Belgium’s ongoing evacuation of people from the Gaza Strip has triggered a political storm after footage emerged of two young boys arriving at Ostend Airport wearing black sweatshirts printed with large images of an M16 rifle.

The pair was among 75 Palestinians evacuated at the end of October, part of a wider humanitarian operation that has brought around 850 people to Belgium since 2023.

Iran confirmed Saturday that its Revolutionary Guards had seized a tanker in Gulf waters carrying a cargo of petrochemicals bound for Singapore over alleged violations, Iranian state media reported.

A U.S. official and maritime security sources had said Friday that Iranian forces intercepted the oil products tanker and diverted it into Iranian territorial waters. It was the first report of Tehran seizing a tanker since Israeli-U.S. strikes on Iran in June.

Iranian state-run television read a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stating that “the tanker was in violation for carrying unauthorized cargo.” It did not provide further details of the alleged violations.

Spain’s Balearic Islands are facing an unprecedented surge in migrant arrivals as smugglers shift their operations from Morocco to Algeria. In the past two days alone, 19 boats carrying around 360 people reached the Spanish archipelago, defying authorities’ efforts to curb the fastest-growing migration route into the European Union.

According to EU border agency Frontex, arrivals via the Western Mediterranean route—from Algeria to Spain—rose 27% in January-October 2025 compared to the same period last year, even as overall illegal entries into the EU fell 22%. Smugglers are exploiting perceived weaker controls in Algeria and using faster boats, with the Balearics as their main destination. Departures from Algeria now account for 75% of people using this route, up from 40% last year.

The surge has strained local authorities and facilities. Nearly 6,280 migrants arrived in the Balearics between January and October, a 66% increase from 2024. Authorities have been overwhelmed, storing abandoned boats and supplies—life jackets, water bottles, flares—after rescuing migrants from the 300-kilometer sea crossing. With more than 330 boats arriving since January, 2025 has already surpassed last year’s total.

In November 2015, a string of attacks later claimed by terror group ISIS in the French capital Paris killed 137 people and shook the world. Ten years on, jihadist terror in Europe is still a major topic of concern, data by Europol shows. At the same time, ISIS in Syria and Iraq has had its presence majorly decimated, leading to fewer attacks and victims by the terror group in the region and elsewhere, while ISIS subgroups in African countries are inflicting more deadly attacks, mostly on their strongholds in the Sahel region, West Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

ISIS remains a threat even in its original location but has lost territory and influence as is was pushed back by local troops and an international alliance. This caused the group to change its strategy and pivot to a decentralized model of subgroups scattered across the globe, operating in near-autonomy. Especially in Africa, the terror group has been able to exploit the local realities of what the Geopolitical Monitor calls “chronic fragilty”.

Data by the Global Terrorism Trends and Analysis Center accessed in November 2025 shows that the ISIS subgroups Greater Sahara, Western Africa, DRC, Somalia and Mozambique claimed the lives of more than 3,000 people last year. This is a stark increase from just around 600 in 2018. Northern African groups were less active in 2024, but had killed as many 800 in 2018.

At the same time, ISIS core groups in Syria and Iraq were still responsible for the deaths of around 1,000 people last year, down from 3,500 in 2018. ISIS in the Khorasan region, encompassing Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Central Asia was also decimated over the years and killed fewer than 400 recently, down from more than 1,200 when database records started in 2018.

Europe is facing a mounting threat from Hamas, whose operatives have infiltrated the continent to establish their presence across Europe.

This week, in Germany, police apprehended Borhan El-K., a suspected Hamas member who had procured an automatic rifle, eight pistols, and more than 600 rounds of ammunition, allegedly intended for attacks on Jewish institutions. The weapons were reportedly handed to another suspected member of the terrorist group, Wael FM, in Berlin. German authorities believe the group had been stockpiling arms since the summer.

The danger is not confined to Germany. Last week, a Hamas-linked weapons cache was discovered in Vienna. After the incident, a 39-year-old British citizen—identified in Germany as Mohammed A.—was arrested in London. Uncontrolled migration and open borders have inadvertently provided cover, allowing extremists to operate undetected and to cross borders seamlessly.

A decade has passed since the night of November 13, 2015—the night when the heart of Paris was pierced by a wave of coordinated terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 130 people. Among the bloodiest of these was the massacre at the Bataclan concert hall, where 90 concertgoers were gunned down in cold blood.

A single photograph from that night has stayed with me over the years. It was taken just minutes before the attack began—an image of joy and abandon. The crowd is ecstatic. Arms are raised. Smiles are everywhere. The atmosphere is electric with freedom, pleasure, and anticipation. The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal is on stage, and the audience, caught in the height of their performance, appears to embody everything modern Western nightlife claims to be: liberated, exuberant, carefree.

But this seemingly ordinary concert would soon become the stage for one of the most horrific terrorist attacks in modern European history. Moments after that photograph was taken, three Islamist gunmen entered the venue and opened fire. What began as a celebration of life ended in a massacre. The photograph is haunting not only because we now know what came next, but because, when viewed in hindsight, the moment it captures seems loaded with meaning—perhaps even prophetic.

Sara Sharif’s neighbours did not report concerns that she was being abused to police because they were scared of being called racist, a safeguarding review has found.The 10-year-old schoolgirl was discovered dead at her home in Woking, Surrey, on Aug 10 2023, after being beaten, burned, hooded and strangled.
Urfan Sharif, Sara’s father, 43, and Beinash Batool, her stepmother, 31, were sentenced to life in prison last year for her murder after subjecting her to years of “inconceivable cruelty”.
Local authorities commissioned a safeguarding practice review after the convictions.
It found wide-ranging failings by a number of authorities and said neighbours of the family were scared to report “concerns about what they heard” in the Sharif household.
“They feared being branded as being racist, especially on social media,” the authors of the report wrote.
“While understanding their point of view, this is concerning that race was a bar to reporting possible child abuse and it needs to be overcome.”

Canada has warned its citizens to exercise caution when traveling to Sweden, placing the country in the same travel advisory category as Turkey and Morocco. Once seen as tranquil, Sweden has experienced a sharp rise in recent gang-related crime—including shootings, bombings, robberies, and sexual assaults.

The Canadian travel advisory cites two main risks: gang violence and terrorism. It advises travelers to stay alert, avoid crowds and be cautious in areas with high crime. Gang violence is increasingly affecting residential neighborhoods, shopping malls and public spaces, sometimes harming innocent bystanders.

This warning marks a significant shift in the international perception of Sweden which was previously considered one of the world’s safest countries before the onset of massive illegal migration.

According to a recent report commissioned by trade association GCSP, offenses and aggression in German shopping centers are on the rise, with 75% of perpetrators identified as having a migration background. The GCSP warns that this trend is creating a sense of lack of safety among staff and customers, compounded by inconsistent law enforcement.

Last Saturday in Stuttgart, a 37-year-old Romanian man caught shoplifting attempted to punch a store detective and resisted arrest even after police arrived.

Such incidents are typical across Germany: the GCSP survey, covering 1,105 retail properties including 248 shopping centers, 99 retail parks, and 758 large-scale stores, documented 18,276 cases in 2024—a 32% increase over 2023. Knives or tools were involved in 2,905 cases, drug use in 1,389, and 235 people were injured. Repeat offenders remain high at 35%.

More migrants have crossed the Channel illegally during Shabana Mahmood’s short tenure as home secretary than under any other home secretary since 2022—despite Labour’s promises to crack down on border crossings.

Mahmood has overseen 10,000 crossings in just 66 days, outdoing her Labour predecessor, Yvette Cooper, by just over a week.

The last time this record was beaten (in an impressive 43 days!) was when Conservative Suella Braverman was home secretary in 2022, which is ironic given all of her (questionable) talk about the importance of getting a grip on mass—legal and illegal—migration.

The Mail described Mahmood’s effort as “grim,” noting that under her watch, 2,000 migrants crossed the Channel from France—a safe country—in just four days. Over the same period, deportations of foreign criminals have been minimal, despite ministers proving late last month that they could remove more migrants if they really wanted to.

A government source also told the paper that the record was “unfortunate,” which is somewhat of an understatement.

A violent, bloody brawl broke out outside the Turning Point USA finale event Monday night at the University of California, Berkeley, where protesters, clad in black masks and keffiyehs, swarmed the hall’s entrance, chanting “No Trump, No KKK, No fascist USA” and screaming obscenities at attendees, calling them “fascists.”

The chaos erupted on Bancroft Way ahead of the conservative group’s event at Zellerbach Hall, headlined by comedian Rob Schneider and Christian author Frank Turek, and held exactly two months after Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at a Utah college campus, reports Berkeleyside.

Mikey McCoy, who had served as Kirk’s chief of staff, accused the protesters of being antifa, an anti-fascist movement with no official leaders.

It doesn’t need a leader. Plagues never do. What it needs is anti-biotic. And the Right is unwilling to do what it takes.

A suicide bombing outside district court buildings in the Pakistani capital Islamabad killed at least 12 people and wounded 27 on Tuesday, November 11th. People fled in panic in an area housing several government offices.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pinning the blame on “terrorist proxies backed by Pakistan’s longtime foe India” —without providing any evidence. Sharif also accused the Pakistani Taliban militant group and separatists from the country’s Balochistan region, both of whom have carried out attacks, mostly targeting the security forces.

Islamabad has largely been spared major militant violence in recent years, with the last suicide attack occurring in December 2022.

“There was an attack in Wana as well last night,” Naqvi said. “Three people died in that attack. The attacker involved in that attack is an Afghan. Afghanistan is directly involved in that attack.”

The priorities of Britain’s extremism researchers, and even those of the country’s state apparatus, do not reflect the fact that Islamism presents the greatest terror threat to the UK. Islamism is a religio-political movement that aims to reestablish a theocratic Caliphate in the modern world—a single polity encompassing all of the world’s Muslims, within which Sharia Law would be followed in all matters, and non-Muslims would be reduced to (at best) second-class citizens. This ideology began with the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in 1928, and it now exists in multiple variants and offshoots worldwide. Al-Qaeda, Islamic State, Boko Haram, Hamas, the Taliban, and the Shi’ite regime ruling the Islamic Republic of Iran are all overtly Islamist entities, while the governments of Turkey and Qatar might diplomatically be described as influenced by or sympathetic to Islamism.

Dutch media reported on Monday morning on the appearance of “a Gazan who cheered on the October 7th attacks in Israel” at a pro-Palestine sit-in at Amsterdam Central Station. De Telegraaf notes that while Mohaned al-Khatib, the Gazan in question, “describes himself as a journalist … in his comments, however, he openly reveals himself to be a Hamas supporter. He is pictured arm in arm with then-Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh.”

Around 40 pro-Palestinian activists stormed the main building of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) on Friday, November 7th, setting off fireworks from the roof and displaying a banner.

The activists occupied the building for about two hours before leaving, after the university threatened them with trespassing charges. Police then secured the entrances. According to authorities, around 500 people joined the broader demonstration across Munich with 100 police officers deployed. No further incidents were reported.

Bavaria’s Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Fight against Antisemitism, Ludwig Spaenle, condemned the protest, stating that while criticism of the Israeli government is legitimate, defaming German academic institutions is unacceptable. He described the activists’ claims about TUM’s alleged involvement in Gaza’s suffering as “vile slander” and “completely unfounded.”

A nonprofit with deep ties to anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour, strong supporter of New York City’s Democrat socialist Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, reportedly has received more than $4 million in taxpayer money.

The revelation raises questions about how far Mamdani’s administration will go in funding radical activism.

Public records reviewed by The Washington Free Beacon showed that the Arab American Association of New York, which Sarsour ran for more than a decade, received $3.3 million from New York City and $854,000 from New York state between 2017 and 2024.

FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker resigned last Wednesday morning, less than 12 hours after Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the New York City mayoral race over Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, according to the Daily News and Firehouse.

In a letter to Mayor Eric Adams, Tucker said his final day will be Dec. 19. “Between now and then, I will continue to lead the greatest fire department in the world and will ensure an orderly transition,” he wrote.

A department source said Tucker has had no discussions with Mamdani’s team about remaining in his post.

The source added that Tucker, who is Jewish and a Zionist, believed he wouldn’t align well with Mamdani, a Democratic socialist who faced criticism during the campaign for remarks some viewed as anti-Semitic.

The report notes that Tucker, CEO of a private security firm and longtime member of the FDNY Foundation board, was appointed commissioner in August 2024, succeeding Laura Kavanagh, the department’s first female commissioner.

The Austrian Interior Ministry is continuing deportations to Afghanistan, if not exactly at breakneck speed. Early Sunday morning, a man convicted of drug-related crimes was deported back to his homeland. This marks the second deportation to Afghanistan since the Taliban regained power.

The Ministry has stepped up deportations in recent months, also returning Somali and Syrian nationals for the first time in decades. Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) emphasised that further deportations are planned to both Afghanistan and Syria.

The man, convicted in March for attempting to sell drugs in Vienna, was transported to Kabul via Istanbul under the supervision of Austrian police. Despite increased deportations, Austria has continued to approve Afghan asylum applications, with nearly 4,000 accepted in the first three quarters of the year and a recognition rate of 76%.

Brussels is grappling with widespread and increasing crime that shows little signs of abating. This weekend’s crimes yet again underscore the need for the government to urgently restore safety and reassure citizens amid the escalating violence.

On Friday, shots were fired at a group of people in the Schaerbeek district, fatally wounding a 25-year-old man. The suspects fled the scene, and authorities are currently looking for witnesses who may be able to provide information about the incident.

A few kilometers away, also on Friday evening, a police check almost ended in tragedy. Two patrol officers narrowly avoided being run over by a speeding car that deliberately drove toward them while they were conducting a vehicle inspection. They managed to jump out of the way at the last moment, but the car crashed into their police vehicle, severely damaging it. The driver—a 36-year-old man under the influence of alcohol—was arrested at the scene.

An explosion occurred in Antwerp early Saturday morning. Authorities believe the attack may be drug-related but say all possible motives are still being investigated. The Belgian city has become one of Europe’s largest drug-import hubs. Drug gangs often consist of young people with migrant backgrounds who struggle to find work in the traditional labor market.

The drug trade is partly responsible for the sharp deterioration in public safety in the capital and the recent wave of armed attacks. The situation has become so dangerous nationwide that the Minister of the Interior has announced an increase in police presence across Belgium and the installation of around €20 million worth of surveillance cameras in major cities. By the end of the year, soldiers will be deployed on the streets of Brussels to deter criminals.

A Sudanese paramilitary group accused of slaughtering civilians in the city of El Fasher has been linked to fresh atrocities hundreds of miles to the east.

Galvanised by its capture of the last army-held stronghold in Darfur, the widely feared Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has escalated a bloody offensive against towns and cities in the Kordofan region of central Sudan.

As in El Fasher, RSF fighters have reportedly carried out summary executions and used starvation tactics as they seek to regain momentum in a two-and-a-half-year civil war that has brutalised one of Africa’s most troubled states.

The advance into Kordofan – which will bring the RSF closer to Khartoum, Sudan’s capital – is likely to deepen a crisis that has driven millions from their homes and may have claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.

Governments attempting to restore ties with the Taliban are instead risking the legitimization of oppression. Doing so would deepen Afghanistan’s crisis, an independent UN human rights expert cautioned on October 30, calling for a principled approach that defends the rights of women and girls.

As the Taliban tighten control over Afghan society, everyone is forced to follow regulations and norms that the group has imposed. This includes the ban on women employees and a requirement that women must wear a burqa and have a male companion while traveling outside of the home. Everyone is expected to rigidly follow Islamic disciplines, especially going to the mosque. Failure to observe such requirements raises suspicion, and anyone can report violators to the local imam and/or Sharia police.

I doubt that ‘Islam’ as used here is strictly fair. It depends on what flavor of Islam is in charge. This is like talking about Christianity-controlled society and merely looking at Puritan Massachusetts. Catholic-controlled Maryland, or Anglican-controlled Virginia, were quite different. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are quite different, while both being thoroughly “Muslim-controlled”.

“New York will never be the same again, especially not for its Jewish community,” Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli tweeted. “I invite the Jews of New York to seriously consider making their new home in the Land of Israel.”

Chikli’s call dovetailed with another appeal to Jewish New Yorkers made by a spokesman for the Jewish settlement in Hebron, Yishai Fleisher.

“Indeed, it was a great run, and you were a blessing to NYC. But Jews will feel less and less comfortable in the Big Apple,” tweeted Fleisher. “So do yourself a favor, buy real estate in the Land of Israel.”

Austrian intelligence has uncovered a suspected Hamas-linked weapons depot in Vienna, seizing five handguns and ten magazines believed to have been smuggled into the country for potential attacks on Jewish or Israeli targets in Europe.

The cache was discovered inside a suitcase in a rented storage unit following weeks-long, internationally coordinated investigations by Austria’s state security and intelligence service (DSN). Officials said the matériel has been confiscated.

A 39-year-old British citizen—identified in Germany as Mohammed A.—was arrested in London on Monday. Prosecutors allege he twice met Abdel Al-G., who was detained in Germany last month on suspicion of planning attacks, and transported the weapons to Austria. He is expected to be extradited to Germany.

A British crime agency confirmed the arrest. Hamas has denied any connection to the suspects.

European services warn the case suggests the group had pre-positioned arms in Europe for possible operations.

An 18-year-old man has been charged in Sweden for planning a terrorist attack on a cultural festival in Stockholm in the name of the Islamic State.

Prosecutors say he studied how to make explosives, bought materials and a body camera and scouted the attack site. Authorities believe the arrest in February prevented a major attack.

The suspect, who had repeatedly sworn allegiance to IS, will go on trial next week alongside a 17-year-old also accused of terrorism-related crimes.

President Macron said he was “shocked” by the November 5th vehicle-ramming attack on the island of Oléron, off the Atlantic coast. As evidence mounts against the perpetrator, the authorities are increasingly embarrassed by the suspect’s ‘religious’ motives.

On Wednesday, at around 9:30 a.m., a man in his thirties injured ten people by deliberately crashing his vehicle into them in an incident that lasted around 35 minutes. He was eventually arrested and taken into custody after setting fire to his car and opening a gas cylinder.

This time, the press was quick to point out that the suspect was “of Caucasian origin”—a description that has no particular legal significance in France, but which serves to dispel any suspicion of ‘racism’ regarding the attacker’s possible foreign origin. He is indeed a French national, goes by the name of Jean Guillot and has a ‘European’ profile: he is tall, white and blond.

A man has been arrested in the UK and faces extradition to Germany, where he is accused of playing a “key role” in a Hamas-linked terror cell planning attacks on Israeli and Jewish institutions. Three other men thought to be part of this group were arrested in Germany in September and are accused of procuring firearms and ammunition.

Britain’s ITV makes note of the rather important fact that the newly-arrested 39-year-old man “is the son of a senior Hamas official” in its fifth paragraph, describing him four times before this as “British.”

In late October 2025, the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched a decisive assault on the city of El Fasher in North Darfur, marking a grim turning point in the ongoing war in Sudan. After an 18-month siege, the city’s last remaining hold-out of the national army in Darfur finally fell, sending tens of thousands of civilians fleeing and leaving behind a scene of carnage. ?

The RSF had surrounded the city with earthen berms and embargoed supplies for months, cutting off access for humanitarian aid and escape routes for civilians. ? On October 26 2025 they announced they had full control of the army’s 6th Division headquarters and other key positions inside El Fasher. ?

Once the RSF took control, multiple credible sources reported mass killings, summary executions, house-to-house raids, and attacks on hospitals and fleeing civilians. Satellite imagery and video footage show clusters of what appear to be bodies in public spaces, and large red stains on the ground consistent with mass fatalities. ? One hospital—the Saudi Maternity Hospital in the city—was reported to have been stormed and dozens of wounded, civilians and soldiers alike, were killed while lying in beds. ?

According to medical networks and human rights monitors, the death toll is likely in the thousands. A conservative estimate put the number at at least 1,500 civilians killed in the space of a few days, with some claiming over 2,000 fatalities. ? Ethnic motivations are also alleged, with the RSF targeting non-Arab sedentary communities in the Darfur region, prompting rights groups to call the assault a “true genocide”. ?

Iranians on Tuesday celebrated the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran — the first such commemoration since the U.S. bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities during a 12-day war with Israel in June.

On Nov. 4, 1979, Iranian students overran guards to take over the embassy, seizing dozens of hostages in a crisis that would last for more than a year.

In what is a yearly commemoration, thousands of people returned to the spot in downtown Tehran on Tuesday chanting “death to U.S.” and “death to Israel.”

If they’re not building nuclear weapons, why the insistence on building nuclear facilities? They don’t need nuclear power plants; they aren’t allowed to sell all of the oil they produce, so they ought to be set. This is a lie, and not even a  particularly good one.

As you may have noticed, media reports on Kilmar Ábrego García generally referred to him as a “Maryland man” (or even a “Maryland dad”). Not an “illegal immigrant”. Not a “Salvadoran gangster”. Not an “accused human trafficker”. Just a “Maryland man”.

In a similar fashion, Fox News is referring to the recently arrested culture-enriching jihad suspects in Dearborn as “Michigan men”. However, I prefer to zoom in on their hometown. And, given their tender age, I’ll refer to the mischievous youngsters as “Dearborn boys”.

On october 30th, a 36-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at a train station in Montpellier. The woman was trying to defend two teenage girls from the attacker, who is reportedly already facing a deportation order for a sexual assault charge and is in France illegally. The assailant was later arrested, according to the X post by Collectif Némésis covering the story.

In a sane country, it would be unthinkable that the murder of a two-year-old boy would go effectively unpunished. And yet this is exactly what is happening in Germany. In January this year, a 28-year-old Afghan asylum seeker—Enamullah Omarzai—launched a brutal attack on a group of toddlers on a daycare outing, at a park in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. With a large kitchen knife, he began stabbing two of the children—a two-year-old Moroccan boy and a two-year-old Syrian girl. One of the female teachers, as well as two male passersby, attempted to intervene, allowing the remaining teacher and children to escape. In the struggle, one teacher had her hand broken, while the two men were stabbed. The little boy and a 41-year-old man both died from their injuries.

Last week, as the trial for this case culminated, Judge Karsten Krebs decided that Omarzai could not be held criminally responsible for his actions. The court-appointed psychiatrist testified that Omarzai was suffering from a severe mental illness, and had heard voices in head that instructed him to attack the children. It was also apparently highly likely that Omarzai would commit more “highly aggressive acts,” if he was not detained in a facility. He had also previously been prescribed medication, which he refused to take, and had repeatedly been released from psychiatric care, apparently because he did not pose any risk to others.

The details of this case will be grimly familiar. Omarzai arrived in Germany in 2022, after travelling through Bulgaria, Austria, and France. His asylum claim was rejected and he had been under a deportation order since 2024. But, by January this year, he was still in the country. He had also had numerous run-ins with the police, including for assault and property damage. Between the deportation order, the mental-health services, and the interactions with police, there were plenty of opportunities for Omarzai to be kept off the streets. The failure of all these agencies led to the deaths of an innocent child and a man who was simply trying to do the right thing.

Federal prosecutors say an ISIS-inspired terror plot was hatched in Michigan but stopped before it could unfold.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a newly unsealed complaint that reveals a “major ISIS-linked terror plot” involving multiple suspects arrested in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Bondi said the men had AR-15 rifles, tactical gear, and a detailed plan “to carry out an attack on American soil.”

The Israeli government is considering approving the safe transit of about 200 Hamas terrorists, who were trapped behind the Yellow Line in tunnels in the Rafah area, to the area vacated by the IDF, according to reports in Arab and Hebrew media.

The Qatari government-affiliated Al Jazeera outlet reported that the terrorists are trapped in several “pockets” within the Rafah area, with some of them staying in underground tunnels which have not yet been destroyed by the Israeli military.

Arab reports said that “mediators” of the ceasefire were requesting the Israeli government to allow the terrorists safe passage to the Hamas-held side of the ceasefire.

At the time of writing, it seems fairly likely that a Somali Muslim named Omar Fateh will shortly be elected mayor of Minneapolis, and it looks almost certain that a Ugandan desi Muslim named Zohran Mamdani will be elected mayor of New York City.

Dearborn, Michigan already has a Muslim mayor, but the city has a majority Muslim population, so that makes sense. In contrast, Muslims in New York and Minneapolis are a minority. A substantial and rapidly increasing minority, but still a minority.

So how do those cities manage to elect Muslim mayors?

In order to be elected mayor of a major American metropolis, a Muslim candidate has to persuade a large number of non-Muslims to vote for him. Those infidel voters will include many African-Americans, but the votes of plenty of white people will also be needed. In order to persuade all those kuffar to pull the lever for a Muslim, the would-be mayor and his handlers will need to convince them that the candidate is just the man they need to deliver everything they want. That requires the candidates to be less than truthful in what they tell the voters.

I’ve been observing the mendacious public utterances of prominent Muslims for more than twenty years, and continue to be impressed with the ease with which they deceive their non-Muslim audiences. Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, a.k.a. the “Ground Zero imam”, comes to mind as a consummate master at fooling the infidel, but the “Swiss philosopher” Tariq Ramadan — now sadly incarcerated in a French prison — is no slouch, either.

Messrs. Fateh and Mamdani have an easier time of it, since they have risen to their current prominent positions as Democratic Socialists, whose secular adherents are also systematically dishonest in their dealings with the electorate. Like devout Muslims, they believe that the ends justify the means when it comes to building the socialist state. Their willingness to elide the truth, not just out of expediency but as a matter of principle, makes them like Muslims without Allah. Their paradise is an earthly one, and may or may not offer seventy-two virgins as one of its rewards, but the ideology is much the same.

Last weekend 460 patients and their associates were massacred at Saudi Maternity Hospital in el-Fasher, Sudan. This was acknowledged by the World Health Organization last Wednesday, when they reported that the RSF, the Rapid Support Forces, a Sudanese paramilitary force, in other words, terrorists, had committed the heinous act, as well as other slaughters in and around Darfur. One would think that this kind of horror would be widely reported on. When it comes to the nightly newscasts on CBS and ABC, one would be wrong.

Let’s start with the CBS Evening News. They did not mention the attack even once all week — that’s zero seconds — but they did have time for plenty of Halloween stories. On Friday evening, which was Halloween, the broadcast spent one minute on Halloween weather around the country. They ran a two minute package on “spooky” Halloween decorations, and the debate over whether or not they are too scary for children. And the best for last, a three minute segment on toilet paper being used by mischievous trick or treaters using toilet paper to ‘decorate’ homes and businesses in Heflin, Alabama, something the police are understandably not happy about. Bari Weiss, are you watching?

Over on Friday’s ABC’s “World News Tonight”, they could muster only 19 seconds of coverage of the hospital slaughter and the ongoing killings in Sudan, as anchor David Muir told his audience, “Overseas tonight a horrific scene unfolding in Sudan. Allegations of genocide in Darfur. Mass killings reported over a 72 hour period. Rebels storming a hospital this week, massacring hundreds of patients, visitors and medical staff. Reports of gunmen going door to door. Rebels claim they captured the final holdout of the Sudanese army in Darfur.” Then it was on to him promoting a Halloween story, coming up next!

The Sudan Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is a powerful paramilitary group that originated from the Janjaweed militias active during the Darfur conflict. Formed officially in 2013 under the government of Omar al-Bashir and commanded by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (known as Hemedti), the RSF gained significant power over the years. It has been accused of severe human rights abuses including war crimes, ethnic killings, sexual violence, and forced displacements, particularly against non-Arab ethnic groups in Darfur. The RSF fought alongside and against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in the ongoing civil war that began in April 2023.

President Donald Trump is set to host Syria’s self-appointed interim leader later this month for talks in Washington, marking the first ever visit by a Syrian head of state to the US capitol. Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, who once fought alongside foreign fighters while killing American soldiers in Iraq, will enjoy his red carpet reception in Washington on November 10.

This will also mark the first time a former ISIS member will be hosted in the Oval Office, an absurdity which would have been hard to believe a mere decade ago. But the US-Saudi-Israel axis reached its regime change goal in Damascus, which overthrew the secular Arab nationalist leader Bashar al-Assad, which resulted in the Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) taking over.

The US has released drone footage showing what it claims is Hamas hijacking an aid truck in southern Gaza.
The video shows a number of men appearing to move the driver from the cab of the vehicle then leaving him inert in the road’s central reservation.

It was published by the US Central Command, which has recently set up a multinational headquarters in Israel.

The incident took place while Gen Dan Caine, the US chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, was on an official visit to Israel as a guest of the IDF chief of staff.

Israel has long argued that Gaza’s hunger problems in the first half of the summer were primarily caused by Hamas’s widespread looting of the aid supply, although this was denied by the United Nations and other aid organisations.

Centcom said in a statement that its new Civil-Military Coordination Centre “observed suspected Hamas operatives looting an aid truck travelling as part of a humanitarian convoy delivering needed assistance from international partners to Gazans in northern Khan Younis”.

There is an illuminating discussion where an imam debates a Christian and the entire debate is an exercise in avoiding how a part of the Q’ran makes sense. The Muslim Apologist uses logical sounding words to avoid the Christian talking about the Q’ran but the Muslim tries to avoid logical arguments.

While I’m far from an expert on these matters, every ex-Muslim I’ve listened to has said that they were never taught critical reasoning. They were taught to memorize the Q’ran even though they had no real idea of what the Q’ran meant and then not to question anything. I find that off-putting but it has an alien appeal to many others.

My personal opinion is that Islam was deliberately created by Satan as a tool to suppress (if not destroy) God’s Chosen People, the Jews. Muslims don’t like Christians very much but they REALLY HATE Jews, for no discernible reason other than that The Recitation Says So.
