Under the Biden-Harris regime, and with backing from rogue sanctuary states, thousands—if not tens of thousands—of non-English-speaking migrants have been granted non-domiciled Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs), a decision now under intense scrutiny following a series of deadly crashes involving 80,000-pound big rigs, including a horrific incident in Austin, Texas, that left five Americans dead.
On Friday, the US Department of Transportation (DoT) released a statement about DoT Sec. Duffy is preparing to launch a nationwide audit into states issuing non-domiciled CDLs, more specifically examining the potential for unqualified individuals obtaining these licenses to operate big rigs on America’s highways.
“This action responds directly to a key directive from President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order on Enforcing Commonsense Rules of the Road for America’s Truck Drivers and is part of Secretary Duffy’s commitment to safety,” a statement read from DoT.
DoT Sec. Duffy stated, “The open borders policies of the last administration allowed millions to flood our country – leading to serious allegations that the trucking licensing system is being exploited.”
Oh, ya think?

It comes as little surprise that yet another grandiose techno-utopian vision has ended not with a triumphant march toward Net Zero, but with a flick of the off-switch. Last week, Britain’s energy secretary quietly announced that the government “has pulled the plug on a £24 billion plan to bring Moroccan wind and solar power to Britain via the world’s longest subsea electricity cable, citing concerns over security and costs” .
In other words, after years of hype, headline-grabbing simulations and talk of “reliable clean power for 19 hours a day,” the reality of risk and expense finally intruded – and the dream of Sahara sun for all has been consigned to the scrapheap.

Zohran Mamdani’s lead in first choices in New York City’s ranked-choice mayoral primary, and his inevitable victory when second, third, fourth, and fifth choices of trailing candidates are allocated to candidates voters ranked lower, mean that he’ll be the Democrat nominee for mayor of the nation’s largest city and the likely winner of the general election in November.
Mamdani, 33, is a three-term state assemblyman who calls himself a democratic socialist. He has backed a rent freeze, city-run grocery stores, free buses, putting homeless service centers in the subways, a $30 minimum wage, defunding the police, and replacing police with “community safety” officers.
His tweeting history includes: “NYPD is racist, anti-queer & a major threat to public safety. What we need is to #DefundTheNYPD,” “Queer liberation means defund the police,” and “Defunding the police is a feminist issue.”

ACLU, Servant of Fashionable Victims Everywhere and especially Where White People Live.
Immigrants rights’ advocates today filed a new nationwide class-action lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s executive order restricting birthright citizenship. The lawsuit is in response to today’s Supreme Court ruling that potentially opens the door for partial enforcement of the executive order.
This new case was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU of New Hampshire, ACLU of Maine, ACLU of Massachusetts, Legal Defense Fund, Asian Law Caucus, and Democracy Defenders Fund on behalf of a proposed class of babies subject to the executive order, and their parents.
The same group of organizations filed a similar suit in January 2025 in the same court, on behalf of groups with members whose babies born on U.S. soil will be denied citizenship under the order, including New Hampshire Indonesian Community Support, League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), and Make the Road New York. The court issued a ruling protecting members of those organizations, and that case is pending at the First Circuit Court of Appeals, with oral argument set for August 1.

“Hey, if you’re going to shoot yourselves in the groin with this climate-change scam, we’ll be happy to load your gun.”
A new op-ed from oil services CEO Dan Eberhart in Forbes makes the case that climate change litigation is a growing threat to U.S. energy – and that the U.S. could fall behind China as a result.
He notes that Senator Ted Cruz has repeatedly voiced concern that American energy security is under threat—not from foreign armies or economic collapse, but from a coordinated legal campaign masquerading as environmental activism. This week, Cruz’s Judiciary oversight subcommittee is convening a hearing to dig into what he believes is a coordinated effort between China and the U.S. climate litigation movement aimed at undercutting U.S. energy dominance.
According to Eberhart’s piece in Forbes, the wave of climate lawsuits, particularly those brought by firms like Sher Edling, are supported by a network of well-funded foundations and advocacy organizations. These entities, he argues, may be unintentionally serving the strategic goals of America’s geopolitical adversaries—especially China—by hampering domestic fossil fuel production and increasing reliance on foreign-controlled clean energy supply chains.

It is said that people get more right-wing as they grow older. A quicker way to achieve this appears to be having a large number of asylum seekers housed nearby.
Almost three-quarters of voters in Kreuzberg—described as one of Germany’s most liberal districts—backed the three major left-wing (pro-migration) parties in the last federal election. The more right-wing parties did not achieve double-digit support.
But now that plans are underway for almost 1,000 refugees—likely from Ukraine, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Syria—to be housed in a nearby shelter, currently being renovated, an anti-migration sentiment has begun to stir.
An online survey of residents on the development has received more clicks than any other local issue in recent weeks, according to German daily Berliner Zeitung. Sixty-eight locals said they view the refugee shelter with “concern and fear,” and 28 “expressed anger about the plan.” Thirty-nine said they were “looking forward to new people and movement in the neighborhood.”
Border Gaps and “Lies”—All Quiet on the German Migration Front
District officials have also spoken up, pointing to already overburdened infrastructure in the neighbourhood as well as pre-existing crime rates—especially given that the shelter is supposed to be occupied in part by unaccompanied minors.
A woman who has lived in the area for more than two decades is likewise reported to have said:
We already have enough crime here.

New York is still tallying the votes, for sure. But a 33-year-old state lawmaker who became an avatar for the political movement led by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is leading in the race for Mayor of New York City. The significance of an apparent Zohran Mamdani victory over former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is a seismic moment that signals how much of an insurgent posture Democrats are in at the moment. As party leaders fret about whether Kamala Harris lost for being seen as too “woke” on various issues, the coastal deep-blue enclaves are completely disconnected from that conversation, and the party’s dreadful standing on the national stage.

Britain is on track to lose a record 16,500 millionaires this year as tax increases and falling economic confidence drive wealthy residents abroad.
The exodus is part of a “historic wave of wealth migration”, with multiple countries competing for talent and capital, according to the latest Henley Private Wealth Migration Report. It says that a record 142,000 millionaires across the globe will relocate to a new country this year.
The study, which analyses migration trends among people with liquid assets of more than $1 million (£740,000), predicts that the UK will lose twice as many high net worth individuals as China and ten times as many as Russia in 2025.

A hospital trust at the centre of a row over transwomen sharing female changing rooms has come under fire for producing a Pride calendar celebrating “polyamory” and “pansexuality”.
County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is being sued by eight nurses who claim that a policy allowing transwomen to use single-sex changing rooms puts women at risk.
The nurses claimed that a biological male colleague identifying as a woman called Rose stared at their breasts as they were getting undressed and lingered too long in the changing room.
NHS England intervened, urging Darlington Memorial Hospital, where the nurses are based, to act “with speed” to provide male, female and gender-neutral changing rooms.

A British Broadcasting Corporation newsreader made an on-air correction to “pro-trans” language during a TV news report on Sunday, June 22nd. Faced with a culturally ‘sensitive’ but scientifically illiterate teleprompter script, Martine Croxhall added a quick correction of her own.
As part of coverage of a rare British heatwave, the BBC news autocue was prepared to deliver this statement
London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine has released research which says that nearly 600 heat-related deaths are expected in the UK…. Malcom Mistry, who was involved in the research, says that the aged, pregnant people and those with pre-existing health conditions need to take precautions.
Croxhall went off-script to add the correct word ‘women’ as a follow-up to ‘pregnant people’, earning the praise of ‘gender-critical’ Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, among others. Commentator Brendan O’Neill welcomed what he called the “BBC video that exposed our cowardly elite,” stating that the “memory-holing of the word ‘woman’ to appease the trans lobby is an outrage.”
In line with much of the British establishment, the national broadcaster seems preoccupied with the trans lobby, reflected in programming content, including news and current affairs. This is what makes Croxhall’s small act of rebellion, delivered to camera in a knowing voice, so welcome.
The worm turns.

NGOs and connected insiders have made a small fortune on “green” initiatives. As dam removal projects fail to deliver on the restorative promises of west coast governors, devastated agricultural communities are beginning to follow the green trail and ask, “Cui bono?”
The video, criticizing the removal of four dams along the Klamath River—the largest such project in U.S. history—addresses how an “ungodly amount” of sediment unleashed decimated fish habitats, and a rural agricultural economy while undermining the stated goal of restoring the river’s ecosystem.
Siskiyou County, California resident and farmer, Theodora Johnson, accuses environmental NGOs like American Rivers and government entities of hypocrisy, after decades of shutting down timber and mining operations due to fears of sediment release. Johnson argues that regulations, intended to protect fish and wildlife, destroyed rural economies, while releasing an estimated 16.8 million tons of sediment, silt, clay, and heavy metals such as aluminum, chromium, and lead—killing off fish populations for decades to come.

A series of changes to long-running federal student loan programs tucked into the Republican tax plan has doctors panicked and struggling to find GOP allies.
The Senate education committee’s portion of President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful” bill includes a new cap on how much people can borrow for medical school and other professional programs that is well below the sticker price most students are facing. Lawmakers are also proposing to nix a class of federal loans graduate students use to cover housing and other non-tuition expenses.
For low-income and first-generation college students with aspirations of becoming physicians, these plans, if enacted, could squash their dreams, according to medical college leaders. As the full Senate irons out the bill and Trump rattles school finances with funding freezes, doctors’ groups are asking Congress to preserve the more generous loan options or risk a sharp drop in who’s studying medicine — a profession that’s already facing a shortage.
I don’t see in the Constitution where it’s the government’sz–or the taxpayers’– responsibility to pay for the dreams of low-income or first-generation college students wanting to go to med school. If they can’t pay, they can’t have; same as with buying a Bugatti. The reason med school is so expensive is that they jacked the prices up, knowing that the government (i.e. the taxpayers) foot the bill. Without that subsidy, the prices with either come down or they’ll be whistling for students. We are facing a shortage of doctors because (a) the price of med school is too high, and (b) the government and the medical profession put all sorts of road-blocks in the way of building more medical schools.

Four years ago, America was on the cusp of the largest expansion of its welfare state since the 1960s.
Under Joe Biden in 2021, House Democrats passed legislation that would have established a monthly child allowance for most families, an expansion of Medicaid’s elder care services, federal child care subsidies, universal prekindergarten, and a paid family leave program, among other new social benefits.
But that bill failed — and then, so did Biden’s presidency.
Now, Republicans are on the brink of enacting the largest cut to public health insurance in American history. And the outlook for future expansions of the safety net looks dimmer than at any time in recent memory.

I am undoubtedly lacking in imagination, but the trans campaign seems to me the final frontier of the left’s war on nature. It is akin to the axioms of the Party in 1984: War Is Peace. Freedom Is Slavery. Ignorance Is Strength. To these we can add: Men Can Be Women. Women Can Be Men. It’s Your Call. As in 1984, the whole point is to shove it down our throats and demand our silence.
The left is relentless. The Tennessee case was a weak front on which to pick a fight. They will be back for more, sooner rather than later.

The think tank’s analysis of Reeves’s Spending Review estimates that by the end of financial year 2028–29, the health service will account for half (49 percent) of all day-to-day public services spending, up from 34 percent in 2009–10.
On Wednesday, the chancellor announced a record £29 billion funding injection, which the Treasury said will deliver on the government’s promise to cut waiting lists, improve patient care, and modernise services.
Resolution Foundation Chief Executive Ruth Curtice said in a statement, “Health accounted for 90 per cent of the extra public service spending, continuing a trend that is seeing the British state morph into a National Health State, with half of public service spending set to be on health by the end of the decade.”
The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) noted in its initial response to the Spending Review that the funding increase for the NHS was substantial, but questioned whether it will be enough to get the health service back to meeting its 18-week target for hospital waiting times within this Parliament, something which the think tank said was “enormously ambitious.”
The demand for health care, and the funding to pay for it when it is provided by the government, is bottomless. The NHS was a socialist pipe-dream from the beginning, and will eventually destroy British society.

These NGOs, operating with logistical sophistication, have aimed to undermine societal cohesion and erode public trust in the Trump administration.
On Saturday, a coordinated series of demonstrations unfolded across major metropolitan areas, including New York, Denver, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles. The protests—supported by a network of nearly 200 entities, many of which include ideologically aligned and far-left NGOs—appear to follow a highly structured mobilization effort reminiscent of prior failed “Tesla Takedown” operations observed earlier this year.

The conflict surrounding the Trump Administration’s deportation of illegal aliens is driven by a complex web of NGOs and astroturf activist groups, but Democrat politicians continue to play a considerable role in fomenting civil unrest. State leaders were a key element of the BLM riots in 2020, providing a governmental green light for the mobs by exempting them from covid mandates. City officials ensured that rioters and looters were released without charges, cycling them back out onto the streets to wreak havoc day after day. Other Democrat leaders hobbled local law enforcement and prevented them from intervening in the riots.
The pattern seems to be repeating, with Democrats doubling down on their defense of illegal immigration and interfering in ICE operations. The law, once again, is only important to progressives when it works in their favor. When it doesn’t, they ignore it.
This week multiple Democrat governors defended their sanctuary state policies in a hearing on illegal immigration on Capitol Hill. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul testified at the hearing, asserting that the immigration issue was being overblown by the Trump Administration and diminishing concerns over violent migrant crimes.
Tim Walz argued that Trump was using the DHS as his personal “gestapo” and Kathy Hochul called deportations an “assault on American values”.

California has long prided itself on being a symbol of progressive governance, a supposed beacon of tolerance, opportunity, and inclusivity. But behind the glittering curtain of Hollywood dreams and Silicon Valley innovation lies a troubling reality—a self-inflicted crisis stemming from policies that defy economic logic and common sense. As California grapples with an unprecedented immigration surge, ballooning homelessness, and mass exodus of residents and businesses, the question arises: Should the federal government intervene?
The answer is unequivocally no. In fact, the federal government—particularly under President Donald Trump—should stand back and allow California to confront the consequences of its own ideological delusions.
Between July 2021 and July 2022, approximately 400,000 residents left California. The state, once a magnet for dreamers, is now hemorrhaging taxpayers and employers. Major corporations such as Tesla, Oracle, and Chevron have relocated to more business-friendly states like Texas and Florida. The exodus is not coincidental—it is a direct reaction to California’s punitive tax structure, suffocating regulations, and increasingly chaotic public order.

If you thought that the leftist delusions of grandeur had finally hit their peak you are about to be unpleasantly surprised. There are no limits to the insanity that progressives will embrace in their pursuit of power, and they continue to adhere to the fantasy that they are the “good guys” despite the fact that most of the world has been telling them for the past several years that their ideology is repugnant.
The events in Los Angeles are just the beginning and the path this situation will take is relatively predictable. There is a large enough percentage of the US population (around 25% to 30%) that is inexorably rooted in the ideologies of Marxism and multiculturalism. Many of them might not even understand what they’re supporting, but they’ll still do what they’re told by their gatekeepers.
For decades now the progressives have treated America like an experiment in social engineering; the US has been their personal multicultural playground. What has them enraged today is the fact that they are hitting a wall of opposition. They aren’t used to being told “No” and the only way they know how to respond is by lashing out.

President Donald Trump and his administration are not listening to Democrats who continue to downplay the violence. The Department of Homeland Security has released the names and photos of the “worst of the worst” illegal alien criminals arrested during the LA riots. All criminal information is from the DHS unless otherwise noted.

It will be remembered as the greatest mass delusion in the history of the world – that CO2, the life of plants, was considered for a time to be a deadly poison. –Harvard Emeritus Professor Richard Lindzen
When the story of the great turn-of-the-millennium climate science fraud comes to be written by future historians, the central role of the RCP8.5 ‘business as usual’ model scenario as adopted by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will be obvious to all. This ‘pathway’ has polluted climate model predictions for years with its wild and improbable claims of carbon dioxide emissions and soaring temperatures. A huge number of science papers incorporating the pathway are published by obvious Net Zero activists, and their ‘scientists say’ climate psychosis-inducing fairy tales are sped on their way by blinkered journalists in the mainstream press. The science writer Roger Pielke Jr. notes that RCP8.5 has been “falsified” – most knew it was fake, historians are likely to conclude, but the Net Zero addiction was too strong for it to be given up.
By “falsified”, Dr Pielke explains in a recent Substack article, he means that the pathway’s emissions trajectory is already well out of step with reality. To prove his point he offers up the 2021 evidence contained in Burgess et al. highlighted in the graph below.

California jails failed to honor more than 13,000 ICE detainers over 2½ years, significantly affecting enforcement of federal immigration law and public safety, according to newly released Immigration and Customs Enforcement records, Breitbart reported.
New records show that Golden State jails did not comply with over 13,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer requests between October 2022 and February 2025. The documents, reviewed by the Center for Immigration Studies, highlight California as the state most frequently refusing to cooperate with federal immigration officials.
An ICE detainer asks local or state law enforcement to hold those under arrest for up to 48 hours after their scheduled release, allowing ICE to take custody for potential deportation. CIS said, “More than half of the declined detainers (52%) were refused by jails and prisons in California.”

New numbers from the California Department of Education show a continued drop in public school enrollment in the 2024–2025 school year. Despite fewer students, TK-12 education spending continues to increase, begging the question of whether taxpayers are getting value for money.
The 5.8 million students counted for the just-concluded school year represents a reduction of 31,000 from 2023–2024 and 380,000 (or 6 percent) from before the pandemic. But the drop in traditional public school enrollment is even worse than these headline numbers suggest. The totals include charter schools which added 75,000 students since the 2018–19 school year.
Netting out charters yields an enrollment drop of 8 percent, and this is despite the fact that a new grade, Transitional Kindergarten, was added during the period.
People are pulling their kids out of California public schools because they realize that their kids are getting indoctrinated in Woke ideology rather than actually educated. California would be a great place if it weren’t for the Californians.

A former director of a Massachusetts migrant shelter is blowing the whistle on the disastrous situation wrought by the state’s sanctuary policies for illegal immigrants under Democrat Gov. Maura Healey, combined with the Biden administration’s open-border policies.
Jon Fetherston, who managed a hotel-turned-migrant shelter in Marlborough, Massachusetts, from November 2023 to July 2024, urged Attorney General Pam Bondi in a letter Monday to investigate Healey’s migrant shelter program, calling it “dangerous and corrupt,” Blaze News reported Tuesday. Fetherston added there is “a disturbing pattern of criminal activity, sexual assaults, financial abuse, and the widespread use of no-bid contracts.”
Fetherston shared the letter he wrote to Bondi on his X account. Among the most concerning failures he observed was rampant criminal activity within the shelters, which posed threats to residents and the nearby community.

Wine and spirits distributor Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is leaving the California market.
RNDC cited increasing costs and changes among suppliers as one of the reasons it has decided to stop operating in the state.
“This decision follows years of increasing costs, industry headwinds, and supplier shifts that have made it difficult to operate sustainably in the state,” its leadership said in an emailed statement to its customers on June 4. “We are incredibly proud of our California team and all of their hard work over the years. Please know that our commitment to you during this transition remains unwavering.”

Members of Britain’s largest teaching union hosted an event where teachers were told that there is no legal definition for biological sex.
The claims were made at an online seminar held last month by the trans and non-binary network of National Education Union (NEU) members to advise non-trans “allies” how to support transgender rights.
The event, entitled “Solidarity in Practice: Building Sustainable and Effective Cisgender Allyship”, attracted more than 150 people including teachers and other trade union members.
British unions have embraced insanity.
