re not only under arrest.

In Dortmund, seven men have acknowledged paternity for a total of 122 children—despite not being their biological fathers. This recognition grants foreign mothers the right to reside in Germany, while the men often receive financial compensation and the state covers child support costs. Investigations are ongoing in several cases.

The incentive for this practice lies in the current legal framework, Apollo News explains: when a German citizen acknowledges paternity of a child born to a foreign mother, the child automatically gains German citizenship, which in turn grants the mother a residence permit. Authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia report that men often receive thousands of euros for such acknowledgments, while they typically do not pay maintenance—costs that are instead covered by the state.

This loophole exists because, since the 1997 reform of children’s rights, paternity can be recognised without judicial review, even before the child’s birth.

Pro-Palestinian protesters took to the streets across Spain and Italy over the weekend, with clashes erupting between protesters and police in multiple cities. In Barcelona, eight people were arrested and 20 officers injured after demonstrators vandalised shops they claimed were linked to Israel, according to police.

Tens of thousands also protested in Madrid and other Spanish cities, as well as in Rome and Lisbon, in response to Israel stopping the Global Sumud Flotilla—a multinational convoy directly funded and coordinated by the terrorist group Hamas.

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said that out of the 49 Spaniards detained by Israeli forces on the flotilla, 21 would return to Spain from Tel Aviv on Sunday, October 5th.

In Rome, the fourth consecutive day of protests saw hundreds of thousands march past the Colosseum, while police estimated the crowd at 250,000. The demonstrations included anti-Israeli chants and at least one banner praising Hamas’ October 7th terrorist attack, where the terrorist group killed over 1,200 people and and took 251 hostage.

Towards the end of the march, around 200 protesters clashed with officers near the St. Mary Major basilica. Police used tear gas and water cannons, detaining 12 suspects and recording the identities of 262 others.

After the statue of Pope John Paul II outside the main train station in Rome was defaced by graffiti, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni condemned the protesters, saying: “They say they are taking to the streets for peace, but then they insult the memory of a man who was a true defender and builder of peace. A shameful act committed by people blinded by ideology.”

The October 7 perpetrators recorded themselves and their victims, reveling in their savagery as they murdered 1,195 people in the most gruesome ways. It was a day of infanticide, beheading, incineration, hostage-taking, and of course rape. Not just random and intermittent rape, but gang rape, communal rape – carefully-planned, procedural, strategic rape. This dimension of October 7 has its own academic-diplomatic term: conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV).

The Dinah Project has documented Hamas’ “systematic and intentional usage of sexual violence as a weapon of war” on October 7 in a report that shows how the “complexity and modus operandi of the attacks, which seem to have occurred over three cumulative waves appear to demonstrate a significant level of planning, coordination and detailed prior knowledge of the targets selected.”

On October 7, Gazans killed children in front of their parents and parents in front of their children. To further traumatize the children, they slaughtered scores, perhaps hundreds, of pet dogs.

Everything about the day was planned for maximum cruelty. No analogues in modern history exist.

So, let’s have no more euphemisms like “the tragedy of October 7” or “the events of October 7.” Let’s dispense with the quotidian nouns and modifiers. There was nothing common about October 7. Let the date alone designate the day of infamy.

Call it simply October 7.

Four ‘pro-Gaza’ activists threw red paint on the German Federal Foreign Office building in Berlin, on Thursday, October 2nd, smearing the facade and ground with slogans and what looked like fake blood. Police arrested all four, plus another person who tried to interfere in the arrest.

Soon after, more pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside the building, chanting “Free Gaza” and other slogans. They declared support for the Global Sumud Flotilla, which Greta Thunberg had joined before it was intercepted by the Israeli Navy.

The incident came just days after a large pro-Palestinian protest in Berlin with around 60,000 participants, where some demonstrators shouted antisemitic slogans.

Hamas said Friday that it has accepted some elements of President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip, including giving up power and releasing all remaining hostages, but that others require further consultations among Palestinians.

The statement came hours after Trump said that Hamas must agree to the deal by Sunday evening, threatening an even greater military onslaught nearly two years into the war sparked by the Oct. 7, 2023, attack into Israel. It was unclear how the U.S. and Israel would respond to partial acceptance.

Trump appears keen to deliver on pledges to end the war and return dozens of hostages ahead of the second anniversary of the attack on Tuesday. His peace plan has been accepted by Israel and welcomed internationally, but key mediators Egypt and Qatar have said some elements need further negotiation, without elaborating.

Jihad Al-Shamie, the Syrian-born British citizen who police say attacked a synagogue in England on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of two worshippers, was out on bail on suspicion of rape at the time, according to reports.

Authorities had said that Al-Shamie was not known to them before his terror attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester despite being investigated in connection with an alleged rape earlier this year.

Al-Shamie was fatally shot by police after plowing his vehicle into a crowd of worshippers on Yom Kippur — the holiest day of the Jewish year — and stabbing them.

A day after Jihad al-Shamie had driven his car at speed at Jewish worshippers and then stabbed at them in a frenzied, murderous assault, his father posted on Facebook a short statement expressing his “profound shock”.

In a 124-word statement, Faraj al-Shamie said he and his family “strongly condemns this heinous act, which targeted peaceful, innocent civilians”. It was a show of contrition seemingly fitting of a Syrian-born doctor who has spent years working overseas as a trauma surgeon, often in hostile environments.

Except that on Oct 7 2023, in the hours after Hamas terrorists stormed Israel and slaughtered almost 1,200 people and took 250 civilians and soldiers hostage, the father appeared to show not a shred of humanity for the Jewish victims of that atrocity.

On the same Facebook page where he said how sorry he was about the Manchester attack, he had posted, some two years earlier, praise for the Hamas fighters, describing them as “Allah’s men on earth”.

He didn’t stop there. The armed militants who had infiltrated the Jewish state on motorbikes and paragliders had “proved beyond a shadow of a doubt” that Israel would eventually be destroyed, he went on.

As long as Islam exists, ‘jihadis’ will be a problem. It’s been that way for 1400 years, and there is no indication that it will change. Whether our Ruling Class will continue prating how ‘peaceful’ Muslims are while ignoring the mass murder, or whether they will wake up and decide to do something about it, is an exercise left for the reader.

The incident unfolded outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. Authorities believe Al-Shamie drove his car into worshippers before exiting the vehicle and launching a knife attack. Two men were killed and three others injured.

Officers initially reported that the attacker appeared to be wearing an explosive vest, but later confirmed it was a non-viable device, reports the Mirror. Now more details of Al-Shamie have emerged, here is what we know so far.

According to the PA news agency, Al-Shamie was a British citizen of Syrian descent. He arrived in the UK as a young child and was granted citizenship in 2006. Security services confirmed his name had not previously appeared in police or intelligence databases, and he had not been referred to the government’s Prevent anti-radicalisation programme.

A Michigan youth center Friday hosted a memorial service mourning the “martyrdom” of terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The event featured local Islamic leader Usama AbdulGhani, a resident scholar and spiritual leader at a K-5 school, who praised Nasrallah’s “bravery” and “divine resistance”—a resistance he said is now led by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Nasrallah, the long-term leader of Hezbollah, an officially designated U.S. terrorist organization, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in 2024 after spending decades on Israel’s kill list for his involvement in numerous deadly attacks.

The event, held at the Hadi Youth Community Center in Dearborn, Michigan, commemorated the one-year anniversary of Nasrallah’s death and urged prayers for the “ultimate victory of the Resistance.”

In yet another development which will certainly complicate current Trump administration efforts to find peace in Gaza, the National Security Committee in the Israeli Knesset is advancing a bill to impose the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners detained for killing Israelis.

Killings which are deemed motivated by “racism or hostility to the public” or aimed at harming the “State of Israel” or seeking to thwart the “revival of the Jewish people” would be a capital offensive, according to the legislation. Interestingly, the wording highlights Jewish citizens of Israel are the priority – and not for example Christian, Muslim, or Druze citizens.

It has unleashed immediate controversy both within and outside of Israel. For starters, some Israeli officials as well as families of Oct.7 victims fear that this puts the remaining hostages in Gaza at immediate risk. Notably, the bill does not apply the opposite direction – that is, it would not apply to Israelis who kill Palestinians.

Well, considering that ‘Palestinians’ kill Jews just for being Jews….

Yemen’s Houthis will target U.S. oil majors including Exxon Mobil and Chevron despite an earlier truce with President Donald Trump’s administration to not attack U.S.-linked ships sailing in the Red Sea and the wider Gulf of Aden, the Iran-backed militia said Tuesday.

The Sanaa-based Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC), which liaises between Houthi forces and commercial shipping operators and is associated with the Houthi military, sanctioned 13 U.S. companies, nine executives and two vessels.

Entities designated by the Houthis “shall be dealt with in accordance with the principle of confrontation,” HOCC said on its website of what it will do regarding those deemed to be under their sanctions.

A viral video showing a group of high school seniors in Argentina chanting antisemitic slogans during their graduation trip has prompted a wave of condemnation, including from President Javier Milei.

The video, recorded in the city of Bariloche, shows students from Escuela Humanos, a private school in Greater Buenos Aires, chanting “Today we burn Jews.” A coordinator from the travel company Baxtter appears to join in the chants.

It is common during graduation trips to the southern mountain city for tour companies to combine buses from different schools for certain excursions. Students from Escuela Humanos were traveling with students from a Jewish school, Escuela ORT.

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday defended London Mayor Sadiq Khan following President Donald Trump’s statement that Khan was “terrible” and wanted to put Britain’s capital under Islamic religious law, calling the claim “ridiculous.”

Trump made the comments during his address at the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday.

“I look at London where you have a terrible mayor, a terrible, terrible mayor,” the president said.

This past week, Canada, the UK and Australia have formally recognised the State of Palestine. There is now a decent possibility that the declaration of Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank is likely to follow. Hamas is now further from agreeing to a deal than ever, as they are rewarded for 7th October and riding high in Palestinian polling. Peace in the Middle East looks further away than ever, thanks to this foolish and premature move.

There is more to it, though. How did these three countries align and synchronise in this manner?

An influential progressive think tank, aligned with Qatar’s agenda, has been quietly orchestrating a significant shift in Western policy towards Israel and Palestine. The Center for American Progress (CAP), a Washington, D.C.–based NGO described by critics as a “pro-Qatar” organisation, has used its global network to encourage allied governments to recognise a Palestinian state and adopt more hardline positions against Israel.

In Amsterdam Nieuw-West, a 24-year-old man with an intellectual disability was assaulted and robbed during the night by two Arabic-speaking youths. The attack took place between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in a park near Pieter Calandlaan, local AT5 reported.

According to police, the victim was first approached around 11 p.m. in the park. Armed with knives, the attackers forced him to hand over his phone, ID card, and PIN, and even compelled him to increase the spending limit on his account. He was beaten and intimidated throughout the night.

The abuse escalated further: the suspects compelled the victim to lie among stones near a skate park, holding him there until daylight. At one point, a passerby confronted the pair and asked what they were doing. Police noted that the youths reacted casually, after which the man walked away. The victim remained trapped until morning.

What followed was a decade-long civil war — Algeria’s “Black Decade” – that left more than 200,000 people dead, many of them civilians.

This was not a remote or tidy struggle. It was marked by massacres of entire villages such as Rais, Bentalha and Sidi Hamed, where men, women and children were slaughtered. Armed Islamist factions used children as human shields. The state responded with mass arrests, secret detention camps, torture and widespread disappearances. Human rights groups estimate that 7,000–20,000 Algerians simply vanished after being picked up by the security services. It was a conflict of unrelenting terror that scarred Algerian society for a generation.

This was not an isolated episode in the Arab world. Across the Middle East and North Africa, — secular Arab governments — have repeatedly been forced to crack down on the Muslim Brotherhood when it has threatened to seize state power. Egypt, Syria, Jordan, the Persian Gulf states (except Qatar), and of course Algeria have all confronted the movement. In each case, the lesson has been the same: when the Brotherhood is allowed to operate unchecked, the consequences are catastrophic for civil society, women, minorities and political pluralism.

Fifteen of the European Union’s 27 member states—around 55%—have now publicly recognised the imaginary state of Palestine. So has the United Kingdom. These European leaders are openly rewarding the Islamist terrorists of Hamas for their genocidal war against Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East and the only Jewish state on earth.

No wonder Hamas hailed the recent wave of recognitions as a “victory” for its “just cause.” That cause is not the West’s dreamed-of two-state-solution; Hamas supports no such thing. Its avowed cause is a jihad to wipe the Israeli state off the map altogether and drive the Jews into the Mediterranean—the real meaning of the “From the river to the sea” chant so beloved by the Islamo-left in the West.

The only ‘justice’ Hamas seeks for Israelis is the sort of summary executions it handed down on October 7th, the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust that the Islamist death cult has vowed to repeat “again and again” if it survives the war in Gaza.

One year after its war with Israel, Iran’s terror proxy Hezbollah is clinging to its finances even as pressure mounts to dismantle its militia and choke off its funding networks.

The killing of longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli strike on September 27th last year dealt a heavy blow to the group’s leadership. Yet under his successor Naim Qassem, Hezbollah has so far kept its command structure intact—thanks largely to continued cash infusions from Iran.

U.S. envoy Tom Barrack revealed the terror organisation has been raking in “$60 million a month” since a November ceasefire. Fighters themselves admit the money is still flowing: AFP spoke to several Hezbollah members who confirmed the group has not missed a single payment.

Thousands took to the streets in Italy on Monday to protest against Israel’s attack on Gaza, blocking roads and railways as unions called a general strike and masked protesters clashed with police in Milan.

officers were injured as they used batons and tear gas to push back protesters who smashed windows at Milan’s central station.

Schools shut and train services were hit as staff responded to calls from unions to join marchers calling for a halt to Israel’s invasion of Gaza and backing the 50 vessel-strong flotilla trying to deliver aid to Palestinians.

On July 14 at 6:15AM, armed members of the Syrian Security Directorate surrounded the Saraya family home in the predominantly Druze province of Sweida. They began shooting wildly into the house where the large Saraya family members were sleeping including the Saraya brothers, husbands, mothers and wives lived. They were “security forces”— violent jihadists inducted into the armed forces of newly installed President al-Shara, himself a long-time leader of radical Islamic terrorist group who once had a $10 million dollar U.S. bounty on his head for the murder of thousands of innocent civilians including Americans.

In the home at the time was 35-year-old Hussam Saraya, an American from Oklahoma who had returned to Sweida to help his brothers and sister take care of their father, whose health was in serious decline. The security forces dragged the 8 men living on the second floor and handcuffed and blindfolded them. They were led up the street to Tishreen Square where they were machine gunned to death in a horrific manner, captured on video that went viral on social media.

I have been interviewing leaders of the Syrian Druze as well as other religious minorities for the past 5 months who have been subjected to violent mass murder that reached a total of 3,000 Druze in a 7-day period in mid-July. The total number of minorities killed by al-Shara’s forces since taking power is now at least 10,000. They were deliberately slaughtered one by one in what can only be categorized as a true genocide, one that the mainstream media has largely ignored.

Islamic State has issued a fresh call for terror attacks across Britain, the United States, Europe, and beyond, urging followers to target Christians, Jews, and their “allies” in what it calls revenge for Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza.

In an online message titled O Zealous Monotheists, ISIS spokesman Abu Hudhaifa al-Ansari told supporters to “chase your prey… in the streets and roads of precious America, Europe, and the world. Break into their homes, kill them, and punish them by any means you can.”

The statement, circulated on extremist channels, detailed methods including bombings, shootings, stabbings, and vehicle attacks, saying militants should “perfect the plans and diversify the operations” to “avenge Muslims in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, and all Muslim lands.”

The call comes as Israeli forces intensify their ground assault on Gaza City, where hundreds of thousands of civilians remain trapped amid severe shortages of food and medicine. Israel launched the operation after the 7 October 2023 Hamas attack that killed around 1,200 people and saw more than 250 taken hostage.

On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces said it had hit over 150 targets in Gaza in two days, insisting its military campaign aims to dismantle Hamas and free remaining hostages.

British authorities have not yet commented publicly on the ISIS statement, which echoes previous calls by the group to inspire so-called lone-wolf attacks across Western cities.

As long as Islam exists, ‘jihadis’ will be a problem. It’s been that way for 1400 years, and there is no indication that it will change. Whether our Ruling Class will continue prating how ‘peaceful’ Muslims are while ignoring the mass murder, or whether they will wake up and decide to do something about it, is an exercise left for the reader.

Most readers are aware that I live in a remote rural area of the Central Virginia Piedmont. A new wave of terrorist threats is raising alarm across the West after the Islamic State group (formerly ISIS) released a disturbing statement urging its followers to launch attacks against Christians, Jews, and their allies in the United States, Europe, and beyond.

The call to violence comes at the same time as U.S. counterterrorism officials warned of a possible al-Qaida plot to strike American targets in the near future.

Sweden, once regarded as one of Europe’s most peaceful nations, is now grappling with levels of gang violence unprecedented on the continent.

According to Euronews, Stockholm is one of the most dangerous cities in Europe: it has recorded 55 shootings up until August this year, resulting in nine deaths, while nationwide, there have been 113 incidents, leaving 33 people dead.

The country has become a hotspot for drug gangs that often deploy teenage hitmen and makeshift explosives in their violent turf wars.

The scale of the problem is not confined to the capital. Malmö, Gothenburg, and Uppsala are also scarred by shootings, bombings, and killings linked to rival groups.

Sweden’s homicide rate involving firearms ranked third highest in Europe in 2022, behind only Montenegro and Albania. This marks a stark departure from the country’s historic image of Nordic order and stability.

The Taliban has removed books written by women from Afghan universities and banned the teaching of human rights, sexual harassment, and 18 other subjects—citing conflicts with Sharia law.

About 140 female-authored books were among 680 deemed “of concern.” The decree continues the Taliban’s restrictions since regaining power four years ago.

Women and girls are hit hardest, barred from education beyond sixth grade—with even midwifery courses closed in 2024.

Nevertheless the Taliban claims it respects women’s rights under its interpretation of Afghan law and culture.

Israel shut the sole gateway between the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Jordan on Friday, a day after a driver bringing humanitarian aid from Jordan for Gaza opened fire and killed two Israeli military personnel there.

The Israeli Airports Authority, which operates the Allenby Bridge crossing, announced that it would be closed until further notice.

The two crossings between Israel itself and Jordan were also affected, with the Jordan River crossing in the north shut and the Rabin crossing in the south remaining open only for workers.
