33-year-old James McIntyre figured he could convince lawmakers that men aren’t a danger to women’s bathrooms by…violently assaulting a woman.

When the TV system is run by the government (UK residents are obliged to buy a license to watch TV), you can do that.

Under measures unveiled on Tuesday, ads showing “less healthy” food and drinks will only be allowed to be aired after the 9:00 pm watershed from October next year.

According to the National Health Service, obesity is rising among British kids with one in 10 four-year-olds now considered to be obese. And one in five five-year-olds suffers from tooth decay from eating too much sugar.

Also included on the government’s list — which uses a scoring system based on each item’s sugar, fat and salt content — are pre-packaged popular sugary breakfast foods such as croissants, pancakes and waffles.

In the past, progressive elites were not generally threatened by the campaigns of the old center and center-right parties because those groups have long been managed by fake conservatives with no intention of disturbing the deviation of the Overton Window to the radical left. But of course, times have changed. Legitimate opposition to the far-left is rising in the form of political parties fighting for secure borders and anti-wokeness initiatives, and the progressives are furious.

They’ve had a taste of near total power, and though they claim to be the patron saints of Democracy they are openly adopting authoritarian ideals in order to keep that power.

In the US the far-left has been pursuing an all out propaganda war and has abused the legal system for years as a means to stop conservatives from returning to government. The lawfare tactics utilized against Donald Trump were unprecedented, but ultimately failed. In Europe, though, leftists are finding more success.

As the Democrat party becomes ever more radically left-wing, I often wonder how they get half the population to vote for them. I mean, not everybody is a lesbian sociology professor at Amherst. How do anti-American radicals maintain the support of people who are neither stupid nor communists?

Another interesting feature of the modern Democrat party is how it presents its radical agenda. Thirty years ago, Democrats spoke mostly in euphemisms, avoiding clear explanations of their goals. Now that their goals are widely understood to be destructive and crazy, they have to be even more careful about discussions of specific policies. They avoid those discussions if possible, of course. For example, Kamala Harris really never clearly explained what she intended to do if she were to be elected president. She wanted to get elected, so she couldn’t, obviously.

But what if you work for the Democrat party? What if your job is to explain to American citizens what Democrat policies are, and why they are superior to the Republicans? What if it’s up to you to explain away the catastrophes which result from Democrat policies, and distract attention away from the successes of Republican parties? I refer, of course, to journalists. What if you are a journalist?

It’s easy for Kamala to refuse interviews. But if you write for The New York Times, you do have to say SOMETHING. And everything you say has to present Democrats in a positive light, and it has to make at least some sense.

Just a few weeks before a poorly-publicized Jan. 1 deadline, a judge has issued a nationwide injunction barring the enforcement of a controversial mandate that would compel tens of millions of small and large businesses to file beneficial ownership reports with an obscure federal agency. The ruling doesn’t kill the requirement altogether, but it does bar the Treasury Department from enforcing it until lawsuits challenging the requirement’s constitutionality are fully resolved.

“There are now CTA cases pending in the Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits,” notes attorney and Forbes contributor Kelly Phillips Erb, posting as @taxgirl on X. “It’s looking more like it could end up at the Supreme Court.” There’s also the possibility that the next Trump administration — either unilaterally or via cooperation with Congress — could find a way to kill or at least narrow the requirement.

The rule imposed by the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) swept the vast majority of “legal entities created to do business in the United States” into a new bureaucratic net, directing them to dump information about themselves and their “beneficial owners” into a federal database managed by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) — which most Main Street businesses and single-member LLC’s have probably never even heard of. Those who failed to comply faced severe penalties, ranging from civil fines of up to $591 a day to criminal consequences of up to $250,000 and a five-year prison term.

State Attorney General Rob Bonta requested Dec. 4 that Californians report to his office any violations of state laws that limit state institutions, agencies, and local law enforcement’s ability to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement actions.

Senate Bill 54—passed in 2017 and known as the California Values Act—blocks state and local agencies from using resources to assist immigration enforcement by arresting, detaining, detecting, interrogating, or investigating individuals suspected of entering the country illegally.

The appeal came in an announcement that courts, health care facilities, libraries, and other public institutions in California were advised to craft policies meant to make it more difficult for federal law enforcement authorities to deport illegal immigrants.

Perhaps they don’t remember what happened the last time a state tried to nullify Federal law.

A House task force probing the attempted assassination in July of Donald Trump held a final hearing Thursday that contained some fireworks, promises to improve, and unanswered questions.

Ronald L. Rowe Jr., acting director of the Secret Service, was the only witness to appear before the task force, which includes eight Republicans and six Democrats. Rowe replaced Kimberly Cheatle, who resigned after the first assassination attempt against Trump on July 13 at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The panel, formally called the House Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump, focused primarily on the attempt on Trump’s life in Pennsylvania. A second assassination attempt occurred Sept. 15 at the former president’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

After the hearing, the panel voted unanimously to make its final report available to the full House. It wasn’t expected to be made public immediately, however.

God forbid ordinary taxpayers should be allowed to read it.

The University of Michigan has eliminated diversity statements from its hiring, promotion, and tenure processes, Provost Laurie McCauley announced Thursday morning. The decision comes hours before the board of regents is expected to weigh changes to the university’s bloated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program, a consideration that has spurred protests and intense debate on campus.

The University of Michigan has one of the most aggressive DEI programs in higher education. A New York Times Magazine investigation published in October found that the university’s efforts have cost more than a quarter-billion dollars over a 10-year period. More than half of that was spent on salaries and benefits for DEI staff.

“Diversity, equity and inclusion are three of our core values at the university. Our collective efforts in this area have produced important strides in opening opportunities for all people,” McCauley wrote in a statement Thursday. “As we pursue this challenging and complex work, we will continuously refine our approach.”

The provost’s decision follows an eight-member faculty working group’s Oct. 31 recommendation to end the statements, arguing that they limit free expression and diversity of thought.

Discussing Donald Trump’s election victory with a panel of TV pundits, Princeton professor Eddie Glaude explained it with reference to race. “There’s this sense,” he said, “that whiteness is under threat.” He went on to elaborate, if not elucidate, what he meant by this. “All these demographic shifts,” he said, “all these racially ambiguous children on Cheerios boxes.” They are “confusing the hell out of” white people, and these white people, confused by children’s faces on Cheerios boxes, and threatened by this confusion, reacted against this “sense” of threat by voting for Trump. Glaude gave no evidence of white people confused by children’s faces, or of the feelings of threat these young faces were supposedly causing.

You’d think this professor would feel an even greater need to ground his claim in real evidence this election year, given that Trump did better with black and Latino and other non-white voters than any Republican presidential candidate in recent memory. But apparently not. When another panelist suggested that inflation better explained why Trump was elected, Professor Glaude was both derisive and adamant. The idea that Trump won because of inflation — historically a cause of trouble for incumbent parties — was nuts. The scientifically obvious answer was whiteness, threatened as it is these days by racially ambiguous children on Cheerios boxes.

Glaude’s claim seemed both obviously wrong and symptomatic of the extreme insularity of progressive elites, who talk in abstractions like “whiteness” as they consult each other, even as those abstractions look like delusions to the less sophisticated people who merely consult things in the real world. He aired his apparent delusion for these regular people, who mocked and scorned him on social media.

n March that some schools in the chronically dysfunctional, poorly performing public system needed to close. So it paid a Stanford University professor $30,000 to create an “equity-centered” formula that would determine which ones would shutter.

After the results were announced in October, parents revolted, the school superintendent was forced to resign, and the closure plan was shelved indefinitely. Two weeks later, city voters ousted their embattled mayor, London Breed. Now, as the school district tries to rebuild under new leadership, the Stanford professor’s DEI-focused closure plan is coming under increasingly harsh scrutiny, especially from San Francisco’s Asian community. Asian parents are enraged that the closure plan targeted a high-performing elementary school whose students are overwhelmingly low-income and Asian.

The now-paused closure plan, parents argue, used a custom formula that rewarded poor-performing black and Hispanic schools and targeted low-income, high-performing Asian children for cutbacks.

The far flung nation of Australia and its close neighbor New Zealand were widely considered two of the worst examples of authoritarian western response to the covid pandemic. The Australian public was locked down and under house arrest in the larger cities. In some cases only one person would be allowed to leave home at a time and could only travel a short distance to shop for necessities. People who went to public parks or beaches were fined or arrested. Covid camps were created to detain not only people who had traveled overseas, but also people who simply tested positive.

Most disturbing of all, Australian officials had people arrested who dared to criticize the lockdowns on social media. Australian news organizations widely defended such measures in lockstep with the government narrative. With the exception of a few minor complaints, journalists from the land down under acted as propagandists for the government and for Big Pharma.

It was these Orwellian conditions and similar attempts across the west that led to many personalities in the alternative media to speak out and become decidedly anti-establishment. One of those figures was podcaster Joe Rogan.

In an X post, the US firearms manufacturer Smith & Wesson described how it was “suspended indefinitely” from Facebook over the social media platform’s “ever-changing community guidelines on firearms.”

“Despite our extensive efforts and resources spent on trying to adhere to Facebook’s ever-changing community guidelines on firearms, our account was suspended indefinitely on Friday, November 22nd, 15 years after its original creation,” Smith & Wesson wrote days ago.

Smith & Wesson thanked Elon Musk and X for upholding “free speech and the right to bear arms” in an era of constant attack by the Biden-Harris regime and their anti-gunner billionaire friends who fund a network of radicalized non-profits with one goal: undermine the Second Amendment.

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R., N.C.), the chairwoman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, unveiled a bipartisan bill that would prohibit federal aid from flowing to universities that boycott Israel.

Foxx unveiled the measure, the “Protect Economic Freedom Act,” alongside Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D., N.J.) on Tuesday. It would amend the Higher Education Act to bar universities that engage in the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement from receiving federal student aid. Under the legislation, universities must submit annual certifications to the Department of Education, showing they are not engaged in a commercial boycott of Israel.

“Enough is enough. Appeasing the antisemitic mobs on college campuses threatens the safety of Jewish students and faculty, and it undermines the relationship between the U.S. and one of our strongest allies,” Foxx said in a statement. “If an institution is going to capitulate to the BDS movement, there will be consequences—starting with the Protect Economic Freedom Act.”

As soon as President-elect Donald Trump had nominated Fox News host Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense, the legacy media unleashed a torrent of breathless stories about Hegseth’s “extremism” because he displays tattoos of the Jerusalem Cross and “Deus vult,” a Latin phrase associated with the Crusades.

The Associated Press reported that a fellow service member had flagged Hegseth as a possible “Insider Threat” due to “a tattoo on his bicep that’s associated with white supremacist groups.”

But are the tattoos really associated with white supremacists, or is that just what far-Left activists want you to think?

Platform Bluesky is attempting to cater to its most anti-free speech users, claiming it will increase censorship to “max capacity,” but apparently it can’t crush speech fast enough to satisfy its user base. Many leftists, especially after the 2024 election turned into a landslide victory for Republicans, lashed out at President-elect Donald Trump’s ally and X owner Elon Musk, leaving X behind.

Many chose to create accounts on Bluesky instead, and the platform soon announced that its censors couldn’t handle the deluge of censorship demands, though it plans to keep trying. The platform even encouraged users to report content for censorship.

On Nov. 15, Bluesky Safety, the platform’s censorship team, posted, “Bluesky has grown by over 3M people in the last week — welcome! With every wave of growth naturally comes an increase in moderation reports. Here’s a status report on how the Trust & Safety team is handling it[.]” The account then acknowledged the massive flood of censorship requests and promised to “dial” its censorship group up to “max capacity.”

Perhaps they’ll get it out of their systems and leave Twitter and Facebook alone.

In a decision which was expected and has long been previewed in international reports, the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant over the war in Gaza.

Three judges of the ICC’s “Pre-Trial Chamber I” issued the warrants unanimously, accusing the Israeli leaders of crimes against humanity. They wrote: “The chamber considered that there are reasonable grounds to believe that both individuals intentionally and knowingly deprived the civilian population in Gaza of objects indispensable to their survival, including food, water, and medicine and medical supplies, as well as fuel and electricity.”

I see no ‘international arrest warrants’ issued for the Hamas leaders who orchestrated the Oct. 7 attacks. I wonder why.

It’s yet another reminder of the dark days of pre-Musk Twitter when social media was completely dominated by blue-check Karens and a vast army of San Francisco-based moderators. In the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory which was helped in large part by Elon Musk, high profile celebrities along with washed up has-beens are announcing their great exodus from X.

Destination? Bluesky, a social media platform which is trying to recreate the progressive cancel culture hellscape of 2020 Twitter. It was created by former longtime Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who later left the organization. The company recently reported an increase of 3 million users since October, rising to 15 million total users in November. Compare this to X with its reported user base of over 600 million and it’s easy to see why the political left was so enraged by the sale of the company to Musk with his abhorrent free speech policies.

It’s also hard to see how Bluesky represents anything other than a sweaty bubble of cope.

House Republicans pressed Deanne Criswell, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, about bias at FEMA after a supervisor directed staff to avoid helping Florida residents with signs supporting Donald Trump.

A FEMA supervisor, Marn’i Washington, told workers in a message to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida, to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid after Hurricane Milton, The Daily Wire’s Leif Le Mahieu reported. The directive reportedly prevented FEMA from offering post-hurricane aid to at least 20 homes displaying Trump signs or flags in late October and November.

Criswell announced that FEMA had fired Washington and claimed Washington acted on her own initiative in giving these orders. Yet Washington claimed that her directions were not an isolated incident. Sources inside FEMA have spoken to The Daily Signal and other outlets, also saying that the direction for FEMA staff to avoid Trump supporters was not an isolated incident.

Still smarting from the loss of its access to Washington as President-elect Donald Trump gears up to reenter the White House, the Left’s cancel culture enforcer has trained its sights on Not the Bee, the real-news partner of the Christian satire site The Babylon Bee.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, a far-left smear factory that gaslights its donors and engages in routine defamation against mainstream conservatives and Christians, targeted Not the Bee after Tesla Founder Elon Musk purchased Twitter in 2022. One of Musk’s first directives at Twitter was restoring The Babylon Bee’s speech on the platform, and it seems likely he bought the social media platform in part for this reason. Twitter had silenced the Bee for the crime of disagreeing with transgender orthodoxy, one of the key issues on which the SPLC will brook no dissent.

In fact, this connection may explain a secondary motive behind the SPLC’s attack.

A right-wing provocateur testifying against legislation expanding a firearms ban to lawmakers’ offices used a racial slur during a Senate committee hearing Thursday as he falsely accused lawmakers of attacking the gun rights of white people in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.

His actions drew strong condemnation from lawmakers.

Avi Rachlin of Detroit spoke at the Senate Committee on Civil Rights, Judiciary, and Public Safety representing “Groypers for America,” an apparent reference to a network of white supremacists.

Note that she doesn’t so much tell you what happened as she tells you what you ought to think about what happened. All hail the Narrative!

A top Democrat in Rep. Seth Moulton’s (D.) hometown said she would find someone to challenge and replace the Massachusetts congressman for saying he doesn’t want his daughters “getting run over” by transgender athletes.

Last week, Moulton told the New York Times that he has “two little girls” and doesn’t “want them ge??tting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.” In response, Salem Democratic City Committee chair Liz Bradt condemned Moulton while making her threat.

“We will not stop advocating for people from all walks of life and all identities. He can take on the far right words ‘identity politics’ to degrade our work. We will find someone to run against him and win,” Bradt said in a statement obtained by the Boston Globe. “Salem Democratic leadership issued a letter to all our members in opposition to his statements. Our membership will be voting on endorsing the letter at our meeting Thursday night.”

The days when most young voters, whether male or female, would reliably vote Democrat are over. Among the axiomatic election patterns smashed by Donald Trump, young men have swung to the Republicans by nearly 30%.

Cue the scorn. The Left-leaning press has derided the shift as merely the rise of “toxic masculinity” and the hatred of women’s rights. The New York Times described something even more sinister, calling it creeping “hegemonic masculinity”.

This reflexive contempt may unintentionally provide an explanation for the reversal. Many young men believe they live in a liberal-leaning society that actively despises them, treating them with disdain rather than empathy as their struggles have mounted.

In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, as they were waiting for the election workers in the so-called “blue wall” to tell them what they already knew, CNN’s Van Jones blamed sexism and racism for why Vice President Kamala Harris lost to President-elect Trump.

he old adage that there is no smoke without fire has taken on a sinister meaning in Australia after a series of arson attacks on tobacconists. The word “series” barely does it justice. “Endless succession” is closer to the mark. When a shop selling illegal tobacco was firebombed in Adelaide last Tuesday, it was the 16th such incident in South Australia and the 130th nationwide since the “tobacco turf wars” began last year. It was followed by another firebombing in Adelaide on Saturday, an arson attack on a gym in Melbourne on Sunday, two tobacconists set ablaze in Melbourne on Tuesday and a smoke shop in New South Wales being ram-raided and blown up yesterday.

With drive-by shootings and murders in broad daylight, Australia’s black market in tobacco and vapes should be a cautionary tale, but it has received little attention in the Northern hemisphere. The root of the problem is obvious. Australia has the highest tobacco taxes in the world and has banned e-cigarettes entirely. The market for both products is now largely in the hands of criminal gangs who encourage shopkeepers to sell their products by telling them to “earn or burn”.

You’d think that Suffs, a play about women’s suffrage, would be considered to be pretty progressive. It’s currently playing on Broadway, and has enjoyed broadly positive reviews from all the usual outlets. Yet earlier in the year, this most liberal of liberal shows was nonetheless assailed. In July, activists stormed the Music Box Theatre mid-performance, and began chanting demands for the musical’s cancellation. Just to make their point clear, they also unfurled a banner, emblazoned with the words “Suffs Is a White Wash”.

As that last phrase implies, and a quick glance at the protest the Cancel Suffs website confirms, the protesters are ultimately unhappy about Suffs for one fundamental reason: the whiteness of its feminism. A self-declared group of “radical, anti-racist, queer” feminists, the group rejects the idea that “white women are always aligned with progressive causes” — even as they attack Suffs for underplaying the supposed racism of those early electoral reformers. Taken together, in fact, Suffs is nothing less than “a betrayal” of the next generation of feminists.

The chaos in July is far from unique. At least according to a certain kind of intersectional feminist — the sort of person who believes trans women are women and sex work is work — “white feminists” are now to blame for everything. Consider, to give one example, the wild popularity of the “Karen” slur, an implicit (or sometimes not-so-implicit) attack on white women standing up for themselves. Then there’s the explosion of books. The titles speak for themselves: White Tears/Brown Scars: How White Feminism Betrays Women of Color; The Othered Woman: How White Feminism Harms Muslim Women; Against White Feminism; The Problem With White Feminism.

Dr. Eric Cubin, a Wyoming radiologist who was removed from the state Board of Medicine for supporting a bill restricting “gender-affirming care,” condemns the way transgender activists have taken over the medical establishment.

“I think the magnitude of the scandal is unprecedented. It’s unbelievable,” Cubin tells “The Daily Signal Podcast” about the medical industry’s support for experimental interventions euphemistically referred to as “gender-affirming care.”

“What it’s going to do, unfortunately, is serve to undermine people’s faith in the medical establishment,” he warns. “COVID did not help, and this certainly does not help.”

Yesterday, internet activist Christopher Rufo posted on Twitter a long post denouncing, disavowing and anathematizing someone named Chris Brunet. Apparently, Brunet used to work for Rufo or maybe they were friends, but Rufo now finds that old association inconvenient to his current relationships and career choices, so he decided to do the predictable thing and denounce Brunet. It is a weird form of public piety that the conservatives inherited from communism.

For those of a certain age, this is familiar stuff. While the format is different from the old days of conservatism, the act is the same. That post reads like a Twitter version of Bill Buckley’s denunciation of Pat Buchanan thirty years ago. Interestingly, that famous essay is nowhere to be found online, but the book version is still available. Imagine someone writing a forty-thousand-word essay denouncing someone then being so proud of it that he turned it into a book.

That is the first notable thing about this bit of drama. Those familiar with the history of conservatism recognize this performance. The person putting on the show is doing it for an audience that is never named, but always assumed. The stated audience is either credulous, incredulous or confused by the performance. Everything about this age is a reboot, especially the stuff that emanates from the political class, so the “new right” is just a low-budget reboot of the old right.

French essayists Dora Moutot and Marguerite Stern, who denounced the evils of transgender ideology in their book Transmania, have been forced to cancel a conference scheduled for October 22nd in Brussels after being subjected to violent threats from the extreme Left. This is not the first time they have been intimidated into silence. On this occasion, they felt that the risk to their safety was too great.

The two women made headlines with the publication of their essay in April 2024, denouncing the assault on Western society by the transgender lobbies. Since then, they have held a series of conferences to alert the public to the risks posed by these activists to children and teenagers, as well as to freedom of expression and women’s rights. On several occasions, the venues where the events were to be held have suffered serious damage. On a personal level, they have received death threats and are now travelling under police protection.

One of their scheduled conferences in Versailles recently had to be cancelled at the request of the intended venue. Stern and Moutot had planned to hold another conference in Brussels on October 22nd, at the initiative of the Café Laïque—founded by renowned academic Florence Bergeaud-Blacker, herself a regular victim of censorship. This time, they decided to cancel it themselves in the face of mounting threats.

was in 2015. The book fetched gushing reviews, admiring interviews in prestigious media, won eminent literary prizes, and almost instantly landed on high school and college required reading lists all over the country.

The book’s rapturous reception, as I can’t be the first to note, rather undermined its central assertion that white Americans are natural-born racists and that the United States is and always has been rooted in white supremacy. A nation so constituted would have ignored Coates’s book, or suppressed it. I wondered at the time if he was made uncomfortable by all the praise or if he secretly hoped America’s cultural arbiters would denounce him and demand that bookstores and libraries remove his book from their shelves.

Evidently I was onto something. In The Message, the 49-year-old’s third memoir, Coates recalls hearing about a high school teacher named Mary Wood in Chapin, S.C., who had been sharply criticized by parents for having her students read Coates’s Between the World and Me. Plainly he had been waiting for such a moment: He recounts traveling to Chapin in order to attend the school board meeting in which Wood’s case would receive a hearing. At a previous meeting of this school board, parents had lined up to demand her firing, some claiming that her assignment violated a state budget proviso forbidding Critical Race Theory.

At the meeting, Coates no doubt hoped to witness a string of fat Southern ignoramuses denouncing his book. In the event, he’s obliged to say, all the speakers expressed support for the embattled teacher and her use of Between the World and Me. “No one, not a single speaker, stood up to support the book’s banning,” he writes. He explains this oddity by noting that “school board meetings, and local politics, are small affairs, easily dominated by an organized faction, and that night the faction was Mary’s.” Uh-huh.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s presentation of the Hungarian EU Presidency’s programme in the European Parliament on Wednesday, October 9th, turned into a mud-slinging contest by leftist-liberal parties who used the opportunity to make outrageous, false accusations against the conservative government of Hungary.

Viktor Orbán said his aim was to present the suggestions of his government on ways to “make Europe great again” in areas such as competitiveness, migration, and security, but berated the far-left, centre-left, and liberal members of the European Parliament (EP) for turning the debate into a “party political intifada,” and for attacking Hungary with the usual “left-wing propaganda.”

He also criticised European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for giving a political speech, in which she, too, attacked Hungary and the patriotic parties of Europe instead of being a neutral actor, as the Commission should be. “The debate has gone beyond the bounds of reason and the world of facts,” Viktor Orbán said in conclusion.

A group of family therapists learned that denying so-called gender-affirming care to children is an example of “implicit bias” in a Zoom call recorded Monday and obtained by The Daily Signal.

The Zoom-based training, titled “Recognizing Bias: Avoiding Pitfalls in Gender-Affirming Care,” was hosted by family psychologist Dr. Shawn Giammattei, who identifies as a transgender man. Giammattei’s training teaches marriage and family therapists to overcome their “unconscious bias” toward transgender children.

Pamela Garfield-Jaeger, a self-described “anti-woke” social worker and author of “A Practical Response to Gender Distress: Tips and Tools for Families,” attended the Zoom training call Monday and shared the recording of it with The Daily Signal.

The second would-be Trump assassin, Ryan Wesley Routh, is clearly an unhinged individual. But that does not mean his actions were irrational.

Following the entire U.S. political establishment, Routh believes that Donald Trump is the foremost threat to the current world order. Because of Trump’s refusal to treat international relations as a Manichean struggle, particularly in regard to the war in Ukraine, he violated the political narrative that every power-wielding institution in the West wholeheartedly believes in. An interview recorded by Newsweek Romania shows Routh explaining that the war “is black and white—this is about good vs. evil.”

He imbibed this narrative from the ruling class and their friends in the mainstream media, all of whom equate a second Trump administration with the fall of the transatlantic world order and the return of regional centers of power in Europe. According to their thinking, the 45th president is committed to destroying NATO and continues to be an ignorant pawn—if not a willing asset—of Vladimir Putin. Trump’s electoral victory would therefore be akin to the end of “democracy,” both at home and abroad.

One does not need to be an expert logician to see where this line of reasoning leads. If true, is it really worth leaving such an important decision to the ballot box, especially when so many Americans have expressed support for the former president, demonstrating that they are incapable of being responsible citizens?

Spanish MEP Hermann Tertsch (Vox/PfE), one of its most trusted members, was excluded from the leadership of the European Parliament (EP) Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) during its constitutive meeting last week, despite having already served as a vice chair for the past five years.

What changed? Recently Tertsch joined the Patriots for Europe (PfE)—a group under the mainstream parties’ undemocratic cordon sanitaire. Once again, the Brussels elite has violated its own rules, while defying the will of millions of European voters.

The newly founded national conservative PfE group is the third largest party family in Brussels with 86 MEPs, representing over 80 million voters, yet this didn’t stop von der Leyen’s centrist European People’s Party (EPP) and its leftist allies from imposing a full cordon sanitaire on them after the European elections, excluding them from all top roles in the EP Bureau, all its committees, and now even its interparliamentary delegations.

There IS a Deep State, it IS international in scope, and they WILL fuck you up if you cross them.

Take whatever action you deem appropriate. If it involves automatic weapons, be sure to get the appropriate licenses.

The two French essayists Dora Moutot and Marguerite Stern, who are committed to denouncing transgender ideology, were targeted by attacks during a book signing at their publisher’s in Paris on Saturday, October 5th. At the event, 64 far-left activists were arrested by the police, amid a deafening media silence.

For months, the two authors have been hounded by transgender activists who have denounced the publication of their best-selling essay Transmania, in which the two women, coming from the Left and feminist movements, demonstrate the dangerous mechanisms of transgender ideology in society. Their public appearances are hounded to prevent them from holding conferences or presenting their book.

Recently, when they were invited to Lyon by ISSEP, the political science institute founded by Marion Maréchal, they were exposed to violent pressure to cancel their speech. The ISSEP premises were subjected to extensive material damage as a form of intimidation. The conference eventually went ahead but was held under heavy police protection.

Lin Robinson-Young isn’t a well-known figure. On social media, the Victoria, B.C.-based social-justice activist self-describes as an “autistic thembo nerd” who seeks to “free Palestine”; but otherwise provides scant biographical information, and attracts few followers. But such is the radicalised political climate in British Columbia’s capital, at the heart of what is sometimes called Canada’s “left coast,” that a single local obscurity such as this can pose a real threat to the free speech rights of everyone else.

On September 15, Robinson-Young posted to a Facebook group called Victoria BC Protests (Activism & Demonstrations), denouncing the local Royal Canadian Legion hall for hosting a group of women that I’d helped bring together for a speaking tour. Our organisation, Vancouver Island Speaks, stands for the propositions that biology is real; that women deserve the right to establish protected spaces that are free of men (no matter what pronouns they care to use); that parents of gender-distressed children should be informed by educators if their children seek to adopt a new identity; and that minors should not be treated with life- and body-altering hormones and surgeries as a means to cope with gender stereotypes and the stresses of puberty. According to Robinson-Young, these positions mark us as a “far-right anti-transgender hate group.”

Last week, Amy Wax, the Robert Mundheim Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania (“Penn”) and three-time recipient of awards for excellence in teaching, was stripped her of her chaired professorship, suspended for a year at half pay, and denied summer pay in perpetuity. Why? As far as I can tell, for telling her students the truth in the classroom and exercising her constitutional right to express her private opinions outside the classroom.

The national conservative Patriots for Europe (PfE) group, the third largest party family in Brussels with 84 MEPs, has officially launched a lawsuit against the European Parliament at the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU). PfE aims to overturn the mainstream parties’ cordon sanitaire, which strips the group of all its earmarked leading positions in the Parliament’s governing bodies—even at the expense of violating the institutions’ own internal rules.

The right-wing group is home to parties such as the French National Rally, the Hungarian Fidesz, the Italian Lega, the Austrian FPÖ, the Czech ANO, and the Portuguese Chega. Many of these won the European elections in their respective countries and remain the most popular parties to this day (the FPÖ won the general elections in Austria just two days ago). Yet, the mainstream still believes it’s justified to exclude the PfE from power on account of it being “far-right.”

Beijing has published its proposed regulations for satellite broadband, including a requirement that operators conduct censorship in real time.

In its latest draft rules, the Cyberspace Administration of China proposes any organization or individual using terminal equipment with direct connection to satellite services is not allowed to “produce, copy, publish, or disseminate content prohibited by laws and administrative regulations, such as content that incites subversion of state power, overthrows the socialist system, endangers national security and interests, damages the national image, incites secession of the country, undermines national unity and social stability, promotes terrorism, extremism, ethnic hatred, ethnic discrimination, violence, pornography, and false information.”

It clarifies that terminal equipment includes civilian handheld, portable, and fixed terminals, as well as terminals installed on aircraft, ships, and vehicles – essentially any device that enables users to access satellite communication systems for voice calls, text messaging, and data exchange.

The document states that providers must align their operations with national security and network security requirements, and prevent illegal activities.
