Following his conviction for incitement against an ethnic group—and the murder of his co-defendant Salwan Momika—a prominent opponent of Islam critic has fled Sweden and is now seeking asylum in America.

Salwan Najem—who carried out several high-profile Quran burnings with Momika in the summer of 2023—left Sweden during the spring and entered the United States, where he is currently detained while awaiting review of his asylum application.

The move came after a series of legal and security events that the activist says made his situation in Sweden untenable. On January 29th last year Najem’s co-defendant Salwan Momika was shot dead in his apartment in Södertälje while livestreaming on TikTok. The likely reason for Momika’s execution was his harsh and vocal criticisms of Islam.

On Thursday, January 15th, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that District Judge Michael Farbiarz of Newark, New Jersey had no jurisdiction to order the Department of Homeland Security in June last year to release Mahmoud Khalil, an Algerian-Palestinian Columbia University graduate, from custody.

The appeal court’s decision in Khalil’s case is a clear victory for the Trump administration in its efforts to deport the antisemitic pro-Palestinian activist. Khalil was detained in March 2025 and held in a Louisiana immigrant detention centre awaiting deportation after he led illegal student protests at Columbia University in support of Hamas after the October 7 massacres. As we reported, less than a year after arriving at Columbia on a student visa, Khalil was involved in illegal occupations of buildings, served as the negotiator on behalf of the occupying students with the university, pressuring the administration to accommodate student demands based on their illegal activity, and helped organize an illegal encampment on the campus that denied access to “Zionist” students.

The Thursday ruling said under the Immigration and Nationality Act, Khalil’s claims needed to be heard through an appeal of a final order of removal from an immigration judge, and the judge who had halted his deportation last summer, had no jurisdiction in the matter.

German prosecutors have decided not to bring criminal charges against a rejected asylum seeker who killed a 16-year-old girl at a train station in Friedland last summer, ruling that he was not criminally responsible at the time of the attack.

The Göttingen public prosecutor’s office said on Thursday, January 15, that the suspect, an Iraqi national whose asylum application had been rejected, was suffering from schizophrenia at the time of the incident and was therefore not legally culpable.

According to investigators, the man pushed the teenager, identified as Liana K., into the path of a freight train travelling at around 100 km/h (about 62 mph) on August 11, killing her instantly. The case drew nationwide attention, in part because the suspect was subject to a deportation order at the time.

Instead of pursuing a murder trial, prosecutors have initiated preventive detention proceedings, which could result in the suspect being placed in a secure psychiatric hospital rather than a prison. An expert assessment concluded that his mental illness rendered him not criminally liable.

Al-Qaeda’s branch in Africa’s Sahel region has been laying siege to Mali’s capital city, as well as other areas of the country. The Algerian-based Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and its affiliated Jama’a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin (Support Group for Islam and Muslims, JNIM) are cutting a wide swath of terrorist operations across West Africa’s Sahel region. This coalition of Jihadist groups now threatens the sovereignty of Mali and several other Sahelian states.

Islamist operatives now control all the main routes in and out of Bamako, Mali’s capital city, cutting it off from fuel, food, and friendly neighbors. JNIM militants have also targeted Mali’s transport, communications, educational network, and economic infrastructure in rural regions. Some towns in Mali are negotiating deals with Jihadist groups to secure some semblance of liberty and save their lives by agreeing to adopt Islamic Sharia law and pay “protection taxes” (jizyah) to Islamic officials.

Burkina Faso and Niger, two other Sahel states, landlocked like Mali, are also under severe pressure by the al-Qaeda affiliated JNIM to surrender their sovereignty to hardcore Sunni Islamic extremists. All three countries, once colonies of France’s West African Empire, have in the past five years expelled French troops who had been assisting the host governments. All three are governed by non-democratic military juntas with little popular support, and thus have been unable to deal effectively with their common Jihadist threat.

When the Zohran Mamdani campaign promised to “shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods”, there was little response and even less outrage in the media.

Had any politician campaigning to run a major city promised to punitively target any other racial group, it would have been a major national story and a future civil rights investigation.

Instead, Mamdani was allowed to go on MSNBC and try to clean up the message by claiming that it was a “description of the neighborhoods” not an “intention of where we would tax New Yorkers” and that “nothing can be worked backwards from some kind of racial goal in this city.”

A Dublin man who seemingly went on a rampage in two separate incidents in summer has pleaded guilty to eight charges, including setting fire to Conor McGregor’s pub.

Surveillance footage captured the moment Abdullah Khan set the front of the Black Forge Inn, Drimnagh Road, Dublin 12, owned by the famous UFC champion, on fire on July 25, 2025.

Days later, the court heard how he went on to wield a knife at Dublin gardai.

The 24-year-old, whose address cannot be revealed due to a court order, was arraigned on eight counts relating to the two separate incidents.

A mother is sharing her heartbreak after her husband drowned their daughter in a shallow lake in an alleged ‘honour killing’.

Sumaia al Najjar and her family sought asylum in the Netherlands, fleeing Syria in 2016. However, after eight years of peaceful living, their world was shattered when al Najjar’s daughter, Ryan, was brutally killed.

Ryan was drowned by her own father, Khaled al Najjar, accused of becoming overly westernised.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, al Najjar said: “He has destroyed my whole family.”

Two brutal attacks occurred within the space of an hour near the Termini station in central Rome on Saturday night, December 10th. The violence left two people severely injured and prompted an immediate strengthening of the security presence at the central train station, with additional soldiers and police deployed, authorities said on Sunday.

The first attack came around 10:00 p.m., just a few meters from the entrance to Termini station. A 57-year-old Italian man was reportedly surrounded and beaten by a group of attackers. Surveillance cameras captured the brutal aggression, showing seven or eight people encircling the victim and repeatedly striking him, mainly in the face, before dispersing.

The violence was so severe that the man was left lying in the street, bleeding and apparently lifeless. Emergency medical workers rushed him to hospital, where he was admitted to intensive care with extremely serious, life-threatening injuries.

Could part of what we see be the collapse of a millennial movement, one that has lasted 47 years? I hadn’t thought about it until I watched a video clip yesterday, and pieces fell into place.

Revolutionary Shia Islam of the kind preached by the various ayatollahs since 1979 has a strong eschatological bent. Shia Islam, like Christianity, has an end time with a last battle and the return of a prophet, in this case first the Hidden Twelfth Imam, then Issa bin Maryam. The pair will be at the Last Battle and the coming of the End Times, followed by paradise. One of the big differences, as best I can tell, between the older versions of Shiism and Khomeini and Khamenei version is that the older belief does not include pushing G-d into ending the world (for lack of a more graceful term). Like Christianity and Judaism, the majority of Shiites believed that the end time would come, or a Messiah-like figure would return, when the Most High willed. Not when people wanted it. And no one could or should push G-d into acting*.

I recall getting rather concerned in 2009-2011 when the then-president of Iran, Mahmud Ahmedinegad, claimed that he had spoken to the Twelfth Imam, and that the US was preventing the end of the Occultation of the Imam and the beginning of the End Times. The US State Department shrugged such words off, because they didn’t take religion seriously. The Iranian government does – it is a theocracy. If the president of Iran said he was talking to a major figure of the Second Coming and End Times, that was not good. Especially later, when whispers got around that the ayatollahs might be discussing starting the global conflict that would herald the coming of the Last Judgment, because it had not happened yet.

The process is called ‘immanentizing the eschaton’.

Their actions were just the usual antics of young Austrians — beating, kicking, robbery, breaking bones, knocking out teeth, forced kissing, that sort of thing — but the judge threw the book at them, handing down custodial sentences of up to three months. That’ll teach ’em!

At Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Oregon, tens of thousands of people crowded around a massive Douglas fir tree decked with lights. Waiting for the carnage to begin was Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a Somali ‘child’ refugee, who was dreaming of killing them all.

In 2010, Mohamud had urged a friend of his traveling to Mecca to pray “that I will be a martyr in the highest chambers of paradise.” He planned to attack Americans “in their own element with their families celebrating the holidays.” And Christmas was the perfect time of the year to do it.

While fathers lifted up their children on their shoulders and music filled the air, Mohamud was smiling for a different reason.“You know what I like, what makes me happy?” he had told undercover agents. As American families were enjoying the moment, the Somali Muslim was picturing their bodies ripped to shreds by his bomb.“You know, what I like to see? Is when I see the enemy of Allah, then you know their bodies are torn everywhere.”

Choosing a spot next to a light rail terminal, Mohamud waited for a train to arrive in order to inflict the maximum number of casualties on the families arriving at the ceremony. But instead of murdering thousands of people at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, he was arrested and dragged away while screaming, “Allahu Akbar.”

I’m sure that the resemblance to Hakim Jeffries was entirely coincidental.

In the last days of 2025, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stoked controversy by welcoming activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah to the UK after his release from prison in Egypt. Fattah has expressed extreme views, including hatred of white people and support for the killing of police and “Zionists,” including civilians. He became a UK citizen in 2021, while he was still in prison, on the basis of his mother’s UK citizenship. The right to citizenship by descent on the mother’s side for those born prior to 1983 used to be dependent on passing a “good character” test (rather than granted automatically), but this requirement was removed by the British Nationality Act 1981 (Remedial) Order 2019, due to judicial decisions made under the auspices of the UK’s Human Rights Act 1998. How, then, did human rights law come to facilitate the move to the UK of an activist whose own respect for human rights seems tenuous? To understand this, we need to look at the origins of human rights law.

Few cases encapsulate the rot at the heart of Britain quite like that of Shamima Begum. On the surface, she should have been a textbook illustration of the virtues of multiculturalism: a second-generation Bangladeshi, raised in the Muslim enclave of Tower Hamlets in East London. In reality, she embodies everything Britain has gotten wrong since Tony Blair: a thriving fifth column, greedily suckling at the ever-accommodating teat of the progressive state, nursing hatred in lieu of patriotism.

Begum is the well-documented ‘ISIS bride’ who left Britain at 15 a decade ago to join the Islamic State, married a Dutch jihadist, and—according to credible reports—was an armed enforcer for ISIS’ dreaded ‘hisba’ morality police. Sources claim that, far from a wide-eyed bystander, Begum attempted to recruit other young women to the cause, strutted around with a Kalashnikov, berated women who were improperly dressed, and allegedly sewed bombers into their suicide vests. Despite witnessing beheadings, rapes, and enslavement, Begum showed no remorse in initial interviews—describing life under ISIS as “normal” and claiming the sight of severed heads “didn’t faze me at all.” She even dismissed the Manchester Arena bombing as justifiable “retaliation”.

The Open University has been forced to back down on claims the Virgin Mary was born in “ancient Palestine” following a legal complaint.

Academics had been accused of using material which risked “erasing Jewish history” by adopting the contested term “ancient Palestine” to describe her native province.

The row broke out over the university’s use of the description in its entry-level humanities module, Discovering the Arts and Humanities, which explores the role of myths and legends in shaping religious beliefs and practices.

The course material refers to Mary as having been born in “ancient Palestine”, describes Aramaic as “a language widely spoken in ancient Palestine” and includes a map labelled “Map of ancient Palestine”.

“Palestine”, of course, didn’t exist until the Romans created it after the destruction of the Jewish state after the rebellions of the first century A.D.

I find it entertaining that the illustrations accompanying the article are all of Orthodox icons of the Theotokos rather than Latin representations of the Virgin Mary.

The Swedish Migration Board, the authority charged with deciding who may live in Sweden and under what conditions, has been described by internal sources as an organization largely staffed by personnel with a migration background who often speak their own languages and seek to prioritize those from their own country of origin to establish a greater cultural foothold in Sweden.

Swedish news outlet Samnytt spoke to long-serving employees of the organization who blew the whistle on its structural weaknesses and its inability to adhere to the agency’s requirement for neutrality on migration policy.

“Currently, the majority of the staff have a background other than Swedish. Many do not even have Swedish citizenship. And they speak their own language with their own group,” said one source who has worked within the authority for several decades and is still employed there.

The U.K. home secretary has barred a New Jersey–based Islamic scholar from entering Britain after determining that his past statements appeared to support Hamas following the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attacks on Israel, the Daily Telegraph reported this week.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood banned Dr. Shadee Elmasry, an Islamic cleric from New Jersey, prompting the cancellation of several scheduled speaking engagements in Birmingham, Bolton, and Ilford.

The U.K. home secretary serves a role similar to that of the U.S. secretary of homeland security, overseeing border control and national security matters.

British authorities cited social media posts made by Elmasry after Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, in which more than 1,200 people were killed in Israel.

Homeland Security officials said the outflow is linked to Somali immigrants and money couriers.

UK PM Keir Starmer and his Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood have announced a new program to tackle the greatest threat to women in the United Kingdom.

English schoolboys.

The new program announced by PM Starmer and Secretary Mahmood will train teachers to “spot early signs of misogyny in boys”. Boys who are flagged for misogyny will be directed to special classes on the dangers of ‘toxic masculinity’ and maleness.

Rather than deal with the real problem, the Starmer government and Home Secretary Mahmood have decided, in the words of the BBC headline, “Schoolboys to be target of UK’s violence against women strategy.” This comes even as the country is reeling after a video showed two Afghan Muslim migrant refugees dragging away a 15-year-old girl into the bushes while she pleads for help and then raping her.

But these are not the ‘schoolboys’ that Starmer and Mahmood are going to war against. So the authorities did their best to cover up the horrifying assault, falsely implying that the two Afghans were local boys and trying to suppress their identities.

“There are cultural differences,” the lawyer for one of the Afghan Muslim rapists argued. “He is not used to a society where women are free and deemed equal to men.”

GBNews reports that migrants in France have posted videos on social media, including TikTok, providing step-by-step guidance on how to cross into Britain. The ‘tutorial’ shows individuals attempting to board moving lorries, often hiding behind bushes or trees before running and jumping into the space between the driver’s cabin and the trailer.

Charities say that lorry attempts are mostly undertaken by migrants who cannot afford professional smuggling services via small boats. However, the method carries high risks. In April 2024, a Sudanese man was struck and killed while attempting to board a lorry, and in June 2024, another migrant was crushed by metal bars inside a vehicle.

Tighter security in Calais has made lorry routes less popular, with small boats remaining the main method for crossing the Channel. One video begins with an unsuccessful attempt, where the lorry is moving too fast for the individual to get on. The Arabic caption reads, “The next one will be better.”

A major controversy has erupted in France after an Islamist book openly promoting violence against homosexuals, Jews, and Christians was found to be on sale at the French retailer Fnac and can reportedly be purchased with the government-sponsored Culture Pass. The revelations have triggered strong reactions from politicians, who are calling for immediate action.

The book, titled Péchés et Guérison (‘Sins and Healing’) claims to authenticate Islamic hadiths and includes passages that explicitly justify the killing of homosexuals and promote hatred toward Jews and Christians. Excerpts cited by activist Yohan Pawer include statements such as calls to execute homosexuals by stoning them and references to religious violence against non-Muslims.

A report from Samnytt provides an unprecedented look inside Sweden’s Migration Agency, highlighting challenges related to staff composition, workplace culture, and internal practices. Sources who have worked at the agency for decades describe a complex environment shaped by linguistic groups, clan affiliations, and internal loyalties.

Currently, a majority of the agency’s approximately 6,000 employees come from non-Swedish backgrounds. Many do not hold Swedish citizenship, and staff often speak their own language within their group. According to a source, “What affects things most is that everyone speaks their own language, so you don’t understand what is being said between groups and colleagues.” This dynamic, combined with longstanding clan networks, has reportedly introduced a Middle Eastern clan mentality into daily operations.

The source described how group loyalties influence decisions on residence permits, work permits, and other administrative matters, sometimes benefiting relatives or clan members. This behavior became so normalized that it happens openly, without any fear of internal consequences. Additionally, chants and songs such as “from the river to the sea” have been heard in the agency’s break room, reflecting political or cultural affiliations among some staff.

The demographic landscape of Vienna is shifting rapidly, with a record number of newborns lacking Austrian citizenship despite being born within the country. According to recent data from Statistics Austria, 40.5 percent of babies born in the capital do not have Austrian citizenship — a figure that has doubled from 20 percent just two decades ago.

In several Viennese districts, the statistics are even more striking. In areas such as Favoriten, Ottakring, and Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, the share of non-Austrian newborns has surpassed 50 percent. While these children are born on Austrian soil, they are not legally considered citizens, according to data from Heute newspaper.

This data comes at a time when 40.9% of all of Vienna’s population is foreign-born. Over 50 percent have both parents born overseas.

Protesters smashed their way into the Bruntons Aero Products site, on an industrial estate outside Edinburgh, shortly after midnight on New Year’s Day.

The firm appeared to have been targeted because it supplies specialist parts for defence companies Leonardo and BAE Systems, both of which have been heavily criticised for their alleged links to Israel.

To have a better understanding of the meaning of political Islam, we can turn to a scholar who has taken a scientific approach to analyzing Islam. He provides five principles that describe the nature of political Islam. He explains that 51% of the doctrinal texts are about politics:

• All of Islam is based upon the Trilogy—the Koran, the Sira (Mohammed’s biography) and the Hadith (His Traditions).

• Most of the Islamic doctrine is political, not religious.

• Islam divides the world into Muslims and Kafirs (non-Muslims)

• Political Islam always has two different ways to treat Kafirs—dualistic ethics. Kafirs can be abused in the worst ways or they can be treated like a good neighbor.

• Kafirs must submit to Islam in all politics and public life. Every aspect of Kafir civilization must submit to Political Islam.

Keep in mind that he came to these conclusions by studying the doctrinal texts, making sure that his ideas were as objective as possible.

German prosecutors have filed charges against two 21-year-old Syrian men in connection with a knife attack on an American tourist aboard a tram in Dresden. Nearly four months after the incident, the Dresden public prosecutor’s office announced that the men are accused of dangerous and serious bodily harm. The Dresden Regional Court will now decide whether to admit the charges.

The attack took place during the night of August 24th on a tram near Neustädter Markt. According to investigators, the 20-year-old American victim intervened after the two suspects allegedly harassed women on the tram. Prosecutors say one of the accused initially struck the victim in the face. A short time later, the second suspect joined the assault and used a knife to inflict deep cuts to the victim’s lip, nose, and mouth.

The American suffered serious injuries and required surgery. Authorities have stated that the resulting scars are expected to remain permanently visible.

Say what you will about Benjamin Netanyahu, but he has a talent for catching audiences off guard. On 26 December, in a move almost no one anticipated, he formally recognised the Republic of Somaliland as a sovereign state. Israel is thus the first country to extend formal recognition to the fledgling nation, issued “in the spirit of the Abraham Accords” and, according to Netanyahu, at the direct behest of President Donald Trump.

Somaliland was a British protectorate from 1884 until it gained its independence in 1960 before voluntarily uniting with Somalia that same year. On 18 May 1991, following the collapse of the Somali state due to the disastrous and ultimately genocidal policies of the Siyad Barre government, Somaliland unilaterally declared independence, severed its ties with Mogadishu, and established its own system of government. For nearly three decades, Somaliland has received neither the international protection nor the large-scale aid and concessional lending extended to other embryonic postcolonial states.

Whereas many now consider Somalia a “functional failed state” plagued by warlordism, rampant corruption, prolonged tribal warfare, and sexual violence, Somaliland has emerged as a comparatively successful model of grassroots state-building. Since 1991, the aspiring state has overseen four presidential transitions through competitive elections and largely peaceful transfers of power. It has adopted a formal zero-tolerance stance toward the practice of female genital mutilation and has cultivated a private-sector-led economy sustained by diaspora remittances, domestic entrepreneurship, and relative internal stability: an unusual combination in the Horn of Africa.

Germany’s conservative Christian Social Union (CSU) has called for a sharp tightening of migration policy, including large-scale deportations of Syrians on commercial flights starting in 2026.

In a position paper released ahead of the party’s parliamentary retreat at Kloster Seeon in Bavaria, the CSU’s Bundestag group argues that the Syrian civil war has ended and that the country is now entering a reconstruction phase. As a result, the party says, the protection grounds for most Syrian migrants in Germany no longer apply.

The CSU is demanding a nationwide “deportation offensive with scheduled flights,” explicitly including returns to Syria and Afghanistan. To facilitate this, the party wants federal departure centres established across Germany and faster enforcement of removals, including against the will of those affected.

The Mayor of Antwerp, Els van Doesburg, has confirmed that federal police officers will continue to assist the Antwerp Local Police Service in securing the city’s Jewish Quarter. The announcement follows Interior Minister Bernard Quintin’s earlier plan to withdraw federal officers from the area from January 1, 2026.

Speaking on VRT Radio 1, Mayor Van Doesburg stressed the importance of the federal police presence. “Security in the Jewish Quarter is ensured by federal officers together with officers from the local police service. It is a fifty-fifty split between the federal and local police. Withdrawing the federal police officers would mean that half of the total number of officers deployed would suddenly go,” she said.

Quintin defended his initial decision, stating that the federal police assignment had always been temporary, and that soldiers would soon be able to take over these duties under a new law. Following discussions, the minister agreed to maintain the current deployment until military personnel can be assigned.

What is being euphemized is Islam. Whenever adherents of the Religion of Peace do something really, really bad in the name of their faith, their actions are not generally ascribed to Islam. Sometimes mention of Islam is even completely elided by citing “Radical Extremism” or something similar.

Extreme what? Radical what? No one knows — the noun modified by the adjective remains unmentioned. “Allahu Akhbar” is usually our only clue.

All Islam is radical—if you’re not a Muslim. All Islam is estremist—if you’re not a Muslim.

A Somali TikToker (account now defunct), first highlighted by Libs of TikTok, mocked Americans about alleged Somali-linked fraud in Minnesota and pushed dangerous rhetoric suggesting Elon Musk was “about to die.” Such statements fit a broader alarming pattern surrounding the Democratic Party’s normalization of assassination culture against Musk and President Trump supporters.

“I wouldn’t worry too much about him. He [Musk] about to die,” TikToker “dowza.z” stated in a short 30-second clip. The account has since been taken down, and it remains unclear whether the TikToker deleted the account or whether the dangerous rhetoric directed at Musk violated the platform’s terms of service.

German Twitch streamer Kunshikitty set out on New Year’s Eve to demonstrate that the streets of Cologne are safe for women, streaming live to her audience. Instead, the broadcast captured two separate attacks on camera, forcing her to end the stream in distress.

Former TSA agents are sounding the alarm on Somali men routinely flying out with suitcases crammed full of cash, undoubtedly linked to massive taxpayer-funded fraud schemes that could be funneling money to terrorist groups overseas.

A former agent from Minnesota described witnessing “Somali men flying out of Minnesota with suitcases filled with cash” amounting to “$1 billion over 5 years,” including one instance of a suitcase “filled with brand new passports.”

These groups were “always waived through,” with a clear “trail” leading back to implicated parties, the former agent claims.

Shamima Begum has had her bid to come back to Britain revived by a challenge from European judges.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has asked Britain to justify its decision to strip the 26-year-old of her citizenship in 2019 after she travelled to Syria to join Islamic State (IS).

The ECtHR intervention was hailed by Begum’s lawyers as an “unprecedented opportunity” that could pave the way for a fresh legal battle between the Strasbourg court and the Government.

The European judges have asked the Government whether it broke human rights and anti-trafficking laws by blocking her return to the UK – Begum’s key legal argument.

Begum was born and raised in Bethnal Green, east London, before travelling to Syria at the age of 15 with two other friends from school to join IS in 2015.

Mass protests have erupted across Iran calling for “death to the dictator” over the regime’s economic crisis.

Tear gas was deployed to disperse protesters as shops shut across the republic, students chanted pro-women slogans in rooftops and the Iranian rial plummeted to record lows, while Iran still faces threats from Israel and the US.

On Monday, security forces fired tear gas to disperse protesters in Tehran while residents in Malard, 28 miles east of the capital, were faced with motorcycle-mounted armed security.

In several cities, people went on to their rooftops and chanted slogans against the Islamic Republic and Ali Khamenei, its supreme leader.

The protests have been cheered on by Israel, whose foreign ministry hoping for Mr Khameni’s overthrow welcomed the action with “open arms”.

Italian prosecutors said on Saturday they had arrested nine people on suspicion of financing Hamas terrorists through charities based in Italy, in an operation coordinated by anti-mafia and anti-terrorism units.

The suspects are accused of “belonging to and having financed” the Palestinian terrorist group, which ?the European Union designates as a terrorist organization, prosecutors in ?the northern Italian city of Genoa said in a statement.

Those arrested allegedly diverted to Hamas-linked entities around 7 million euros ($8.2 ?million) raised over the last two years for ostensibly humanitarian purposes, prosecutors said. Police seized assets worth more than 8 million euros.

There’s been yet another tragic attack targeting Syria’s religious minorities by fanatical jihadists which are allied with the Syrian government of President Ahmed Sharaa.

“A bombing at a mosque located in the Syrian city of Homs during Friday prayers killed at least eight people and wounded 18 others,” authorities said, the Associated Press reports. It was an Alawite religious site that was targeted. Notably this is the same non-Sunni sect that former President Bashar al-Assad belongs to.

North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley insisted that there was ‘no evidence of political, racial or religious motivation’. “At this point it seems [no] more notable that he’s Muslim than I’m Lutheran,” he bafflingly argued. He also dismissed footage of Mohamad holding a Koran.

“I can’t discern, from the evidence that we have, any other motivation,” he claimed.

Israel became the first country to formally recognize Somaliland, a self-declared sovereign state in the Horn of Africa, in a decision that was immediately condemned by Somalia and other nations.

“The Prime Minister announced today the official recognition of the Republic of Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state,” wrote Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in a post on X. “The State of Israel plans to immediately expand its relations with the Republic of Somaliland through extensive cooperation in the fields of agriculture, health, technology, and economy.”

Somaliland’s president welcomed the announcement from Netanyahu in a post on X, adding that he affirmed the region’s “readiness to join the Abraham Accords,” the normalization agreements between Israel and a handful of Arab states that was brokered during President Donald Trump’s first term.
