My name is Bosch and I’m a recovering Muslim.
That is, if Muslims don’t kill me for leaving Islam, which it requires them to do.
I’ve been around Muslims my entire life and most of them truly don’t care about Islam. The problem I have with many of these essentially non-Muslim Muslims, especially in the middle of this war being waged on us by their more consistent co-religionists, is that they give the enemy cover. They force us to play a game of Muslim Roulette since we can’t tell which Muslim is going to blow himself up until he does. And their indifference about the evil being committed in the name of their religion is a big reason why their reputation is where it is.

Fjordman takes a break from dodging dhimmis in European governments to share some wisdom.
I have challenged Marie Simonsen, commentator in Dagbladet, to provide some concrete examples of places where Muslims have lived peacefully with their non-Muslim neighbors over longer periods of time. Personally, I don’t think any such place exists, which means that the term Islamophobia, so frequently used by her newspaper and others, is completely meaningless.
And not only meaningless, but a tendentious political tag deliberately created to divert attention from the Muslim agenda, which is set out quite clearly in the Koran.
The political scientist Øystein Hetland described me on 31 October as an extremist, among other reasons because I am very critical towards Islam, and ask what it takes to make a democratic society work. I wrote the following on Gates of Vienna on the occasion of my fifth anniversary as Fjordman: “Are Islamic teachings inherently violent? Yes. Can Islam be reformed? No. Can Islam be reconciled with our way of life? No. Is there such as thing as a moderate Islam? No. Can we continue to allow Muslims to settle in our countries? No.”
These few sentences contain all the information about Islam you will ever need. Do I regret writing this? No. One ought to tell the truth, even when it is unpleasant.

Tunisia’s secularists said their fears about an Islamist takeover were being realized on Tuesday after a senior official in the moderate Islamist party which won last month’s election invoked the revival of a caliphate, or Islamic state. Seen from Tehran, Pakistan is not a failed state, but a tremendous success.
Pakistan may be a poor country, but the Pakistani military establishment manages to protect the privileges of the officer class, which constitutes the ruling elite of Pakistan. Pakistan did experience international sanctions in the wake of its nuclear tests, but the nuclear capability has since provided Pakistan with a protective shield which makes it a beneficiary of U.S. military aid. This is despite a record of contribution to proliferation of the nuclear bomb, despite being caught harboring Osama Bin Laden, and despite U.S. Army accusations of Pakistan supporting terrorist networks killing American troops in Afghanistan.
Inspired by the Pakistani role model, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) is transforming Iran into a military dictatorship, where the IRGC is not only constitutionally tasked with “safeguarding the revolution and its achievements,” but also rules Iran. The IRGC is also aggressively pursuing a nuclear program—the “possible military dimensions” of which the International Atomic Energy Agency has expressed “serious concerns” about.

On the other hand, these are not parts for ‘assault rifles’, which are fully automatic weapons; these are for semi-automatic rifles, which are civilian sporting arms rather than military. Of course, there isn’t a lot of sport shooting going on in Lebanon, unless you include in your definition The Most Dangerous Game, so I’m sure her intent was far from innocent – these parts will work perfectly well with an M-16 receiver, which is the important part.

Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, the chairman of the National Transitional Council and de fact president, had already declared that Libyan laws in future would have Sharia, the Islamic code, as its “basic source”.
But that formulation can be interpreted in many ways – it was also the basis of Egypt’s largely secular constitution under President Hosni Mubarak, and remains so after his fall.
Mr Abdul-Jalil went further, specifically lifting immediately, by decree, one law from Col. Gaddafi’s era that he said was in conflict with Sharia – that banning polygamy.
My, what a surprise. Aren’t you surprised? I’m sure surprised.
‘Expected’ by whom? The Crust, maybe — those of us who appreciate the essence of Islam viewed it as inevitable. Every Muslim is committed BY THE NATURE OF HIS RELIGION to work for the implementation of shari’ah law. The only places where they don’t do this is where Muslims are so few on the ground that it would be a waste of time. As Britain and France and Sweden and the Netherlands and Michigan and Wisconsin are finding out, it doesn’t take a huge percentage of Muslims in the population to trigger pro-shari’ah efforts. The only country with a Muslim majority that doesn’t implement shari’ah law is Turkey, and it is rapidly heading in that direction — a ‘secular’ state with a Muslim-majority population is an unstable situation that can be held that way only through tight authoritarian oppression, and ALWAYS eventually unravels.

It take exception to Ms. Raza’s assertion that the mandate to abuse women is not in the Koran; it most emphatically is in the Koran. I quote from the most authoritative source on Sunni Islamic law, Reliance of the Traveller, Book P, “Enormities”:
p42.0 A WIFE’S REBELLING AGAINST HER HUSBAND (def: m10.12)
p42.1 Allah Most High says:
“Men are the guardians of women, since Allah has been more generous to one than the other, and because of what they (men) spend from their wealth. so righteous women will be obedient, and in absence watchful, for Allah is watchful. And if you fear their intractability, warn them, send them from bed, or hit them. But if they obey you, seek no way to blame them” (Koran 4:34).
p42.2 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:
| (1) |
|
“Allah will not look at a woman who is ungrateful to her husband, while unable to do without him.” |
| (2) |
|
“When a man calls his wife to his bed and she will not come, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels, curse her until morning.” |
| (3) |
|
“It is not lawful for a woman to fast when her husband is present, save by his leave. Nor to permit anyone into his house except with his permission.” |
| (4) |
|
“Whoever leaves her husband’s house (A: without his permission), the angels curse her until she returns or repents.” (Khalil Nahlawi:) It is a condition for the permissibility of her going out (dis: m 10.3-4) that she take no measures to enhance her beauty, and that her figure is concealed or altered to a form unlikely to draw looks from men or attract them., Allah Most High says,“Remain in your homes and do not display your beauty as women did in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance” (Koran 33.33) |
As you can see, Islamic law — mainstream Islamic law, as accepted by devout Muslims all over the world — not only permits the subjugation of women, it requires it.

The soldiers were beaten, stabbed, had their eyes gouged out, and were disemboweled. At this point, a Palestinian (later identified as Aziz Salha), appeared at the police station window, displaying his blood-stained hands to the crowd, which erupted into cheers. One of the soldier’s bodies was then thrown out the window and stamped and beaten by the enraged mob. One of the bodies was set on fire. Soon after, the mob dragged the two mutilated bodies to Al-Manara Square in the city center as the crowd began an impromptu victory celebration.

An especially busy month in the persecution of Christians in the Muslim world, September also witnessed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton release the Annual Report on International Religious Freedom. Ironically, aside from Iran and Sudan, none of the countries that habitually appear in this series were designated as “countries of particular concern,” defined by the State Department as countries that are “engaged in or tolerated particularly severe violations of religious freedom.”
Egypt, for instance—which this year alone has seen nearly 80 Christians killed, their many churches burned or bombed, and their daughters kidnapped and forcibly converted—was not listed as a “country of particular concern,” this despite the fact that the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom, an independent, bipartisan federal government commission, had recommended that the State Department designate it so.
Neither was Pakistan cited as a “country of particular concern.” According to CNS news, “Clinton did not designate Pakistan even though the State Department’s own report stated that Pakistani law calls for the death penalty for people who commit ‘blasphemy’ against Islam or who convert from Islam to another religion—and even though the report listed multiple instances of the Pakistani government using the law to persecute Christians.”

What are the consequences?
Kleine-Hartlage: The consequence is that the widespread assumption in this country under which we perceive Islam — that all religions are equal or “want the same thing” — is misleading. Let me give you an example: Islam does not generally outlaw violence, not even in a strictly moral sense. It is a legal system that he controls violence: Whether violence is acceptable or even required depends, not only in the legal, but also in the moral sense on the who, whom, why, and how. Christian culture with outright condemnation of violence tends to the elimination of private violence and is therefore dependent on the state and its monopoly on violence. Islam isn’t. On the contrary, violence has prestige value.
Why?
Kleine-Hartlage: Because the Prophet’s example, made a permanent feature in the Quran, teaches that the ability to use force a sign of divine election. Thus, the meaning of violence is similar to that of material wealth in Calvinism. Violence in Islam has a structuring function: it makes a difference between above and below, i.e. master and slave, men and women, believers and unbelievers. Islam doesn’t define peace as a universal principle.
But? After all, “Islam” means “peace”.
Kleine-Hartlage: No, “Islam” means, in friendly translation, “devotion” and less friendly, “submission”. The word is derived from the same word-root as “Salam” (peace), but it is not a synonym. The Islamic concept of society is based on the division of humanity into “believers” and “infidels” — and Islam leaves no doubt that the “infidels” sooner or later have to disappear in history. “Good” in the ethical sense, is what is good for the spread of Islam; “evil” is any opposition to it. Islam rejects the notion of a universal ethics by which all people have equal rights, no matter what religion they belong to, or peace as a matter of principle. Such views contradict not only the teachings of Islam, but its basic structure.

The basic tribal framework of “us versus them” remains in Islam. The conception “my group, right or wrong” does not exist because the question of right or wrong never comes up. Allegiance is to “my group,” period, full stop, always defined against “the other.” An overarching, universalistic, inclusive constitution is not possible. Islam is not a constant referent but rather, like every level of tribal political organization, is contingent. People act politically as Muslims only when in opposition to infidels. Among Muslims, people will mobilize on a sectarian basis, as Sunni versus Shi‘a. Among Sunni, people will mobilize as the Karim tribe versus the Mahmud tribe; within the Karim tribe, people will mobilize according to whom they find themselves in opposition to: tribal section versus tribal section; lineage versus lineage, and so on.
The structural fissiparousness of the tribal order makes societal cohesion difficult. Affiliation places people and groups in opposition to one another. There is no universal reference that can include all parties. Oppositionalism then becomes the cultural imperative. While the tribal system based on balanced opposition effectively supports decentralized nomads, it inhibits societal integration and precludes civil peace based on settlement of disputes through legal judgment at the local level.
Reminder for the ignorant: Islam is an oppressive totalitarian ideology, under the guise of a religion, with which no co-existence is possible.

Short answer ? Islam has “unhappy ending” written all over it.
Tragically, for Islam there is no possibility of a happy ending. It has often been said that the only peace which Islam ? famously known as “The Religion of Peace” ? offers anyone is the peace of the grave. Pakistan ? which means “land of the pure” ?provides the best evidence of this in that it is a prototypical Islamic nation intended to mirror the everyday rule of shari’a law. That country’s horrific level of almost daily slaughter and mayhem clearly demonstrates how ? even if Islam were to attain global ascendancy ? the violence and terrorism would never stop.
The Islamic concept of takfir (“impure”), literally assures this in that a more devout Muslim is religiously sanctioned for killing a less pure Muslim. This lack of purity could be interpreted as someone who does not pray all five times a day or consumes food during daylight hours over the course of Ramadan. The possible paths descending into Islamic “impurity” are as numerous as they are varied and it is an ironclad guarantee that Islam will always be torn by internecine violence.

Cases dealing with apostasy in Islam—whereby Muslims who convert to other religions are tortured and executed—are on the rise and need to be acknowledged for what they are: one of Islam’s most visible attempts to suppress the human conscience—a phenomenon that has dire implications beyond religious freedom.
As for the Uganda anecdote, Susan’s father actually opted to follow the most lenient form of punishment allowed for apostasy: while Islam’s three Sunni schools of law condemn the apostate to death, the Hanafi School “progressively” advocates beating and imprisoning females until they see the “error of their ways” and return to Islam.
Likewise, though Susan’s father was arrested, he was “quickly released,” doubtless because the authorities recognized that he was only upholding Islam.
To all the relativists out there, they have but one question to ask themselves: where is the other religion that kills defectors? There are none; only gangs, not religions, exhibit such a “mafia” mentality—hence the argument that Islam is more a political system than a religion.

A group of American military officers and Afghan officials had just finished a five-hour meeting with their Pakistani hosts in a village schoolhouse settling a border dispute when they were ambushed — by the Pakistanis.
An American major was killed and three American officers were wounded, along with their Afghan interpreter, in what fresh accounts from the Afghan and American officers who were there reveal was a complex, calculated assault by a nominal ally. The Pakistanis opened fire on the Americans, who returned fire before escaping in a blood-soaked Black Hawk helicopter.
The attack, in Teri Mangal on May 14, 2007, was kept quiet by Washington, which for much of a decade has seemed to play down or ignore signals that Pakistan would pursue its own interests, or even sometimes behave as an enemy.
‘Sometimes’?
